Great place with a chill vibe. Nice open concept with a variety of seating options as well as closed off spaces for meetings/studying. The coffee was very good and the food was quality. Loved the jams they were playing. They were the perfect backdrop for reading.

Wonderful friendly service, great coffee. Harsh industrial atmosphere. They do have cool office cubicles here for groups/events also. Borders rough area of town, lots of homeless close by.

During the pandemic, I've been ordering coffee from local roasters since I can't go out. I ordered the House Blend from Bottoms Up Coffee and it was AMAZING! My husband now refuses to drink any coffee from the grocery store after having this. I also ordered a mug (because hey, the light blue color and the cork bottom are just too cute to pass up) and the mug arrived before the coffee with the sweetest hand-written thank you note <3 I cannot say enough how nice that was to see - fantastic customer service. I will definitely order coffee from Bottoms Up as well as visit their store once I'm able to!

This is a really cool coffee spot in Franklinton. They offer very unique coffee drinks and great pastries like a home made pop tart. I was looking forward to trying their rainy day coffee which has cotton candy that drips into your coffee as it melts but because of the current precautions they are not making it until it’s back to normal. The interior space is nice and relaxing and has plenty of outlets to work or study from and they even have private rooms. The staff was super friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend this cool coffee place and we will be back for the rainy day coffee!!!

Super cute little hidden gem! They have beautiful crown molding ceiling, two greenhouse style sky lights, and dark wooden floors with plants all around. They have three small conference rooms and some games! I got an outmilk mocha iced latte and it was delicious! Definitely would return.

This place has good vibes. I got a lavender and dragon fruit chai. Don’t knock it till you try it. Which was so sweet and so yummy. I also just had to grab a pastry which was a blueberry pop tart. Absolutely amazing btw. Staff was really friendly the decor was giving very much everyone is welcome here vibes with mismatched genres of style going on. When I was leaving grabbed another chai and it was quick and tasted just as good.

We have been trying different coffee shops in Columbus, and this is one of my favorite. Great cappuccino and vegan pastries from Tasty Little Treats. Inside is cool. Kinda shabby chic? Lots of. of space and even a few tables in nooks with doors you can use like an office

Bottoms Up Coffee is a local coffee shop located in downtown Columbus. This small café is a great place to grab some caffeine and food while utilizing their individual study rooms for your personal work. The entrance does have 3-4 steps up to the door with the only wheelchair accessible doors being the exit. The exit has a slight ramp that leads out to the parking lot. However, when truly leaving the vicinity out the exit doors one must press a button to unlock it, of which is not easily accessible to those who are shorter or even wheelchair bound. There are also no available handicap buttons to open doors. This local business has a quant and cozy atmosphere with plants located throughout, fun decorations, and overall environment quality. Music is down low and not distracting and the staff are patient yet welcoming to all who enter the doors. This location overall is more geared towards serving able bodied individuals due to the accessibility of entering/exiting the building. I would recommend this to those that are sensitive to sensory overload as it is a quieter environment with simple private rooms to avoid distractions. Overall, great place to get away from the daily hustle and bustle of life and focus on work that you need to get done or just sit back relax and enjoy some coffee!

Staff was incredibly nice. The espresso machine was down and they were clearly slammed, but helped everyone in a timely matter. Fairly priced. Atmosphere is very chill where you could sit and relax for a while or do work. Plenty of seating and even smaller rooms, like a study room, you can use as well. They also have an 'after hours' menu with some alcoholic coffee! Would recommend

I really love this place! They make sure that your coffee is made with quality, and care. The environment is really good for both studying or just connecting with friends! Bottoms up has both an open floor and private rooms. I would recommend this place to snobs and coffee amateurs alike

It's easily one of the best coffee shops I've been to in Central Ohio. My family loves to try independent (non-chain) coffee shops, as they combine two things we love - coffee and small business! This coffee shop was on our way out of Columbus, so we decided to pop in and give it a try. We will be adding this to our "place not to miss" when we head into Columbus from now on!! The barista was a friendly, helpful young man who gave my daughter and I EXCEPTIONAL service. I would not have ordered a blackberry cold brew with cold foam without his recommended, he had listened to what I like and added lavender to the cold foam!!! It was out-of-this-world AMAZING!!!!! Can't wait to return!

