šŸ˜  I am at a healthy enough point to speak on what happened to me in this location. I was strangled by another patient here, who had many unprompted violent outbursts prior. This patient was assigned a physician mandated 1-1. The 1-1 and the remainder of the tech staff decided to go on smoke break. T... An absolute joke. They basically never follow the day to day schedule, rude employees and terrible psychologists. I had a vape and juice with my phone and they just tossed it all into a bag. Well my phoneā€™s charging port corroded and wouldnā€™t charge properly. This place gave me literal ptsd and flashbacks. If you get stuck here Iā€™m genuinely sorry for you. Iā€™ve been considering a lawsuit for emotional damage

Do not go here at all costs!! A loved one is here currently, and the past reviews Describe the same experience. I am fighting tooth and nail to get her out of her today. They have poor communication dismissive staff. Follow rules over proper care of individuals based on their needs. Make promises and don't keep them. Shut loved ones out who have been given signed consent. I only know what's happening because I am in the building asking, complaining, and inquiring about every small detail of what is occurring. It takes hours to get back to me with small pieces of information. There's so much more to write but can someone please help with current assistance in getting her out and maybe group together to fight and shut this place down or at least force them to better serve patients? I have heard "that shouldn't have happened in the past 2 days" more than any time in my life from managing staff here in relation to neglect of services. If anyone is wondering springstone inc. Is the umbrella corp and grievances should be brought to them as well. I was just asked to leave or be arrested because I haven't heard from any clinical staff since 7:30 this morning. And i asked the front desk too frequently whether she has received her food in a timely manner and inquire about general status. .... In response to the reply. I have been trying to reach quality control since Monday and no one has called or reached out. I only found out she was away today even though staff kept telling me to call her... She is also called the patient advocate and this facility does not seem to mind that a patient advocate doesn't have to be present every day. They only have one and when she goes away for a day there's no one. I was told she is working remotely today and have left several voicemails and have not heard back from her yet I started trying at 7:30am in the morning. Update 20 hours later no one has called me....

Iā€™d give them a -5 if it were available! My daughter needed help and sought out Brightview in E main st based on her insurance. They mislead her and referred her to a sub par facility, Columbus Springs East. Columbus Springs East kept our daughter overnight against her will, claiming she told them she was suicidal! Our daughter called us and wanted out of the facility. We were told after she spoke with the psychiatrist the next day, based on the evaluation she could be released. My daughter said she spoke coherently and rationally to the psychiatrist and told her she is not suicidal, and has a support system. They still refused to release her when we went to the facility! At this point, itā€™s about money and keeping her here as long as they can. Sheā€™s calm and rational and not as much trouble to keep here so theyā€™re opting to keep her here against her will! Weā€™re waiting on the police now to see if they can help us! DO NOT ALLOW YOUR LOVED ONES TO GO TO COLUMBUS SPRINGS EAST! Shame on Brightview for referring our daughter here! Columbus Springs should be shut down!!!!!! In March 16, 2023 this facility a staffer named Laura hung up the phone while I was speaking with my daughter!!! They refused to show her the policy in writing about speaking on the phone during ā€œgroupsā€. I called back several times, was put on hold and eventually told by a staffer named Elizabeth that there was no one available to give me the information on the policy or when groups met! She told me she would not put my call back to the unit where my daughter is being held against her will. We are working with an attorney now. I just want everyone to know DO NOT ALLOW YOUR LOVED ONES TO BE PLACED HERE!!!! I wish we wouldā€™ve had the chance to read these reviews before Brightview placed our daughter here. I found out they get $2500/day for each patient. Now it all makes sense! Itā€™s all about money!!! I want to add that Nurse Kim was a godsend!!! Her kindness and thoughtfulness made this nightmare bearable for my daughter! All other staff members are terrible! Uncaring! Arrogant! Unprofessional! Danny the director is awful!!!! All of them seem to be in some type of ego trip!!! Hopefully, this nightmare will soon!!! When I read all of the reviews of similar experiences it makes me sick to my stomach to read the insincere and ā€œcannedā€ response from ā€œpatient careā€. I called the number and no one answered! Further showing their lack of care or concern. I truly hope this place is shut down soon!

