Ohio Stadium is a historic landmark and the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. The stadium has a rich history and is an iconic symbol of the university. It was fascinating to learn about the different traditions and events that have taken place within its walls over the years. The atmosphere at Ohio Stadium was electric. The stadium is also conveniently located on the university's campus, making it easily accessible for students and visitors alike. Overall, Ohio Stadium is a must-visit for any college football fan. The combination of rich history and a great atmosphere make it an unforgettable experience.

What a great stadium! Ohio Stadium is the home of The Ohio State Buckeyes football team! It is located on banks of the Olentangy River (and the campus). 2022 marks the 100th anniversary. A new turf has been added for the opening game of #2 Ohio State hosting #5 Notre Dame. Whether you are going to the stadium for the first time or hundred time, youโ€™re in awe! AKA The Shoe

Disappointed that we couldn't get any picture of the football field. There were several or of town guest trying to get pictures as well. We did the best we could for pictures. If could view the stadium would definitively have given 5 stars

What a great place to see a college football game. The whole vibe is incredible. 100,000+ people is hard to imagine AND itโ€™s very loud at times. I donโ€™t think thereโ€™s a bad seat anywhere in the stadium. But what is bad is the entrance process. 3-4 metal detectors right by the gates and youโ€™re trying to squeeze in 8-10,000 people. Itโ€™s unrealistic and not handled well. More detectors might help. Maybe a routing system to help with congestion? It doesnโ€™t get any better inside. Limited food and drink stands - I saw several that were closed. We wasted an entire quarter just trying to get sodas and dogs. Thereโ€™s got to be a better way. Even the drink-only stations I saw werenโ€™t even open.

Home of the Buckeyes, the 3rd largest stadium in the United States at capacityโ€ฆ if you are a fan of the Wisconsin Badgers like I am and was at this gameโ€ฆ please save your money and donโ€™t go if you want a good game, it just wonโ€™t happen ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Other than that, was a fantastic atmosphere, loud, passionateโ€ฆ I could only imagine what itโ€™s like during a game against Michigan, I bet itโ€™s nuts ๐ŸŒฐ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚! Lots of kind fans, few hammered whacks like every college, definitely got to get here at some point!

There's no place like the Ohio State University football stadium for anyone who likes football! As someone who grew up going to OSU games with Dad, then went to school here, it's part of your life's best memories. Unfortunately, we can't go to the games this year and be in the stadium. Miss those fun Saturdays - the OSU marching band (the greatest!), the crowd, the whole atmosphere. โ˜น๏ธ But what a great place this stadium is!!

The Ohio Stadium was amazing! Yesterday was my first time there, but I have been around the perimeter during the summer. So, anyways, it was awesome. The Stadium is HUGE. As for safety, when we entered everyone was inspected and there were lots of police the whole time. I felt very safe. The Stadium had good food (although the prices were kinda crazy!! $4 for a bottled water!) I was at the OSU homecoming game, so the homecoming court, king, and queen, were announced. The big boards worked well and the quality overall was amazing! We won against Michigan State 34-10. I hope you enjoy your time there! ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ๏ธ๐ŸŸ๏ธ

I was intimidated at first by even the thought of getting in and out of this massive stadium. To my surprise, it wasn't hard at all and everyone was very nice and helpful. I parked over on 11th Street (behind Barnes and Noble) and enjoyed about a 15 min walk through campus. (Which was surprisingly pretty) Aside from paying $6 for a bottle of water I loved everything about the experience. Using all electronic transactions made lines move along quickly. Bathrooms were clean too!

The stadium had a lot to offer and had elevators thank God, but we never had concessions in our section until last call for the concert that lasted almost 7 hours! Very steep stairs so make sure you look at the seating chart when you purchase tickets.

Attended the Buckeye Country Superfest with George Strait, Chris Stapleton, Little Big Town and Warren Zeiders. Fantastic show that ran about eight hours. Sadly our tickets sat us on the visitors side with our rumps suffering on the metal bench all of those hours. Great views, otherwise and I don't fault the venue (although forbidding guests from bringing cushions seems a tad mean-spirited to me). The stadium was a capacity crowd too!

