Worst excuse for a hospital. I would not send any death row inmate to this place to get better. I was left in my own urine one time three hours and the other times four hours because they were too busy to get to me with a bedpan The only good services I received was from the respiratory department, dietary, and speech. It’s worse at night than during the day. The techs at night spent too much time laughing and talking in the halls and playing around to take care of their patients. Each night I was scared to death wondering if I would die from being abandoned in my room. None of the texts showed compassion. Without compassion there is no patient care Two nurses, Ashley and Lyndsay. More compassionate and helpful. These are the only two that cared. There was one aid, Brittany, she did her best to make things good. Other than that, the nursing and aid staff were probably rejects from other facilities. Do not go here and do not send your family members here

My mom was here you talk about poor care, some staff was good others horrible. My mom about died here they messed her facial surgery schedule up by canceling first surgery on their own didn’t even consult with family. I repeat and I repeat do not send your family member here. It is horrible. I have been a nurse for a very long time and I have never seen this type of caring for patients, by supervisors, management and etc. not good and it’s a real shame when you entrust your love one to their care and they treat them like they don’t matter. Very sad. There is so much I could type here about her care from wounds left uncovered to straight Cath issues, to not turning my mom to dirtiness of facility, to her trach being pulled out and no one notifying the family, not feeding her when she couldn’t feed herself, no therapy like it was supposed to be cause she was kept so sedated I mean it goes on and on but I will not list everything. Just please whatever you do try to find another place for your loved one or be there all the time to monitor if you have no other choices.

My experience here at Select Medical at OSU East has been nothing short of five stars. From the nurses, the techs the surgeons and social services they all have taken extra time and patience to get to know my personal needs and my personality as I go through this most difficult time in my life. I've been in the hospital here for 8 weeks. As you can imagine, I couldn't wait to get discharged and just go home. But it was with the expertise of the entire staff that they convinced me to go to a healthcare facility from here to further my healing process in the proper atmosphere instead of at home where I would have been on my own in an unsterilized environment, so to speak. The nurses in particular, over time became very sensitive to my personal needs, as well as, my real life dilemmas and concerns that were on my mind constantly and helping ease the stress that life's up and downs can have a negative affect on the overall healing process. I can't thank or single out any one particular person from the staff here to thank more than another. It was the teamwork at Select Medical that made me write this five star review. While I don't recommend anyone rushing to any hospital to see for themselves to see if I'm right, I hope you will take my word when I say that Select Medical at OSU is awesome, and God forbid you end up here where I am, but if you do, you can confide in and relax in the care provided here at Select Medical. For the most part everyone was taking good care of me. While I was here for my approximately 3 week stay I felt people communicated well with me. Amy, made sure to follow up with any minor issue that occurred during my stay. Paulie was always checking up on me as well. I feel my progress is going well. My Physicians and Respiratory Team really gave me a clear plan and what I could expect in each step getting off the vent. I feel the Physical Therapy team keeps me on track. Thank You Lucy.

My mom had a wonderful stay at OSU Select East. The staff was very attentive to her needs in every way. She felt like she was treated like family. She was successfully weaned from trach, dialysis and underwent significant wound care and PT. From Ryan in pharmacy who checked in on her routinely, to Abby in speech, physical therapy, nurses Ashley and Lindsay, aides Autumn, Valerie and Summer, she felt like her team really cared for her and was an advocate for her well being and health recovery. Autumn was like a second daughter to my mom during her stay. And I will never forget her love. Sorry if I’ve forgotten anyone. It’s been a long two Months. The doctors were caring and communicative. The wound care doctor and his nurse Pam were so helpful and encouraging. Even the cleaning staff offered well wishes and a friendly smile everyday. We had goal meetings and the director gave us his contact info if we had any problems. We will absolutely recommend this facility to anyone in need of quality care. We are forever grateful for their care. One bad thing. The food trays are horrible. You don’t get what you order. But you will get peas. Lots of unsalted, Un buttered peas, over cooked peas. 🤢🤮. For every meal. For ever week. One day only a full plate of peas. This area needs vast improvement. We supplemented her with takeout. Food was inedible.

