Overall,
worst
patient
experience
ever!
I
arrived
by
ambulance
and
taken
to
room
18
near
the
door.
The
staff
doing
my
intake
was
rude
and
condescending.
The
reason
I
came
in
was
for
sudden/recent
abdominal
pain
so
bad
I
had
trouble
breathing.
Using
my
medical
and
therapy
experience
I
was
calm.
When
the
staff
left
with
her
condescending
attitude,
my
mother
arrived.
I
repeatedly
said
how
much
pain
I
was
in
and
I
was
in
tears.
The
doctor
arrives
and
she’s
asking
me
questions
that
intake
just
did.
Through
the
excruciating
pain
I
answer.
Went
to
CT.
The
staff
member
did
not
open
my
line
for
my
IV
and
after
some
time
blood
was
filling
my
IV
line
almost
back
to
the
pump
where
my
saline
drip
was
coming
from.
Told
nurse
and
she
took
off
IV
line.
Doctor
comes
in
and
said
I’m
having
muscle
spasms
and
gave
me
prescription
for
muscle
relaxers.
It’s
been
3
days
since
and
my
pain
is
still
just
as
bad.
I
take
the
meds
but
still
feel
no
relief.
Doc
said
no
white
count
and
nothing
seen
on
CT
scan.
It
is
evident
that
something
else
is
wrong
because
my
abdominal
pain
is
still
going,
when
I
cough
it’s
so
bad
I
vomit,
and
my
stomach
is
still
hard
in
the
upper
right
side
along
with
pain
in
my
back
behind
that
area.
The
BEST
PART
when
I
couldn’t
breathe
from
the
pain
it
took
30-35mins
to
get
an
inhaler.
I
feel
the
staff
treated
me
like
a
junkie
but
I
hardly
ever
even
take
meds
for
a
cold.
I
didn’t
even
take
any
when
I
had
COVID.
Just
very
disappointed
and
still
in
excruciating
pain
3
days
after
leaving
the
ED.
Update:
I
was
contacted
by
2
top
executives
and
1
department
head
each
promising
to
do
better
by
their
patients.
Given
how
COVID
wrecked
black/brown
communities
and
the
disparities
black
women
go
through
at
hospitals
in
regard
to
their
pain,
I
really
hope
this
is
true.
