If I could give this hospital -10 stars I would. This place is a joke. Their staff is HORRIBLE. I haven’t met a single good nurse there. They do not take their patients seriously. Treat them terribly. So very rude. They absolutely have no “hospital standard” there. I would absolutely never recommend this hospital to anyone. You all should be ashamed of yourselves and your disgusting staff. DO BETTER. Your patients do not deserve the treatment you give them.

My mom was a nurse there on 7 tower. I think the place could use some better doctors and staff. It should never take an hour to be checked in when no one else is in the waiting area. That's just my opinion though. Nothing to take seriously.

My fiancé was misdiagnosed she went in the ER for excruciating pain in her lower stomach. They told her after a few hours she had kidney stones. No biggie. They prescribed her with 4 different medicines and sent her home. They didn’t tell her at the age of 20 that she had cysts on her ovaries… They called her mother a week after she went. I can’t say to many bad things because the women were very kind. But, they need to be more careful about diagnosing people things that aren’t right.

If you want your staff to have a teaching moment, go for it! If I'd have been ASKED if I was ok to be ON DISPLAY for what I came into the ER for, I would have probably said sure...no problem. I have HS (Hidradenitis Suppurativa) a SEVERE skin/auto immune disease. Not only did they not acknowledge my disease WHATSOEVER, they treated me like a freak! And evey single staff member except the actual doctor had the audacity to ask me "how did this get so big" or "what took you soon to come in?!" ....maybe because of PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!!!

My stay so far has been phenomenal, never thought I'd say that about a hospital. I was rushed up to ICU. I guess I was crashing. My nurse Kaitlyn and of course the others were amazing. They had a lot of craziness to deal with I'm sure. They are getting me figured out finally. I've been trying to do that for 49 years haha. Seriously though if you need a pulmonary doctor. Dr. Chada is great, he listens to me, and actually hears me. He has a good sense of humor, compassion and a great smile. He didn't mind me telling him not to sugarcoat anything. My only complaint is don't eat the meatloaf.

I would have to give this Hospital 5 stars. I had my surgery here with Dr . LEE and he did a fantastic job, as well as the nursing staff . Everyone was very friendly and helpful . And they explained everything that was going on and information that I needed . I was so pleased with my stay here .

Took my wife in for a single stitch. Turns out that before insurance it costed us a little over $1200. Doctor costed us $600 and just using the hospital's waiting room cost us $600. Do not go here for an emergency, seek out a urgent care center!

I was scheduled to see Dr Golas after an ER visit for my gall bladder and inflamed liver. During my initial visit we talked about gall bladder removal and the need to change my lifestyle for a healthier life. After my gall bladder surgery, Dr Golas gave us several ways to reach him during recovery. As a general surgeon and bariatric surgeon, Dr Golas is not pushing surgery as an only option for weight loss. He listened to my concerns and my feelings and offered resources that meet my preferences. Even post-op, he has offered to help get me to where I need to be. Dr Golas has been great to work with. He has a great personality and truly cares about his patients. I highly recommend him as a surgeon .

I had the gastric sleeve done on 3/5/2020. Dr. Adam Golas was my surgeon. I am so glad I had the procedure done. I am 3 mos post surgery and down 50 lbs. I have more energy and less pain from arthritic knees. I recieved great care from Dr. Golas and the team at Columbus Regional. If you are considering weight loss surgery I highly recommend Dr. Golas and Columbus Regional . Excellent care !!

My husband had surgery and our experience at CRH was great. Dr. Adam Golas, the surgeon, was so personable and reliable. We felt secure under his care. Everyone we came in contact with from the valet parking attendant to the discharge nurse was friendly and helpful. The care in out patient surgery was excellent. I am a nurse and felt really encouraged to received such good health care. Keep up the good work!

Dr. Golas was very patient and kind and caring for my dad. He visited him every day while he was in the hospital to let him know what the plan was. He discussed all the treatment options with us so we understood how to make the best decisions about the path forward. He explained everything clearly so that we could understand.

Great experience altogether...that's what comes to my mind when it comes to Dr. Golas...if you're under him then you are in safe hands...my wife went through surgery and Dr. Golas took every single care that was possible...he listened to all our queries and addressed them with patience...highly recommendable...thank you Dr. Golas!!

