Great coffee shop in the heart of downtown Columbus! My cappuccino was fantastic and vegan donut was good too. I wish they had a wider selection of baked goods though. Staff was friendly and helpful and the seating area is a great place to work on emails.

Cute, nice coffee shop in the downtown area. I was going to this coffee shop when a homeless person approached me and demanded 40$! I was avoiding her ( I had no cash with me) but she kept walking with me. I went inside the coffee shop, and she also went inside! I offered her coffee however she kept on the nuance and demanded money. At last she took water and left! The cafe girls (bassists) were very supporting and offered me free coffee. The coffee was really great. I bought a mint tea for my husband ( he was waiting in the car, parked a block away). I will again go back here to get coffee.

I can’t believe how many local joints here are 5-star good... this coffee shop is cozy and has excellent natural light, being on the corner of a not-so-busy street. The drinks are simple but flavorful; the seasonal options are creative! I had a honey vanilla latte, very reasonably priced and delicious. Was looking for a great local coffee shop and found one where they roast and grind their own coffee beans!

Great customer service! I would NOT recommend the syrup with rose in it, tasted almost salty for some reason (like soy sauce? I have no better way to describe it). However, they replaced my cappuccino when I didn’t like it immediately; no questions asked, super sweet lady at the register. Coffee was strong, but I drank it without sugar, so good good stuff 👌

I've visited Brioso twice and have left disappointed on both occasions. On my first visit I tried a maple latte. There weren't any other customers in the cafe at the time, yet it took probably about 7 minutes to make a small. It didn't taste like maple and it needed sweetener, which IMO shouldn't since maple is sweet. On my second visit I tried a chai latte. It was the worst chai I've ever had. It was watery and tasted like it came from a box. I didn't finish either drink. I prefer to support smaller coffee shops as opposed to places like Starbucks, but I still expect superb drinks. Brioso completely misses the mark IMO.

Love at first sight. One of my favorite coffee shops so far in the world. Definitely on my top ten. If I come back to Columbus, I’ll visit this place again.

My coffee (the rose one) was absolutely delicious. Everyone working was nice, restrooms and rest of the place was impeccably clean. Prices are great too.

Brioso no longer serves food. If you're looking for a coffee bean from anywhere in the world they probably have it, but their great Turkey Pesto sandwich is no more.

Great coffee shop close to the river walk. Ordered a cappuccino and it was delicious

I had the cappuccino, it was surprisingly strong! It’s small, but cozy inside. They don’t seem to have a lot of food options. Fast friendly service. I do have to say, the prices were surprisingly good, I thought I’d pay double before coming in based on it being downtown and in light of greed-flation over the last few years.

I’ve been going to Brioso for years and have always loved their coffee. I’m especially partial to their maple latte. Just a super delicious treat! I’ve dinged them a bit because they used to offer a great selection of sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, but in their new location only have a very limited pastry selection that’s usually gone by mid-morning.

Although the baristas were super friendly and the shop was super modern and clean, the coffee just wasn't good. Although it had a very high quality feel to it (leading me to think it was going to be good) and was reasonably priced, every time I took a sip of my iced maple latte, it was clearly sour and left a funky after taste. I also had digestive issues after drinking this coffee, which I have not experienced with any other place after trying numerous other coffee shops in the area. I'm not sure if this was just a fluke or not, as my friend also noted that her espresso was sour as well. I wanted to like this shop so bad considering the atmosphere and the good things I heard about it, but this just wasn't it unfortunately.

I love getting an iced petal to the metal with oat milk here. It's SO GOOD. The people who work behind the counter are all exceptional - kind individuals who I look forward to seeing every time I go. Highly recommended coffee shop - I had never been until I started working downtown this spring.

Just moved into the area and I stopped by for an iced coffee today! The honey vanilla latte was so yummy! I forgot the kind gentleman that gave me recommendations on the different drinks name, but he was so kind and the guy who made my drink was all smiles! Great atmosphere, clean, outdoor seating, so friendly, nice AC and can’t wait to try another drink when I return soon! Thanks Brioso!

