We had an amazing experience on the Columbus Food Adventures Meat Lovers tour! The tour was well organized, started promptly and was completed on time. Our host, Andy, was gracious, funny and very knowledgeable about the Columbus food scene. And best of all, we sampled a wide range of delicious food from four locally owned purveyors of meat! The tour included a 100+ year-old German smoke house, a Pakistani market and cafe which featured Tandoori cooked meats, a Korean BBQ restaurant and culminated with an elegant French restaurant that is consistently on the top of the "Columbus's Best Restaurants" list. It was a really fun evening out exploring with other foodies. I highly recommend it and felt it was a great value. Cheers!

We now done four of these tours and each one has been great. Yet this one was the best one yet. So many great stops; so much great food (note: make sure you pace yourself); so much great information; so much fun! Highly recommend CFA to anyone interested in having a good time.

We just got back from the alt eats tour. Andy was our tour guide. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and couldn’t be happier with our choice of tours. Each of the stops had something different and all stops were delicious! Andy made the evening interesting and very enjoyable! We will see you again soon for another tour!

We had a fantastic time on our German Village tour with the fabulous, Liz, as our guide. We've been on several food tours in other cities and this one truly delivered the best value . . . we got so much food and it was all so delicious. There were 6 stops on our tour and they were all very different. Liz was a wonderful, engaging guide and by the end of the tour she felt like an old friend. She guided us up and down walking up and down the brick streets in German Village and we enjoyed seeing the beautiful homes and gardens and hearing some of the history. It's a beautiful neighborhood and the food tour was a great way to explore it. Highly recommend!

This past Saturday we did the Short North Food Tour and had a very wonderful experience! Allison was our tour guide and she was very kind, informative, and knowledgeable. She was very engaging and answered all of our questions. We made 6 stops and got quite a bit of food on our tour. We will definitely do another food tour in the future!

We took the German Village walking tour. Gorgeous day for a walking tour! Our tour guide was 11/10. Local to the neighborhood, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I really loved that she gave some history of the area, some information on the architecture of the area, as well as all of the food experiences. I live and work in Columbus and received this tour as a gift but will 100% be taking another tour. This is an amazing way to explore a neighborhood that I’m not intimately familiar with and try new places I may not have gone otherwise.

Hinal did my grand view food tour and she was wonderful. She was very energetic, excited and happy to be there. Her energy radiated onto our experience and made the whole evening exhilarating. She had so much history of the local area and helped accommodate my dietary restrictions. Lovely event

My daughter and I just took the Alt Eats tour and it was the most wonderful experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable and shared lots of neat little tidbits and anecdotes in addition to the facts about the cuisines and restaurants. The food was AMAZING and the pace of the tour was perfect. I cannot recommend this experience enough. If trying new food from local restaurants while learning more about the people nourishing you is your thing, a food tour should be on your list. The price for the entire evening was also WELL worth it!!

Had a fantastic time on the Short North Food Tour! Our guide Alison was fabulous, the food was delicious, the tour was fun & interesting, and we ended with Jeni's ice cream - what's not to like? Can't wait to try another tour the next time we come back to Columbus! :)

My husband and I loved our food tour of the Short North. We enjoyed trying several new foods that were all delicious. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was very knowledgeable about the Short North. We learned some interesting historical facts. We highly recommend taking the tour. Request Jennifer!

Our Columbus Food Adventures guide was an expert on the rich and fascinating architectural history of German Village. The six restaurants we visited provided us with a diverse variety of tasty treats and snacks. At the last restaurant stop we had a fine sit- down dinner with ample portions for all. This is a 2-mile walking tour but with no hills and with plenty of stops for food and learning about historical landmarks. It is not physically demanding for anyone in average shape. My lady friend and I are septunagenarians and we had no difficulty. This is a first-rate tour. We highly recommend it.

Columbus Food Adventures is one of my favorite parts of Columbus! I've now been on five tours, and I've enjoyed every one! All of the guides are fun, insightful, and don't exert a sense of needing to rush to get through. Logan on the German Village was so knowledgeable about the area, and I really felt connected to the area. Jennifer made for a fun and entertaining atmosphere on the Short North tour. Andy made for a personable and great conversations since the tour was just our group and him. The other tour guides are just as informed and wonderful too. I can't recommend these tours enough, and I bring my family and visitors on them usually to give them a taste of Columbus! Don't even get me started on the food stops, as they're well chosen and give a good impression of the area. If you're thinking this might be fun, it is!

