Astonishingly low quality service and unprofessional staff. I am not sure whether the actual owner is still managing the store any more, but the staff member named Joe is terribly disorganized, arrogant, and rude. It has been my most regretful decision this year to walk into this store because of the awful shopping experience. I went to look for an engagement ring for my fiancé in the store because they had a nice collection of men’s rings on their website. Upon my arrival, the store goldsmith helped me out by telling me that men do not wear jewelry, which caused much confusion since there was obviously a section called men’s jewelry on the website, which lead me to expect that they would have expertise in that area. Later the staff member named Joe, who seems to be the store manager for now, told me that they could order rings from a brochure, and they could put whichever kind of gemstones on it; so I let them go ahead and did that, which turned out to be a big mistake. They seemed to forget that I placed the order (but did not forget to deposit my check) until I called and to check the progress on the ring. When I finally got the ring, it was covered by fingerprints, and I thought, fine, I could clean it myself. After cleaning it with my jewelry cloth, which is very soft, I noticed that there was a big scratch on the ring, the gem stones were not aligned vertically. After my fiancé tried the ring, he also mentioned the inside was very rough. These problems aside, the ring looked very cheap overall and totally not worth what I paid. We brought the ring back to ask for a repair for all the problems, but Joe appeared to be offended. When I pointed out the scratch on the ring was not natural, he told me that 14K gold is very soft and super easy to be scratched and I should not question him because he had a 25-year experience working as a jeweler. Maybe the ring is easily scratched, like Mr. Joe insisted, but the ring was in the ring box provided by the store the entire time, and the scratch was obviously caused by the mishandling of the store, but they refused to admit it, insinuating that I was at fault. This is unacceptable and insulting. Even after we addressed the problems of the ring to Mr. Joe one by one, he said that he could not fix some of the problems, even though they sold this ring. I felt that the low quality of the ring disappointed my expectations and wanted to request a return. However, it was only at this time—after the purchase—that I was informed of the store’s return policy; this ring was a special order and could not be returned. In the end, we took the ring to a different jeweler and fixed the problems. They did an amazing job and the ring looks so much better now. I definitely will never come back to this store and I do not recommend anyone shop here. It was a stressful and terrible shopping experience.

Long before I was involved, my now husband :) was working with Sophia and Jim to create the most beautiful engagement ring you can possibly imagine (how lucky am I?)! Fast forward 18 months and a national pandemic, and I have had the great fortune of also getting to work with Sophia and Jim to create a beautiful ring for my husband and a band to match my engagement ring -- without any delays as they worked with the designer to make sure everything was created and shipped in time. Having bought a lot of jewelry in my past, there is no experience that compares to the one here. Sophia and Jim not only provide you with the highest quality jewelry at the best possible price, but you will have also gained friends for a lifetime! These photos were taken during our ceremony and honeymoon and while beautiful, our rings are even more beautiful in person!! Thank you, Sophia and Jim! You will forever be a part of our journey. -- Traci and Heath

The Owner, Joseph Valentin Davis, crafted Linda's engagement ring and wedding ring from a size 7 to a size 12.5! Why, you ask? Linda's arthritis on her ring finger had swollen her knuckle to the point a firefighter from Engine 19 had to cut it at our request. ( I told the firefighter that i was Linda's new boyfriend lol) We received the rings tonight 12.23.2022. They are immaculate! You could never tell they were altered. Thank you Diamonds Pearls & Jade -Keith Carey Psalm 103 PS I meant to add this store is right on the BUS LINE FROM OSU CAMPUS 4422 N. High Street (43214 is a nice one place to locate, by the way!)

I can't say enough about how amazing our experience was in creating my custom engagement ring. Not only is the ring itself absolutely stunning with expert craftsmanship, but the quality of care, communication and service provided by everyone there is just as exceptional as the ring itself. If you are looking for a unique, one of a kind piece you will find that and more at Diamonds Pearls & Jade. In addition to my engagement ring, my husband trusted Joe to create something durable and timeless and he nailed it. We both get so many compliments on our jewelry! I can't say enough wonderful things about the store, owner, staff and jewelry they have, no matter what you are in the market for, you will definitely want to visit. Joe goes above and beyond to make your experience very special!