I worked there briefly as a nursing contractor, and here is what I did and what I learned. Staffing wise, they don't hold many to being on time, which makes nursing report hard as one shows up on time others show up late. Techs, some of them are great others a new one was rude, and acted like she knew it all and when I called her out on her behavior, she went to management and told the truth on me yet lied about her end of the discussion. That is typical, but management never came to me and asked my side of it, never, and that's bad. Understaffing is typical, but I ran into a nursing supervisor that was ultimately useless knowing I was short staffed, but did the obligatory "I'm over there if, you need me" meaning don't bother me and if you ask, I might help eventually, I called other units to help sign off my insulin I had to give, and waited, and waited, and got not help from them. The patients aren't bad, but the facility doesn't let them listen to music on the unit only in music therapy class. The snacks for the patients are the same old day after day generic snacks, but don't let the patients have popcorn or other snacks out of your own food. That's a sin. I guess in short management running the facility doesn't do very good for trying to look at both sides workers may have. They also don't uphold policy unless they want to. And as for helping the patients, it's not helping the patients to get them minimally stabilized, then send them back out having them repeat, and repeat return. I would advise against using this facility as a patient and as staff until upper management can learn to communicate meaning and listen to both sides of the story. Also, until staff is held accountable for attendance and other issues, it's going to be a rough job to try and work

You should be able to give 0 stars. Do not use or let anyone use this facility they treat like a prisoners not patients. they are not doing anything to help wife she went willingly wanting to detox from alcohol I was told it was a 3 day medical assisted detox they lied to my face! Now they are telling her if she wants to leave after being there for 4 days suffering thru it with little to no help that they will commit her as suicidal. You can't get anybody on the phone or call to check on your loved ones you have leave a message but she has yet to get my messages and can only call me when they let her. it's like she is in prison without committing a crime. is this not America anymore!!!

I went here for treatment. The front desk worker was amazing. Most stays are 5-7 days long. The intake process doesn't take that long. They will get you on medication pretty quickly & won't tell you the side effects. They will insist on giving you medication for everything; even when it has nothing to deal with their field of work. Foods pretty good. I watched a few staff members make fun of patience. One nurse here for amazing & respectful treated you like a person. They do a lot of music & art therapy; sometimes you get group talk therapy. The talk therapist is very pushy & judgmental; holds the fact over the patience heads that if you don't go to that therapy you can't get discharged. You go here go to every group. Don't wish to go back.

I stayed here for a week and the only positive things I experienced were from my friends that I made while staying there (other patients) and the occupational/music therapists. Staff were very dismissive and hardly listen and donā€™t explain things. The 1st night I was there I was so depressed I laid in bed all day and wasnā€™t explained how things worked and they did not care- I didnā€™t eat for 24 hrs, my friends had to motivate me to come out and eat or else the staff would start to get annoyed or upset. They did not like when you asked them questions. They were constantly mixing up patientā€™s medications or giving people the wrong doses or meds without consulting with them first. They started me on 2 medications while I was there and didnā€™t tell me once that I needed to schedule an appt with my primary doctor when getting out in order to get a refill. I was explained while in there that since their doctor prescribed it then I could get refills and now Iā€™m out of meds until I can get in with my primary. I would 1000% not recommend this place. I could go into more detail but I feel as if this is long enough. Iā€™m grateful for the friends I made but it was one of the worst experiences Iā€™ve had and it definitely made my mental health worse.

This place is only after money. They do not call and provide any treatment info for you loved one. My wife was there for several days (6 to be exact) and I received only updates when she contacted me. When I called to complain, they at first could not find her, but when they did, they refused to give me, her spouse and person that can receive updates, any information. When I asked for the director, they sent me to a generic voicemail, several times. They were very rude, short, and did not care about the fact that I have a loved one in there and received no information from the staff or clinic. This place does not care about its patience. You are strictly "cattle" to them! BTW- still waiting on that call from the facility, therapist or doctor about my wifeā€™s treatment. And yes, a release was signed.

They will make you inpatient without even telling you, HELD ME HOSTAGE!! I was there to get psychological examed so I can understand my own psychosis and the intake lady said "Are you willing to do inpatient?" She didn't say "Are you willing to start today?". Not only that but if you're a patient, you can be AT the nursing station desk and they will blatantly ignore you, or just neglect your needs. Also somebody told me I would get an "order" *their words* for my pelvic ultrasound and test for lupus and then Dr King (an old white woman) said "no we don't do that". Complete stupidity, they're not a hospital; they just want to use us as lab rats for information on psychology and do away with us when theyre ready.

I never leave reviews. This place is absolutely disgusting and filthy. After waiting nearly two hours after my scheduled appointment time, I was taken back to a filthy room covered in toenail/fingernail clippings, vomit and liquids streaking down the wall, and expletive writings all over the walls and broken furniture. It looked like a frat house. If this is what itā€™s like just being evaluated, I donā€™t even want to know what the actual inpatient ward is like. Doctors/nurses acted unprofessionally and asked me personal medical questions in front of everyone in the lobby. Save your time, money, and mental health and go to OSU Harding instead.