Me and my partner recently took an alt eats tour to celebrate our anniversary. This was such a fun date night experience and we left the night saying that we want to do another tour! Not only do you get to try wonderful food from many different cultures, you also learn about the rich diversity Columbus has to offer and the food history of the staple dishes you sample. Andy is a great tour guide and community member who goes above and beyond in connecting folks to the community through shared food experiences! We'll be back. 😊

This food tour was my first visit to the German Village. I'm now in love with the German Village and everything it has to offer. Liz is a wonderful tour guide with her fun personality and knowledge of the village, history, restaurants, and establishments. All of the food was delicious. We had a different food experience at each stop. I look foward to going on more food tours.

Had an incredible time with my daughter on the German village food tour. Our tour guide Allison was full of knowledge and information that made the day very exciting and fun. The food was delicious and we were so blessed with an incredible weather. We will do another tour for sure. I think I will also gift my daughter and son-in-law a tour. Thanks again for sure a fun good quality adventure

My husband and I did a tour in German Village this past Sunday October 1st and we had a great time! We tried more food and places than we expected, 6 different places in total and were completely stuffed by the time we were heading home. Logan was our tour guide, he was so personable and knowledgeable about the area. He did an amazing job talking to everyone in the whole group to make them feel welcomed and made sure everyone enjoyed their time. Highly recommend him and Columbus Food Adventures!

Recently attended the Alt Tour. Wasn’t sure what to expect. Andy was a great tour guide! He knows his food, especially foreign foods. He provided us with backgrounds of the restaurant’s and their heritages and histories. The food was great! Everyone has their own preferences and mine was the Brazilian. Food was delicious, fresh and hot. The staff was wonderful and courteous. The transportation van was clean and comfortable. May be a little difficult for elderly people to get into or those with bad knees etc. Had a great first impression and experience! Finished the night full and happy. Looking to schedule our next! Thanks Andy!!!

German Village tour is outstanding! Logan is a superb tour guide. He engaged all the individuals on the tour, making each feel welcome. He is very knowledgeable about the GV historic district and kept us all engaged during the four hours of walking and sampling delicious food. I highly recommend.

I loved this experience! I chose the alt eats tour that featured ethnic restaurants around North Columbus. What a fantastic way to expand your palate. Our tour guide was one of the co-owners and he was engaging and interpersonal. Together our group had a perfect environment for leaning and enjoying delicious food. I'd recommend anyone to take a tour!

Short North Food Tour guide Lindsay was remarkable; very knowledgeable about the story behind the district we toured. With a great sense of humor, she paced the tour and our food samples perfectly, and gave us info to confidently explore further. Our Friday morning group of 5 was a perfect size. I can’t recommend this food tour and Lindsay highly enough. A perfect welcome and orientation on my first day in Columbus!

Fun afternoon. My friends and I did the Short North Tour. There was plenty of food and a good variety. I've done food tours in many cities and this was one of the better ones. The only suggestion I have for our guide would be to introduce the group to each other and encourage interaction with each other. For the most part the parties just stayed to themselves and people didn't mingle as much as in other tours I've been on.

My wife and I had a great experience on our food tour with Columbus Food Adventures! We went on the Worthington tour and got to try several different restaurants and vendors on high street. Katie was a great guide and each restaurant we stopped at was exceptional. I would highly recommend this as a day out in Columbus, and we will definitely be booking one of their other tours. Thank you Katie for a great tour of Worthington!

We did a German Village food tour on 6/3 with Logan. It was amazing. The food was incredible, and was the perfect portion for sampling. Logan was a wealth of historical and architectural information. I live in Columbus, and I’ll never look at German Village the same way! Highly recommended, even if you’re local!

My husband and I did a meat lovers tour. We started at Thurn's, which is a meat processing company established in the 1880s. The owner (a great grandson of the founder) took us through the back and gave us a guided tour, which concluded in sampling of many types of meats that he makes, including beef tongue and blood head cheese. That was honestly the most interesting part of the tour but that might just be the history buff in me talking! Next we went to Tandoori Grill where we walked through the kitchen and saw how they make naan. The dough is laid out on a pillow, and then he punches the pillow onto the side of the round oven, and it sticks to the side and bakes. Afterwards there was quite a spread of kebabs and tandoori chicken. Everything was absolutely amazing. The third stop was a Korean BBQ. There was tons of food, and it was delicious. At this point I was exploding at the seams but still had one stop to go, The Refectory. When it was all said and done, we visited four places over the course of 4 1/2 hours. If you're looking for a cool evening, definitely check this tour out.

