We love Batelle and this is another absolutely beautiful part of it. Easy to locate. When you pull in, there is a parking area immediately to the left but if you want to get to the ponds and trails, you want to keep going down the road. As of note, there is a part of the road that is one vehicle only over the bridge. The trails are well mowed and have post markers. There are benches throughout to take a rest if needed or to just sit an enjoy the views. The longer trails around the ponds are about 1 mile each. Parking in the main area is gravel and has a good amount of spaces. There is also a Porta Potty on site. No trashcans as it is a CarryIn/CarryOut park.

Bug spray is needed, fishing spots are good, walking trails are mowed sometimes not to often ,bridge is super bumpy, 1 porta john available, all gravel road dusty. No trash cans

Nice park. Sometimes a little overgrown on the paths around the ponds but overall the keep it well maintained and mowed. The park closes at dark, so it closes very early in the winter unfortunately. They do also provide a Porta potty for emergencies and last minute uses. Pets are allowed, but no biking paths seem to be available at this entrance to the park.

My son and I just moved to the area. We went fishing on Father’s Day. I wanna publicly thank the Metro Park ranger that we met. She was super friendly and even showed us a better fishing spot. Thank you from my son and myself for being awesome!

Great place to take a casual walk, the trails are easy to walk. Seems to be a big spot for fishing since you have several areas to pick from.

What a fantastic spot! We went for the first time and had a great time exploring the trails. There are just a couple nice trails that go through the woods, along the ponds, and along the creek. It's peaceful and scenic and fun for kids to explore.

Nice trails, well maintained area. I don't recommend this place if you are planning to walk a gun shy dog. Lots of target practice happening very nearby.

It was beautiful. My only complaint is that the trails are not marked so you don't know what trail you're on, and the posts have arrows but no signs saying which trail is which. Even the map(s) are poorly marked.