Have had many bad experiences here especially the er Dr's. Until they heard my wife telling my daughter not to sign the release papers or to sign them under duress they were going to send her home after her due date while she is peeing blood. Makes no sense

This is unimaginabley poor hospital. When concerned for my son who had been on a ventilator for 7 days, I decided to spend the night. My son had been moved to 4 the floor. His weight had lowered by 20 pounds in that time. They advised that he would be put on a feeding tube because Speech said he could not swallow. I knew he could because I had just fed him Jello. He was begging for food. I told the Dr I would like to try to feed him, since they could not find anyone to put in the device for 24 hours. As a mother, I wasn't going to let my son go that long with nothing allowed but ice chips. The Dr agreed. I got him to eat two bowls of broth, a jello, sprite, and water. He perked up became more aware and begged me to stay. He said they do nothing for me if you aren't here. At 10 that evening a police officer came to the room and said I have to leave. A nurse stated that it was policy that I could not stay. I advised her that I had many times in the past when family members were this bad. They told me to leave. My son told them if I was leaving he was too. The cop said you aren't going anywhere. I left. But I want to see this policy in writing. The nurse said we only let family stay if the patient is dieing. In reality I believe that it is just a decision made day to day. I would not recommend this hospital.

The birthing center nurses should get on the same page with their rules because they change from shift to shift and this is not the time or place to be upsetting people. It is understood that they have been busy on this floor but taking your aggressions out on someone who is in labor and their support team is absolutely uncalled for. Find a new profession if you can't handle the heat! Referring to staff on shift 7-10-2023 @ 4pm

My roommate has been yelling for help. I turned on my call light for someone to come help her! They ignore the call light! Meanwhile a guy outside the room pushing a vital sign tree ignores my calls. Finally a woman comes in the room and says she is not the roommate nurse! I got angry and the lady said she would get the roommate nurse. Still no sign of her. This is on 4T

Prepare to wait for a long time if you ever have to go to the emergency room. You'll wait an indefinite and excessive amount of time during every step of the process as you watch all manner of personnel stand around or chat with each other instead of doing their jobs. Your waiting time would be better spent going to a different hospital where they actually notice that you're there in the first place.

I have been at ER 3X in 3 days with completely swollen eyes, absess on forehead & major headache. I was told to consult my family doctor who sent me to ER because she had no openings. Spent 3 hours in room never saw doctor, no Tylenol for headache. Going on 1 week now with no help. CRH IS WASTE OF TIME.

1 hour and 45 min. STILL IN ER WAITING area waiting to be seen. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ! Doesn't matter how nice a hospital looks if they can't get you seen. Sure wish they'd sell some of the land in various locations they bought around Columbus to keep competition out of town and invest in more people and quality people to better the care they offer at current locations

Like other reviews, if I could give zero stars, I would. This hospital takes advantage of people with completely unethical billing practices and pricing, AND has terribly rude patient service. I’ve heard this for years from many family members and friends, but only experienced this for myself the past month. No one knows what any service costs—not the office staff, doctors or even financial services. It will be a complete shock when you get your bill in the mail because they insist on being secretive and non-transparent (on purpose!) with their charges. They will not work with you on negotiating your bill, but instead will try to put you on a payment plan with a $25/month minimum. This is a FOR PROFIT hospital that takes advantage of people and it’s high time Columbus gets rid of CRH. Instead, our mayor and his good old boys are in cahoots with CRH, so if you ever want an alternative option to this hospital allowed in town, vote Mayor Lienhoop OUT! You also do have rights when it comes to ethical and transparent billing, so fight back. Don’t just pay a crazy bill because it’s sent to you.

I had surgery at CRH in August. Dr. A Golas was the surgeon. Living an 1.5 hours away and having never been to CRH I didn't know what to expect. Once there, we were greeted at the door and the staff on the surgery ward met us at the elevators. The entire staff were very helpful and kind, I felt very comfortable there. Great job to all who made my surgery and recovery a success!!

I went here for ultrasound and Ty was my technician. He was very polite and greeted me warmly and made the procedure very smooth. He also ensured me that my PCP would have the results electronically as well as in my MyCHART app. I arrived there quite early since I used bus #3 and I am glad the front desk clerk let me in and Ty was able to start my procedure sooner. The good thing about this hospital is that it is right on bus #3. The architectural design in this hospital is outstanding. I have lived in a bunch of cities so far and the architectural design in this hospital was very distinctive. Overall, the hospital was quiet on a Saturday noon and very clean. The sitting area in wait room offered very comfortable chairs. Before my appointment, I received a call to confirm about my basic information as well as change of my insurance. Overall, a very great experience here. The hospital is also connected to an ER inside it.

