Went to urgent care on Saturday night due to my 1 year old daughter having a high fever and was told she was just teething. I told the doctor that she had an ear infection a month prior and was worried that she may have another due to the similar symptoms. Was told her ears looked perfect and was sent on my way. (A simple google search will tell you that teething doesn't produce temperatures much above 100). This fever continued Sunday and took my daughter to her doctor at Mary Rutan Pediatrics and was quickly found out that she had an ear infection and was given the medication needed (Thank you Mary Rutan Pediatrics). Will not be returning to this urgent care again as all they did was worry me that something else was going on with my daughters health.

Wava Young refused to assess me when I showed up covered in bruises. She said 'that's not any of my business' when I told her I was assaulted by Kenton Police. This was 2 years ago. I had to go to another Urgent Care to be treated. I was assured by Kristin Yoder, the director of nursing, that the situation would be addressed and that Wava would be held accountable. Fast forward to my next visit and Wava forced herself into the room after I said I do not want to be treated by her. She then pointed at the door and told me to get out when I went to the nurse station. It seems Mary Rutan has a problem with patients who approach the nurse station. This is ridiculous and Wava Young should not be practicing medicine and Kristin Yoder obviously never took care of the situation if it keeps happening.

Went to this hospital a few years back. When i went i was have high fever of up to 103 and unable to swallow anything. The doctor told me ice cream and milk will help bring my temperature down and help with the sore throat. Being a 3 tour veteran i instantly knew that was wrong because of my high temperature it would cardel and cause vomiting on top of what i was already having. After i confronted the doctor with this she paused for a moment and agreed with me. They offered no help and tried to make me sicker then i was.

I did not want to go to Urgent care, but because of my own stupidity of spilling boiling water (accidently) down my legs, I ended up with severe burns. Turned out, I had 2nd degree. The doctors and nurses were fantastic. They were so gentle with my legs gave me the proper treatment and I was in and out in less then an hour. I am just under a week from the burn and healing nicely.

I was able to get in and be seen for a foot injury fairly quick. The staff was very nice and attentive. I hope I don't need to visit an urgent care anytime soon. If I did. I would choose this location!

I would give them 6 stars if I could. Just a wonderful experience when I was really struggling with my Asthma.. From the moment I entered till the moment I left. This place was filled with the nicest most professional people you could ever hope for. I hope I never get sick but if I do, this will be where I go. They went above, an beyond for me. An with Covid 19 out there.. you hope you are going into a safe inviroment. This is the benchmark of safety. I really can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you for everything you are doing.. I can't tell you just how much I appreciate it..

Awful experience. My daughter is running a high fever and i quickly get told she’s teething and sent on my way. A quick google search told me that teething wouldn’t produce a fever like she had. I then take her to her doctor as soon as possible and they were able to quickly find the issue and provide the treatment needed. Horrible service at Mary Rutan Urgent Care and will not be back

We visited Mary Rutan Urgent Care while out of town and our daughter needed medical attention. The medical staff were friendly and attentive and we were in and out of the appointment quickly. The only reason I took off one star is because we had the medication sent directly to the in-house pharmacy and the wait time there was far too long for how many staff were working. They do not seem to have a good process flow and were backlogged.

It really depends on who you are seen by. I’ve had good care, decent care, and absolutely horrible care. The last time was not so great. It seems to be a trend with this particular care giver. The nurses on the other hand have always been great.

I went in because I had been having stomach pains and diarrhea for a few days. My daughter tested positive for strep, and a couple days later my throat started getting scratchy, my ear started to hurt, and I had a headache. I had Wava come into the room and told her these things. I told her I was a substitute teacher and I wanted to make sure I was not contagious, as I cancelled a job that day for preschoolers. She did not check my throat or my ears. She mainly focused on my stomach. She did not test me for anything. She instead told me to rest for 24 hours and drink a lot of fluids….since she did not test me for strep and I didn’t know if I was contagious, I cancelled my next day of work. Between those two days I lost $250. I ended up going to another clinic the next day and found out I was negative for strep but I did have an ear infection, so I was written a prescription for an antibiotic. I was severely disappointed in my treatment at the urgent care and I am not recommending people go there when there are other locations to choose from nearby.

I’m sad you can only give them 5 stars. I have never walked out of an urgent care in a good mood. I am from Lima and they are usually so mean there but since I’m in this area, it was my first time there and if I ever need an urgent care I’ll make the drive from wapak. That is how happy I was they were so freaking nice and quick also. And honestly thank you for being so kind.

