😠 The absolute slowest service on the planet! It should not take a minimum of 5 hours to be seen for a broken hand!!! The staffs was polite but I mean honestly you will die waiting before any kind of trauma takes you! People often mention hospital, staff, pain, doctor, care, time, hours, times, experience, feel,

They can't tell the difference between a rolled ankle and a sprained ankle. Makes sense why KCH is one of the worst ranked hospitals in the country

Just to start, it took THREE visits to the ER with incapacitating pain before a specialist finally saw me and gave me a correct diagnosis (the ER doctor all three times got it wrong.) Then, the specialist did a great job but his hands were tied because he had to follow "hospital policies" that led to 1) an extra surgery, because one wasn't successful, 2) an extra day in the hospital, 3) missed drugs, and 4) a doctor that LIED about test results in order to try to keep me an additional night. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!!!

Dr. Dahiya is incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. People like him are the reason why people are scared to go to the hospital. Made my whole experience horrible, which is sad because the rest of the staff were very polite and comforting.

I was sent to Knox Hospital for a neurology test. I am a person of size and I must say, I was disappointed that there were no provisions for a large person in the waiting area on the 5th floor. I was also provided a gown to put on that was a small gown and wouldn't even go up my arm. I sat waiting on the doctor half uncovered. When the doctor arrived, I asked if a gown was even necessary and he said no. I was able to put my shirt on and there was no reason what so ever that I would have even needed to change. It was a test on my wrist and I wore a shirt with short sleeves. Personal in the service industry need to be attentive to those they are serving and understand that there is not a one size fits all in seating or in gowns.

I Had total knee replacement on 6/19/19 by Dr. Greg Cush. I was one of his previous patients from his Chillicothe office and I followed him to Knox co. He did a great job and took great care of me. I stayed one night on 6th floor and All the staff were great. I’m only 50 years old so I didn’t need as much attention as some but staff were super and very attentive and kind. All the staff from registration / Nurses / PT / OT and aids were super. I chose Dr Greg Cush that is 2.5 hours away from home because I knew him and knew he would take great care of me. I will always choose him for my ortho needs even 2.5 hours from home. His office staff are also great. Thanks to all staff. Tracey Pullins-Hughes

I’ve been volunteering here since January this year. This is like a dream come true for me. I love everyone here. I feel like I really fit in and belong here. I don’t mind saying this. I have Down syndrome and proud of it.

I was charged lab fees for a routine blood panel, which I have been having done to check my diabetes for the last fifteen years. My insurance covers this service 100%. But because I went in to be established as a new patient along with my yearly wellness check, Dr. Carroll’s office would not code my visit for a wellness exam. Therefore, I was charged almost $700 for lab fees. I fought with his office for months regarding the problem. I even contacted my insurance company in what I should do. They advised Dr.Carrolls office that it had been coded incorrectly but he still would not adjust the code. This was my first experience with Knox Community Hospital. Unfortunately, this has made me question whether I can fully trust their network to look out for my best interest.

Went in for an incapacitating chest pain and the wait time to even get any tests was over 4 and a half hours, then they did unnecessary testing dor something not related to my visit, which just further added to time and the ridiculous bill. Basically paying them to do nothing but make you wait, nice staff and clean place but absolutely horrible wait times and service

Dr. Carroll remains a wonderful doctor. He is very attentive, genuinely concerned, knowledgeable, and talks with you on such a way that all matters are very clearly communicated to both sides. I’m very pleased to have him as my doctor.

I came to the hospital for hip replacement. Everyone was nice and helpful. Nurse Shelly on the 6th floor and nurses aid Susan were to concerned with something other than patients. I had to wait 6 hours before I could pain meds, then again 5 1/2 hours for the next. She was rude to me and told me I could only pill form of pain meds. I get that if she would have on time. Susan had me up walking and I thought I was in the military again.

KCH has grown and has lost its focus on the patient. As I entered the pavilion I was lost. There was no one to explain how to get where I was going. I made it through the help of another patient. Once I got to the correct department the receptionist was far less than welcoming. Now I'm into my second week of waiting on NJ no in scheduling. The doctor being busy I understand but he can be scheduled far in advance. Columbus is a longer drive but it may be worth it.

My appointment was handled very professionally by Dr Thurman and his wonderful staff. They are incredible. It was nice to see that possibly the medical people are in charge of the facility once again, as wearing of face masks is optional ( anyone thinking wearing a face mask will prevent a virus has overlooked the scientific data on the size of a virus).

I absolutely hate going to KCH whenever I have to go get seen, KCH has become a bandaid hospital, there has been many many many times I’ve been here and I have been poked at least 12 different times before they had to call the PICC team to get my labs, I would even cry and say I’ve had enough and I’d still get poked anyways. Don’t you think 12 times is a bit excessive? Then my arms and hands would be super bruised from the amount of times I had been poked. The only good experience I have at KCH, is when I see my OBGYN Dr Sullivan, or my birthing experience at the birthing center was amazing. But other than that i think I’d rather drive to Westerville to be seen than come to the KCH emergency room anymore. Many times I have left feeling uncared for, like I was just another number, or that the nurses or doctors didn’t care. Or because of an experience I had as a kid from a nurse being extremely rude disrespectful to me when I was struggling just struggling with depression and needed a kind person at the time has also made me hesitate to come here.