My daughter was sent here twice. Tried to get her admitted to a facility that specializes in her type of mental illness. Columbus Springs felt she didn't need to go and the only way for her to be admitted is to go straight from a hospital. Her therapist told my husband she felt our daughter could be discharged because she was med compliant, which she is not. After only being there a couple of days, she was discharged home. Hardly any therapy both times she was there. A waste of time and money!

I was forced to be there by a doctorā€™s order after being admitted in the ER. I was put in a ward with extremely psychotic ill people. They will threaten you if you mention you want to sign an AMA stating that theyā€™ll assume you donā€™t want to get treatment. Even do the music and art therapies are nice THERE IS NOT WAY TO TREAT A SINGLE INDIVIDUAL. I saw many people leave after they just completed the time mandated by law. People extremely sick and in urgent need of specialized care. Even though I did everything I was told, I had to endure and witness behaviors that have for ever traumatized me and they still kept me a day longer than is mandated by law. Also weekends do not count. You are not allowed to have absolutely anything with laces, no access to your phone or even your watch and I had to ask repeatedly for them to let me have my wedding band back. Food can be both decent and hideous. I agree with other review I saw. This place doesnā€™t care about the well-being of the people they admit. They just want to keep people as long as possible to get money for it. The body lotion they gave me made my skin extremely dry and gave me a horrible case of acne. Worst place Iā€™ve ever been in my entire life. Never been in jail but now I know how it feels. My heart aches for the people that has to stay there. Also, the furniture used by the patients is always so dirty with who knows what kind of fluids on everything. Looks nasty. Therapists are extremely nice and sweet people. But other than that, place is hell. I was forced to sign a paper that said I was there voluntarily when I clearly wasnā€™t. They will threaten with filing a court order to keep you there if you donā€™t sing. Horrible. Just horrible.

COMPLETE SCAM AND FRAUD. The blonde lady therapist told me that I needed to cater to the Indian man psychiatristā€™s ego to get him to let me out after keeping me even when showing I was fine. Maybe because they charge $4,000 a night so you can color with crayons all day till you tell them youā€™re happy. This facility is complete trash, they will starve you with disgusting cafe food and fake processed meat sandwiches. They make sure you donā€™t sleep as they wake you up constantly throughout the night. You have zero privacy and you will be promoted cigarette smoking even if you donā€™t smoke they will promote that you do 3 times a day. Youā€™re better off going to country jail.

Incompetent to say the least. Told the receptionist and doctor for the assessment over a dozen time that I was coming for opiate detox and addiction treatment. So I scheduled a month in advance to come in and they had me do the entire assessment just to tell me that they no long do treatment for opiates. Then I told them I am suicidal and once I leave there I will harm myself but they still sent me out the door. I know they had me come in and waste my time and had me do the assessment just so they could make a quick few hundred bucks or whatever from the insurance company. Thanks CSE, u guys totally rock.

I never leave reviewsā€¦. But this one is worth it. Iā€™m going to be real here about this place. Iā€™ve seen all the reviews beforehand so before checking myself in to this place I had low expectations to begin with. But let me tell you! The staff here Really CARE! And this place is amazing! They want you to get better! They provide you with all of the resources you need to get you back on your feet. Columbus Springs SAVED MY LIFE! And I owe them so much for it! My stay here was comfortable, they give you tons to stay busy with positive therapy sessions and outside breaks, the food is delicious as well ! If you have any concerns whatsoever they have bulletin boards with appropriate steps to take and who to contact and they will make sure it gets addressed right away. I was always meeting and interacting with my Doctors and Therapist Psychiatrist etcā€¦ and other staff, which made me feel cared for. the staff here is very constantly aiming to providing absolute stellar care to their patients. If you need the help come here, it wonā€™t be easy but you get in what you put out. It may be uncomfortable, irritating, and you may be upset. but just know that the staff here will do so everything they can to make sure you are back to your best self again :) I WOULD LIKE TO TELL THE OWNER AND CLINICAL DIRECTOR TO PLEASE RECOGNIZE THE STAFF FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING HOSPITALITY And CARE in the Laurel Unit - HUGE THANK YOU TO THIS FACILITY, and THE STAFF, I would specifically like to Give kudos to Shaye my therapist, and my PsychiatristNP Cindy Who always went out of her way to make sure I had a smile on my face and my concerns were addressed. COME TO COLUMBUS SPRINGS EAST, THEREā€™S HELP, Thereā€™s HOPE :D

I'm not ashamed to have needed mental health assistance so at this point I think it's fair to say that the state of this facility is outrageous. The door locks behind you as soon as you walk in which is by no means okay. It invokes immediate discomfort and terror. The care team treats the people who are participating and asking for help like they are animals. Then, they slap you with large bills post participation. I've never been more enlightened and ashamed by the state of a facility that proclaims they are there to help. This estaishment is a way to fast track yourself toward only more problems without proper assistance in finding a solution.