My husband was never bathed or turned while at the facility. The respiratory therapist cause his trach to bleed which led to another hospital visit. They also kept his belongings. The facility should be shut down .

My brother had a stroke in 2017. And his care was so wonderful. And I had been in the health care field for 23 years. So I fill out a application. I’m now a select employee. And I love it and wish I found them 20 years ago.. I love my job. Thanks for the opportunity❤️

I came to this hospital and I wasn’t in very good shape at all. The best thing that has happened to me was coming here and meeting the caring staff that worked here. They care about the patients here and treat them excellent. I would rather go nowhere else than here to be taken care of. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the staff. Thanks. Gods bless. My stay at Select East has been pleasant. I like the staff and the staff likes me. The staff is very protective of all the patients and treat you like family. I highly recommend Select.

I was a patient at Select over a month. The staff was wonderful. I would really like to thank Mindy, because she was able to help me through a very scary moment in my life. She stopped and just held my hand to calm me down in my time of need. I would recommend this hospital to anyone in my situation because they care.

I'd like to think the doctors, nurses, tech and specialist, whom against great odds, put in countless hours and resources to help in the rehabilitation of my brother, Rex Baldwin while in your care. Over the past 45 days, I witness your non stopping efforts and zeal to bring comfort and recovery in a personal but professional manner that's 2nd non. As I carefully monitored and asked questions about the changes and transitions Rex was going through, I was informed of the medication that could be given to possibly counter the impulsive reactions he was experiencing. I was also given the appropriate medical names of the medicine given to him that I may research and understanding it's possible affect. I was also Instrumental in the changing of his medication that could possibly better his condition, keeping my family and I in the loop with every decision made. I'd also like to give thanks for the consistency of the nurses and tech well noticeable love and experience that they have with there patients. My family and I was informed that the possibility of Rex ever being cohesive or responsive to his surroundings may never happen again, but after only a few weeks with the nurses and technical, he's not only communicating, he's been constantly trying to get out of bed. With that being seen, my family and I can leave this fertility with the comfort that our brother was being well care for. I would like to thank you for all that you have done and all that you continue to do for the many patients and their families that you will have 1st contact with. May God-bless you!

That they all treated her well at select specialty hospital of Columbus. And Dr. Hammer was excellent. Primary tech Tasha and nurse Kelly treated here well and came when she called. I would recommend this hospital. Patricia Ford thanks the staff for all there support.

I was a patient here for two months. Before I arrived I was at a different hospital in the ICU originally in critical condition, where my doctors said I would either not survive, or in the best case scenario would need to have chest tubes and be on the ventilator for the rest of my life. When I came to Select Specialty Hospital they were able to take great care of me while safely weaning me off the ventilator, handling my pain, figuring out the antibiotics needed to combat my persistent lung infection, alongside steady physical therapy until I regained my ability to walk. The nurses and aides were very helpful and incredibly nice to me. I had some minor issues early on in my stay and the CEO came to me directly and helped fix the situation very quickly.

I want to thank the staff at Select East for taking such good care of my father and for being there for him since we cannot physically visit. He has repeatedly told me that they have taken very good care of him. Special kudos to Nicole CNO and Holly his care manager. I received communication from them on a regular basis and they were professional and friendly.

The staff of Select Speciality Hospital - Columbus East are wonderful to me.  They check on me constantly;  I have excellent care all the day through; they meet all my needs, always asking if I want or need anything. From the nurses to the cleaning staff, everything is top rated; they go out of their way to ask if i need anything or have any pain. My room is large, My bed as well as everything else is kept clean and sterile.  They bathe me each day and I am checked by a doctor every day.  The aides, techs, and nurses, and even the Charge nurses, stop in routinely; I don't have additional needs. I have a new perspective on life and they have offered me the support to get me home. After 5 months of care off my vent ready for rehabilitation and then finally home with friends and family. I can only say thank you. Thank You to the Select Team.

As a patient of Select for almost 6 weeks I want to share my positive experience. I feel the Nurses, Physicians and OSU Doctors have been fabulous to work with on my road to recovery. I have been in a hospital setting since June and I thank the staff for getting me ready for my next location. I want to thank Steph the aide for everything she has done for me. I would recommend families check out this location for their loved ones.
