I lived in glenchester lakes for over 6yrs. Office women are very friendly. Maintenance however is a joke. My front window and door where very drafty. First request they said the window wasn't closed properly totally ignoring the daylight coming through 90% of the front door and the major cracks to the exterior window area. It took showing pictures of the door to get management to change the seal. And after 3yrs of window complaints I gave up. When my Ac went out the initial repair if you can call it that did not last until I made it home from work. It took threatening to call in a repair man to get them to handle this repair. So maintenance was always an issue. After moving out they came up with damage charges that did not exist. I understand charges I am responsible for and have no problem excepting and paying those. I assume the charges and inspection come from the same maintenance people that overlooked the warped window and exterior damage and could not perform a proper hvac repair on a Friday. If glenchester could have handled the false charge and addressed maintenance during my time there I could have provided a better rating but everyone needs to be aware that they will not address repairs and create false charges. Please photo every inch of you place as you exit glenchester so they can't do this to you.

My significant other and I moved here over a year ago and loved it almost instantly. The view from our patio to the water is always a welcomed morning. However, one glaring problem with this area is theft and the office's refusal to acknowledge how seriously dangerous it has gotten. Apartments are consistently broken into, cars are either stolen or broken into, and people are being followed around the complex by groups of 5-6 males in the early morning. I have had personal belongings stolen as well and I no longer feel safe in this community. Crime happens in a city, it is common. An entire block having every singular unit experiencing some form of theft, including and going further than robbery and grand theft auto, is not common and shouldn't be accepted as such. This just simply cannot go unmentioned anymore.I am not afraid of stalkers or prowlers, but I cannot be home consistently due to my career to ensure the safety of my partner. Please take heed of this if you're looking into this awesome place, as it's becoming almost unbearable for us.

Ignore the negative comments, the management staff does not tolerate Riff Raff, so the haters are going to hate! I have lived here for over five years; you will not find a better place to live in this area! I have never seen a vacant apartment or townhouse; they are all pre-rented from a wait list. That fact alone should tell what a gem Glenchester Lakes is. A great location close to everything, quick access to I-70 and the 270 outerbelt. Walking distance to Kroger, Chase Bank, Walgreens, Great Clips and Domino's Pizza, and less than a mile to Ohio Health Doctors Hospital. Onsite police presence courtesy of the City of Columbus Police Department, has deterred the crime found elsewhere. I have never been accosted, had my car or apartment broken into, you will feel safe to walk the apartment complex and the surrounding neighborhood. 1.5 miles from the heart of Hilliard with the big box stores and big name restaurants on Hilliard Rome Rd. The Tuttle Mall area is just a few minutes from there. Parking may be an issue at times, because some people ignore the two-car limit. However, carports and garages are available at an affordable rate. Every building has handicap and van accessible parking, some with multiple handicap spaces. The office staff has always been friendly and very helpful; any apartment maintenance issues are resolved efficiently in a timely manner. The maintenance staff is always spot on, and have always been friendly, responsive and professional. They will always ask if it is ok to enter if you are not home, They'll leave a copy of their work order, with comments on the work completed. You will see them daily riding through the complex on they're atv cart, picking up trash and debris in the parking lots and from around the buildings. The management and maintenance staff do two yearly seasonal inspections. The furnace air filters, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are tested and the batteries are replaced. They check for water and gas leaks. There is a sparkling pool with a shaded deck area, onsite coin operated laundry, with a weight room. A five-acre lake with three fountains surrounded by a paved jogging and bicycle path. Beautiful landscaping that is maintained year round. During the winter months, the sidewalks are shoveled and the parking lots cleared of snow and ice, that are salted ASAP! As a senior citizen, they even pick up your garbage bags on a scheduled weekly basis. Ask about the Platinum Advantage! An overall great place to live for people of all ages, with a management staff who will treat you right. The rent prices are more than competitive when compared to the surrounding areas. Welcome to Glenchester Lakes Apartments, a great place to call home!

Lived here for almost 5 years in the most prime real estate throughout the community. Friendly staff, quick maintenance fixes, nice units. We love the pond and the track around it!

Have lived here for over 10 years and have always loved it until recently. Maintenance is a joke, requires 2-3 phone calls to get things repaired properly. New property manager doesn't respond to calls or emails unless you get corporate involved, then she will lie to cover her tracks, give sorry excuses and corporate allows it to continue. If you have to deal with management i suggest you use email and save everything for proof. Contractors that have to come in due to the ignored repairs from maintenance damaged my personal property. Limited parking with broken down cars in the parking lot. Theft has gotten out of control lately, from cars, porches and apartments.

Do not recommend these townhouses to anyone! They are completely over priced for the size! Almost every night we have been having people trying to get into our cars. If something goes wrong and you have to call the maintence people they always have a attitude problem and also charge a extreme amount for the work they do. Been here for 1 year and as soon as my lease is up I will be gone and not looking back!