I went in for ankle surgery last Thursday. From the very moment I pulled up to the doors at 6am it was a comforting experience. I was greeted by the sweetest man at the door that helped guide us to where we needed to go. The nurses were all so nice and helpful. Nurse Michelle was an angel. Dr Scott Slivka did a wonderful job on my surgery.

Dr. Golas was my surgeon for the Roux En Y gastric bypass surgery on August 18th, 2020. I felt through the entire experience that he was rooting for me as much as I was! He was attentive and upbeat, informative and clear with instruction, and made me feel safe through the whole process. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Adam Golas and his entire staff!

my doctor talked to me with his eyes closed the whole time and when he did open them he didn't make eye contact at all. He pretty much acted like I was over reacting and really the closed eye thing was strange... I've NEVER had an experience like that until then. Not to mention it took 2 nurses alot of digging and 3 different sticks to get blood. The only nurse that was friendly and not stone faced and rude was the one who came into discharge me.

I had a surgery done at Columbus Regional by Dr. Golas. Dr. Golas is a very cheerful surgeon who puts his patients at ease. My experience with him was very pleasant. I had a laparoscopic surgery done by Dr. Golas. It turned out to be complicated but credit to Dr. Golas to persist with the laparoscopic and completing it successfully while taking extra time. Though I would never want to get a surgery done, but if I had to for another issue in the stomach/abdomen, section, I would not hesitate to have Dr. Golas operate on me. He was also very good with the follow up and made himself available for any questions or concerns. I would give five stars to him. Having said that, I was not happy with Columbus Regional. My surgery was scheduled earlier without checking with me and I found out about it during the pre-surgery prep call a day earlier. It threw off our plan in the afternoon as my surgery went longer than planned and the nurse kept checking with me on when would my wife pick me up.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! We had a child born here in January of 2019. They made us pay half of our bill through MyChart and half through the Business Services directly. The MyChart was easy and not a problem. What we had to pay through the billing service has been an absolute pain!!! My insurance company originally denied a claim but then we got them to approve and they let us know they paid it. The Business Service has still not updated our account and we are still being overcharged. They asked me to fax them the statement from my insurance company which I did. I waited for their response and eventually, two months later I had to call and their response was the original fax I sent was too blurry to read and I needed to send it again! Two months later! This has been a struggle dealing with this thing.

I have only lived in Indiana a couple of years and this was my first experience with a hospital, their ER & staff, subsequent surgery & that staff in this geographical area. I can say, without a doubt, that this has been the best medical treatment I have ever received. Dr. Golas was my surgeon. He's the best! Very personable & professional. Explained clearly everything, and what to expect before, during, & after my procedure. Appointment & surgery were both scheduled quickly and everything went like clockwork. He called me personally a few days after my surgery to check on me. It's a nice change to have a doctor who REALLY CARES about his patients. I would very highly recommend Dr. Golas and CRH.

A few weeks ago in the evening, I was having some severe abdominal pain. After a few hours, the staff at the ER determined that my appendix needed to be removed. By noon the next day, the surgery was complete, and I was able to return home that evening. From the ER staff to Adam Golas and his team, everything was handled promptly and professionally. In addition, Adam, my nurse(Emily), and all of the staff at Columbus Regional Health were sincerely kind and ensured I was as comfortable as possible. While having your appendix removed isn’t the most pleasant experience, if you must have it done, I recommend this team. Thankfully, I won’t have to do it again myself! Still, should I have any more medical problems, I’m going back to CRH.

Dr Golas was great, I was not so impressed with the hospital staff who once they found out I had recently been in China treated me like a plague victim. After 6 months I went to have my procedure at Columbus Regional a significant difference with how I was treated in Surgery compared to Endoscopy. The staff were welcoming and Knowledgeable, treated me with dignity and respect and looked after my wife while I was in surgery. The procedure itself went flawlessly, Doctor Golas is an outstanding Surgeon. The anesthetist did an excellent job, I felt in good hands with her and the surgical team. Coming out of the Surgery with the procedure a esophageal hernia you get a lot of shoulder pain, but was managed really well by the post op team. The ward staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for me. Overall my second experience was really good and I’m glad I decide to go to Columbus and not elsewhere. However I will have to decide if I will go to Endoscopy again that is still a sore memory

I had to have a hysterectomy done, and I must say every single staff member that helped me during my stay were amazing, especially one nurse in particular in tower 5, Cheryl. Cheryl was not only patient and understanding, she was incredibly compassionate and knew the anguish I was feeling after my procedure. I honestly can't thank her enough for being there for me when I needed it most, she's truly a blessing.

