Awesome coffee shop in downtown Westerville! Enjoyed a light roast pour over coffee and a breakfast sandwich on a Sunday. Seems like a really popular spot with lots of guests. Staff very friendly. Loved the spacious seating. They also sell a lot of items for the coffee enthusiast. As a bonus, got to watch the cast of Uptown Scrooge pass through x2. Would recommend this cafe for a cup of Joe.

Delightful coffee shop/cafe. Nice area to spend time for oneself. Buckeye coffee tasted excellent and as well the blueberry small cake was freshly made. Small items to buy like coffee machine, honey, stickers accessories etc are available. There is outdoor and indoor seating. Friendly staff. Neat restrooms.

Stopped by to see the music and grab some tea, coffee and a bakery delight. The music was delightful and the beverages perfect. This is a marvelous space in Uptown, they support local artists and being in some world class musicians. I can't wait to stop by again.

Java Central has a lot going for it, but I have to mention the service first. This crew is engaged with customers, having fun, and genuinely care about the customer experience. I ordered the Cinnamon Pecan coffee cake. It was very sweet, moist, and delicious. The barista taking my order proactively offered to warm it, even though they were busy. I had the Congolese drip coffee. The roast was correct and flavorful. The bar has whole bean coffee available and a sizable number of coffee brewing equipment for the size of the coffee house. The table I sat at was wobbly, but every great second wave coffee house I've been to around the country has the same issue. So it didn't detract from the experience. You should know that most of the seating is down the hall in the back, so don't be fooled by the few seats by the bar. If you're in Westerville go here.

Java Central is more than just a good coffee shop. It is an essential part of the local community. You may walk by and see a cute front window and have assumptions about the size but just like a Tardis, Java is bigger on the inside! Literally all the staff are so friendly and will become like family to you if you visit often. The spaces inside and out are cozy and perfect if you want to have a meeting with someone, sit and work on your laptop, hang out with friends, enjoy nice weather on the brick-walk patio or simply sit and enjoy a meal and a GREAT drink. I travel a lot and never have found a place like this. They roast their own coffee and care about the quality and the farms and people they get their beans from so you’re going to get an actual great tasting cup of coffee that you can feel good about! And it’s tangible how much they care about the community and human rights and making sure everyone feels welcome. Aside from the good product, safe space, thoughtful atmosphere they create and all the qualities you like to see from a business, Java also supports artists and musicians. You’ll see local art on the walls throughout that rotate to showcase many different artists. It’s all for sale as well as local goodies you’ll find by the registers in the cafe area. Perfect for grabbing a gift or just something for yourself. And if you come in on a Friday evening, you can enjoy (and ask Ralph to sign up!) the open mic night. If you come by on a Saturday evening, you’ll experience a full intimate show from a local musician or band. I love to come during a music night, buy a drink and a hemp flax cookie and draw on my iPad while listening. It’s my happy place. My drink of choice: 12oz iced latte with oat milk. I also used to drink (before cutting sugar) an iced latte with honey and lavender. So dreamy. My husband’s drink of choice is like a traditional 8oz cappuccino with whole milk. Ask for the Marco-ccino 😆

Very nice staff ! I ordered a medium roast pour over, excellent flavor. It appeared they had a pretty extensive menu and pastry selection. it doesn't look big from the outside but this is a very large yet cozy coffee shop, plenty of seating if you have a larger group. I felt very relaxed while I sipped my coffee and completed some work I had to finish. I sat in the back area where it also appears they host live acts from time to time. Just a heads up, They prefer you where a mask in until your seated.

What a great little shop! I've been wanting to try it since seeing it when visiting my brother this summer. It did not disappoint. Met there with friends, I had an oat cardamom latte (super interesting, I liked it) and my friends had the honey latte (reported as not too sweet, but good honey flavor) and a hot cocoa. The house-made chocolate peppermint cake was DIVINE and huge, easily split among us. Also they had all kinds of Pattycake sweets! If I still lived in Columbus, I'd come here often and I'll definitely be back. Cute outdoor seating for whenever things get warm again. Oh and a nice clean bathroom with lots of hooks for coats/bags, doesn't go unappreciated in winter especially! The staff was also very friendly!