I was heartbroken when I realized that my diamond ring, given to me by my late husband, had a chip in the diamond. After contacting gemologists, I realized the diamond needed to be replaced. My new husband had befriended Sophia and James through The TriVillage Rotary and spoke so highly of them that I decided to contact them about my diamond search. I was encouraged by my insurance company to use their out of state Gemologist who they said would give me a great price since they have the Nationwide account. I contacted 3 gemologist to choose a ring. From the minute I met James and Sophia I knew they had my best interest at heart. They allowed me to ask many many questions in my search and never acted like I was a bother. I visited their jewelry store at least 6 times and was always greeted with a drink and desserts so I would feel right at home. In the long run they found the perfect diamond that met my needs and they were able to offer it at a price, less then the out of state jeweler and it was a more perfect diamond. I would highly recommend James and Sophia and would suggest that you interview them before making a major purchase. They love to see the smile on their customers faces and it is evident that they love what they do.

I ordered a gem to be made into a necklace in February and the didn’t give me a time frame stating it takes a while and they would call when it’s ready …never got a call I called last month ..still not ready..I just don’t get it . As a creator . A piece that small doesn’t take that long at all…I feel they definitely just took my money and said forget about it !

We had a great experience at Diamond Pearls & Jade. We went in not knowing exactly what we wanted and ended up with an engagement ring that we are both extremely happy with. Joe was very knowledgeable and helpful. What separates them from other jewelry stores is how personal it feels. It doesn’t feel like a corporation trying to make a sale. But at the same time, the quality is just as good. Thank you!

Joe is the most incredible person on this planet! My husband was diagnosed with Leukemia in April and was given a not so good diagnosis. We scrambled to throw together a wedding while he was in the hospital and then continued outpatient treatments. I stopped in to see Joe about getting a wedding ring in a hurry and that man not only delivered, he gave me several options that would compliment my engagement ring PERFECTLY, in a moments notice! This man is AMAZING. While, that time in our lives was and still is hard to look back on, I am reminded daily of something beautiful that came out of it and couldn't be happier with how perfect my band turned out. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts forever and always Joe! You and Sasha are incredible people, so much more than a talented jeweler who crafts exquisite jewelry!

Joe is absolutely wonderful, he made me feel so comfortable and as a man, he knew exactly what I wanted the engagement ring to say. He’s extremely compassionate and caring and has continued to make my wife sparkle over the years, gorgeously. Joe’s next level when it comes to jewelry and the engagement ring experience! He’s more than just a jeweler, he’ll become your friend ☺️

These guys are a bunch of rip off artists. Ashcroft & Theif should be their name. I went in to get a piece of jewelry fixed and the guy at the counter told me it would be $150.00 to fix it because I needed a new clasp, which was a bold face lie. I went across the street to Jared's and they did it for $36.00. NO NEW CLASP. Needless to say, Ashcroft & Oak are theives. Dirty no good theives, and the customer service is deplorable. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to that place.

Sophia and Jim were wonderful to work with! They made engagement ring shopping a fun, unique, and really enjoyable experience. They work so hard to make sure you’re getting exactly what you want- they are definitely experienced at what they do. My fiancé and I left with gorgeous rings and assurance we got the best deal and quality available. I would absolutely recommend their services.

Hands down, one of the most enjoyable and thoughtful customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. After being told by another jeweler that the ring design I wanted couldn't be done, Jim and Sophia took one look and were quickly at work. Within minutes (literally), Sophia showed me a design of a ring, which was better than the original design. My custom ring was priced fairly and there was no pressure to commit until I was 100% positive that's what I wanted. The ring turned out beautiful. After the middle diamond came loose in the setting (at no fault to the jeweler/goldsmith), Jim and Sophia were more than willing to help me get it taken care of before I asked the big question. Jim and Sophia work with care and love of their jobs. It is truly refreshing to come into contact with such quality humans. I recommend this jeweler above all others.

I ordered a replacement for my wedding ring, paid for it and was told to expect it in two weeks. 15 days later I called to see what the status was and after they finally were able to find the order and call me back I was told it would be another two weeks. 14 days later I call again and was told it would be at least another week. Poor service, lying and lack of follow through. Take my advice and shop elsewhere.

