This place is wonderful. It's such a great alternative to cats in tiny cages at a crowded shelter. All of the cats here get to live in a home like setting and lounge out on fun cat furniture. If you are coming to visit, a drink (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, lemonade) is included with your visit. There are plenty of cat toys to get the kitties interested in playing. If you can't have a cat at home, you can definitely get your kitty fix here. If you are looking to bring home a new family member, they have plenty to choose from. There is also a cut shop in the fron where you can buy cat themed merchandise.

My favorite place! I love the atmosphere and the kitties!! Unlimited drinks and an hour with the kitties for $15 is a great deal. I adopted my baby girl from here and she has made the best addition to my family! Couldn’t say a single bad thing about this place and love and support their mission!!

We love ShabbyTabby. We have been here a few times and this past February adopted our sweet girl Pepper from here. All the staff was incredibly kind, and the cats were super friendly. Considering what some of these cats have been through - it’s truly amazing to see their resilience when given the opportunity for another chance. My family and I are very grateful to the cafe for giving us the chance to fall in love with another kitty after losing our 13 year old boy to Cancer last year. It took us a year to be ready for another furry friend - but when we were ready - we were determined to pick the “best” one from ShabbyTabby. It turned out that our pretty girl ended up picking us! My 6 year old fell in love with her and that was that! A few days later she was making herself Queen of the house. After a few weeks of her getting used to her new home she really became one of the family. We love our little Pepper 🌶 and cannot thank you guys enough for all you do!

Place is very professional and friendly. They aren't going to judge you or yell at you if a cat happens to scratch or nibble, that's just how animals are (as long as you didn't provoke!) They even have bandaids and ointment available for the inevitable! The cats are all chosen for their ability to be comfortable or social, and they do wonderful work taking care of cats who may be missing eyes or otherwise. Drinks are actually pretty good, there's a ton of toys to use you do *not* have to pay for, and you can use the tables for games or work. You can buy treats if you would like to for the cats. There are young and old cats and the place is clearly friendly towards minorities and believes in equality and kindness. Keep it up!

Before visiting I wasn't sure if $15 was going to be worth it. The answer is yes! We made a reservation, which was easy to do and filled out the waivers on-line. When we entered, we were offered a beverage, and then let into the cat area. It's a bit overwhelming at first. Lots of people, lots of cats, and some cat smell (not overwhelming, but my friend commented on it). I immediately sat on the bench next to the tortie. Before I realized it, she crawled into my lap and didn't leave for 30 minutes. I was visiting LI and away from my fur babies, the Cat Cafe was the boost I needed. I will visit again in the future. Update October 2022 I came back to LI to say goodbye to a loved one. The Shabby Tabby had been a soothing balm for my sisters and me. Little secret-if you go at 11am on weekdays (avoid holidays and school days off), you will have the place almost entirely to yourself. The other day, the kitties were getting breakfast when we got there.

Staff is so kind, as expected from fellow cat people!! We loved hanging with the kitties, old and young. Drinks are included in their hourly price and they have “gumball” machines full of treats you can get to feed the cats.

What a wonderful place full of sweet kitties, good iced tea, and friendly, caring staff. These kitties are so well cared for and looking for fur-ever homes. You can easily book time online to spend an hour playing, petting, and snuggling the cats. And when you're done, they have a cute shop in front. I highly recommend going!

The Shabby Tabby is such a wonderful place! The staff are so friendly and kind and care so much for every cat! We love the instagram posts that they make about the cats. They tell stories of how they found their rescues and what their personalities are like. I love spending time with the cats. I paid for 1 hour and ended up extending it to 2 hours and loving every minute petting so many cats and having one named Meatball sit on my lap for about an hour. We found a cat that I loved and we filled out an adoption form and we were able to adopt him after some time passed. We are so happy with our new kitty! He is the best boy and his personality is exactly as they described it! He’s made our lives so much better! These 3 pics are only a fraction of what we’ve taken so far! He is sooo adorable!!

What a wonderful place to visit whether you're looking to adopt or just love hanging with the kitties. Ryan and Melanie are angels who literally create a safe, warm and comforting home to cats who would otherwise wither away in a shelter, forgotten and unloved. They have a special affinity for senior cats and work tirelessly to find forever homes so they can spend their last chapter with a loving family. No cat is left uncared for here, even the "challenging" cases wind up learning to love and be loved, thanks to the staff's dedication, time and patience. Your admission price includes a lovely hot or cold beverage and the hour you spend interacting with the felines will fly by because you will have such a great experience. We travel from Queens every few months to visit and never leave without stopping at the fun displays of cat-themed items available for purchase. You can even sponsor a cat with a modest donation to help defray cost of their care. Exciting recent news is that the owners will be launching their very own cat rescue in 2024 so this is a HUGE bonus for homeless cats in the community. Wish there were more of these caring, wonderful places in every town!