If I could give a lower rating I would. It is amazing that someone can have chest pain and abnormal lipid levels and be told by the person who schedules test, you must pay your 1500.00 before I set up your test time. I am not even private pay, I have insurance. Looking at the mission, vision, and values statement, I would say the financial beliefs on the vision statement is the one that guides this hospital. I guess the accredited chest pain center is for patients with money. Truly wishing there was a better option in the community!

This was a mess. The cardiologist said he “couldn’t read my ekg” it was “above his pay grade” yet I was charged for him to not be able to read it and be referred to another specialist then I was billed for it and for an appointment for my daughter that had my name on the bill not mine. In addition they billed the wrong insurance more than once. It was such a mess that i canceled a follow up appointment with Dr McKinley just so I wouldn’t have to deal with the horrendous billing department.

I always go to the ER feeling like a burden, especially if I’m not in crazy pain, but sometimes you have to go with your gut and figure out if it’s right, or not! I’ve been here twice. Yes, you have to be patient, things aren’t immediate all the time, I try to go in expecting that when I go (I’d like to note that the first time I went they made sure to ask if I needed any pain relief, and asked a few times to make sure.) I went yesterday on recommendation from my doctor for a possible serious explanation to my symptoms. Every single person I met was easy-going and kind, and NEVER made me feel like a burden once! From the registration people, to the nurses, doctor, to the pharmacist, and ultrasound tech- each one was easy to talk to and it just made the unwanted ER trip so much easier. And this has actually been my experience both times I have gone.

We moved from Akron down to South Central Ohio so we had to find all new doctors and we have many including a cardiologist my husband needed they have all been very professional is it very clean and friendly hospital very few wait times in any of the offices. Well my husband was in ICU he had a lot of great nurses helping him out when he had the stents put in. I split my leg out last year and the orthopedic surgeon here is just out of this world I also have a GI doctor and a pulmonologist here... I have no complaints so far about this place. They listen to your needs and they get the testing they feel fits your situation promptly.

Absolutely the worst hospital experience you could ever have. My wife came in at 9am with severe abdominal pain and was not seen until at least noon where she laid in a hospital bed in the hallway until midnight when they finally gave her a room. She then proceeded to not have any help or updates for hours and often ordered food that never showed up. After being discharged without any diagnosis she was advised to set up a follow up which was canceled for weeks. Today we showed up for her colonoscopy that we finally got scheduled for 10 am and now it’s been 2 hours of waiting for this procedure to happen with no update at all. I would never in my life recommend this hospital to anyone even if their life depended on it. This hospital should be ashamed.

Very rude personal at this hospital. No one seems to know what is going on at this hospital. You call and they tell you the wrong things. I have went there several years and it just keeps getting worse with the competence. I am now going to go to another hospital for my care I do not trust Knox to be able to help me.

Buy some perverse twisted logic they do everything they can to keep people from getting a Covid test. Furthermore costs In general have been seven or more times higher than the other nearby hospitals. Wait times are extraordinarily long. Are usually wait an hour for a pediatrics appointment. Everything about this hospital is completely unacceptable

Can’t say enough good things about my recent KCH ER visit that turned into an icu visit, a life flight helicopter ride to Riverside hospital, and open heart surgery. I can only imagine the outcome if the ER had sent me home as my heart attack pain stopped one I arrived at KCH.

I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but dealing with Knox since February has been the worst time. Their emergency department personnel were less than caring towards my boyfriend who presented with two shattered feet, he was laughed at when he told the triage people he broke his ankles, he was treated like an annoyance when he was in so much pain he couldn’t keep quiet, it took 3 hours for a provider to come talk to us about our request to be transferred to our orthopedics in Columbus resulting in more time the blood flow to his left foot was compromised along with his nerves. Now 7 months later we’re still having the worst time with the financial department. After 2 months of calling and leaving messages with no returns regarding financial aid or payment plan set up they’ve simply ignored and sent to collections. I wouldn’t stop at this hospital if it was the only in the state.

I had to have blood work done. I specifically requested that the lab results be sent to the VA clinic, in Newark, as well as my requesting doctor. This was NOT done. However, the young lady that took my blood was VERY good. I didn't even feel her put the needle in my arm. I asked her how long she had been doing this and she said not very long. She had only been at KCH for a few months. I think she has a great future in the medical field.

Dr. Kathleen Rogers (dermatology) is incredible. She took her time with me, explained things, and got testing done for me that got me an answer for a skin condition I've had for years that no other Dr. ever had an answer for. Her and her nurse are both so kind and put me at ease immediately. I appreciate them so much for their care for me, right here in our hometown of Mt. Vernon.

