Spindler Dog Park in Hilliard, Ohio, is a canine haven that goes above and beyond to cater to both dogs and their owners. This park, encompassing 3 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, offers an exceptional space for furry friends to frolic and socialize. One of the standout features of Spindler Dog Park is its meticulous separation into two sections: one for smaller dogs and another for larger breeds. This thoughtful design ensures that all dogs can play comfortably and safely. The fenced-in areas provide ample room for off-leash play, agility training, or simply running around to expend pent-up energy. The park is impeccably maintained, with well-kept grass and plenty of shaded spots for pet parents to relax while keeping an eye on their four-legged companions. The presence of water fountains and waste disposal stations adds to the convenience. What sets Spindler Dog Park apart is its welcoming community. Dog owners here are friendly and responsible, creating a positive and sociable atmosphere. It's a great place not only for your dog to make new friends but for you to connect with fellow dog enthusiasts. Additionally, the park hosts various events and fundraisers throughout the year, fostering a sense of togetherness among visitors. From doggy Halloween costume contests to charity walks, there's always something happening at Spindler Dog Park. In conclusion, Spindler Dog Park in Hilliard, Ohio, is more than just a place for dogs to run free; it's a hub of canine camaraderie and responsible pet ownership. Nice & well taken care of dog park. Fenced/off-leash areas for both large and small dogs.. with plenty of walking trails surrounding the dog park, & a water fountain. Plenty of parking. It can get very muddy when it rains, & pretty crowded on very nice days. Nice amenity to have close to home!

An amazing park, but it seems like a lot of people don't pick up after their dogs... I almost constantly have to clean my shoes after playing with my hound there... and there are usually several mud puddles.

This place is great! But for a dog park that dog owners enjoy, why don't more people pick up after their dogs!? Shockingly there are piles of abandoned poop in and out of the fenced area.

My doggo had such a great time here yesterday. He got to play and make new friends. It was nice to be able to get him out and not worry about the leash.

We stopped at this dog park on our cross country trip and it totally saved us! It's open to the community--no membership required. There are two separated parks, one for large and one for small dogs. In the large dog section, there are little hills, some trees for shade and a paved path, which is perfect for muddy days. There were plenty of dogs there for our pup to play with and owners were really friendly and attentive. There's a water station too, which is always appreciated. Would highly recommend!

Nice dog park with fenced area for small dogs and one for large dogs. Walking trails inside the two areas. There is a walking trail outside the fence.

We take our 3 dogs there often to run & play, and they love it! It has plenty of wide, open space to run & play and greet other dogs with their humans!!! There are water fountains, for the dogs & their humans, as well as a water spigot to fill your dog's water bowl;-) We were their between 10:30 & 11a.m. on a Saturday, and it was peaceful and very enjoyable!

Park with good dogs and people. Only park where I trust the other dogs, haven’t seen much aggression in the pets that the owners don’t correct right away. Would be nice if they added more trees for shaded areas. Also there is a nice trail behind the park and there is one dog drinking fountain right outside the entrance to the gated area

Great park! I love bringing my dog(s) here. Well kept and clean. I even met a lady from out of state who stops by every time they pass through because her dog loves it here too!

Terrific dog park, open to the public. We were driving cross country so this park was excellent to stop for 45 mins and give our socialized dog a chance to interact with other dogs and sniff around. It is split into two sides (small and large). The small dog side seems small but while we was there no one used it. Everyone came into the large dog side which is HUGE! Lots of room too run around, there were lots of dogs there constantly coming and going and everything seemed safe. We spoke to lots of the other dog owners who were also friendly. There is a water fountain outside and bowls to fill for your dog. I think there were poop bag station also. Everything a dog could need to be happy! I highly recommend and appreciate it being open to the public so travelers can use it too.

This is our favorite dog park. High visibility in the fenced in and shared portion, good amount of parking and a good trail. We gave large dogs but the park does have an area for small or slower paced dogs that is fenced in.

Nice park. Dogs had lots of room to run.People were friendly. On the down size the trees in the dog areas were small so not a lot of shade. Couldnt stay long on 90 degree day

A fenced off park with 2 sections, one for small dogs and one for big dogs. Be sure to bring toys/a ball, and something to hold water in, there is a water fountain but I'd bring water as well just in case. Big and fun for the dogs to run around and play with one another. Only complaints I have are some owners aren't considerate enough to pick up their dogs poop nor maintain the 6ft distance/wear a mask. If you aren't going to stay 6 ft from people, wear a mask, otherwise it is outside, just be careful. Those complaints are about the owners who use the park, not the park itself so the park still deserves a full rating.