THIS LOCATION HAS THREE COMPLAINTS WITH THE STATE OF OHIO ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. I had the displeasure of buying a very poorly made bracelet. Within two weeks it literally just broke and fell off of my wrist while sitting at my desk. It was then I discovered the warranty I bought with it had been sold under very false pretenses that it gave me nothing more than the ability to wait over a month for a repair. I have literally never in my life found a more dishonest staff from the salesperson to the manager and not an ounce of professionalism to speak of. I couldn't understand why the staff insisted on being so rude and argumentative throughout the process until I received the bracelet back 1/2 shorter than I bought it. Despite having a picture of me wearing it before and clearly A difference of length it was more arguing and they wouldn't even look at it and by then they had wore me out and I decided if they need the money that bad they could keep it. The warranty which I was told would guarantee me a timely on site fix, credit, or refund was all a lie as they sent it off to get fixed and absolutely refused the other. My fiancé and I went elsewhere to purchase our wedding rings and found a caring staff looking to build a relationship not make their monthly numbers. Oh yeah, they didn't look us square in the eyes and lie to us. The first two months I owned this they had it twice as long as I did.....

Jim and Sophia were wonderful! My fiancé bought my engagement ring from them and then we got our wedding bands here as well. The customer service is fantastic and they genuinely want to get to know their customers. From the moment I walked in the door I felt like family. Their selection was great and had everything we needed. I will defiantly be recommending Diamonds Pears and Jade to my engaged friends! Thank you Jim and Sophia!

When I was ready to propose to my (then) girlfriend, I started asking around for recommendations of jewelers. Some big names, and heavily advertised, stores came up frequently. But I had very little interest in negotiating and haggling. I was on a limited budget, and I was buying for a designer with great taste! A friend shared with me her experience with Diamonds Pearls & Jade, and THAT was what I wanted!!! So I called. What a treat! Jim and Sophia were so gracious and helpful when working with me. I never felt pressured, and I just fed off of their excitement and expertise. I was truly welcomed into their lives. We found, together, the perfect engagement ring. My fiance and I became part of the family while selecting our wedding bands. We cherish our visits together, and we even insisted that Jim and Sophia be at our wedding! We've purchased several other pieces, in a range of their stock, and have never been disappointed. Jim and Sophia are very easy to work with, very VERY good at what they do, and always very gracious and professional. My wife and I recommend them to all of our friends and family.

Jim and Sophia are a wonderful people to work with. My wife and I purchased her engagement ring as well as her wedding band and we were completely blown away with the quality and customer service that we received. Not only is the service great, they are even better people. Anyone searching for that perfect piece to represent their love or special occasion make sure to contact Diamonds, Pearls, and Jade. They are unbelievable.

Joe is amazing. He’s made me a custom engagement ring, custom wedding band, and various other custom made jewelry. Everyone that sees his jewelry is amazed at the work. You get to make family heirloom jewelry everyday with him. I’ve recommended him to my friends and family. My friend got an amazing ring for his wife. He also helped when my aunt passed away to figure out what jewelry was real and what it was worth. He not only makes amazing jewelry, he gives great advice. I’ve gone to him for years now, so I can tell you he is always creative, caring, and consistent. Thanks Joe!

This place was referred to me by a friend of mine that had a necklace repaired here. Went in to have a broken clasp on my watch repaired. The gentleman that assisted me gave me the kindest smile and had the look of a proper craftsman. Highly recommend !

Jim and Sophia provide a truly unique experience! I chose my gemstone and setting for a one-of-a-kind engagement ring and I love it! They are very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind, and take pride in their business. If you want something classy and original - DP&J is the place to go!! (My son uses my Google account as Toxic Potato....ha....despite the silly name take my advice about the best jewelers around!)

Showed up as a walk in with my better half. I was dressed very casually and was given top notch service and expertise. The staff spent almost two hours showing us every single possible idea they thought suited what we were looking for. I’m a salesperson by trade and unlike the other stores in the mall I wasn’t bullied into products or jammed with financial qualification questions. I was particularly impressed by the fact that the store seemed much more interested in finding what we wanted and earning our business at that point instead of trying to make a quick sale on a second place choice. We will most definitely be returning and are very excited to see the products that they are ordering in for us to suit our particular desires. Thank you again Debbie and Jess, you’re both top notch professionals.