Yesterday, 1/14/2021 my husband and I got our first covid shots at the hospital vaccination facility on Keller Ave. The process was very well organized and efficient. Throughout the process all the staff were very caring and capable from the policeman who checked us in to the person who set up our second shot appointment. During a pandemic the covid testing should be taken seriously especially when the patient has heart disease and diabetes and other health issues but apparently not at columbus regional hospital. I had gotten a rapid test done on a Friday and on Monday still no answer. I had to call my doctor to find out that they left it in the bay and it never made it to the lab so now I have to repeat and hope this time it actually makes it to the lab. I do not recommend this place if you have other options.

The ER doctors, and Nurses were great to my fiancé. He was having tooth pain, and when he was greeted, he was greeted with a “what’s wrong with you.” He told them what was wrong, the receptionist said “That isn’t an excuse to be at the ER right now.” Understandable but his pain was unbearable. Then, was asking him about his tote bag, like that is not for you to ask about. The nurse and Doctor was amazing. And this is coming from a nurse (Me.) the receptionist wasn’t professional, as usually, and very rude to him.

Dr Adam Golas and his staff was awesome & very professional! I had some pain in my abdomen which we suspected it was hernias. Dr. Adam Golas had to do exploratory surgery to find out what was going on. While he was doing surgery on me he located several hernias and took his time (4hrs) repairing them. He even called me on his personal cell phone to check on me a day after my surgery. I definitely wasn't use to that! Out of a five star rating, I would give him and his staff ***** five stars!

I want to brag on Columbus Regional. I had outpatient surgery today and everyone I met was so nice! They took wonderful care of me, were patient with me when I started panicking about the surgery. To only evaluate my Vitamin D level, I had a lab test at 3202 Middle Road. The charges before insurance coverage were $199.00. A year ago, in January 2022, I had a complete blood test, including Vitamin D, for $95.00 before insurance coverage. Avoid this lab, if you do not want to lose your money.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. If you’re going to choose to work in the medical field , then at least make sure it’s something you ACTUALLY want to do & that you enjoy HELPING people. If someone comes to you about concern for their child’s life , especially a YOUNG child bleeding, why would you not do what you can to help them? I am so very confused and concerned. As someone who’s received terrible bedside manners with my own stays in a hospital , I can only imagine how p*seed off I would be if this happened to MY child. People would be losing their jobs , I can guarantee you that. I’m just disgusted at how some of the workers treat patients !!

The bald door greeter that couldn't make the cut at Walmart was very rude concerning the whereabouts of my loved one. Instead of producing any helpful information he just persisted that there are no visitors allowed. His attitude and demeanor were very unwelcoming. I've had better experiences with this hospital in the past so this was disappointing.

Dr. Golas is the BEST! Where do I start? I initially met Dr. Golas last year when my Gallbladder needed removed via emergency surgery. It was during that procedure that Dr. Golas found that I had an issue with my liver also. He simply gave me information on how I could live a fuller life with less medical issues if I was interested. So there is where my Bariatric surgery idea was birthed. I can say that I've never had such a kind and personable Dr. in all my life. He makes you feel so at ease and comfortable whether trying non-surgical methods or in going forward with my Bariatric surgery. I knew I was in good hands. He is fully knowledgeable, skilled, thorough, precise, friendly, family oriented, an excellent support to his patients. I would recommend him to any and all family or friends who were thinking of Bariatric surgery or otherwise. So thankful to have this gifted Dr. by my side....No worries included.....I am blessed!

I have contended with reflux, and a number of other related gastric issues, for 12 years. Dr. Golas performed a Nissen Fundoplication in hopes to resolve this. The results... better than I could have hoped for. Not only are my reflux issues gone, but a number of the other gastric issues have improved significantly as well. Dr. Golas was informative, patient and went out of his way to address my concerns and make me comfortable. I cannot recommend Dr. Golas and his practice enough. Thank you for the new lease on life!

I have had two surgeries with Dr Golus and his bedside manner is second to none. From the moment I had my initial meeting to the follow up visits after surgery Dr Golus was positive and made me feel very relaxed about the process. Everyone in the office has been warm and inviting while being there and the scheduled appointments were remarkably on time (although I’m not sure how since he gives so much individual attention). The hospital staff and accommodations were excellent and at no point did I ever feel any concern.