The Shabby Tabby, holds a special place in my heart. After adopting 3 cats from the cafe, I still come back to love the other cats still looking for their forever homes. Each and everyone one of these cats at the cafe are special and unique. Their personalities leave unforgettable toe bean prints on your heart. Even if you’re not able to adopt, or not looking to adopt at all, come and show these angels all the love, they more than anyone, deserve it.

My son loves to come here we've been here multiple times. I feel it's the best value cat cafe you can find because you pay for an hour and you get unlimited drinks. They also have a bunch of various souvenir options. They have so many cats and are always getting new ones and adopting out current cats that have lived in the cafe. The cat area is very spacious and the cats seem happy!

Such a unique and special place where your visit fee goes directly to saving sweet little lives. How many places can say that? Ryan and her team have done an amazing job saving over a thousand cats and she takes in ones with medical issues and that are seniors. There’s a great area in the front with cat themed merchandise also. If you’re a cat lover, this place is for you!

A great place to relax, hangout and maybe find your next furry best friend. I've visited many times and always have a pleasant experience. The staff really cares for these cats and you can tell they have so much love in what they do. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable about the animals even with so many different cats coming in and out as they find homes. These people are so wonderful that I don't have the right words to express how really awesome they are to the customers and cats. It never smells like there are 30+ cats there and they clean regularly, sweeping up excess cat hair. Also the Pink Lemonade is delicious! If you're shying away because you don't want to adopt, that's okay, visiting helps the cats to socialize and the low price of admission helps keep the cafe running. They don't pressure you to adopt! And even better, if you do want to adopt then they will guide you. They know the personalities and have helped match many cats to forever homes. I applied to adopt and the cat sat in front of me as I filled out the forms. He went from living on the street to happily purring on our couch thanks to The Shabby Tabby! I wouldn't have met him if it wasn't for them posting a cute picture on the cafe's Instagram. So if you want to adopt or just hang out and play with some cats and sometimes kittens, Visit The Shabby Tabby!

Beautiful kitties, my partner and I had an amazing time today! The staff was excellent. It was impressive how clean they kept was considering a lot of the cats were messy eaters! Amazing 🤍

Fabulous place with owners who truly love cats. Just adopted a kitty. Picking him up in a few days.

not...really a cafe. the kitties were fine but i don't get why this is called a cat cafe. you pay $15 per person an hour to sit in a room with cats and get a homemade quality drink. it's so silent in there, there are moments where everyone just looks at each other and wonder what else there is to do. no food, which makes me wonder why they call it a cafe. it wasn't that bad and the cats were adorable, but i wouldn't spend another $15 for that awkward experience. stay healthy, cats!

My children and I love going there and playing with the cats. So much so we adopted 3. Meatball, Parmesan and Iris. Thanks for our cat family.

The aesthetic of the cafe is so cute and welcoming! This is the best place to go for kitty therapy and the staff is friendly and won’t hesitate to answer any questions you have. It’s clean and they care for the cats so well 10/10

Went here for Sunday morning cat yoga. Awesome experience. Place is unbelievablely clean considering 30+ cats live there. Cats are adorable. Wish I could take one home but I have dogs. 😔 definitely check this place out if you can.

went in with my two friends as walk-ins, were greeted with a nice employee and it was such a cute place. my friend and i are mildly allergic to cats so we took a benadryl before going, and since the place was clean it was of no trouble to us! no strong scents, was tidy and the cats used a separate room to do their business, so nothing was overwhelming, contrary to shelters and what you'd expect smell-wise! the cats were super cute and a couple just hopped onto my lap as soon as i sat down. lovely way to spend an hour, 15$ was somewhat reasonable considering the unlimited drinks. a few of the cats tussled with each other a couple times but other than that they were angels. it was pure serotonin tbh, definitely recommend at least once!

I've been here multiple times and I always leave in such a good mood. Everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable about each cat and their individual personalities. There is so much for them to do, so many toys and beds and the whole place is clean and welcoming. Even if you're not in the market to adopt a new kitty, I highly recommend stopping in and hanging out with them for a little while. It's nice to know that all the fur babies are being well taken care of at all times. Will definitely be returning!