I love Ashcroft and Oak/ Roger and Hollands. I hate gaudy and flashy rings so finding a good engagement ring was almost impossible. I went to just about every jewelry store in Easton and Tuttle before realizing there was an Ashcroft and Oak nearby. In one trip I found my ring. It was so nice to go somewhere and not feel pressured to buy a diamond or something over my budget.

Kara was AMAZING! I was looking for a specific piece and no one had it in the entire mall. Kara listened to what I needed and was creative enough to have it made in 48 hours and UNDER BUDGET! I strongly recommend this store to everyone! THANKS Kara!!!

While this store has unique and beautiful designs, their jeweler is a nightmare to work with. They offered to create a custom band to match my engagement ring which is apparently something they are unable to do. I've ordered 2 different bands from them and they finally found a way to do it but they have delayed the process 3 different times now and they've had my engagement ring for close to 3 weeks at this point. I absolutely regret trying to do anything custom with them but at this point I'm stuck. You'll be fine buying straight from their stock, but don't believe their jeweler can make you anything.

  • 5/5 Jenny Z. 11 years ago on Google
My experience here has been absolutely perfect. I would recommend this jeweler to anyone! My engagement ring is not from here, but we found the perfect band to match my engagement ring at Ashcroft. I couldn't find a single band ANYWHERE that would fit with my ring, so it was pretty much a miracle when I found the one at Ashcroft. Cara, the manager has been nothing but friendly. Des is also great!! They have someone who sizes rings in the store every Monday so that is very convenient. My fiance and I like to pop in and visit whenever we're at Polaris because they are that friendly in there :) I plan on going back soon and actually getting my engagement ring sized again. I underestimated the impact of the cold on my the size of my fingers :(

I went to Diamonds Pearls and Jade looking for an engagement ring based on their ratings and they were the perfect experience. Sophia and Jim are so kind and helpful. They only want you to have the perfect experience and don’t make you feel pushed to buy anything at all. I surprised my fiancé with a ring even more amazing than the one she thought she was going to get with the help of Jim and Sophia. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience and would recommend them to everyone.

I came in here with the minor job of getting a watch bracelet fixed and sized. Not only did they do it for free, but they were incredibly friendly and treated me as if I were there to spend thousands on an engagement ring. I saw them giving the same care and attention to other customers. I will be back for sure, hopefully to buy something beautiful. Highly, highly recommended.

Brought my ring in on labor day to get a diamond replaced that had fallen out earlier this year during the stay at home order. We replaced the diamond and got my ring re-rhodium plated to help make it shiny again. Everything was completely covered by our lifetime warranty. The ring was ready the 19th, just as quoted and we picked it up today, it looks good as new, and I'm so happy to have my engagement ring back and in perfect condition!

My boyfriend and I went in to the Ashcroft & Oak store in Polaris back in late September to begin shopping for my engagement ring. My budget for the ring was $20,000, but we didn't tell the gentleman working behind the counter this, we simply said we were looking, and asked to see a few rings, starting with some cheaper, smaller options. Every ring he pulled out, he checked the price of before handing it to me, but at one point I decided to look at a more expensive ring (around $6,000), and he checks the price and says "I need to make sure this isn't a financial liability for you to try on." Um... Say what? He allows me to try it on, and I really like it. We begin inquiring about the price, and ask about finance options (BF and I share finances, so if he just paid cash or put it on a credit card, I'd know, and he wanted to keep the "when" of buying it a surprise). The salesman then insinuates we wouldn't get approved! My BF makes six figures a year, and has amazing credit (and again, could've paid for the ring in full right then and there), but apparently we looked to poor to possibly get approved? We left with a really bad taste in our mouths, but I did like the ring, so a few days later we went back. This time there was a saleslady, and before I went back to the ring I liked, I asked to see moissanite rings, because even though we had a hefty budget, I didn't want a mined diamond, and wanted to see other options. She proceeds to tell me moissanite is "too soft" and would never last as an engagement ring; moissanite is a 9.5 on the MOHS scale!! I was absolutely disgusted. A straight up lie, and terrible customer service? What if I had been on a strict budget, and went in looking to spend less than $1k, and needed to finance? How would I have been treated then?! If you need a ring, budget or no, skip Ashcroft & Oak. This place sucks all around. I went to Edward Warren Jewelers in Pickering ton, and couldn't be happier. The jeweler was exceptionally attentive, gave me tons of options and even special ordered a ring I was interested in, just so I could see it. Never once discussed budget with him either, but he treated us like we were his most important customers, and I found the ring of my dreams.

