😠 Do not go here. Especially if you are a minority. They will keep pushing you to the back of the line. There was only one person in front of me when I arrived, but for some reason 3 hours later I was still waiting to see the doctor. They said it’s due to the severity of the problem. Funny because eve... People often mention staff, doctor, wait, child, time, daughter, nice, hours, waiting, care,

Do not go here. Especially if you are a minority. They will keep pushing you to the back of the line. There was only one person in front of me when I arrived, but for some reason 3 hours later I was still waiting to see the doctor. They said it’s due to the severity of the problem. Funny because every child that came in after me looked to be in the same condition as my daughter. Besides the fact that she wasn’t white. She got a COVID test, and after waiting for two and a half hours I was over it. So I asked for my daughters Covid results, and the nurses told me they can’t release that information that only the Doctor can tell me that. Funny because over the past two years dealing with COVID. I’ve received Covid test results from everyone but a doctor. They test you everywhere and anybody gives you the results. They just wanted me to wait 5 hours to see the doctor so they can charge the insurance more and more. ..And her mom is still calling trying to get her COVID test results and they still won’t release them, because I didn’t see a doctor…so Ima guess she doesn’t have it.

My 4 year old was sick with fever, chills, body aches and had a high rate (main reason for taking him in) got there about 11:50 PM front staff was fantastic, waited for about 25 minutes before we went back no problem. See the tech and nurse by 12:30 and sat there for 1.5 hours just waiting…I completely understand it’s the ER and people higher priority emergencies. I waited 90 minutes and decided that it was now 2 and my autistic child was done. Got up to leave only to find a nurse station full of staff. (I’m sure the majority of nurses) chatting, wrapped in blankets and one was even lounging on 2 chairs. Overall pretty disappointed by nationwide as a whole (we were with Cleveland clinic children’s before relocating and nationwide doesn’t even hold a candle to CCC)

Very happy with our experience here, after our toddler split his chin open while playing. Staff was pleasant, no wait, and excellent nurses. We're lucky to have found it because our neighbor (a pediatrician) recommended it.

Happy with the experience. This is the first time we went for an ER, with our 8 month old baby who bumped her head. No waiting time, pleasant staff and doctors, very good service.

THE SLOWEST emergency room. 1 hour to get x Ray results and 30 minutes to get discard paperwork.

I wouldn't classify an emergency room a place that I love, but when it comes to an emergency medical facility for my children, it's nice to have this close to home instead of having to go to the main children's hospital down town. It's great that there is a facility close that specializes in children.

Visited this place last October due to my massive nosebleed issue. The doctor gave me several gauzes and a plastic clamp, that’s it. After a week, I received a bill from Ohio Health with $590. My insurance covered over $440 so I only paid $140 by myself. You think that’s the end? Oh, no no no...I just received another $300 bill from TeamHealth saying I have to pay the doctor separately, who gave me gauzes and let me sit in the hospital for over an hour. I guess doctor is a job that can make some ez money?

Took my son in for chest congestion. I was taken to a room right away and vitals were taken. I was left in the room 1.5 hours with never being checked on. My sick child was screaming in pain. We had to leave because they said the wait was 2 hours longer. If I was told upfront it was a 3 hour wait we would have looked else for medical treatment. I would never take a sick child there again. This place would be better for a child that has passed away and vitals just need to be done to declare time of death.

Amazing doctors and staff treated us and our mixed son the same as any other child . No discrimination or racism here what so ever! I only say this due to other reviews I have read, very sad that the racist card is pulled still... it's 2022! friendly people helping sick children is all I see here.

My son took his 21 month old with high fever and nausea in middle of night. Staff was amazing, friendly, caring, they were fast and did everything possible to make the baby comfortable. She's in middle of potty training, they even ensured they had one available in case she needed to go. Their behavior showed how much they love what they do.

I have never in my life been treated so well at the emergency room. The way they cared for my 2-year-old baby girl was unexplainable. They made me comfortable as a mom, made my daughter comfortable, and just treated us so well. I highly recommend this location. I live nowhere near this location but will never go anywhere else other than here again. Thank you to all the nurses, physicians, and staff who made our stressful visit so easy! I am truly grateful :)

We had such a great 1st experience today! We were greeted right when we walked in by a very kind lady. She gave my 4 year son and I our masks to put on and directed us where to go. Once we got onto the Nationwide Children’s radiology floor we checked in right away and only waited about 10 mins. We were 30 mins early too! The front desk staff and security guard were so so nice! Our ultrasound went by so fast and the tech was so professional and very kind. Thank you so much for treating us so well! I highly recommend this place!

