Perfect for one day getaway, beautiful picnic spot. We had great day picnicking near lake on bright sunny day.We hiked the trails and explored the park. Overall pleasant experience.

Great to get out and enjoy the outdoors and water. There are places to fish from shore, but if you have smaller kids some of them are harder to get to. It is a perfect location for boats. They do have a kids only pond that has catfish.

Huge place for all your outdoor adventures. Hunting, fishing, boating, nature watching, etc. You name it, they will have it. Plenty of public restrooms throughout the park. A beach is available for swimming in the summer time. Picnic areas scattered all around. Plenty of boat ramps and a marina. Fishing pond for kids. Highly recommend!

I love Caesar Creek. I go hiking there a lot and my in laws go camping there! We went up to visit them over the weekend and had a blast. We have plans on pitching our tents ⛺️ and camping out in a few weeks! The bathroom shower houses are clean and the campgrounds are really nice! The beach area is as well! Definitely will be back!

Cesar's creek is excellent fishing and fossil hunting. I love this place so much. the locals are always friendly too. The crappie fisherman were abundant. we fished from the bank and didn't catch anything. seen about 6 boats on one location.

Been coming here since I was a child to look for fossils. So happy that I can bring my son here to and teach him everything that I have learned about this once aquatic habitat. Lots of parking and we even did a short trail (geology loop), it was very peaceful and a lot of fun. Didn’t have to pay to get in, which is a plus. Will always highly recommend Ceasar’s Creek State Park!!

I spent some time at the dam and spillway areas today. Also hiked a couple of trails starting from the spillway parking lot. The fall foliage was beautiful and the trails were easy to moderate. Caesars Creek State Park has always been one of my favorite State Parks!

Peaceful, beautiful, and so well-maintained. Water, wildlife and trails to suit all your outdoor needs. This place deserves a visit. Sit by the water and enjoy the tranquility. Thank me later...

I haven’t been hiking here since I was a kid, but yesterday I visited with my bf and we fell in love with the park! Kind of a quiet rainy day, and soooo cozy. Lots of flowers along the paths, and great views of the lake. We found a small historic graveyard that had a marker highlighting the history. Definitely going to be camping, kayaking, and hiking here so more this summer.

Beautiful park! Caesar creek is an amazing get away for anyone in Columbus or Cincinnati. The park is very well maintained and clean. Amazing facilities. The water is immaculate and not polluted. Great for activities on the water jet skis or boating. We never wait long for dock access. Keep an eye out for Bald eagle’s there a few of them nesting around the lake!

Another beautiful State Park. There are lots a trails and plenty of good fishing spots. The only drawback was the spoty cell service. It can make navigation a bit more difficult.

We visited Caesar Creek State Park on October 15 and the fall colors were spectacular! The best view of the colors were on the Peninsula trail (green markers), which can be accessed through the Wellman Trailhead. While on the Peninsula trail, be sure to follow the white/black trails, which take you closer to the water and the unobstructed views. The trails are dog friendly (we saw at least 40 dogs on the 3 miles that we hiked). The people we met on the trail were friendly too.

This is a really nice camping side. We had a regular place were we are able to build up 4 tents ⛺️ Nice fire place and a picknick table. The lake is really nice for swimming. Restrooms and toilets are ok… not like a European camping side 😊 The staff is really friendly. Thanks for hosting us. We’ll come back!

Awesome kayaking in north end up both creeks - as far as the horse trail crossing or past 2nd bridge on north east fork.

I hiked Horseshoe Falls here and it was a pleasant experience. The park seemed very well cared for and clean. Trails were very well marked along the way and at crossings. Dogs were welcomed and they had a great time exploring with me. The water was clear and beautiful and I would be happy to spend more time in the park!

Nice place to camp! Big sites and clean area's. The amphitheater area and snack shack was extremely cool! My only complaint is the showers. The showers were full of spiders families (and I hate spiders) and the separation borders are like bathrooms, so your neighbor in the shower could peak through the gap. Overall nice place and would definitely be back!

This is one of my go-to parks! The trails are very well maintained and the signage is excellent. There's lots of beautiful things to see and explore. I love doing the 13 mile perimeter trail but you don't have to do anything that intense. There is a huge variety of trails that range in mileage.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed feeding the fish with the fish food you can buy at the marina. They also had ice cream and I got the toasted coconut and it was delicious and I would go back just for the ice cream. Fun day!

Great park, typically low key and not super busy. The hiking at the spillway is nice and quiet, with some really pretty views, especially as the leaves start changing!

Good place to camp and enjoy fishing kayaking and camping. Not alot of shade at the camp sites. If you enjoy boating, you should visit this lake. Clean grounds and facilities. Easy check in as well. The visitor center is on the opposite side of Caesar's Creek along with the more trails to hike and the dam. Good place to bring small children. Plenty of room at most camp sites.

We love this place. Kayaking the lake is awesome. Fishing can be good and enjoyable. Playgrounds all around for the kiddos. Hiking, fossil hunting, picnicking, camping. It's got it all. Haven't camped yet but intend to this coming year. Mostly enjoy the yakking and picnic with the littles at the different playgrounds. Close to good food and DG. Love the programs too. Only bad thing I have to say is the geese make the beach an awful, vile place.

My family and I love to visit the park and hike the trails. Close enough to town to be easily accessible, but far enough out in the country to be able to hear nature and relax.

Beautiful park for camping, hiking, boating, and swimming! The ohio rail to bike path also conveniently connects this park to Xenia and Dayton with minimal road riding. Only downside is the limited swimming area as the beach is often crowded.

One of my favorite parks to go to. The trails and area are very well maintained and the views are amazing.

  • 5/5 Dawn W. 3 years ago on Google
A little hot today but great day to be out. The trails are mostly easy with a topping of moderate here and there. Good elevation changes that will challenge. Park website says moderate-difficult trails but if you go on AllTrails app I agree with what those people say. Lots of people, very nice park. The #buckeyetrail we hiked part of at East Fork continues through this park as well. Lovely day all around.

I always enjoy the trails at Ceasers Creek and yesterday was my first experience completing the perimeter trail in its entirety (12.7 miles). I really enjoyed the challenging trails, the wildlife, and even the polite passing patrons! The trails and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. I was not a big fan of using US State Route 73 as part of the trail because the cars are traveling 55 mph across the bridge- it made me super nervous. All in all, a very good trip and well worth the time I invested!

Beautiful park! I hiked the 12 mile perimeter trail around the lake in November. The trail has lots of beautiful lake views and some interesting sites like a frontier village, a swinging bridge, a waterfall and an old cemetery. The only downside to the perimeter trail is the small section where you walk along the highway. I recommend parking at the marina so you get the highway section done first. One section near the dam was a little swampy but the trail is nicely maintained and has good signage.