Pediatric doctor, Dr. Basil is extremely friendly and always has a smile on her face. She takes the time to listen to our concerns and addresses them accordingly. She offers advice when appropriate and never pushes things on us. We are extremely happy with the care for our newborn and are switching our daughter to her in the near future from a different doctor not at this location. We have also seen the other two pediatric doctors at this location and want to add that ALL of them are extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well.

Hi Dr. Crawford, You are treating a life long friend of mine. THarstine. She has noting but amazing things to say about you! Her family was there for me for many years in ways and on many levels I could never thank them for. Theresa is like a sister and you have given her more than your medical expertise. HOPE! Theresa has been a part of my family for so many yeas. There are not words to express how thankful and great-full I am for your incredible support for her condition, but more for her social emotional well being. Life brings angels into our lives unaware, you are that for her! You epitomize what the medical profession should emulate! Thankful! I HOPE you and your family have the most Incredible Holiday Season!

My previous experiences, with hospitals, has never been positive experiences, due to, either, overall care or lack of empathy from staff. With KCH, my experience was complete opposite. I had outpatient surgery and the care I received was tender, caring, and supportive. The staff was attentive and compassionate. They made sure my needs were addressed and my questions answered. I understand people’s experiences are subjective, however, my experience was positive from pre surgery to aftercare.

I came to the ER by squad. I had great care. They explained everything they were going to be doing. I ended up being admitted for 2 days. They were all so good to me including ER staff, lab staff, x-ray staff, nursing staff, housekeeping and cafeteria staff. I am glad I lived so close to KCH.

We had an appointment today for 10am to have a IV port out in. Two hours later the IV nurse finally arrives, not friendly and states, “I wasn’t able to put one in her last time, I doubt I can today”. I asked her how many attempts she would do, she stated “one”. Three attempts later I’m happy to say she had successfully put the port in. Now it’s after one and we needed to be home by three. I asked how long it would take to infuse and the nurse hadn’t read the order yet, the Med wasn’t on the floor yet and the pharmacy hadn’t even prepared the Med yet. I felt that I had to push them along in order to get home on time. I have no idea why the Med wasn’t already prepared, on the floor and in the room the moment the port was in. The later it was the more stressful it became. It’s my hope that the hospital staff reads this review and hopefully are more prepared and improve their customer service with their customers in the future.

KCH IS GREAT, they are very caring bunch, clean, I feel we have the best hosiptal, everyone should be proud and feel lucky we have a nice clean hospital with a lot of specialty doctors, most small towns don't have a hosipital I Like all my doctors at KCH wanted all my doctors at KCH but I wouldn't recommend NARENDRANATH LAKSHMIPATHY, MD to my worst enemy, I need a pain doctor though I hate to leave town once again for a doctor. So I'm just dealing with my back pain as best as I can.

I have recently moved to the area from Dublin, Ohio. I had broken my foot. I have had several visits with the orthopedic surgeon there as well as an ER visit. My issue is with the billing! The bills are constantly wrong! They are miscoded to their advantage! I have had to go back and work through my insurance company on every bill! How many other people does this Hospital do this to and it is not caught?? What a terrible way to dupe the public of hard earned money. I have attempted to work with my insurance company as I believe this Hospital is working fraudulently. Consumers, please check every bill from this place!! They miscode your service to dupe you and your insurance company out of money!!!! I will never return for services.

The doctor had told my husband he would come in to see me and talk to me then he just left because his shift over and never came back and then I was given to another guy who has no idea what was going on,I was trying to explain how much pain I was with him and how I couldn't take care of myself and he told me you're drinking water you're taking care of yourself. I came in was agonizing pain and I left with agonizing pain. and times like these I feel like doing suicide cause I feel helpless with this pain I even told them this and this didn't help me. Also if you're coming at night for agonizing pain they won't help you they won't give you any pill to help you with it let you be in pain. Not to mention they don't send your message to your pharmacy the paper yourself like they've lived in the 1980s.some of Nurse's were kind, they were the only good thing. But not worth the bill they are putting on me. I also waited in the lobby even though I came though ambulance, and waited two and half hours to be in the room then another two hours, I know someone who wait 3 hours so I guess I'm lucky. Moral of this go to a different hospital even if it's going to take an hour cuz it's probably faster than them.

Took my wife to er, doctor was rude very unprofessional. He acted like he was put out to do ct scan . Then billing dept would call and we was unable to talk to them when you push to speak to them it would hang up. Never able to speak to them . Then they sent to collection . Then collection said they would still put on credit if we did payment plan , only way to stop it from going on credit was pay the entire billl . Discounted amount Was about 100. Cheaper So we paid it and we will never set foot in there again . And I would not go there if I was you! !

If I could give 0 stars, I would! It's now been 8 days since I asked for my prescription renewal, and three days I've had to go without my medication. I've called fifteen times in the past two days and been told that it would be done, and it still isn't done. I can't imagine why they don't take the health of their patients seriously enough to give them access to their medication! Go to a different doctor if you want to be treated like your health matters. If you want to be treated like you're a number helping their bottom line, go here.
