It's $15 per person, if you see just one. My husband and I went yesterday, but if you see both castles, and they are less than a mile apart, they give you a discount. We paid $50. They were built in 1887 so yes, they aren't in pristine shape, but they are perfectly taken care of and totally safe. We were amazed at how great of shape they were in. The larger one is in the worst shape. Gorgeous homes and the grounds are beautiful. There are highly knowledgeable tour guides there, but they basically give you an overview of the castle's history and then let you explore on your own, which I prefer, although if you have any question they are very happy to answer them. I can't wait to go back with friends!

This is a unique museum/home. Not quite a castle, but close enough! The tour is self guided and there are several rooms to view on two floors. The price was a little high at $13. And one reviewer mentioned AARP discount, but they told me they did not have one Just AAA. If I was not camping nearby, I would not make a special trip. I thought the house was unique, but not anything worth a very long drive for. We spent about 45 minutes. There is a lot of information, but mostly centered around the Piatt family. Part of the home is still occupied.

The tour is very small. You only get to enter three rooms, others are blocked off, and you can only lean in for a view. It's a nice glimpse of local history of a well to do family but the price is very high for what you get. 13$ for adults and 7$ for kids I believe. I would value this at 5$ tour.

You get a discount off the tour if you show your AARP membership! Cool place, relatively fast tour (we did the self-paced, took us like 30-40 min) and it was nice. Our favorite was the random door that was at the top of the castle tower visible from the outside.

Incredible experience that was very personal and without words to describe. So much of the stories that are historically related, are just our own stories told again in a different light. It can bring wisdom, insight, and healing to spend time in places like this and to reap treasures of the past. A massive shout out to Logan and all his wisdom and the enjoyable fellowship my son and I had with him!

This was an interesting tour. Who knew Ohio had so may castles one can visit? The ticket price of $13 was a little pricey for a self guided tour but I assume the fee goes toward maintenance and upkeep. The on site staff were willing to answer questions. Everyone was cheerful. I would NOT take small children. There are lots of artifacts that no one would want them to touch. Overall it was positive experience.

They have a kid’s scavenger hunt which was engaging for my 5 year old and you get a prize if you find all the items. Very cool place!

Is a very beautiful place, we enjoyed being able to walk around unattended and actually look at stuff without being watched over. The front desk attendant was friendly and even came outside and showed the little ones how to play with the primitive toys that were outside.

It was a quick stop after visiting The Ohio Caverns. Not much to really really do or look at unless you spend $$ to do the inside tour. Wouldn't take much to add some attractions or activities outside to keep people happy who don't have the $ to spend on the tour...

Beautiful, historic museum/land that chronicles the affluent Piatt family, and gives a glimpse into their lives and achievements at the tail end of the 1800's to early 20'th century. Logan was our very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide!

I enjoyed this but the tour inside the house was too short for me. I like to spend more time on tours like this. Maybe when they reopen the other house it'll be a better experience for me.

It's an interesting house and the staff was very knowledgeable. The weekend we were there they had a WWII battle reenactment. We weren't sure why and it was mostly in the trees so we could only hear some shooting. Still not sure what that was about and it was kind of weird.

Very beautiful and full of History! And their worker Logan was amazing, she is so full of energy and loves telling you about all the rich history of the castle! She was truly a beautiful soul and was a wonderful person to meet! She made the experience 1000x better! ❤️

My husband and I happened upon Piatt while in West Liberty today. We stepped back into time with the decor, furniture, war memorabilia, photographs and more. Our pleasant experience was even better with the knowledge from, Logan (staff). Thank you, Logan and the Family Member (we apologize we didn't get your name) for taking your time and talking to us and sharing your knowledge! Newlyweds John & Diana D. (CELLAR)

👍👍 Before hiking at Malabar Farm State Park, we stopped by Mt.Jeez. It was a perfect day to view the countryside. The pictures really don't do it justice. Once we got here, we didn't want to leave.

🫤 The dog park itself is good. Lot of space & dogs. But some dog owner (and dog) are NOT! Our 28 lb mini aussie got bitten by a husky yesterday. My dog had played for more than an hour so he was very tired and lying on the ground. After the husky entered the park, he/she rushed from the gate to my do...
