It's the best place I've ever been in America. The service is perfect as well as the delicious food. We are travelers, but it made us feel like a family. I could feel comfortable talking to him, and he is a very kind boss. If I come to Long Island again, I will definitely come again. The food is clean and incredibly delicious. My new favorite bbq food on Long Island. Do not let the location deter you from ordering from here. It is in a gas station, but this is a hidden treasure, deserving of an amazing review. Many other competitors may have one delicious quality dish or side. But at village bbq, every single item is a delicious quality item and I am so glad I over ordered and have leftovers! Let’s talk about the meats first. The brisket is outstanding and cooked perfectly. The chopped Barbecue has a great sauce and texture to the meats and I really enjoyed it. I am a lover of fried plantains and theirs are outstanding, along with the other sides and fries I ordered. I loved my meal so much, I called the restaurant to thank them I was so impressed. Thank you again village bbq I will be back for sure.

I had an amazing experience! I called in and made a relatively large last-minute order for my dad’s birthday, and Village BBQ did not disappoint. The brisket and the brisket bomb sandwich were amazing, and the turkey wings were super moist. The cornbread was some of the best I’ve ever had. Between the food and the wonderful customer service, I’ll definitely be back again.

Great addition to the neighborhood. Picked up dinner for two, ordered the brisket, ribs, and bbq chicken, baked beans, and the mac & cheese. Firstly, everything was very reasonably priced. And most importantly, everything was great. I particularly enjoyed the brisket, I'd say it was perfectly done. I ordered 3 ribs just to try another thing on the menu, they were also tasty and perfectly tender (I'm never able to cook them like that at home). The sides were very good, I particularly liked the baked beans. Everything had a great bbq smoked taste, its definitely authentic barbeque. Looking forward to trying more on the menu. The owner of the business is a friendly older gentleman who after retiring from a corporate job, happened to be known among friends and family for his smoking and grilling. I appreciate a business that comes from a passion, it shows in the quality of the product. To clarify some of the other reviews, this business recently moved from Amityville to Merrick, its now in its own standalone spot. A couple of comments about the wait-time, keep in mind the place just opened, give them a chance to get in the groove.... just plan ahead, good things come to those who wait.

I have to be honest I was really disappointed. My daughter and I were looking to try something new, something comforting. We searched Google and came across many places and this place had all the amazing reviews. A lot of people who posted reviews kept emphasizing it being, "soul food" and soul food is comfort food to me. There is an certain expectation for soul food .It's about 10 miles from me so we decided to do DoorDash instead of traveling. My daughter ordered a 20 piece fried chicken, two 8 ounce containers of mac and cheese, cornbread and banana pudding. I could immediately tell that chicken was not cooked fresh and it was dry. We ordered a 20 piece, were billed for a 20 piece and received 10. We only received two parts of the chicken, drumsticks and thighs,no wings or breasts which you would expect with a large chicken order. The mac and cheese was pretty good and we all enjoyed it. The cornbread looked delicious and I was shocked after my first bite as it tasted like. " cake" not cornbread. Finally, the bread pudding was tasty and my daughter liked it. I guess reviews aren't always accurate I know better next time.

The best brisket ever had!!! This man can cook!!! I tried my wife's pork spare ribs tips and they were juicy and packed with taste!!! My son got the BBQ chicken and he found it amazing saying we need to go back!!! All the sides even the corn was amazing!!! We will be back again and again!!!!!

First time visiting Village BBQ and what a great experience! Was talking with the owner and he was kind enough to give me a sample of the best brisket I have ever had, hands down. The ribs we falling off the bone and delicious. The chopped meat and all the sides we just as delicious too. We will definitely be back for more amazing bbq !!!

I recently just moved to Suffolk county and I have tried a bunch of food places but I can say with total confidence, this is my FAVORITE spot. It’s located in a gas station but do NOT let that steer you away. The food is phenomenal and fresh. Randy was very helpful and kind! I loved each and every item that I ordered and cannot wait to go back!

Amazing!! Great Job Randy! Have been there numerous times ordering in person or on DoorDash and Uber eats and NEVER no disappointments. The only thing I can say is “wait times”is the the only downfalls, you will be waiting about 15min or more for pickup

I ordered a 4 piece bbq chicken dinner here. The lady that was making my plate literally poured bbq sauce and ketchup all over the chicken and put it in microwave and served it as “bbq chicken”. It was completely unsanitary in the gas station. The food was in containers and not cooked fresh and most of the containers that food was in was sweaty. Mostly everything that I did want from the beginning, they had no more of so I was stuck with the undercooked chicken. Overall my experience was not satisfying. The chicken was undercooked and still red in the middle , the vegetables were mushy and not fresh and the Mac and cheese was old. I would not recommend. Nothing seemed fresh it’s all prepackaged.

The rib sandwich was phenomenal and will definitely bring me back to try more! The Mac and cheese was always full of flavor and I would recommend it!