These apartments are a nice change from the typical garden variety apartments. They are surrounded by neighboring houses and so it's like living in one giant neighborhood which is nice. The gym is ok. It could use newer equipment but for the price you pay in rent I can't complain really. The gas fireplace is really nice come winter.

Great Place with Great people. Nothing but top of the line, always well taken care of as well. Seeing a lot of these reviews saying that it isn't a good bang for your buck, it is a great one! Never had a break in, never had my car looked through or anything mentioned below. I even left my windows down one night on our vehicle and literally nothing was moved or touched. To those who are complaining about price, its a Suburb of Columbus, it is one of the top growing cities in the nation. Prices are completely competitive, if it was such a bad place to live I dont think it would have a 3 month wait list to get in now would it? If you want a great place to live with great people and the ones who treat you right. Glenchester is it. Appreciate Scott Guercio and the whole crew!

We’ve been living here for a year- we love our townhome & haven’t had problems with parking or anything like that. The maintenance guys are also very kind & personable. My complaint is about the rental office. They have no idea what they’re doing. When we came in the day BEFORE move in they tried to give us a 2 bedroom flat (we didn’t ask for) because something about not having the keys. We stood our ground & magically the keys appeared & we were able to move in. I have since referred THREE friends of ours to Glenchester Lakes & they have had HORRENDOUS experiences. One of them was treated horribly because it was going to be her first apartment- they tried to not even give her a tour. Another one came in with her boyfriend to whom they were VERY rude & unkind to. Lastly our friends put in all their money & were out on the wait list WAY later than they were told. They were also promised a 2 bedroom flat around the beginning of January. They were asked if they would take a townhome instead for MORE than what they were told they would pay. They turned it down & were told that now they won’t have a flat for them until February or March & of course can’t get their money refunded. I’m absolutely embarrassed that I have recommended these apartments to our friends & will NOT make that mistake again.

I have lived here 1.5 years. I have had excellent experiences with staff and maintenance. Every time I email or have a request it’s done ASAP. Ground are kept up with and they are always on top of everything. I have seen and been a victim of the crime in the area but that has zero to do with property management and everything to do with crack heads... duh. There is Columbus police patrol and I have seen them many times and spoke with them. When I move out of here it will be to buy a home, until then it’s an excellent place to live.

Live here currently Great, Quiet place to live. Never had any issues until recently. There seems to be a growing problem with vermin. Near the trash compost there’s been mice and rats scurrying about. Im actually being generous with three stars as this issue deserves lower. Now I’ve Made a few calls to the headquarters about this and they still have yet to take action. I can’t really give five stars until the vermin issue is taken care of.

Parking in our lot was a bit to be desired, felt like you were fighting the other tennants, especially when they ignore the 2 car limit. Other buildings had more spaces to accommodate guests. Office staff very helpful, maintenance always did what was asked, they asked if it was ok to enter and left notes that the job was done. Affordable, gas fireplace is a nice addition which saves on electric in the winter. Overall a good experience, would recommend.

Clean, safe, and relaxing because you feel like in the country kind of but you're close to everything. I've lived here a few years and really like it. The downside is the rising cost of rent, but I guess that to be expected. I've always had a good experience with maintenance. Our AC went out a couple times over summer and they fixed it quickly. Same for when our dishwasher stopped working. I've never been charged for any of the work they do. I love the rent to own washer and dryer option too!

My husband and I have lived here for 6 months. I love the peace and quite! It’s so quite for it to be a large complex. The walking trail is nice and they have a small gym as well as a pool and coin laundry facility. My neighbors have all been friendly and I especially like Mr. David, he looks out for the neighborhood. The office staff is always friendly whenever we communicate with them. We have had a change in management since being here. The maintenance staff is prompt, friendly and efficient. Now, the only issue we’ve had is that my husbands car has been broken into 4 times. He doesn’t keep anything of value in his car, but the thieves have done damage on the inside of his car looking for things. He was parking under the carport, but started back parking in front of our apartment to keep a better eye on his car. I also observed 5 young men at 5am in the morning while taking my dog out. They were running toward us and my dog barked and scared them away. I’m sure they are probably the ones breaking into the cars. They do have Columbus Police Department on the premises at night, but they can’t be in all places at once to catch the thieves. Other than that we’re happy living here. Hey, crime is everywhere.

This has been our home for 4+years. The staff is friendly, But all good things come to an end; the fact that for the past 2yrs crime has been active in this neighborhood doesn’t make love living here. Two years ago that’s when we first experience a community theft. A couple of neighbors vehicles were broken into, some property being stole out of mine and neighbors yards. Crime has been reported more frequently for the last past months. Seems like the community no longer has a security officer patrolling the area.