I just got my ring back yesterday. And another diamond fell out! I have had the ring less than a year, I have taken it in 3 or 4 times.. once to get the bands fixed (one completely broke at the bottom of the ring) and the others was to replace a diamond. They don’t have anything to tell me other than “well will send it to the jeweler”. Last time they sent it to headquarters to get fixed properly but clearly that didn’t work because my diamond fell out a day later.

They truly care about their customers and making sure that you leave their store happier than when you came.

Not happy at all with my experience. I spent over $100 on an aquamarine ring that was advertised as pure sterling silver. I wore it for 3 hours and it turned my finger green. If I wanted a ring that turned my finger green, I'd spend 5 bucks at walmart. I called and asked about returning it, and they said I would have to pay a $25 restocking fee because it was resized. So I now have to receive less money back because I wore a ring for three hours that was not the metal advertised and turned my finger green, all because I don't have a finger that is the size in the case. So frustrated i could cry.

I recently bought a ring for my fiancé Online and it was too big so we popped in to get his finger sized and lady that helped us asked me how much I paid for the ring right in-front of my fiancé and when I tried to quietly tell her she said very loudly, “oh that’s it?!”. Left me with a terrible experience And very upset.

Haven't experienced this bad of service for quite a while... I bought a Hamilton watch with two styles of band (leather and metal) with the in-store warranty. After a month of being told that the metal band was still on its way, they finally discovered that they never even ordered it, took another two weeks and I finally had that band. Fast forward 9 months later, I had to go back in because my leather band was starting to come apart and I wanted to get it replaced under warranty. The whole time I was trying to get service on my watch I was getting continually pressured into making another purchase despite how many times I said no. Anyway, I finally got them to fill out the paper work and dropped the watch off. After two weeks of not hearing anything, I check in and was simply told to wait. Another week passes and I receive a message on my phone stating that my bill will be 140+ dollars to fix the band. I call them back and explain that this is under warranty and find that they incorrectly submitted it so it will take longer. I ask them to get me an estimated completion date and they tell me they'll call me with the estimate. I never receive a call so I check back in with the store and they promise they'll look into it and call with that estimate. Another week goes by and I still have no idea when I'll be getting my watch back so I check back in again. Apparently "nothing is wrong with the watch and it's being returned as is"... um, didn't you just mistakenly quote me $140 to fix the thing? I still haven't seen my watch yet and hope I didn't have to go through all this simply to receive the watch back unrepaired. Update: Just got a call and was told that my options are: wait through another process to have the warranty program evaluate the watch or not have the watch repaired. They accused me of trying to commit fraud, who are these people!? I'm requesting that they refund the money from the warranty program and use that to replace the band. I never want to deal with these people again. Seriously, go elsewhere... These people simply don't care about you once they've made the sale.

I don't even want to give them this star but since you have to pick one to be able to comment is why I did, where do I start, I have never been so disappointed in a place in my life. We went in at the end of July since we were getting married in October so we thought plenty of time right well no when it was time to leave to get married my ring was still not in so they gave me a borrowed one but to get to that point was a night mare and that was after a phone call once a week until that point. So after all that it was not even a year later and my husband ring breaks so we take it back to get replaced since we have life time warranty and we got a new one and a few months later it breaks again, we take it to a closer location and another night mare again. They could not find me in there system finally she says did you buy here i said no we bought it in Columbus she said oh that why we can't see other store account, what are you kidding me it the same company and an hour later they finally take the ring to send off to get a new one well two weeks later they call to say it in so we get there and it not even his ring totally different ring so another week later we get the call that it in, we had the new ring for not even a year again and it breaks and not only breaks it turn color, i am so frustrated. I took it back to Columbus and asked for money back they said they can't and after I paid hundreds almost thousand for this ring my husband has not even had it on his finger for a total year yet. Now they want me to pick something else to replace so what I can keep coming back to store ever month I don't think so, I am so calling the headquarters and if I don't get anywhere there i am calling the news channel to let everyone know not to go there unless they want ripped off. Plus the better business bureau will be hearing from me also. I have so much more that they did also but I am sure they won't even post all this so I will stop for now. Just want everyone know do not do business with them.

