I've been a member at Ohio Strength for a few years and have had an excellent experience with their strength programming and the quality of their coaching. Throughout the years, I've gone to several different class times and worked with a lot of the coaches. Each one is incredibly technical and great to work with. I’ve always felt like Ohio Strength is as much a community as it is a CrossFit gym. The programming that Ryan and his team prepare for our CrossFit classes is both challenging and stimulating. If you’re looking for a high quality gym in the Columbus area, Ohio Strength is a great choice.

This is a great gym with a bunch of knowledgeable coaches who will help you reach your goals. The owner of the gym is present and knows most of the members. Although the workout is preassigned daily, you can come in to use the gym during workout class times. I'd recommend this gym.

Love this gym so much. Tons of equipment. Everything you could need plus more. Knowledgable, friendly coaches and supportive community of members. 24/7 access brings it all home. Wish I would’ve found this place years ago.

I started during the Bring a Friend week and have had really good experiences so far. I've been really interested in lifting more weights because I know the benefits of lifting weights, especially for women (increased bone density, lean muscle mass, etc.). But have no idea what I'm doing - so thought I'd give this a shot. I love that the workouts are buildable (on the level method) - so as I get better and improve, I just move up to the next level and it's going to be challenging too. The community and vibes are good too. Members are friendly and fun. Coaches are knowledgeable and good at explaining things. I can see why people like to talk about CrossFit. ;)

Great gym and great coaches who give sound advice according to your level. The community at Ohio strength is also a big plus! People are friendly and always willing to help each other out.

This gym is awesome! The facility is 100% accommodating to anyone, and everyone’s fitness level. The faculty is more than helpful, welcoming, and motivating. They are all very responsive to each individual’s questions, concerns, and goals. Their instructing ability, knowledge, and information is above and beyond reproach. Not only are the instructors, and staff great to work with, there is a wealth of knowledge within its members too. Everyone is more than willing to help out at any given time. If you’re looking for a great place to start your fitness journey with great people and a friendly environment to all, this is the place.

Ohio Strength offers an amazing facility and community. The programming uses the Level Method, which is perfect for beginners through advanced athletes, folks with injuries or different movement abilities, and people just looking to keep moving throughout their life (Read: Me). There's no pressure to be the best athlete in the gym - just better than you were yesterday. The coaches are knowledgeable and will *literally* go out of their way to help you with your form, movements, etc. It's clear they are passionate about helping their athletes achieve their personal goals (not a "one-size-fits-all" approach). The gym also offers well-maintained equipment, private shower rooms, electrolyte-infused drinking water, and R&R areas (to name a few). A+ | Highly Recommend.

I was intimidated to start CrossFit but I have loved my experience at Ohio Strength. All of the coaches are supportive and watch carefully to make sure each movement is safe and efficient. I have learned a ton and really enjoy my workouts. It's also a great community. Can't recommend it enough!

I’ve been going to Ohio strength on and off for years. Such a great community and good coaches. And the owner, Ryan is constantly working to improve the gym, equipment and overall experience for members.

This is my first experience with CrossFit and I didn’t know if I was ready or prepared for it but gave it a chance anyways. I have been loving it from the start and glad I gave it a try. I instantly felt very welcomed both by coaches and the members. I meet more and more great and supportive people with every work out. The energy is really positive. I am always looking forward to the classes. Big shout out to coaches Zach, Shelby and Lindsey for patience and guidance. Coach Ryan does an amazing job at making the experience personal and keeps checking in throughout the process. I definitely recommend this gym no matter where you are at with you fitness level. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I do.

I dropped in for a workout while in town for a trade show. The gym was outfitted well, though a bit hidden in a back-alley. I usually enjoy a sense of community at Crossfit gyms. I have to say, folks were nice enough at this one, but there was no introductions, nobody knew any body's name, etc. I was not impressed with the social aspect.

Amazing gym with even more amazing people! Highly recommend giving it a try. I had never done crossfit prior to joining this gym and they were very welcoming and made trying something new a lot less intimidating. CrossFit is for EVERYONE! Come give it a try!

Great gym! Clean and well equipped but more importantly the staff and members are very supportive. Cross fit was and still is a bit intimidating for me but the coaches and other member are making me feel comfortable with the environment and the work outs. I'm older and don't fit "the prototype" of a cross fitter but I'm slowly losing the fear factor. Show up and the rest will take care of its self!

I've been doing crossfit for about 8 years and recently moved to the area looking for a good gym. I tried a couple in the area and Ohio Strength immediately stood out. Ryan, the owner, truly cares for each member of the gym, people are SO friendly, and the programming is solid. There is a methodology to the programming detailed in the gym's blog if you are interested in that sort of thing. Fun and clean environment, and the gym continues to expand!!

Great gym, great coaches and great community. Everyone is welcoming and encouraging. From beginners to experts. Scaling is more than acceptable. If you cannot do something in the workout the couch can suggest many alternatives.

I just started with Ohio Strength a few weeks ago and feel a whole lot better about my fitness journey. I was very intimidated at first to see all oft he more experience cross fit athletes doing workouts, but the coaches were great in helping me determine what I can and can not do at this point in my fitness journey and still helping me build toward some of the higher level things I saw others doing! They never made me feel bad for needing adjustments and I always walk away feeling like i got a great workout in and I made progress toward my goals!

This gym has blown the doors off my expectations. The environment is super encouraging and friendly. The owner is very transparent and seriously takes feedback into consideration. This would be an awesome gym just to drop in at if you're visiting Columbus, but also one of the best to start CrossFit or take your fitness to the next level. The programming is challenging but smart. I cannot say enough great things about this gym.

I started going to Ohio Strength during COVID when I didn't feel safe in a smaller space. It's a big, well-ventilated space, which was great for pandemic safety, but beyond that, they've kept me because of the great experience I have when I go there. I'm not a skilled athlete, but they're good about giving scaling options for every level. And the scaling options actually help you get a good workout and make fitness progress at your level; they're not an afterthought. The coaches are great, the community is supportive-- definitely come check it out!

Ohio Strength has very well trained/supportive/professional coaches. The team members are very supportive as well, which makes achieving your CrossFit goals that much easier! I've been coming here for about five weeks and my expectations have been exceeded. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Having never done CrossFit before, I have found that I have a lot to learn. The environment at Ohio Strength makes learning easy though, because it's such a positive, encouraging atmosphere.

My husband and I have been going to Ohio Strength since March of 2021. We started going because we wanted a gym that was a welcoming community that encouraged us to take good care of ourselves in all areas. We have absolutely loved it! We most often take classes from Coach Phil and love his style. He is always helping members with their form and ready to help when you're struggling. I would highly recommend Ohio Strength if you're looking for a top tier gym experience!