Ordered a "rainy day" (their signature house blend drip with cotton candy melting I to it) and beef empanada. Service was nice and space was cool. Coffee was average, but the empanada was cool, and the visual of the cotton candy was so cool 😎. Street parking. Good vibes.

Thank you, Bottoms Up! I stopped by for the first time, expecting a nice iced coffee... and now my coffee life is forever changed! The Blackberry cold brew - summertime coffee perfection! Then, paired with a fresh, soft peanut butter cookie - it was the sophisticated, deconstructed PB&J deliciousness that I never knew existed! The atmosphere, space to chill or work (even private rooms at no charge!), and feel-good community vibe were amazing. This IS a destination worthy experience. Don't sleep on Bottoms Up! You will thank yourself!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this coffee shop! The service is top notch and the workers are incredibly kind, especially Bow. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They have some very interesting coffees such as the “Rainy Day Coffee” which comes with cotton candy and a match flight that is DELICIOUS. There are study rooms, lots of natural light, and a peaceful vibe. One of the most unique finds in Columbus.

Wonderful, warm, cozy, bright, friendly cafe in Franklinton! The art is great and changes every 3 months. The owner Chakeyla Anderson is a beautiful, friendly, generous and smart woman entrepreneur! She collects for a charity.. a Diaper Fund for local people who need help with diapers. The coffee is super! As a note, Chakeyla invited me to exhibit my photos there for April to June 2021.

Absolutely a find !! Thankyou Columbus Coffee Trail and Bottoms Up!! Don’t forget to try “The Brew” and “Honey Cinnamon Iced Latte” both equally delicious. Best customer service with suggestions and patience with a smile while I tried to decide on my order. There is Sunday live music at 12 can order the after hour drinks on Sunday at 11am. Lee and Bome are the best and super fun !! They make the experience exceptional. Ps there is really cool artwork for sale and little section like rooms to have a small group gathering !!

Excellent cafe! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, good coffee. I've liked all I've tried here. Black drip coffee, oatmilk lattes, and especially the lemon shake-ups. They have 4 study / meeting rooms, two of which have sliding barn doors for privacy. They also have a great mix of seating. Sofas, small tables, big tables, and bar stools. I wish they had more food options. It's sweets, or its a full sandwhich. I'd like a few small savory options. Bagels, or tomato basil scones, or something similar.

EDIT: I'm reducing a star as I just checked my bank account and they took out funds a week later. This can be a huge issue for people living tightly especially in today's economy when most transactions come out instantly. This is not good business practice and seems sketchy at best. We were passing through Columbus headed to Pittsburgh and decided to make a coffee stop. I was drawn in by the look and menu. However, upon entering the three of us were invisible to the baristas. I've seen this echoed in other reviews. There should be a warm and welcoming greeting. It took about three minutes for anyone to say hi and ask what we need. In fact, the girl that helped us wasn't even one of the two baristas I saw initially. We got cold brew and a iced double shot. The coffee has good flavor and the vibe is nice just work on the warm and welcoming and you'll get 5 stars every time.

Kaleea was an absolute sweetheart. I’ve always had trouble finding a sweet spot when it comes to my coffee preference but she helped me find something to love! The atmosphere is lovely, live band was playing some jazz and the building has some old architectural vibes, with the beautiful sky lights. Would recommend this place! 10/10

Went to Bottoms Up because I saw it on Instagram. Ordered the "Rainy Day" and an empanada. The Chai tea was as expected and the empanada was ok. The atmosphere was so nice. The barista was informed and nice. I would come again.

Love this place! Amazing atmosphere, delicious drinks, and they have a lot of information about community events and resources in Columbus! We happened to stop by while a live band (Eris Quartet) was playing, and they were absolutely incredible. We didn't get any snacks this time, but they all looked delicious. Will definitely be coming back.