BRING YOUR OWN WATER!!! Great park for the dogs and for humans I walk or run the path... It's clean and not very many dogs whenever we're there so it's enough room to play or roam.

  • 5/5 Christine B. 1 year ago on Google
Great park with a paved path around the park to keep an eye on pups and a couple benches. There's a smaller area portioned off for either smaller dogs or to acclimating your dog to being in the park with others.

  • 5/5 Maya O. 1 year ago on Google
Great park, fenced in. There are two entrances: one for big dogs and the other one is first small. It is large enough for dogs to run around

  • 5/5 kayla k. 5 years ago on Google
My dog LOVES this park, theres always so many other dogs there and he adores running with them. Theres two separate "parks" I assume one for smaller dogs who don't get along well with bigger dogs or you could train your dog there, and the other one is HUGE. It's really easy to get to, but parking can be a bit tricky.

A well maintained and popular park, great for sociable and energetic dogs! The lost star is due only to the hills in the large dog area, which can make it hard to keep an eye on your pooch if he runs off. The walking trails nearby are great for puppy owners who want their pups to start socialization without being overwhelmed. Just make sure they have their 16 week vaccs, first!

  • 5/5 Eliana W. 4 years ago on Google
My dogs love it here!! The other dogs are always so nice and they love to climb the big hill!!

  • 3/5 Zach H. 1 year ago on Google
Decent sized dog park. Its completely empty but does have some elevation change, which makes it slightly better than just a flat fenced in field. Fence isn't completely secured around the outside, but I haven't ever seen a dog escape. Sometimes the inside gate to the large dog park doesn't securely shut which can create issues for dogs that like to push it open, but the second gate prevents them from leaving the park. It's all around a decent park, plus the people and dogs are pretty friendly.

This is a really nice spot to take your dogs! Plenty of enclosed space to roam, there's always a furry friend there, and a poop bag is always only an arm's length away!

I would absolutely not recommend this dog park. I have never run into so many aggressive dogs that are unwatched by their owners. One of the worst dog parks I’ve ever been too. I’ve gone plenty of times to know it’s almost 80% of the time there are aggressive dogs and obvious owners there.

They need to fix the latches at the front. They have been wimping these along. Grass is mostly gone... A pretty good mud pit all around. If they gave this some attention it would be great... Stellar even.

I went to the dog park with my 7th month old black lab to get some other dog playtime off leash. He did great. Only problem was someone's dog was super over aggressive kept biting on my dogs neck. Beyond that, it was a good time and we will go back.

  • 5/5 Parker C. 3 years ago on Google
It was my first time taking my new dog to the park, and it went really well. The other owners there were super kind and considerate, and the dogs all got along very well. I'll definitely be coming back!

  • 5/5 Ralph H. 4 months ago on Google
Our dog always has a good time here. There are quite a few dogs that come to this park, so your furry friend will get to meet other dogs. We've notices that most dogs are well behaved. Not a lot of trees for shade, but the grass is well kept and there is a hill in the middle that dogs like to climb. Tip: If you like to walk while your dog sniffs and plays with other dogs this park has a decent size walking oval. You can keep an eye on you dog and get some laps in for exercise.

I've gone to Spindler for 2 years now. Not only has my dog made friends, but I've also made some great friends! There are sometimes issues on the big dog side but I blame the owner's not the dogs. If you don't socialize your dog, if your dog is not fixed and aggressive, and this is the only form of exercise they ever get, I don't expect a dog to do well. There are rules posted outside of the park. Look at how people are acting after being in a house for 2 years with COVID. Consider this when you throw your dog into a park after being housed up all day every day like you were. I go to this park 364 out of 365 Days out of the year and I have no issues. I typically go during the day between the hours of 8a and noon.

Fully fenced separate small dog and large dog areas. Couple benches. Clean, grassy. A little shade. Next to a walking path and trees. Porta potty. Good owners who watch their dogs.

I think this park is wonderful for me and my dog to stretch our legs in a gated area and. Also has a path outside the gated area where you can walk your dog on the leash. Only problem with the park is on top of the hill (in the gated area) there is a mud pit, and all the dogs that love water in mud always end up in it

I absolutely love this park for the most part and the the trail next to it the few down sides are the lack of parking spaces and all too often I find litter in the large dog pen. Other than that it is very close by where I can walk my dog to the park.

Great size. My hound shephard mix is insane if she doesn't get exercise and this place is the perfect size for her and me. I need to be able to see her when she runs from one end to the other and there's only one hill that stops me from seeing her.