Took my toddler to the ED for the first time to get stitches and I was very impressed with the care we received. We were seen within ten minutes of arriving, nurses and doctor were all extremely pleasant and supportive and we were able to leave within a couple of hours. I would highly recommend taking your child here if they need emergency care!

This has been our go-to ER since my son was born close to 5 years ago. Every time we go we have a good experience. But this morning has by far been the best experience and that's what prompted my review. The whole team exceeded expectations! The staff checking us in were very nice. Our wait was less than 10 min. The nurse was the sweetest and so attentive to my kiddo. She even gave him a little play pack with crayons, stickers and a coloring book. Then the doctor that came in listened to our concerns and explained everything in depth. He also was extremely nice and so good with our kiddo. We left feeling relieved and happy with the care.

They always have pleasant staff. During an ER visit as we waited in the waiting room I felt confident that they knew our needs and all of those waiting and prioritized very well. I felt as comfortable as anyone could with my child sick and waiting in an ER

We took our kid to the emergency room due to his high fever. The whole process took 4 hours which was too exhausting for a sick kid. They’re providing a good service, doctors and nurses are so nice and careful with everything. But this wait time is just not reasonable.

  • 5/5 Savannah H. 1 year ago on Google
This ER experience was the absolute best one I’ve ever had. They listened to us, did every test we asked and not once questioned it. Even offered to admit my daughter if we weren’t comfortable with the results from her neurosurgeon. Amazing. 10/10

Security was not welcoming. Did not help—only patronized. They ran outside and demanded we don’t drop our baby off to the front. We pulled to the front and took about 60 seconds to unload our 3month old baby on oxygen and security proceeded to give us a hard time even as we came in the building. Our baby is recovering from a 2 week hospital stay and is still on forced oxygen. The security guards were rude despite our baby needing to be dropped off through the doors. It is 27 degrees outside and AGAIN, he’s on oxygen recovering from a lengthy hospital stay. I recommend going somewhere else with security who may understand the needs of sick children. Rudest encounter I’ve had at Nationwide Childrens. Didn’t offer to help with oxygen tank or any bags, 2 security guards just stood there and tried to reprimand me as I struggled to get my sick newborn out of my car and into his appointment. They were rude enough to ask what we were here for and why we didn’t have a handicap sticker. We just adopted our son. This was @1:00 on 2/17.

Went here sunday with my daughter we suspected covid. As a parent you hate seeing your child sick. We were greeted instantly, the nurse was waiting on us ,we instantly were taken back and accessed quickly the whole process I believe took an hour the entire staff were friendly made ,Myself and most importantly my daughter who is 3 comfortable now she wants to go back lol as a worker in the healthcare field for people concerned with wait times do have to realize testing times that vary from child to child as well as doing assessments and children feeling I'll may take awhile they cant rush the process I'm a minority as well I've read they treat differently but that's NOT true it wasn't even a thought

This place is awful! Went there today for my daughter. The doctor was too much about herself and her kids that she didn’t treat my own child. She was telling me how my daughters family doctor wasn’t practicing correctly and compared my daughter to her kids. She did absolutely nothing and said if it still persists a week longer to come back. But pretty sure 4 weeks is long enough. We seriously went down the road 20 minutes and she tested positive for rsv. If they think I’m paying for that bill there they can stick it

Unfortunately, we have a lot of experience with this ER because our child has been sick quite often. Every time we have come in, whether it has been in the middle of the night or the daytime we and our child have been treated with great care and compassion. They have a great team. I see a lot of reviews about the wait time; all I can say is it's an ER--there will always be a wait. And most serious cases get treated first. If your wait is longer, please consider that another child may be in worse condition than yours.

Unfortunately two of our kids have had trouble with Asthma. We’ve brought them to this ER at various times of day and it’s never been crazy busy. We’ve usually waited 15 minutes or less to be taken back and the whole visit has taken 1-2 hours which is very reasonable for an ER. We’ve always gotten thorough and excellent care and the staff has always been friendly. Highly recommend!

Kind staff! Had to bring my daughter in late on a Sunday and we were seen quickly and the staff is so great with children! The absolute right people to be working with children and parents during difficult situations.

Terrible experience. My son was there two times for croup in 6 months. Both visits had identical treatment and length of stay in the room. The first bill was reasonable the second bill was over 2 times the cost. I called they billing department and they gave me the excuse that a subjective "level" of severity the doctor used allowed them to charge double dispite both visits being identical in every way other than the actual doctor we saw. I challenged the bill and all they did was send me a letter stating the bill "stands" and they arent wrong. Such non sense. Way to juice parents for every dime. Thanks childrens.