The plan was to go to Buffalo NY, to view Niagara Falls and cross over to Canada, but when you fly free on standby seating is limited and we ended up in Columbus Ohio by Default. However, it Turned out to be the Best day ever, because Superfest was happening at the Ohio Stadium that day and We were able to get concert tickets to see George Strait, Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town. It was meant to be! I tried getting tickets in Texas, but the prices were outrageous $600+ for nosebleed seats. So it was another year of not seeing him or knowing Iโ€™d never probably see king George in concert. Overall the Stadium itself was good, but to be honest We didnโ€™t go and explore it. Seemed to have plenty of restrooms and concessions. I did notice the merchandise line was super long and what seemed to be in the way of a concession stand. It was confusing which line was what. The walk to the Stadium seemed super far, but the police officers were quick guiding continuance movement. Overall a great experience!!

We took the family for the spring game. It was a terrific time. If you're reading this review you probably want to know a few specific things...so. The food was great. We tried the pizza, and the Chicago style dogs. We also purchased a refillable suevinier cup for fountain drinks. I felt prices were reasonable, especially for a sporting event. Bathrooms were easily accessible. Be aware that there is an in and out door, but most people didn't pay too much attention.

The city does an amazing job with traffic control. I rarely sit in long traffic even with over 100,000 people coming and going. Is the stadium old? Yes. But it is historic and a great place to watch a game.

We came to see Buckeye Fest and it was terrific!!! Stadium was grand from outside , but from insideโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ. One of the dirtiest stadiums Iโ€™ve ever visited!!!!! Donโ€™t get me wrong , I know 50, 000 people will do that . They were totally under staffed . Bathrooms, weโ€™re almost unusable!!!! There just seemed to an โ€œout of controlโ€ ness to the air at times . When Were waiting in line and they told you they were out of cokes, or the next line were you waited another hour and 15 mins to find out they canโ€™t ring you up .

Was a good experience. We where there for a concert. The free refills where fantastic if the line was not so long. A few extra machines would go along way. Everything is priced like you would expect. Plenty of food and drink options. The Memorabilia sales counters could be set up in tents as well as the booths to keep down the lines some.

What a great day spent with my father-in law watching the Buckeyes!! My only complaint is that the elevators were not operating and my 77 year old father in law was having an excruciating time making it up the many flights of stairs to the "C" deck. This was my 1st time at the stadium and had no idea how many stairs were there for him to climb.

Went here for a concert. I was overcharged for my tickets- seats were deemed "partial view" after I bought them and they sold for far less than I paid. There was mass confusion on seating due to the row numbers on the steps causing people to sit 1 row higher. Multiple arguments arose over what wasn't even good seats.

First time with seats in the Club section of the 'Shoe. Great view of the stage for the concert. Staff inside were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were nice, though there're never enough stalls to handle the rush at intermission or at the end of the concert. Good selection of beverages and food inside. All in all, it was a great experience.

I am very happy with the cleanliness of this place. However, there is not much room in the seats and cannot lean back very far. (however there are other seats with backs on them.) Also, a lot of the good stuff is sold out by midway through the third quarter. This is still better than the "Big" House whose team is anything but. GO BUCKS!!!

Of course, it's awesome to get to tour the 'Shoe...seeing the places where the action happens! Our tour was led by a Redcoat who had volunteered at the stadium for over 20 years ago so besides seeing places, he told great stories. We saw the media room, the coaches box, the band room, the Varsity-O Room, the player's tunnel and got to walk onto the field.

We attended a concert here at the beginning of last month. No parking allowed near the stadium, but we found a garage close by pretty easily and walked through campus to get in (really nice by the way!). Very well organized event with pleasant and helpful staff, as well as student workers. Food was typical, nothing exciting or different. We had field seats and had a good view. Definitely would see a concert here again.

