This is a great community park. There are plenty to do here. Love the fitness trails. A lot of trees along the trail. Jogging, walking, walk your dog. May not appropriate for cycling. There are also tennis courts, soccer field, and baseball fields.

We came here for the playground. My toddler loves playing here because of the seesaw. They offer plenty of options for younger kids, as well as for bigger kids. The only downside for me is that the ground is mulched, instead of rubber, but that's just my preference.

Went there after nearly 6 months- and for the 1st time this winter season. Thanks to all the construction on Fishinger road in Fall 2023- I avoided walking North on Reed Road for months!! Thompson Park did not disappoint- it was just as nice as it was in Summer. Beautiful open spaces, nice walking path and many activities.

A great, well kept park for walking the pups, or walking in general. Paved walkways that can be looped together for longer walks, or just going around the perimeter path is about 1.1 miles. Various species of trees are marked and there are benches to take breaks on. Soccer fields, baseball diamonds and tennis/pickleball courts are here, as are youth athletic leagues on weekends. A wetland with a wooden boardwalk (careful it's slick when wet) gives a shady view of waterfowl. And beware the weather warning siren that's tested every Wednesday at noon!