Took my son there , had to hold my composure so I wasn't rude But there was a Staff member that should not "try" and flirt It was overboard where we laughed when we left because she purposely tried to lift her shirt to expose her tail. And it's unprofessional

Unless you're literally dying, I wouldn't recommend coming here in the evening. I brought my son in because he was having fevers and chills, because urgent care was farther. We were trialed rather quickly, then we sat in the room for about an hour and a half before I had to pee. Someone said they'd be checking on us soon and then another 2 hours passed. Nobody's been in to tell us if we can go, if we should give him anything, what the plan was/is...

I can't say how amazing this place is. I would always take my oldest son there before we had our second because we spent one night at children's downtown emergency room and they didn't do anything for him. So even though it's a drive we go here. An how glad I am we did my youngest at only 4 day's old was very sick so we took him to Lewis Center in the mist of try to find out what was wrong he stopped breathing. They instantly went into action and intubated him. All of the doctor's an nurses saved my babies life. Turns out he had covid. So I'm sorry I don't know your names but thank you to all the one's who worked on an saved my 4 day old son.

Day before Thanksgiving our 2 month old had severe nasal congestion and hard time breathing and we got in right away and everyone was so helpful and nice especially during covid when things can be stressful and new. First time mom and first born and would highly recommend everyone here to help you're little one!!

Toddler needed some scans done for possible neurological issues and they forced me out and wouldn't let me be in there with my scared toddler. Obviously they don't care. Taking my daughter elsewhere for now on.

Amazing!! We have been taking our son here for almost 2 years. Today is his last appointment and with all the joy that brings comes the sadness that we won't see all the smiling faces and the new friends that we made. The best place, they really do not only care about your child's development, but making them smile. Thank you thank you so much Megan and all the staff. We love Nationwide Children's. Thank you

We brought our son here last night and had THE most amazing experience. Every single person we encountered from registration, to techs, to nurses, to radiology, to physicians were so kind and caring. I work in healthcare and I was blown away by the entire experience. Thank you for all you do!

Tonight I had to take my son to this ER. I'm so glad I chose this one because the staff was amazing! The wait in the lobby was extremely long because they were so busy (not their fault) but they kept checking on my son and asking if I needed anything. When we finally got back to see the doctor the nurse "bubble lady" came in to take his vitals and she was great with my son! She blew bubbles to make him happy because he doesn't do well with strangers. He was so happy! Then the doctor came in and checked him out, she was very nice. Afterwards they gave my son a popsicle and even some bubbles to take home. So the long wait in the lobby was worth it.

Visited this location tonight with my daughter and 8 month old grandson for congestion and difficulty breathing. We were taken back shortly after arriving to a triage room where his vitals were taken. We waited for 3 hours and he/his vitals were not rechecked. We decided to do what we have never done before - leave. Since it is after 3 AM, we will take shifts watching him and go to an Ohio Health Urgent Care at 9 AM. Nationwide Children's, it is important to note, he was diagnosed with the flu and ear infection Thursday at one of your Primary Care Centers, which we shared (adults were diagnosed and treated for Type A flu and bronchitis this past week in the home - there have been deaths just this week from the flu). To make matters worse, staff members were playing cards, the nurse or PCA shared Urgent Care hours for Sunday (that is just a few hours away) AND the doctor walked by and shared he was the only doctor on staff with two other children ahead of us moving as quickly as he can. Unfortunate, doctor stretched thin and children waiting too long. So many problems with this situation and very very disappointing to know new state of the art units are opening and there are not enough doctors to staff the exisiting needs of my grandson and other children.

I brought my 1 year old here when he was having trouble breathing and a high fever and we were treated professionally and with compassion. We didn't have a wait at all and came here the day after Christmas. The doctor was very informative and the nurses attentive. I wouldn't hesitate to return here if the need arose.

This is only the one location that I found after a long time, all the staff treat my child like their own child. We don't have to wait that long like other hospital. I will visit only here if I hapend to. If you haven't been in here, I definitely recommend to all of you.

My son needed stitches after a fall at the babysitters. We showed up for an unexpected visit and were checked right in. We were seen immediately by the nurse, technician and doctor. We had to wait 30 mins for the numbing jelly to take effect and they provided coloring books and entertainment. They talked him through the stitches and made him very comfortable and relaxed. Everyone from start to finish was extremely courteous and professional.
