My mom was at Riverside Methodist Hospital on 4 different admits for the total of 3 days. COPC Hospitalists were the ones who saw her for 27 of those days. The amount of testing they did on her could be labeled torture. My sister and I decided they needed to step away, far away from our mother because they were finding nothing and it was obvious they were guessing. My mom had a lumbar puncture and a bone marrow biopsy in the same day. That was enough. We requested MedOne to take over. The last 2 days of her 3rd visit and the entire 6 of her 4th visit, Dr. James W. Devore MD, Dr. William L. Meyer MD, and Dr. Ibiene A. Osuobeni MD were able to do what several other COPC doctors couldn't. And that was figuring out what was wrong with my mom and giving us a diagnosis. Dr. Devore explained things to us in the most easy to understand way anybody had. He talked TO my sister and I and went step by step with what had happened. Dr. Meyer was the absolute best in the ER. He said my mom had the largest work up he's ever seen on one person but that he was not going to repeat any of the tests that had already been completed. He asked questions and wanted to go down a different path. Auto-immune. That was the correct path all along. Dr. Devore and Dr. Osuobeni were my mom's physicians during her last stay. Dr. Devore was just as kind and he was previously. Dr. Osuobeni not only called my sister but had tried my number and came in the room to talk to ME after she talked with my sister. They had looked at all the information COPC doctors had, added their own with different tests and figured out what was wrong with my mom. They LOOKED at ALL of the information given and figured it out. No words can describe the relief for my mom, my sister, and I. When a loved one is sick and it's obvious to everyone that looks at her, but nobody can figure out what's wrong, physicians are dismissive and curt; it makes things worse. A lot worse. I am so very thankful for those 3 MedOne physicians. I highly recommend you go with them instead of COPC if you are in any of the OhioHealth hospitals. Trust me on this one. It's a win win.

Had great experiences in the past. I am in the hospital quite often. However this last time in January 2017, I had a Med One Doctor that actually got mad, got in my face, all because I requested a consult from my Specialist that works in the same hospital I was admitted to. Turns out he had alcohol on his breath.... Kinda makes me nervous going home becauae he said he doesnt know why I am having chest pain and swelling in both my lower legs and feet...

Med One is the worst group I have ever encountered as a registered nurse. Not only were three mistakes made during a hospital stay, but the discharging physician could not write coherent prescriptions leaving the pharmacist to try and track him down to clarify. Request COPC as attending physicians if admitted to Riverside. Stay away from Med One. They have made one mistake too many. If I could give a 0 star I would.

Had a terrible experience at Riverside Hospital. As a Pharmacist I was stunned at the lack of assessment and 2 med errors that were made. I was the sick patient in the bed and had to find these mistakes? The average person would never know. The assessments were terrible; they truly had no idea why I was there with their poor questions. Especially the PA that unfortunately I had twice. She also took 4 hours to get me discharged and then she totally mis-represented my pain control prescription. She told me I would have pain meds every 4 hours x 3 days. I agreed to this. But then at the pharmacy she had only given me enough meds for every 6 hours. When you just had a big surgery, this makes a huge difference. Thank goodness my surgeon was wonderful. Between Med One and the horrible nursing care, i couldn’t wait to leave. I came close to walking out!

Todd changed all of that. I started working with him in January 2023, and I have never felt better. Todd’s c...
