Okay,
I
have
come
back
to
my
original
review
which
was
as
follows
(I
will
explain
my
return
and
edit
below):
"No
stars
at
all!
This
was
the
worst
restaurant
experience
I
have
had
in
YEARS.
My
companion
ordered
her
two
items,
and
I
ordered
an
appetizer
for
us
to
share,
and
my
entre.
She
received
her
food;
after
45
minutes
I
had
to
find
the
waiter
to
ask
where
my
food
was.
The
appetizer
came
out
about
ten
minutes
later.
They
cleared
the
table
to
pack
up
my
friend's
left
overs
.
.
.
and
I
still
had
not
received
my
entre.
We
had
been
there
an
hour
and
ten
minutes.
The
owner
asked
us
if
everything
was
okay,
and
I
told
him
it
was
not
and
how
very
disappointed
I
was,
and
asked
that
they
pack
my
entre
to
go.
He
said
he
would
'take
care
of
it.'
I
guess
he
meant
packing
my
food:
there
certainly
was
no
adjustment
to
the
bill.
I
WILL
NOT
be
going
back.
How
terribly
disappointing.
And
it
is
not
like
they
were
busy;
the
restaurant
was
about
25%
occupied.
It
is
a
splurge
to
go
out
to
eat;
this
dinner
was
about
as
disappointing
as
it
could
get."
Now
that
I
am
not
starving
and
upon
reflection,
I
believe
this
was
actually
more
a
genuine
cultural
misunderstanding
than
poor
service.
Middle
eastern
food
is
ordered
to
be
shared;
we
ordered
our
meal
this
time
as
Americans
--
each
ordering
individual
items
as
my
friend
is
a
strict
vegetarian
and
I
am
not.
Her
order
consisted
of
a
soup
and
what
was
listed
on
the
menu
as
a
'salad.'
Those
items
are
traditionally
served
first,
before
even
an
appetizer,
and
while
I
did
not
order
soup,
the
'salad'
would
be
a
shared
item.
Hence,
the
appetizer
was
not
brought
while
she
slowly
ate
the
salad
--
and
I
suspect
the
staff
assumed
we
were
eating
a
leisurely,
three-hour
meal
(also
very
traditional).
So
then,
of
course,
the
chicken
tagine
was
not
being
served
until
the
appetizer
was
done!
I
do
think
the
wait
staff
should
have
inquired
as
to
the
order
of
the
food
when
they
saw
I
was
not
eating.
.
.
.
but
it
is
okay.
I
change
my
review,
and
chalk
it
up
to
cultural
misunderstanding,
but
suggest
that
when
you
order
make
it
clear
what
your
'meal
plan'
is
to
the
server
if
you
have
some
appetizer
items
that
are
being
eaten
as
someone's
main
course.
