Review
is
solely
for
application
process,
I
did
not
live
at
Gateway
Lakes.
I
initially
applied
for
an
apartment
here
on
June
30th
after
first
checking
with
the
leasing
office
to
confirm
my
eligibility
and
ask
a
few
questions.
I
also
shared
my
timetable,
since
we
were
moving
from
another
state
and
needed
an
address
secured
pretty
quickly.
My
partner's
application
was
finished
on
the
morning
of
July
1st,
and
both
were
accepted
by
the
leasing
office,
contingent
on
the
manager's
approval.
During
the
process
I
contacted
the
leasing
consultant
about
once
a
day
or
every
other
day,
as
she
wouldn't
call
me
first
and
I
didn't
have
any
updates
on
the
next
steps.
Every
call
seemed
to
indicate
that
we
were
good
to
go,
we
just
needed
manager
approval.
After
a
week
of
waiting
and
checking
(there
was
always
an
excuse
for
how
the
manager
had
been
busy
eating
lunch
or
wasn't
there),
we
were
getting
a
little
frustrated
with
the
lack
of
communication
or
updates
on
where
the
process
was.
Finally,
we
were
told
by
the
leasing
office
that
we
needed
a
guarantor.
Totally
fair,
and
we
were
prepared
with
one.
The
issue
is
that
the
leasing
agent
apparently
didn't
know
how
to
do
this?
She
wanted
us
to
do
an
online
application,
but
no
one
could
find
it,
including
her.
So
we
gave
it
another
day
for
the
agent
to
ask
her
boss
again,
and
then
called
up
the
office
the
next
day,
now
with
the
leasing
agent
asking
for
me
to
fill
out
a
paper
form
of
the
application
for
my
guarantor.
I
sent
this
over
an
hour
later.
I
asked
a
few
questions
about
the
apartment
and
received
no
reply.
So
after
a
few
MORE
days
of
waiting
and
this
morning's
call
of
"Oh,
I'm
just
waiting
for
the
property
manager!
We're
so
busy!",
my
partner
and
I
decided
to
cancel
our
application
on
July
11th.
Over
the
weekend,
we
were
able
to
find
another
apartment
in
the
area
and
the
management
there
was
able
to
finish
all
the
paperwork
in
48
hours.
It
sounds
like
they
have
had
a
busy
couple
of
weeks,
but
it
feels
unprofessional
that
I
had
to
call
to
get
updates
from
the
leasing
office
or
to
hear
about
what
I
needed
to
submit
next.
The
leasing
agent
I
spoke
to
was
very
sweet
and
friendly,
and
she
admitted
that
she
was
new
to
the
job
and
still
learning
the
ropes.
Very
understandable,
but
at
no
point
did
her
supervisor
take
ten
minutes
to
get
on
the
phone
or
send
us
an
email,
despite
the
fact
that
we
were
all
apparently
waiting
on
her.
I
felt
like
after
they
had
our
$225
application
fee
and
administration
fee,
they
weren't
interested
in
getting
us
in
anymore.
The
apartment
complex
is
owned
by
Coastal
Ridge
Real
Estate,
and
I
plan
on
definitely
avoiding
them
in
the
future.