I jist called and tried to ask what they charge and the lady working would not say. She kept responding "it depends on your insurance" I then asked what they will bill my insurance and she again said "It depends on your insurance" Finally i just hung up because they are hiding their prices. I called Urbana's Memorial urgant care and they gave me the price immediatly. It is 120 a visit before insurance. Do not go to a medical facility that will not tell you what they charge. They have freedom to bill you what ever they want

We had such a great experience at Mary Rutan Urgent Care. We felt extremely safe as all precautions were taken upon our arrival. Every nurse and doctor we interacted with were so great with my four year old. We were diagnosed and out the door in less than 30 minutes.

dr. wava young has no idea what she is doing. the first 2 times we had to deal with her she misdiagnosed. the 3rd time we went in hoping to not see her but of course we got stuck with her. we went for our 2 year old with a ear infection, she checked one ear because she couldn't get him to sit still and didn't ask for help, the ear she checked was the wrong one anyway. she said it was fine and sent us home. we got a second opinion and as soon as they looked at his ears they said it was obvious he has an ear infection. If we ever return to Mary Rutan urgent care will we refuse to see her. Ive also heard bad things about her from multiple different people.

My thinking is if you're a Urgent Care, why are you not open on Christmas Eve to help your Emergency room? I never cared for you and now my thinking of Mary Rutan affiliated places suck on every form!! Thanks for taking for your own needs and not the community!!

3 hours waiting to be told. Nothing we can give you to help. Go to the store and buy over the counter mods. A true waste of time and money

At sign-in, I was less than impressed as the intake clerk did not seem very warm in personality. I did feel, however, that the patient flow moved at a very good pace. Once settled into my room, I was thrilled that I was fortunate enough to be treated by the same two care providers as the last time I visited Urgent Care. Scott and Katie were just as warm, genuine, and wonderful as the last visit.

We have been to the Mary Rutan urgent care for multiple reasons over the past couple of years, varying from visits for a COVID test to a sprained ankle to strep throat and more. Every single time we have been there, the experience is exceptional from start to finish. The check-in staff is friendly and quick. Our wait is never long. The nurses are thorough and kind. Registration comes in while waiting for the doctor or test results which is extremely efficient. And the doctors have been friendly, thorough, and wonderful to both myself and my kids every time. I highly recommend utilizing the Mary Rutan Urgent Care!

The entire experience was fast and efficient. Everyone was kind and considerate and you could tell they knew who to take care of us first. There were two children who came after me that got seen first which I thought was great! I was still out of there in 15 mins. My Nurse Practitioner Wava was top notch.

The nursing staff and receptionist were wonderful. However, when I have children sick for over a week and I call to get them in to their actual pediatrician and am told that their are never any appointments available. I then am forced to take my children to urgent care were we are told it is a cold virus or seasonal allergies. Is extremely frustrating !!! My children are going to be going to children's urgent care today because they have had no improvement and actually are worse. I think Mary Rutan is a joke anymore in providing any type of care to this community. They are good with taking your money and charging your insurance to tell you you child who has been sick for a week. Has seasonal Allergies!!!

Check in staff was rude. Doctor told me there was nothing urgent about me since I had been since for 7 days. Said he wasn't going to check my ears since he wasn't a ENT. Then said I should of seen my family doctor or went to ER to have my ears checked Told him that that would of been a waste of time for that because he won't even just look in my ears to see about why they were ringing so loud. He then got off his stool and looked in my ears and sure enough full of fluid he prescribed a steroid and sent me on my way. Very rude won't be going back to this urgent care. Pharmacy staff was super nice and respectful just with the medical staff was more respectful. No not recommend.

I came in with my daughter on a very busy Monday morning. Despite how incredibly swamped the staff was, they all remained composed, compassionate, and provided quick quality care. Brandy is always so wonderdul with my kids, and NP Scott was quick and to the point, yet didnt make us feel rushed on unheard. Thanks Everyone!

They were extremely busy so I had to wait which was understandable. I was impressed that I saw an M.D. I was treated nicely, not hurried, got a diagnosis, got my meds at attached pharmacy all this in a timely matter after I was taken to a room. Thank you for helping me feel better.

Excellent care. Friendly staff& Drs. Also urgent care called next day to check on me. That is very nice. I’m 77 & live alone it’s nice to know someone is checking up on me when I’m not feeling well

I didn't have to wait long to be seen. Dr. Shillings helped me to feel more comfortable even with my pain. He was able to quickly diagnose what was wrong & a plan for it to heal.