This place fits the “neighborhood coffee shop” title perfectly. Such a warm and inviting atmosphere and delicious coffee! I got the cardamom rose latte and it was just perfect. Not too sweet, not too bitter.

Came here pretty late on a Saturday (looking to get some last minute work done) and came to a welcoming, warm, and friendly environment. There was a wonderful band playing, the music being transmitted outside, as well. They were so kind and the outside seating was beautiful.

An adorable coffee shop nestled in the heart of Westerville. They have a large list of drinks to satisfy any coffee lover's request, as well as some breakfast bites. They sell various coffee accessories that you can browse as you wait in line. The service was quick and the baristas were super friendly. If you dine in, I'd suggest grabbing a table outside in the joining alley, which is shaded and quiet.

Simply beautiful! The coffee and the snacks are delicious, we ordered some Oatmeal, Pesto egg in toast and the Nutella Raspberry Croissant and they were 👌👌 Such a beautiful, calm vibe to this place, perfect way to start your day. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

we have been to Java for the past several years, and I truly feel like I need to write some good things about it this time. Java serves very delicious coffee, tea, and breakfast around the clock. We had multiple items, but latte has always been one of the favorites at this location. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and row. We highly recommend anybody visiting Westerville area to just give a try. Highly Recommend. Don’t believe- just look at these pictures.

We stopped here as we were in the area and went about 30 minutes before closing time. Got the Cardomom rose latte and it was good. Not too sweet or anything. The place is so cozy and beautiful. The menu items are a bit pricey. But that will not stop up from visiting here in the future ! Especially after seeing they have live bands!

I used to come here a couple of years ago when the drinks were amazing. Since that time the quality and experience has declined tremendously. I have been in a few times in the last few months .The drinks are watery with little flavor. On top of that the prices are more expensive. It's almost $7 for a flavored latte. You can still get an amazing latte in downtown Columbus for $5 from multiple locations. The customer service is nowhere near as warm and friendly as it used to be. It is unfortunate that this is the case because the shop is in such an amazing location. I hope that one day the quality can get back to where it once was.

Lovely little coffee shop/cafe in cute town Westerville! I got a cardamom rose latte which was delicious and I thought the flavors were really unique. I didn’t get food but I saw some others food that looked delicious and fresh. If you’re in town I definitely recommend getting a cup of joe here!

Passing thru town and found this GEM! Great atmosphere, friendly faces (employees AND customers). Great place to hang out, lots of outdoor seating. I got the lavender cold brew 1/2 sweet and it was perfection! Highly recommend for those who just like a little sweet kick.

The drinks were amazing and I was very happy with the food. I had the gluten free breakfast sandwich and it was the same size as my boyfriend’s. They do have baked goods from local gluten free bakeries, which I enjoyed. We will definitely go back.

Very pricey!! I like the atmosphere in this place but definitely disappointed with the prices. I was wondering if they charged me for an art exhibition admission at the same time I got my food, lol because the sandwich i ordered has been the most expensive sandwich (breakfast sandwich) i have been eating so far, but wait it wasn't even a sandwich it was a toast with avocado for $8.00 or so and I won't give them a 2 stars review because the "Buckeye moka" was good.

This is my new favorite coffee shop to go to. Its a really nice atmosphere to just sit and draw/study/work. It can be a bit busy and loud at times, but headphones do the job. Its really such a cute place on the inside with local stuff for sale. Good service. Had a mocha which was a little too overly sweet for my liking, but the coffee still tastes great. The vibe is just awesome and the fact that they stay open later is such a plus!

👍👍 The whole family loved this place. Only issue I had were the onion rings. They were still doughy and had no flavor, don't get them. However, the burgers were awesome and even the kids said they wanted to come back. The fontana sauce is on another level.....amazing. Get a side of it and dip everythin...