I have been living here for almost a year, and every night I come home to either no parking spots or parking spots that are completely on the other side of me, far away. Many of my fellow residents have people stay over where they end of accumulating many parking spots with their many vehicles, including work trucks. Also the rent is very high for the square footage and the area. My car was also ransacked late at night and my mirror was broken off when I first moved here. I will be moving once my lease ends.

I have lived here for a little over a year now and everyone and I do mean EVERYONE has been wonderful. All of the girls in the main office and the landlords I have dealt with here are so kind and so willing to help with anything and everything. This is my first apartment ever and they made this process so easy and stress free. Easily one of the best leasing companies out there! I also want to give a HUGE shout out to the guys who work in maintenance here. A big thank you to Kyle, Wilmer, and Mike! I’ve had a multiple maintenance issues over the past year and every time these guys come over quickly and efficiently and have such a good, positive, and uplifting demeanor and are such cool guys. You guys are the best and are so loved by this community and I appreciate everything you do for me! Thank you so much for installing my new fridge this morning! It’s fantastic!

When I first moved in 2 years ago, we were paying about 1100, that became 1250, and now I'm on the border of 1400. They have less gym equipment now, the trash is always overflowing, and they absolutely refuse to hire at a (bare minimum) an unarmed security officer. I've had my car broken into 3x since living here, my grill stolen, and last night 9 cars were damaged, and 3 were stolen. Do not move here my friends. Even though we fear for our safety at this point, they won't let us out of our lease. Again, do not move here...

Don't let the looks fool you, this place looks very nice and well kept but do your research before moving here, I lived here 3 years and was forced to move due to the crime that was terrorizing the community and myself. Management says they have Columbus police patrol but you will hardly see them at night. Peope are looking in your Vehicles every night, Vehicles are broken into weekly, ive seen multiple doors kicked in on apartments. This place is unsafe and Management only cared about theyre money and making sure it was as hard as it could be to move out. Casto doesn't allow month to month leasing which is also very frustrating.

Maintenance is a joke, expect to make several phone calls for simple repairs. Management will not address concerns, return phone calls or emails unless you involve corporate, then will lie and make excuses to cover their mistakes, I suggest you communicate only through email so you have proof of everything. Corporate does nothing to improve the situation and allows management to do nothing. Theft has gotten out of hand, cars broken into occasionally is one thing but its becoming a common occurrence, apartments broken into recently as well. Broken down cars in the parking lot taking up too many limited spaces, not to mention being an eyesore, again management does nothing. Probably a great place to work.as you can collect a paycheck for doing nothing all day but I wouldn't recommend moving in unless you want constant frustration

The area is rapidly getting worse. The maintenance team is great but the management won't hire security for some reason. I understand you can't make the area better but get some security in here so the residents don't have to fear for their safety and property.

Let me begin by saying that I really do like Glenchester Lakes a lot and I also really like my apartment. I have an upper 1 bedroom. It’s very open and has a calm, airy feel. Pretty quiet. I love the natural light and the view from my balcony. Utilities are not bad. I don’t like the flat paint used on the walls. It makes it hard to keep the walls looking clean. Shows everything. I hated the paint color too, until I changed my light bulbs to natural light. Made a world of difference. Much better. I don’t like that I have to drive my garbage to the compactor every other day, but am also glad I don’t have a giant dumpster sitting by my place. Dilemma. Can’t have everything. Love the beautiful 1/2 mile track around the lake. Hate that the army of ducks leave poop all over the track. I do feel pretty safe here - that’s super important to me. I love that there is a gym. It’s small but it’s all I need at this point. The people who live here seem to be regular working folks. Since the buildings in my cul-de-sac seem to now be fully occupied, parking is an adventure. Sometimes I can find a spot closer to my apartment, sometimes not. The office staff and the maintenance guys are very nice. They are polite and take care of my requests right away. I did spend a restless Sunday this summer when my AC went out, but it was fixed by Monday. I’m really trying to be fair in my assessment. This is a nice place for the money. I would totally recommend staying here.

We have been living here since April 2015 and we love this place! Unfortunately, the rent go up every year! I think we should get a loyal discount since we don't want to move, but we might need to only because we need more space and I'm not a big fan of the parking spot! First in first out and I hate to park way down from our apartment...

My sister lives here. She loves her apartment, but is mixed about the parking. The apartments aren't large, but are very well laid out and feel much bigger than they are (especially upstairs). The area is pretty quiet and safe. As far as parking goes, I think numbered spaces would do a world of good there.

For the 4 months I have lived here, I feel relatively safe and happy here; I have been hearing of car break ins but have not experienced that for myself- I know that they have upped security recently. The apartments are nice and the grounds are kept very nice. Neighbors are lovely and the office folks are great too. My only complaint is that I wish they would add more outside lighting especially around the walkway around the pond... and then more dog stations that aren't located around the pond.