Nothing like a game in shoe! Go bucks. Get there early, enjoy the festivities & tailgate. Traffic is slow the closer you get to kick off. 3 hours early recommended

Ohio Stadium aka The Shoe is one of the most beautiful and historic stadiums in all of sports let alone college football. Boasting over 100 years of history and tradition the facilities have been kept modern while still honoring the past. My family and I attended at least one Ohio State Buckeyes football game a year and always do our best to sit in section 21C or 23C. We love the view from there and we love the ushers. The stadium has some of the friendliest and most accommodating staff around. Always doing their best to help out and make sure things go smoothly. They are also very accommodating to those with mobility issues. My family and I go to at least one Buckeyes football game a year and here are some tips we have learned. The elevators to B and C deck are located on the west side of the stadium near gate nine. The skull session starts 2 hours and 20 minutes before kick off at St. John Arena besides a great way to get fired up before the game itโ€™s a great place to find a real restroom besides all the porta potties. While there are many parking lots the lot near Jesse Owens track usually always has spots but it is a walk. Another benefit of parking there is you get to walk by and can easily shop at the buckeyes team shop at the The Schottenstein Center. Parking near the Ag building is closer but will fill up very early. The pictures Iโ€™ve posted were taken in section 23 C row 12.

Got to bring one of my daughters here for her first football game. Had a great time, everyone was super nice and the atmosphere was great. Really enjoyed seeing the history here and all the activities associated with game day. Hope to be able to come to many games here and celebrate wins everytime.

11th largest field! Built 1922. Gorgeous views everywhere! Turf is plastic material thatโ€™s plush! You may reserve a seat for around 5k a year. Or a box for around 45k. Immaculate surroundings. Very kind staff & very hospitable! We were with a private event that gifted us a behind the scenes thru the tunnel and on the field! We also were taken to the press box & Athletic Director area! Surreal to see it all from the 50 yard line! Great memorable experience!

Absolutely amazing atmosphere to watch a college football game. The only thing I would say is if you're a big or husky person that seating is tight on the bench seats. We were in the middle of our row in the lower levels & we could barely sit in our seats.

We went on a tour, for a convention we were attending. I was amazed! It's actually very cool, built 100 years ago. I'm really not a football fan, but I really enjoyed walking around!!

Everything here was nice and clean. Staff was nice and helpful. My only complaint is that nobody sat in their specific seats. There was someone in my actual seat for almost the whole concert. I ended up sitting in a random empty seat 2 rows back.

  • 3/5 Tony S. 8 months ago on Google
Great concert. Venue was lacking compared to other locations. Wear your walking shoes because you have to. Would suggest Yum, Great American, or Rupp if the artist is there over here. All in all not a horrible place, but there is clearly not enough bathrooms having brought in porta potties. The alcohol policy is cumbersome limiting you to two drinks per person instead of ID like others, meaning if you are with a group you will need multiple runners to keep the good times flowing. The seats are also partitioned for earlier times not taken into account that most people are a little wider today than they were 40 years ago. All in all narrow seating, tight rows, frequent trips because you canโ€™t get a couple rounds at a time, no convenient bathrooms, and a crowd means you are constantly in contact with people coming and going, jostling you from behind or elbows from the side. As long as the group you are around is laidback it works, but one a&: would make this not a good time.

Man, oh man, C deck is a killer. If you have tickets up there, make sure you have your tennis shoes on because there's a lot of stairs. Next, it's bleachers, so it's a killer on the back. I think maybe for a ball game to cheer on the Buckeye's, it's perfect, but for a 4 hour concert, it is rough. The bathroom was not bad, and the concessions were overpriced. The sound was alright. The big screens were Great for us .I love the singers so I was happy to be there.

  • 4/5 Angela Y. 8 months ago on Google
Great venue to see Motley Crue, Def Leppard, and Alice Cooper on 8/8/2023. Only complaint, the bench style seating was extremely uncomfortable. Would have preferred the fold down chair bottom type seats. Otherwise great!

For the multitudes of people that come through for games & concerts, I thought the staff did extremely well. Also, loved the $11 souvenir cups with fill it yourself process & refills.

  • 5/5 JM M. 8 months ago on Google
Although getting out of parking lot is awful & police don't seem to care about what they're supposed to be doing this is a great venue for a concert. Beautiful stadium. Helpful staff. Great sound.

Best damn stadium in the land! I recommend going to a game if you have never gotten the chance! Skull session is a must, and walking through the tunnel for first timers! Skull session is where the band plays inside the old basketball arena before games, and the tunnel has an atmosphere like no other! Absolutely one of my favorite places to be!

I love it for the history, not impressed with the structure. I'm not a fan of the seating and the huge pillars that can block your view on the second level restrooms are also a problem. I was surprised by the lack of fan engagement during the game between two top twenty teams and a rival.