I got my engagement ring here. I love it and they were extremely helpful. Never felt like I was being ripped off here or anything.

Staff was extremely helpful! We spent $300.00 on a saint charm, very disappointed in the quality!

I wish I had read these reviews in 2014 before I purchased a ring from them. I had my original solitaire diamond reset into one of their engagement rings. For 2 years I loved the ring. Then 2 small diamond chip accents fell out. Their jeweler informed me that the prongs for those were a silver/white gold mix and therefore too soft and more stones would continue to fall out & be lost. When I made my purchase I was lead to believe that the ring was white gold. No mention of any silver. Now they want $800-1000 to fix it right. I'm sending a complaint letter to headquarters. I consider this fraud. Oh, and get this. They won't except the ring on a trade to get a solid white gold setting as they only except trades of solid gold!

I have been working with the manager, Cara, for several months on a custom wedding band that I am obsessed with and can't find anything even close to it anywhere! Cara has been really helpful and not at all pushy while I looked around and dragged my feet. She also worked with us to get the best deal and made sure I would be taken care of when I placed the order because she was on vacation. I don't have the ring yet, but I can't wait to see it! Cara has also made sure to follow up with me so I don't feel like I have been forgotten or anything has slipped through the cracks. One thing is for sure, if you need help picking something out, designing, or anything jewelry related, talk to Cara!

They don't even deserve one star. This is a horribly run company. No "customer first" mentality. It is all about making money and they don't care at all about the quality of their service. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and would advise everyone to stay clear of them. There are a lot of good jewelers out there, but this is not one of them. I have never written a bad review on Google before, but felt this one was warranted. My daughter and son in law had a horrible experience with a ring they purchased there. I have been married 31 years and our jeweler fixed both my ring and my husbands ring for years with no charges and always took good care of us. It's too bad Ashcroft and Jewelers aren't like them.

I purchased my engagement ring for my wife in 2008. Ever since then we had been going back to Ashcroft and Oak to have our ring cleaned tightened and redipped. Our warranty was valid as long as we went every six months to have the ring cleaned. Unfortunately in November we missed our cleaning and in January my wife's diamond was lost. Although we went to Ashcroft exclusively because we missed once the money we spent went down the tubes. I am concerned that if their product is so inferior that we can't get more than 6 months before a tragedy strikes is quite scary. The other problem is how apparently in 2009 they changed the warranty but never told us there was an improved warranty available to purchase. So now someone bought a ring a year later than me who doesn't take care of it will have their diamond replaced without issue. However, myself who took great care of it and was very loyal to this jeweler has been left out in the cold. Dissatisfied, Disgusted, and DISTASTEFUL. We will not return to this jeweler in the future.

I have been looking for a specific ring for awhile now. And i was nervous to buy one online. I just ran acrossed a ring as i was walking by and it was percect. Rose gold pear shaped 2ct morganite stone. Great price. Set up payments. I was surprising approved for the loan, and the ladies were so nice and easy to work with. Will definataly go back for any jewlery needs.

Ashcroft & Oak is totally a rip off. My husband bought me a white gold engraved bracelet which was kicked up and did not look new. He overpaid for such a simple item, it was $700 for something so simple. Then they quoted him $24 to shorten the bracelet, 5 mins later they quoted $42. Very very shady business. Do not go there.

👍👍 I went in to get my very first tattoo earlier today. I had Rob and he did an absolutely amazing job. Not only was everyone inside the building extremely friendly but also helpful as well. Rob was very professional and there wasn’t a second where I doubted anything during the process. Would recommend...
