The shop is nice and there's plenty of parking. There only 1 thing I have a problem with is the guy which whom I spoke with was very quick to pass judgement on the way someone looks. Being said I had a quite a few things I needed looked at so I could sale my items for a reasonable price but the guy already made his mind up the second I walked in. He not only gave me a low ball price but on the big ticket items said they were fake. They just was in pristine condition and thought I was passing fakes. Come to find out they was very high in price and the guy missed out and lost a good customer due to his ignorance. Thanks cause I was happy with the second place and 4 that I thank u

What a joke! Have been here once before to sell my mother's(deceased) old wedding band. Decided to try them again with my wife's replacement wedding band since we no longer needed it. She only used it during the time between our children. Her original caused her to breakout(nickel allergy during pregnancy). She took it in to have them look at it. The staff were rude while she was trying to enter the building and then while there, they were more interested in talking about guns. They offered her $30 for a $700 ring! Biggest waste of time and waste of useful commercial space around. I believe many of the reviews are submitted by relatives of the staff or the staff themselves.

The owner is a dishonest conman. I was charged sales tax for silver coins which I purchased there. I later found out there is no sales tax for silver in Ohio. Lol what a thief. I firmly believe you sir will eventually get what you deserve.

I have had nothing but a good experience when I sold my jewelry here. They gave me more than what I was expecting for jewelry that sat in my jewelry box for years and never wore. You can't be in business for very long if you rip people off, and this business has actually grown since it started. If I have more jewelry to sell, I will go back here because I know I will get an honest price.

FFL Transfer. I purchased a pistol online and chose Gemco as they have the lowest FFL transfer price in the area. The owner was leery of my Lionheart LH9, but I don't think he knows/cares what it is. I ran 600 rounds through it without a single issue on all sorts of ammo including hollow points. I'll use Gemco again if they remain price competitive.

Twice now I've been searching for a gun and this has been the only place which has had the gun I wanted. The fact that they were also less expensive than I expected was nice too. I've shopped at other gun stores like Cabela's and at those other stores I felt like I was dealing with sleazy used car salesmen. I've never felt like this at Gemco; I've felt like the transaction was honest and straightforward. I also collect coins and I like their selection of those too. They seem like good people who provide good service.

Owner is a great guy. If he doesnt have what youre looking for he will get it for you. Sells jewelry at extremely fair prices. Ive been told by friends he goves fair price when buying gold also.

Greg is everything you could ask for in a small business owner. Very professional, friendly to everyone, knowledgeable, and fair. So pleased with the service I am willing to save myself the drive to the local superstores and pay a little more on items to give him my business. Routinely his deals actually beat out the big guys and if he doesnt have it he can make it happen or at least give it a fair shot. Before you ffl transfer give him a chance to just order for you! Six years later and nothing has changed. Happy to have these folks in my neighborhood. That’s a lot to say for a pawn shop.

Used to think of Greg same way as a 1 star reviews until I met the guy, only because people were saying bad things about him which was complete BS. Straight up, nice, very knowledgeable, great; plain and simple, a person I would love to do business with any time. Yes, he is super busy, BUT AGAIN HE IS BUSY BECAUSE HE IS LOVED BY ALOT OF CUSTOMERS. All these “unsatisfied customers” have a beef with him because most likely they either flexed on prices or talked down to him. Dude has immense knowledge on firearms and coins, just listen to him and learn, don’t talk back just listen, in the end you will learn something new! When you are rude or “you think you know more than he does” you should get same back as what you dish out… In the end, if you read all the way through, he is my biggest competitor. And, all I can tell you guys: Greg is awesome, knows his stuff, and he will definitely take care of you… Best RJ

I’m new to this mans shop. I pawned and g2 9mil here and he was fair with the offer. It’s a very nice environment and he has a really nice weapon selection. What really satisfied me was the fact that the man who was working inside today was very helpful with the questions that I had. I’m a new fire arm collector so when I get around someone who knows firearms better than myself I like to obtain information and I feel I left with more knowledge than I had walking in to I’m great full for that.id recommend this shop to anyone looking for a new or used firearm. Or to anyone who needs knowledge on anything in particular

Might be a good place to buy/sell/trade firearms, but not a good place for precious metals or coins. Should stick with the firearms over anything else. Also not a very friendly place to be if you have no choice in bringing your kid(s).

Nice little shop and easy to get to. Greg, the owner, is an amiable chap. They have coins, currency, and silver rounds for collectors and investors. On the day I was there they had a moderate assortment of firearms including rifles and shotguns, pistols and revolvers. Plus accessories, targets and even a decent selection of ammo, which is hard to find in some calibers these days. Put GEMCO on your list of stops when you make the rounds next time and you will be pleasantly surprised. One caveat: they do charge a $3 fee if you use your credit card to pay, so bring cash!

Nice store that has, or can get just about anything that you could imagine when it comes to coins and firearms. Greg has always been great to work with, especially by phone, when it comes to deals. Definite stop if you live in the area or are passing through.

Don't recommend, severely understaffed so unless you're the only person there it takes a really long time to get anything done and if you're looking to purchase firearms I strongly encourage you to find a place with friendly and patient employees that will take the time to make sure you're getting what you want/need.

I went to this Gold & Weapons selling shop a couple of weeks ago. This is by far THE BEST shop on the Westside in CMH! The place is clean, neat, and sits right on West Broad Street! So it's in a nice area. AND the owner is honest and doesn't try to jip you! I HIGHLY recommend anyone to come here to sell their old jewelry and weapons!

Even though the building may be small in comparison to a place like Vance's, Gemco is the best gun shop in the city. The owner, Greg, takes care of his customers on top of being knowledgeable and friendly. When you go to Vance's, you take a piece of paper and wait your turn; you're being taken care of as soon as you walk through the door at Gemco. In terms of selection, if what you're looking for isn't in store, chances are Greg can order it for you. He also does 10 month layaway, whereas most gun shops only do maybe 90 days. Put 10% of the total cost of the gun down and pay the same amount(or more if you want to pay it off early) each month, until it's paid off. So even if you're on a budget, you can still get the gun you've been drooling over. Like I said, best gun shop in Columbus.