Great coffee but the service is not as friendly as the Midwest should offer. Feels more like an NYC coffee shop

  • 5/5 D. C. 4 years ago on Google
Nothing really flashy about the place, but it's arguably the best coffee in Columbus. Hands down, without a doubt, their espresso is the best I've had. I recommend this place as a first stop for anyone visiting the downtown area.

Really nice urban cafe. A great place for reading a book, writing up an essay or talking with friends. The cortado I got was just what I needed to get my day started.

This is one of my favorite places in Columbus. It is centrally located downtown, and easy to access from transit. Parking is difficult during the workday, but they have Saturday hours for when you need some of those great beans, and there is plenty of street parking. Speaking of the coffee, they have a great selection and quality of many typical origin and roasts you'll be accustomed to seeing. However you MUST try the unwashed/natural beans. They have amazing sourced coffees and you will not find them in most other places.

Smaller more modern location than the Long street roastery, but coffee is just as good. They also have a similar selection of bags of retail coffee and other items.

This place is good. Really, really good. When it comes to great coffee it's so good that I mail order it from here and have it shipped. The shop itself is nifty and the staff is cool, but the coffee is worth a trip alone if you're in Cbus!

First time in Columbus and got lucky enough to wander into this charming and friendly coffee shop. Great service, delicious coffee - even picked up a bag of beans the next day before coming home!

  • 4/5 Mary H. 5 years ago on Google
Limited selection of coffees but almost all I want to try them all! Mostly lattes if you want them flavored. I got the maple latte since the weather is cooling down. It wasn’t too sweet but you can still have the after taste of the maple. Just my kind of coffee. The staff was really nice and said they had a sister store called The Roosevelt Coffeehouse around the corner that serves the same coffee but the interior has a different vibe. If I have time, I might venture there.

Please get “chilling like a villain!” Really good cold brew coffee with some spice, so nice on a hot summer day in the city!

Great coffee in the area, certainly takes the cake of the better coffee shops around. Fast WiFi and good seating, will be back for the cold brew!

  • 4/5 Derek H. 4 years ago on Google
While they have a limited coffee selection compared to other coffee shops around, they do offer a stamp on the Columbus Coffee Experience guide book and the staff is usually very interactive. If you are looking for variety AND consistency, they aren't good for that, but they have a consistent rotation of decent coffee.

  • 5/5 M Z. 4 years ago on Google
Very good, even though I liked previous location better! Parking still hard, meters only up to 30min, what's up with that city of Columbus?!

  • 5/5 Christopher Y. 4 years ago on Google
Previously 2 stars. UPDATE 02062020 I believe environment influences emotion and behavior. I believe the new digs and the new set up has gone a long way in turning this place around. Employees seem happier and the coffee selection has swung a full 180 as well. New equipment a new outlook a scaled version of pastry that are delicious. If you can snag a hand pie before they vanish I strongly recommend you do so. Seating is good given the space of operations. Nothing but wishes of success.

Very good coffee and modern atmosphere. Limited space for seating made it tough for a bigger individual to sit comfortably.

Brioso Coffee is one of my favorite places to escape from the hustle of Downtown. The coffee is great and there is usually a quiet corner to escape to. This place is moving locations at the time of this review (9/6/2019)

The space is interesting. It's an elongated room with chairs and tables and couches. It felt like a hangout space...but for professional people. It's got a hole in the wall vibe, but the customers weren't hipster by any means. You can definitely hang around a while here. It's a lot larger of a space than I thought!

I ordered a chai tea with ice but I was served ice with a bit of chai tea.

  • 2/5 Krystal S. 4 years ago on Google
For there being almost no one in front of me in line, that was the longest I've waited for a latte. What made the experience worse is that it may just be the worst latte I've ever had. :( Also this place does not look open or inviting from the outside.