As a non-coffee drinker, I don't go to too many coffee places. I have been here twice now and really love the atmosphere. They have some lovely tea options (currently sipping on a pumpkin spice latte w/ black tea). I look forward to coming back for the "after hours" (11a) menu.

I should’ve look up the type of atmosphere before asking my sons teacher to meet with my son and I here. My son is homebound and being at home doesn’t get the focus he needs. Decided to do a coffee shop and picked Bottoms Up. My sons teacher arrived before we did. She had asked the employee if it was okay to meet here and was told she would have to make a purchase. She purchased a cookie. Then my son and I walked in and my sons teacher had explained to me the situation of she had to make a purchase in order to seat in the shop. I decided to make sure that I understand what was going on. I walked up to the cafe and explained my son is meeting his teacher for home school. Is it not okay for us to come in and sit for an hour session. Her reply was as long as someone in the party makes a purchase. I said, “Okay, thank you!” I got no reply in return so I said, “Thank you!” for the second time and then she said, “You’re welcome!” I won’t be coming back! I didn’t feel welcomed. I understand the set up with businesses and entrepreneurs. Which I am a small business owner and a entrepreneur. I could go on more about this situation but I am not. I’m going to leave it here.

I haven’t had a pleasure in going to the cafe. However, I know one of the owners and wanted to support his business so I ordered 60 large tumblers as favors for my wedding. They were fast to deliver and everyone I encountered was kind and helpful in the process of ordering the tumblers. When they arrived each tumbler was packed in individual boxes and were great quality. I collect tumblers due to a coffee and tea addiction and was psyched about the quality. I really love the top where you can snap the lid open and closed. Absolutely thrilled with my purchase, quality and customer service. Pics of one of the tumblers.

I drove all the way to Columbus for an appointment that was ended up being double booked. I didn't want to waste my 45 minute drive for nothing so I looked up nearby coffee places. I ended up at bottoms up, the coffee was delicious. The barista, Morgan, was so cheery and delightful that I felt like my drive was worth it and my day seemed a little brighter.

The Canary Island (I think that’s what it was called) w/oat milk was the most delicious latte I’ve ever had, and the muffin I got tasted like someone’s grandma made it. The staff was really welcoming and I love that they have little private workspaces! On the opposite side of town from me, but I’ll definitely be back.

My girlfriend and I were very impressed by this coffee shop’s welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very nice and outgoing, especially when welcoming ‘obvious’ newcomers. They apparently come up with their own recipes as I tried their Snickerdoodle flavored latte which was actually quite nice. All in all this is a lovely spot to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and to enjoy the atmosphere!

First time visiting Bottom's Up, and it didn't disappoint! I ordered a Cafe Au Lait, and a ginger snap cookie. The coffee is fantasic, and milk was steamed perfectly. The ginger snap cookie has the perfect amount of spice and sweetness, yet wasn't so rich that I couldn't eat the whole thing. I got my order to go, but the atmosphere was welcoming and gave off the perfect "coffee shop on the corner" vibe. I can't wait until my next chance to visit this "Columbus Hidden Gem".

My SO got a cortado and a coldbrew. He thought their espresso was tasty and balanced and the cold brew was surprisingly good with a forward fruity acidity. I got a London fog that was sweet and yummy but a little weak on the tea flavor. Good vibe with a colorful palette and large variety of plants. Lots of natural light thanks to large windows and skylights. They also had several small rooms with tables that could be closed off from the main area for a quieter study or work space.

  • 4/5 Jordan H. 3 years ago on Google
It is a decent spot! I like the vibe. I did have some issues though/things to improve upon: - it is 80+ degrees on the inside - I ordered a coffee with cream and then they asked it I would like room for cream and I said yes. I got a black coffee so I asked where I could get some cream and they said they have to put it in so they took my coffee and like 3 mins later I got it back - I ordered a breakfast sandwich and was not given any napkins - I asked what the wifi password was and she just pointed me in the direction of the password so I had to get up to get it Just minor things. They seemed totally panicked, unorganized, and crazy busy even though there was like 3 workers and only like 7 customers in the place. Breakfast sandwich was pretty solid for $5.50 and the interior is cool!
