Nice park in Gahanna - has a full court basketball court and a couple of pickleball courts.

The pinnacle of playground delight. Only thing is missing is something that spins. Aside from that it has everything a kid, and his child at heart father, could desire. Throw in a nice trail and we've got a recipe for success.

A large park that has just about everything a community park should have. A gazebo, shelter house, actual restrooms, tennis courts, basketball court, community garden, playground equipment, hiking trails ( mostly mowed grass but well maintained),large parking area, and scenic views of Big Walnut Creek and Rocky Fork Creek.

This beautiful park is a Gahanna gem. Nestled in a sleepy historic neighborhood. When pulling in you are greeted by one of the two covered picnic areas. The play area offers four swings. The alternative play areas have equipment designed for ages ranging from 2-12. On a lower level of the park are basketball courts, tennis courts, a Gaga pit grassy null (Where Gahanna hosts movies under the stars weather permitting) and other entrances to trails. The Gahanna community garden is located in this park as well. There are also two sets of restrooms.

When I was a child, my grandma used to take my brothers and me here to run around and walk through the little trails, so I've been visiting this place for decades! 🌳 The park is a great place for children to play on the playground and to meander around without getting lost in the wooded areas. 😊 There are public restrooms here (both male and female and one unisex restroom attached to the shelter), a full basketball court, tennis court, grills, and a vegetable/herb garden area. The park is also located by the Gahanna Historical Homes (which are super cute!).

Fun park for all ages. The play equipment has slides tall enough for bigger kids. Playground with swings, natural walking trail and a creek. Definitely worth a visit. The waterway has kayak access.

Beautiful community park. There's a great play area for young kids, a gaga-ball court, tennis courts and trails that run down to the creek for exploring. Be careful during high flood times in the spring as the creek is fast moving and the banks can be slippery. There is a newly added kayak launch, a community garden (yes, plots can be rented) a large shelter house and plenty of parking.

This park is great! I was so happy they had the "toddler" play structure for ages 2-5. This place gets pretty busy after school time but there's lots to do and there's even open green space as well.

Great park with awesome community gardens! This is a true gem for the City of Gahanna, and my wife and I love going here. We have rented community gardens here for the past two years now and would recommend it to anyone who wants some extra gardening space.

Great park! It has a nice playground, bathrooms, shelter house, a nice creek, and a gazebo where they play music on Friday nights. We've enjoyed a couple concerts here. Lots of trees for shade if you just want to hang out. The park is well maintained and clean.

Nice park for families and kids. It’s next to a creek that you can go kayaking in or you can walk a trail through the woods which will take you to a kind of beach area of the creek.

In all the years I have lived here, and the countless rimes my family and I have been to these waters, we've never ran across a beaver. It was a special moment for our family. Thos fella came out of the water and walked right up to our son and just looked at him for a long while before ambling on to eat. We're grateful for the experience.

Kid friendly. Nice walk. They may want to address their signs that are set up for educational purposes.

Family friendly park with plenty of parking, water fountain and bathrooms (in warmer weather). Trails along the creek, basketball and tennis courts.

  • 4/5 Katherine L. 3 years ago on Google
The story trail was very cool. My first grader was able to read the story with minimal help. The playground looked fun but will have to test that once it warms up a bit.

This is a beautiful park nestled within Gahanna and is always a joy to visit. The park equipment is in great condition, there's no fading paint cracks or other damage and the landscaping is maintained exceptionally well. I have never seen any trash here. There is a lush garden area and the entire park is surrounded by trees, flowers, and shrubbery. There is a walking area, an outdoor pavilion, a gazebo, and several benches to sit and watch your kids play or just enjoy the park. The park equipment is separated into two sections, one side is for younger children and the other side is for older kids, So family is with kids of all ages can enjoy the park as well. A newer addition to the parking lot here features charging spaces for electric vehicles.

Friendship Park is one of the true hidden gems in Gahanna. Nestled off the beaten path a quick turn off Granville Street back behind the old barber and the Wendy's is a beautiful place to play. Extensive playgrounds and areas for families to enjoy a good picnic and even rent space for a family reunion. The best is if you wander far enough down the path you will find yourself lost in a green wonderland with the sound of the Rocky Fork Creek not far away.. and then eventually if you're not careful you'll just about stumble right into that creek. A go to for all of the almost 9 years BentHaze has been running paths and up and down climbing walls. A true joy for you and your little people. Welcome to Gahanna and the true joys of being here.

Very nice park. It's well kept and has plenty of room in the shelters. There's a playground for kids and nice trails too.

All of the parks that I have visited in Gahannna are great parks. They were pristine up until a couple years ago. Not entirely sure what happened around then? However, there is a very noticeable difference in both upkeep and craftsmanship. Still great places to enjoy the outdoors don't get me wrong. And most of those out here will have no clue what I am talking about.

Our favorite park! It’s got a massive playground and so many picnic locations. There’s a creek with easy steps to access and a lot of trails. There are also several bathrooms. It’s a beautiful place.

The park is very nice with tennis and basketball courts and a great jungle gym for kids of all ages. It was clean and not too crowded and had plenty of shaded seating with tables to eat and relax.

It is a nice little park with a beautiful trail that leads to a scenic view of Rocky Fork as it flows into Big Walnut Creek. I love to walk my 🐕 there. He enjoys getting into a shallow stream of water to cool down on a hot summer day! A big plus is a neighbourhood around the park. It is a historic site with lots of charming and quiant houses.

Gazebo, shelter, bathrooms: all clean. Public garden, great playground for all ages and a story/sensory walk to the creek. What's not to love?

  • 5/5 Daleo E. 3 years ago on Google
Sometimes, the bridge is out. The river strikes it. It's like a constant battle against nature. The place is a reminder of Man's Hubris. This park has NOTHING to do with friendship. LET THAT BE KNOWN. There are ducks that will harass your children here if you leave them unattended. Also, this park is home to the most useless paddle-boat ride. But! Free parking near by makes this park very convenient.

👍 Great dog park. A lot of open space for them in a fenced in area. Not a big park and not much room for anything else other than a basketball court, some playground equipment and a shelter house. Big Walnut Creek runs alongside the road that goes to the back of the park. I guess that road is what's us...