What a fun and informative night. We did the “all eats food tour” which was facilitated via a van to many ethnic restaurants. Andy was the best food guide and brought a wealth of knowledge about the Columbus food scene and about the specific dishes we enjoyed. We are new to Columbus and so this was a wonderful way to find unique and incredibly good eats. Thank you Columbus Food Adventures. We will definitely be back for other adventures.

Went on the German village tour with my boyfriend and best friend Sunday 11/20/22. It was BITTER cold but Dusty our tour guide helped us forget about that the best he could haha. His knowledge and enthusiasm really made tour so enjoyable and we learned a lot about the village itself but also each restaurant we went to. It was nice to feel a connection to each place. The food was so good we will definitely plan to go back. Great experience and a huge shout-out to Dusty again.

Awesome tour of Columbus' Brewery District! Tons of great information and delicious food and beer from local vendors I'd never heard of. Alexis was a knowledgeable, welcoming, funny, and energetic tour guide. Recommend 100% - even in cold weather!

Jennifer provided a fantastic tour for us! She was extremely knowledgeable, she was kind and outgoing and had a great balance of giving us information and letting us enjoy the experience. She did great accommodating our tour on a cold day. Perfect blend of city history, knowledge, variety of places, and great tastes throughout the Short North! I tried so many new foods that I never had before. Highly recommend, we look forward to our next tour!

This was my 4th tour with Columbus Food Adventures and I've always been over-stuffed with both food and new fun facts about whatever area we're exploring by the end of the tour. I'd give 5 stars to the Grandview tour, the Worthington tour and the German Village tour, but the Franklinton tour fell a bit short. This was absolutely NO fault of our tour guide, Jim, who was the former Executive Director of the Franklinton Development Association and co-founded the Franklinton Arts District. He was extremely knowledge as well as personable. He clearly had a passion for rejuvenating/reinventing the area as an arts hub and even pointed out his own house as we were touring! The problem was the food -- or the lack thereof. There were 13 of us (I think) in our group and at the first stop, we got to split (into 13 pieces) one soft pretzel, one plate of chicken wings and one plate of buffalo cauliflower. The portions were miniscule. At the time, I was thinking, 'Well, it's just the first stop; maybe it's good they're pacing our eating.' Turned out the only other food on the tour was a quarter slice of pita bread with hummus (which was delicious, but way too small) and a tiny BBQ sampler with one singular rib, half a chicken thigh and half a piece of sausage. That was it. I left the tour hungry -- and I'm a 120-lb woman; I cannot imagine how disappointed some of the larger folks on our tour must've been. Yes, we were given adult beverage samples at four stops and those were generous pours, but I thought I'd signed up for a FOOD tour, not a BEER/ALCOHOL tour. Thinking this tour should be publicized differently if it's predominantly beer with a small sampling of bar food on the side. It was listed under "Walking Tours" on the website, the same as the other food tours mentioned earlier. Definitely not what I was expecting after my previous 3 tours with this organization, which were all over-the-top delicious and filling. Kudos to Jim for imparting so much history as well as the hopes of Franklinton to our group, but that was really the only bright spot in my opinion.

My husband and I have taken 4 tours offered by Columbus Food Adventures: The Taco Truck Tour, Alternative Eats, The Short North Tour and The German Village Tour. Each tour was planned to give the customers not only delicious food but plenty of background about the restaurants and noteworthy historical information. Our most recent tour of The German Village was one of our favorites. Our tour guide, Logan was well versed in German Village architecture and history. He was so much fun to be with and added a lot of interesting antidotes to our tour. Each of the 6 food stops was unique, starting with a delicious sandwich and unusual couscous salad at the Brown Bag Deli and ending with Barcelona’s signature paella. Of course, no trip to German Village would be complete without a stop at Schmidt’s. But there was so much more with special dessert stops and even a visit to a Lebanese/Italian restaurant. If you are going on a food tour to sample the food in an area, all your expectations will be met with Columbus Food Adventures. In addition, each tour is an educational experience and just a lot of fun. We have invited out of town guests to join us on our last two tours - what a great way to get out of cooking lunch and dinner!

I enjoyed my Short North food tour with Columbus Food Adventures. We visited at least 8 food establishments getting portions of the house specialities. There was plenty of food samples, so much so that I had trouble finishing up toward the end. It was about 3 hours of history, information and food. We saw murals and a statue of Arnold Swarzenegger as part of the downtown tour. Jennifer was our guide and she was considerate, warm and knowledgeable. She spoke loud enough and waited to finish speaking when loud motorcycles or vehicles passed by. She smiled and seemed to enjoy her job. I would recommend this activity. Nice people from all over were in attendance and a variety of other tours are available.
