Small, great looking store with a good selection of retro games and collectibles. Not everything displayed is for sell. There are pinball machines and pc’s available you can rent to play on. The owner is friendly and helpful and has great knowledge of geeky things.

Edit: They’re lying. Whoever wrote that response should be ashamed and embarrassed to lie. No one was in his store when I arrived. No one was there when I received the trade in value. To lie to that extent that I created a scene? I told you in your face thank you but no thanks on the value and I left. This place is a complete and utter scam. Save your money and buy on eBay or literally anywhere else. Trade in prices are horrendous. They don’t give offers over the phone to bring you into the store if you want cash they takeoff 50%. Only for them to sell it for even more than you could find on eBay. It was such a waste of time to come in today. Everything inside is so over priced. If you like to overpay for games by all means come here. There are tons of mom and pop game stores that don’t try to blatantly rob their customers like here. Cashier that was there today is pretentious and thinks he knows so much and how “rare” the stuff they have is. Brother half the games you have for over $50 are 15-20 at GameStop RIGHT NOW. I’ll pass on this spot. I’d rather throw my money in a ditch.

Great shop for video games, big selection for multiple gaming units as well as gaming units. There are 2 PCs to rent by the hour to play games. Owner was very nice, come support local small businesses. We will definitely be back. I enjoyed playing the free Pac Man/Galaga while my daughter picked out a game to purchase.

I visited this place recently for the first time after learning of it from the "Mort's Garage" YouTube channel. This place is awesome! It has a great selection of games from various eras and the staff is great! I went there with the intention to look around and maybe pick up one or two games but I ended up spending almost $200 on a stack of NES and Game Gear games. I also picked up Darkwing Duck for GameBoy. They have plenty of boxed games and consoles as well as a few NES "grails" like Snow Brothers, MetalStorm, Cowboy Kid, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers 2, etc. The prices are fair and they had what I think is a really good selection. Especially for those who collect NES, SNES, and Genesis games. They also have plenty of millennial faire like original Xbox stuff, GameCube, PS2, and more from that era. I only have two criticisms. One of them is slightly inconvenient and the other is admittedly nit picky on my part. First, if you're interested in trades, selling, or working out a deal on a purchase, you can only really do it when the owner is at the shop. If I remember correctly the owner is not there during the weekend or on Wednesdays. So, that could be a little inconvenient to carve out time to go there to sell or trade games; especially if you do not live close by and work a regular 9-5. Second, there is a lot of pristine boxed consoles displayed on a shelf on the left wall. Unfortunately, none of them are for sale! They are pieces from the owners personal collection. They really do make the store look nice but I got my hopes up for some of them before realizing they were off limits. I realize this is totally nit picking though! Consoles on the shelf behind the front counter and in a display case to the right of the front counter are for sale! All together, I REALLY like this store and it is great to see retro stores like this in So Cal without having to go to Frank & Sons. I will be coming back here again! Would definitely recommend!

I want to thank CJ at Hidden Gem for always taking care of my retro gaming needs. I purchased some hard to find items like the ones in the photo. They have great Nintendo switch drift repairs and gameboy Sp reshells that come out fantastic! I would definitely recommend this place for all retro game lovers. They have an outstanding collection at an unbelievable price.

I don’t usually write review but my first time here and out of the video game stores I’ve been too this one stood out to me. Punky helped me out and he was nothing but helpful and kind to me, he even threw in an oem gamecube memory card with my purchase for free! The store is very neat has free play options, neat appearance, and friendly customer service! Please give this store a visit if you’re into video games you won’t be disappointed! They’ve also been open for only a little under a year so show them love!

This shop is awesome. Very professional. Great selection of new and old games & consoles. The employees are very helpful, friendly, & knowledgeable. I try to stop by once a week to at least play some Pinball. If you're a gamer you'll love this place.