Awful treatment, dismissing patients pleas for help, eating outside food and using phones in front of restricted patients. Gender inequalities, and incompetant management. Not adressing verbal abuse or fights. Over all a sad place with a few humane techs struggling to stay emplyoed. This is a money pit, not interested in helping human beings. Ridiculous insurance policies beware!

Do not send your loved ones here. This was a horrible experience. The staff was horrendous. I felt less than human when I there. I saw abuse like I didnā€™t think was possible. Other patience had to tell people an incapable person that they needed help. He desperately needed a bath. He ran around naked at 4am and just needed help and they could not provide it. Another person passed out in the dining room and WE the patient carried him to his bed. This place needs help or should be shut down.

Iā€™m very grateful to be apart of the team here at CSE. I guess you can say Iā€™m a fairly new hire and already have learned so much. My co-workers and my work environment is one of the best Iā€™ve ever encountered and Iā€™ve been a nurse 18yrs and in the medical field 21yrs. I believe my team cares about our patients and their co-workers. Yes, the patients come first and thatā€™s how it should be when youā€™re in the patient business. But we have a good balance to make sure everyone is healthy and happy. Thank you CSE for having me. KMC

Dirty, outdated, mostly rude nurses and PCAs who roll their eyes when you ask for anything. PCAs telling each other to "control your people," like we were animals. "Spiritual Wellness Group" which was a Christian pastor talking about how climate change is fake. No windows in the common areas. Inconsistent rules: I wasn't allowed to keep my toiletries in my room, but my roommate was allowed to keep hers. I was also given a plastic bag to take in my room multiple times, which seemed pretty irresponsible. The whole experience was incredibly dehumanizing. Luckily, the psychiatrist was pretty good, as were the therapists. I've been to Dublin Springs in the past, which was very helpful, but I left Columbus Springs East today traumatized. The two are a world apart.

I stayed in this facility for 10 days. Straight from my ER. It was a 1.5 hr drive. It was a awful experience. It was found at my ER labs, that I had a infection in my bladder and it was never treated the 10 days I was there. I wasn't even told! Also, you're only allowed 4 packets of sugar a day, with 1 cup of caffeinated coffee in the morning. Only four, 15 minute smoke breaks outside a day. I wasnt treated properly. When I filled out my paperwork for discharge. And had to intial what the doctors and nurse's had done concerning my treatment. I was only able to initial 4 things, out of the 11 or so they should have done! I also was never introduced to my caseworker and had to flag one down, a few days before my departure. My room was cleaned twice in those 10 days I was there. It was dirty and disgusting. The mattresses are plastic, the pillows are plastic and soap provided, made me break out in a bad rash. None of my medications where changed. And on my last day, there was horrible over flow, with people who had been set up on cots in the hallway areas because there was no room. And make sure to bring your charger, especially if it's a micro usb, because no one on staff, knew what that was, so I could charge my phone and get my numbers. And dont ask for your insurances phone number, because you will be flat out ignored like the plague. Staff was uppity and rude most of the time, one staff member stated it as a comparison to babysitting. Miss Kim was the like the sun in a dark place. She was a genuine, loving woman. And you will be stripped searched upon arrival. Which I get there's safety concerns, but none the less humiliating. You really have NO say in your treatment plan. And everything you do and say is recorded by cameras or staff. They take note if you dont eat every snack and meal, take your meds, interact with others, go to groups, shower, go to the restroom. If you are fond of prison, this is the place for you.

The outpatient service was helpful, my counselor was amazing person. But I got my meds adjusted to a higher dose which effected me negatively. I left a voice mail never heard back. Except when I was called 3 separate times about my bill. Not being called about negative side effects but being reminded of the 1,000 dollars I owes. And then later "I'm sorry with the new year it's actually 2,000". That's not helpful and very much gives a feeling of money over treatment. There is also no payment plan or anything while serving a population were money is potentially scarce. In a time were people are struggling to make ends meet to the point it effects their mental health this should be considered.

