Super nice large stretch of beach. Lots of area to swim, kite, or any water activity. The sand is wonderfully soft and the width of the beach is great. Hardly even a rock in sight! The beach is overall only partially developed so there’s a lot of space to set up and spread out. Not so crowded in some areas which is really nice. When it’s windy though, it can be pretty busy with kiters, windsurfers, wing foilers, and more!

There is something for everyone here. small bars and restaurants, a great long beach for nice walks, a great kite spot and clear water for swimming.

Playa Cabarete is definitely on of the best beaches in Dominican Republic, I strongly recommend it, if you want to relax the beach is really spacious, here there is not need to be close to other people, it’s great for wind surfing, if you want to enjoy of a long walk this is the place, you can walk for an hour without getting to the end. There are restaurants and bar. Just a suggestion if you want to rent chairs and umbrella check with different vendors first, some are lot more expensive than others.

One of the most beautiful beaches on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. This beach has many activities to keep you busy all day. There are many restaurants and bars for dinning and having your favorite drink. So plan your next vacation to DR and visit the North Shore.

Nice beach but too many vendors constantly trying to sell you something. It gets a bit annoying, especially when they are all selling pretty much the dame things, especially jewelry items.

Nice beach, really calm, place with great views, good place for water and wind sports, and a good selection of businesses.

Great beach to just relax or find a fun time on. Volleyball kite wind or foil surfing plus sunfish and catamaran available for rent. Pretty sure you can convince a local fisherman to sell you fish or take you out on a trip Dominican style. Lots of food choices and people watching. The softest sand and easy walking. Pretty clean too. Site doesn’t allow pics for this location to see for yourself

Beach was beautiful. Normal afternoon winds bring out the kite surfers near Kite beach. Lots of bars and restaurants along part of the beach.

We love playa Cabarete since we arrived! Having all those restaurants, bars and shops right there at the beach really makes this place unique. It is the capital of water sports of the Caribbean and you can do kitesurf, surf, windsurf, hikes and a lot of eco tours around. The vibes at this beach are for me unique comparing to other destinations of Dominican Republic. The community, its people are like legends here jajajaja since they have been around so long. Definitely a destination worth to visit when visiting Dominican Republic.

Went in February and it was beautiful! Waves were not strong at all and you could walk out 20 yards and still touch the bottom with your feet. Clean water with a nice blue tone. Waves definitely get more rough on the west side. Very nice local vibe with plenty to eat and drink nearby. Parking was a bit difficult to find but there are a few paid lots along the main road and you can walk to the beach. Wish I stayed near this beach instead of Playa Dorada. Just a better vibe and the water was better in my opinion. There are sellers on the beach but if you don't make eye contact and just say no, they don't pressure you. Would highly recommend visiting. We didn't see anyone kitesurfing though.

Great beach for kite surfing. Consistent winds. Super soft sand. Quite a strong undertow however.