Went in for a knee injury. I could hardly walk. The nurse spent approximately 3 minutes in the room. Touched my knee twice. Slapped a brace on it, then left. No images despite me telling them I tore my meniscus. Over all a waist of time, and I am still in horrible pain.

Orthopedics & Sports medicine…very unprofessional and lack a sense of urgency. My son has a chipped hip. We waited 2 weeks to get an mri, another 3 weeks to get the results, another week for a follow up appointment with the doctor. Showed up 30 minutes late to an appointment because I had the wrong time and they wouldn’t see him. Had to schedule out another week to get an appointment again. Pray for no permanent damage, because the doctors sure aren’t doing anything.

The dr was actually in the room for less than 30 seconds! I had an issue with my eye all swollen a lot of pain an all she said was yes it red I’ll give u an antibiotic an then left the room. I have always had good experiences with Mary rutan but this time I was extremely disappointed

There is some good and bad with this place. The bad news is they are closed for every Holiday and some days leading to Holidays. This seems to be common here in Ohio which is strange, where I'm from all Urgent Care facilities are open 365. To me this is one of the top two reasons you use Urgent care. Reason one your doctor's office is closed or can't get you in right away, and reason two its a Holiday so there isn't anywhere else to go except the ER. The good news is The Facility is nice and weight times are very short. Staff is friendly and everyone is helpful.

I was welcomed in and referred promptly. Each nurse, doctor was exceptional and professional. My visit was not time consuming. I then picked up my medicine and returned home. All of that is appreciated as I just felt terrible. Thank u.

Fast, caring, and smooth visit! It felt like I was being taken care of by family members. Had to get 8 stitches and I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Very clean facility. Every one of the workers, Nurses, and PA’s I dealt with had a genuine smile on their face. Highly recommend them!

I took my son to the new urgent care building a few months ago. My son is on the autism spectrum and was NOT the least bit happy about being at the doctor. His anxiety was high and he was lashing out. The nurses and staff were absolutely wonderful. They did everything the could to make the process and quick and easy as possible. Their patience with my son meant the world to me. Thank you!

RN's were excellent. Unfortunately the Doctor seemed like he was in a bad mood and condescending. Did not appreciate being given masks to wear at the door. Doctor gave an ultimatum to give my wife treatment for her breathing problem; take a covid test or there was nothing they could do. The doctor interregated me about why I questioned this treatment and tried to pit me against my wife; very disrespectful. I have had better service from a high schooler at a fast food drive thru than I have had with this doctor. Very dissatisfied with him. Nurses however were excellent as always! 4.5 stars if not for the meany pants doctor!

The wait was not long. The environment was clean and new. Reception and nurses were competent, present and articulate. My doctor was stellar. I felt well cared for after having a very bad experience at another urgent care for the same issue. I can’t recommend this place more.

Receptionist was very friendly and wait time to be seen was minimal. Attending nurse was very pleasant and other nurse who gave chest x-ray was very efficient. Doctor explained everything very well and in a short time. Next door pharmacy to pick up prescription was very convenient.

Overpriced poor service. I think they fill their survey cards out themselves. Go anyplace but here. If you have decent insurance why would you go to Mary Rutan? Last resort, a vet could treat you better and at less of a cost.

I was treated well. However, I was handed a form after i was bitten by my grandsons dog (it was not a vicious attack and i have nothing against the dog.) Anyway, I was handed a form and was told "it was standard form after a dog bite. It would not be reported it was just a requirement.' I WAS DECIEVED! I received a letter from Champaign county concerning the dog bite. I want to know the truth. 1) Was the care provider mistaken when she said it was not going to be reported. 2) Was the care provider lying when she said it was not going to be reported. 3) Is there another possibility? I do not appreciate being lied to or intestinally misinformed, however you wish to put it. Please respond in a follow-up.

I got a big splinter in my hand. I thought I removed it but there was a bump left behind and severe pain. The NP didn't think it was good to remove it but let it absorb and gave antibiotics. It is now red, swollen, and still extremely painful. I can't do anything with my left hand now. I'm not sure how long it takes for a foreign object to absorb, but at this rate I will not be able to do anything this summer! I just wanted it cut out and stitches put in! Now I'm just suffering because I don't want another bill and am afraid anywhere I go won't help me!

I got there just as they opened and didn’t have to wait very long to be seen. Everyone from the person who checked me in at the desk to the nurse who checked me out at the end were very nice and professional. The on-site pharmacy is a great feature and my prescriptions were ready right away. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and would not hesitate to visit again.