I only gave 1 star because I HAD to! I would give ZERO STARS if it were an option. If you or a family member are going thru a mental crisis. i would highly recommend to not bring them here. The front desk staff sets the tone with their nonchalant attitude and lack of empathy for their patients/visitors. Not only were we waiting for 45 mins- We were the only ones waiting in the lobby, yet they couldnā€™t give us an eta. The clinician who came to assess my family member would not even disclose their name? And was not wearing proper identification. she proceeded to laugh in my face, alongside my family member who is currently severely struggling! No one introduced themselves and was never pleasant throughout this whole process!! A place specifically designed to help for mental health made my family member even more anxious than they were before we walk thru their door!! 0/10!!!! i wouldnā€™t even bring my dog to them. They made matters worse if anything

This is by far the most disorganized, incompetent psychiatric facility I've ever seen. I was advised to stop in on a Saturday afternoon for an initial assessment -- I was very reluctant to do so because who wants to spend their Saturday morning/afternoon at the doctor's office? Not only did I spend my time, fuel, and energy to make it to this Saturday appointment, it was just a waste because the hospital's office doors were locked and the front desk staff of this place were nowhere to be found. I left and called that following Monday and was told to reschedule. I did, and when I returned the following week I spent an hour in the lobby just to ultimately be told they do not offer individual psychiatry services (shouldn't that be a question asked over the phone as apart of the intake process prior to setting up an appointment?). To make matters worse, the front desk staff also forgot to return my driver's license, so now I am without that as well! I am so annoyed, these people are so unorganized and inefficient. This was a complete waste of time and I suggest anyone in need of psychiatry or therapy services do not come here as these folks will only inflict more stress and anxiety.

I was held against my will. They have yet to produce a pink slip or any other document that states I had to stay there. I was told if I didn't give them my shoe strings I couldn't eat. I am at a healthy enough point to speak on what happened to me in this location. I was strangled by another patient here, who had many unprompted violent outbursts prior. This patient was assigned a physician mandated 1-1. The 1-1 and the remainder of the tech staff decided to go on smoke break. The only staff member on the unit, nurse Susan, did not try to get the patient off of me as I was pushed on the wall. There was no note of the marks on my neck or the altercation in the provided medical documentation. members of the non-administrative and non-nursing staff did admit that they did not follow protocol & even encouraged a suit. Instead of handling what occurred, it was covered. my mother called in and first mention of a suit, i was restricted from calling my parents and the police as the patient remained on my unit continually threatening my life. I was flash-discharged the following morning without completion of treatment and none of the follow-up treatment presented, not even the work excuse the therapist was going to provide that evening. Mine and my parents phone calls had been ignored. I came here at the worst I have been in my life, and the treatment that I received was powerfully traumatic. The most consistent and concerning response I received from nursing was ā€œthis is just what happens when you come to places like this.ā€ Please bring your loved ones somewhere that takes safety seriously.

I was admitted for 5 days and left on 9/18. They did not call in 2 out of the 3 medications I was prescribed. I had to visit my primary care doctor to get them. I am more mentally ill now than I was before I went to Columbus Springs. I am forever scarred and changed by this experience and deeply wish I never went. So much for getting help.

After calling in to schedule my assessment letting them know I'm not mobile and therefore almost 1Ā½ hours away by bus that I get there and am blind sided with extremely late notice of no devices allowed at all during the inpatient care...what is this prison?? And how inconsiderate it is to not let people know ahead of time I have a baby and things I have to multitask and do during this does that mean I'm not qualified for much need help?? Baffled

šŸ˜  Iā€™ve been to Riverside 3 times in less than a year, each time to accompany a sick relative. Avoid this hospital at all costs, go to Ohio State. The staff seems not concerned with the patients whatsoever, youā€™re treated like a burdensome file and not a human being. If you speak up nurses get annoyed...

šŸ˜  Doctor's are good patients care is absolutely horrible. A handful of staff is okay rest is completely rude. I would never recommend this hospital for any length of stay especially if you are unable to care for yourself. Can not wait to get our 21 year old daughter out of here. Every health care work...

šŸ˜  Tuesday, July 26, 2022, I was admitted to St Francis Hospital. I was placed in the emergency room for 12 hours in filth. šŸ˜  My first and hopefully last visit here! It's now 03:35 on 28MAR22 and as I enter the ER entrance I find the check-in nurse sleeping and a janitor and security guard sitting beside her with their faces buried in their phones. I walk past them and into a waiting room area where another nurse snaps at...