  • 2/5 Delaney D. 3 months ago on Google • 4 reviews New
Please don’t move here! Between the car break ins, the trash overflowing, apartments getting broken into and so this place is a disaster. The managers always try to sweep things under the rug or act dumb when something happens. How are we paying $1400 a month and can’t even have security? Why are all the appliances ancients? They said if I wanted to upgrade to black appliances they would charge us $200 more in rent. It must be crack these people are smoking. Do not move to this place!

This property is one of the cleanest and friendliest properties I’ve been to as a vendor. They do so much for there residents here. All of the units are super clean and everywhere you look on the out side is clean. I never see a single piece of trash and they have a great walking path for you to go on a walk or take your dog on a walk. The manager Tanna always greats me with a smile and there maintenance staff is always top notch here. If you want an incredible property to live at with a wonderful staff please check out Glenchester Lakes and I highly recommend talking to Tanna as she is such a sweet down to earth manager. This is a 5 star property hands down.

I poked around looking for apartments in Dublin for a few months and never found anything I was happy with. Someone referred me to Wexford Lakes, and when Wexford had no availability, they recommended I check out a sister property, Glenchester. I am SO excited I found this property. Unlike most people I did not have to be wait listed as there was a vacancy for my time frame. My two bedroom is right on the water in front of the fountain. The only maintenance issue I had on move in was a broken outlet, which the staff have been great about handling. The property is the same driving distance to downtown as Dublin, without the heavy traffic, and has a great shopping area just down the street. You'll notice when you visit Glenchester there is a thriving duck population; surprisingly, I have not seen any duck poop on the walkways, they appear to be extremely vigilant about that. If you are a former OSU student who had to deal with campus area housing, this place will feel like a palace to you. There are no crazy parties, the apartment was spotless upon move in, the pricing is cheaper than what you would find at OSU, the staff is more responsive, and you won't be signing a lease 9 months in advance. Even my parents (who are never impressed by any place I choose to live) were thoroughly stunned when they came to help move furniture. Obviously it's only been a week I have lived here, but every day I fall a little more in love, and will update in a few months :)

Been here for about 5 months. Its been great. The lake and path are very nice and i go almost walks daily, weather permitting. I use my balcony than i thought i would. They have a small gym with a few machines and a coin laundry room. There is a small pool as well. Maintenance is very prompt for issues and the office staff is very accommodating and helpful. The only cons. Trash is a minor inconvenience depending on where you live here. The dumpsters are scarce. Parking is not ideal in some areas. Don't count on being able to park right by your door.

  • 1/5 Savannah U. 8 months ago on Google
This place is getting worse and worse. Cars broken into every other day and now random crack heads just walking up and stealing property off back porch. Management says a cop patrols here sometimes but refuses to get a full time security officer. Move somewhere else, trust me.

We have lived here for months now and we haven’t had a complaint. We love it! Quiet, nice, clean. I couldn’t be happier with it, it feels like a suburb but everything I could ever need is a very short drive. We haven’t had an issue with parking at all and we got a covered spot as well right outside our apartment. All of the dog owners all seem to be responsible too, which was a big big plus for us and our pup. I wish there weren’t so many geese (and geese poop), but hey there’s a lake so I can’t expect anything else really!! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Moved in about a year now. So far our apartment has had minor issues that maintenance had taken care of quickly with great care and service. Office staff are very polite and friendly. During summer or winter there is always an amazing view of the lake and surroundings even for it being in the city. Would definitely atleast consider checking out!

The place itself, it’s nice. I love the pond view. The only problems I have, is that after a year of living here I never get any responses back through email. I have a hard work schedule so calling is hard for me to do. I have a patio door that is getting old and starting to fall slowly. I have gone to them more than twice, and nothing happens. My car got stolen in the parking lot, no one helped or even cared. When I moved in, half of the list that I wanted fixed was never touched. I’m still waiting. The people are great, and it’s quiet, but don’t go to them unless you feel like fighting to get stuff done.

The best part about living here is fast maintenance response time. Kyle in particular, is always very timely, kind and efficient. He has come to fix/replace both my kitchen and bathroom faucets, replaced my front door handle and checked one of my outlets. He is personable and will answer any questions or concerns regarding maintenance. Anytime i’ve put in a request i’ve had my issue resolved same/ next day.

I I moved back here after having lived here 9 years . I’m very unhappy with my experience so far . First my neighbors continue to feed the geese causing us to have mice . They have been told to stop but they continue to do it as if the rules don’t apply to them . Also the same neighbors are blocking my view of the lake that I pay for and I can’t believe they haven’t made them take it down . Could you imagine what this place would look like if everyone was putting up blinds and whatever they want . Rules are rules and are for everyone not just some .