"Dr. Golas was absolutely amazing from the minute I met him. He took care of me as though I was his only patient. He quickly within hours on the same day, got to the root of my problem and then arranged for immediate care for me by another physician that treated the first issue. Dr. Golas follow up from that was amazing. A month later I had surgery and he even did it on his day off. He gave me the best care. He checked on me multiple times throughout my hospital stay. I was at total peace and comfort with him. I highly recommend Dr. Golas. He truly cares about his patients."

I was admitted to the hospital just before Christmas with extreme stomach pain. They were discussing emergency surgery but Dr. Golas was brought in and was able to find another solution. He is a very kind and competent Dr. I am very appreciative of Dr. Golas.

Good caring people. Went in at 1130pm for chest/back pain and they where very responsive. They helped ease the pain and I am thankful for their efforts!

Lots of beautiful things here. Great place to find unique gifts. Nice selection of candy and snacks too. Buy a cute bag and fill it with treats for your fabulous nurses!

My daughter had a mental health crisis due to depo provera shot and was in bad shape for more than a week. 6 trips to the ER and an evaluation at Community north in indy and nobody helped her at all!! We were at our wits end when St Francis sent her to this hospital because they have a mental health floor. Less than 24hrs later they have my daughter on the proper medication to address the issues and are giving her great care!! All of the nurses I have spoke to on the phone have been great! I thank God she is there and feel she is safe and being well cared for. Thank you Jesus for getting her there!

Dr. Degaulle Haile, MD and the nurses (I'm sorry I can't remember all their names) in the birthing center, were absolutely amazing! They took great care of my daughter and new granddaughter very well and answered questions with intellectual knowledge and they really know what their doing. My daughter Hemorrhaged after the placenta had been removed, if it wasn't for Dr. Haile and the great staff's promt care, my daughter could have bled out. The nurses were thoughtful, caring and kind and if you girls see this, I think all of you deserve a HEFTY raise. As for the hospital itself, I understand the precaution of Covid, but I do believe they are taking it a bit overboard. The rooms aren't the most updated, however they aren't the worst either. The furniture they have for the other person staying with a patient are awful. The chair/bed is hard and very uncomfortable to sleep on. For the person staying multiple days, they really need something someone can actually sleep on without waking up with an extreme backache. Maybe a cot? I remember when hospitals used to have rollaway beds. The food as it always has been in hospitals is terrible. They do charge for the attending extra person, but the prices really aren't that bad. All in all, an amazing experience. Thank you to everyone!

My son fell at the park and quit using his arm, went to CRH to make sure it wasn't broke, they did an x-ray and told me he had a clean break in his wrist. They put a temp cast on and we went to Columbus orthopedics the very next day, the doctor there told me that there was no breaks anywhere on his arm and the guy that took the xray at the hospital should not be taking xrays because he's not trained to do so. He said CHR's radiologist doesnt reside in indiana so he is gone a lot of the time and they pull whoever to read x-rays, even if they aren't qualified to do so I guess. So now I'm stuck with a $1500 bill, because "I paid for the service, not the outcome of the service" lol not my first bad experience with them. Overall, the staff, the hospital just super unpleasant and not very professional. Really wish there was another hospital in Columbus.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Golas! My surgery experience was top notch. Dr. Golas was very professional, knowledgeable and so helpful. Wonderful bedside manner. Follow up went very well. Attention to detail was second to none. I will always recommend Dr.Golas. He made certain to me that if I had any problems, questions, or concerns that I contact him anytime. I'm thankful for the kind, cheerful, positive, doctor who took such good care of me.

Staff is terrible. Mostly young, disrespectful and inconsiderate nurses. The friendliest person I have met there by far is one of the janitorial staff, such a very nice man. Nearly impossible to get a doctor to come see you once out of the ER.

Had an MRI. Everything went very well. Everyone involved did an excellent job of making me comfortable. I didnt realize how claustophobic I had become in my older years but they went above and beyond to help me get thru it. And I had the results on My Chart that same evening! Thanks to all...

It has to be one of the worse hospitals that are open right now. Not enough staff to go around. I never got my food on time or what I ordered. Never seen a house keep during my stay.

😠 I’ve been to Riverside 3 times in less than a year, each time to accompany a sick relative. Avoid this hospital at all costs, go to Ohio State. The staff seems not concerned with the patients whatsoever, you’re treated like a burdensome file and not a human being. If you speak up nurses get annoyed...
