For starters my pictures dont do this place justice. I love this park. It is so peaceful. The opening to Jamaica Bay is serene. This is an ideal place to meditate, take in nature while walk/jogging, or just sitting by the rocks and listen to the waves crashing. They also have bike giveaways periodically for children. This is the best thing that has happened to Brooklyn in a long time.

My new favorite place. I visited during the middle of the day on a Tuesday so the park was quiet. Excellent place to bike or run. I’d be curious to return in the summer on a weekend but for now I’d definitely recommend getting out there if you want a quiet and reflective space in the city.

Park has two parts. Smaller one is easier to reach from Belt if you ride from Coney Island. Bigger one harder to walk around and very limited parking space. No shades if you are here in the middle of a hot sunny day. Be aware that just a few small trees there and picnic tables with umbrellas can be limited. It's great for someone who loves bikes

Perfect place for run, walk or bike riding. It's quiet and a beautiful view. Best time wod be in the morning to be able to get a parking spot or park by Gateway Center and walk over.

Great place to exercise and bring your family. There are long smooth trails with neatly trimmed grass and plants around it and is also next to the highway and a body of water. If you want more of a challenge there are steep hills with gravel and rocks. 10/10

The most quiet park in NYC. Perfect place for long walks or riding your bike. If you forget your bike they rent bikes for free. They don’t allow pets, alcohol or bbq. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the nice views or to run/bike. The bike paths are either roads or gravel. There are a lot of toilets and resting areas. Bring your own food and water!

It's a really clean park. Would definitely return to do more biking. It has a nice paved bike path with gentle ups/down going around the entire perimeter of the park. Some parts are narrow and can only fit 2 bikes side by side. There are some rocky trails that can be avoided, it's not meant for kids. This park has two sections with two separate entrances and parking areas. The smaller side has an active pier with people fishing/crabbing. Riders/hikers can pass alongside the bike path next to the belt parkway to move between the two sections. You technically leave the park and re-enter. There's no open grass area so there's nowhere to run around or fly a kite. Warning signs around the park advise visitors to stay on trail since there are ticks everywhere. Ample the picnic tables with umbrellas around the park. Lots of porter potties, so there's a good chance you'll find a clean one if you're early. I wish they had running water instead of pumps. During low tide, you can climb down the shoreline to explore and pick up shells if you don't mind the squishy floor.

Not crowded. Very clean even the potter potty. You can have a picnic in the picnic benches with umbrellas or ride a bike for free with their bike rental.

Super pretty and very well kept, with amazing views of the NYC and Downtown Brooklyn skyline. Great park to jog or take a light hike.

There are two separate parks. One at Pennsylvania Avenue and one at Fountain Avenue. I frequent the Fountain Avenue park. Its not a picnic park, they're no shade trees and no grass areas afforded to the public. No pets, alcohol nor grilling is allowed. There's a perimeter tarmac trail approximately 2.6 miles around with mild elevations, suitable for running, walking or cycling and they're interior gravel trails with elevation. There are some picnic benches throughout the gravel trails and along the parts of the tarmac trail. There's a pier 1.2 miles from the entrance. There's a bicycle library for no charge. They're no restrooms but porta toilets are available. I use the park for exercise. I walk the trails. My only issue is the hours of operation. It's open from 8 am until 7 pm for last entry and kicking you out half an hour after that in the summer and dwindles to 4 pm last entry by summer's end. Enjoy and be safe.

Small park with nice water views for a short walk, bike ride or picnic. There is also a pier for fishing on one side of the park. Glad they don't charge an entry fee, it's so small I don't think anyone would pay to go in. There are 2 small parking lots.
