A friend and I were meeting up in Canyon Lake for a quick trip and didn't want to drive thirty minutes to one of the chain hotels, which also had rates higher than we wanted to pay. I found the Holiday Lodge on Canyon Lake website which had clear information and good photographs. After reading a LOT of positive reviews on Trip Advisor, I booked. It was a great choice! We were close to the location we were visiting in Canyon Lake, check-in was super easy, and we had a very comfortable stay. The room had everything we needed and was (as noted in many other reviews) super clean and well-maintained. The individual unit air conditioner kept the room nice and cool, and the addition of the ceiling fan was a nice treat. I definitely recommend the Holiday Lodge on Canyon Lake if you want something convenient to the lake that's a good value for your money, and friendly hosts.

This is our second time staying here for our anniversary trip and I swear we'll never stay anywhere else! The rooms are beautiful and have that homey feel we were looking for. Thoughtful things places in the room really add to the charm, like the books, the chess board, electric heater with the fireplace view window and a cute kitchenette. It overlooks the lake, so the view is to die for. We spent every morning watching the sun rise on the lake and the nights constellation hunting (the view of the stars is spectacular). Mark is so sweet and accommodating. This is perfect for those who are looking to get away and unplug. And it's only a 20 min drive into New Braunfels if you need a grocery store like HEB, but I highly recommend trying the local restaurants within a 5 min drive of the hotel (there are a lot of good ones!) This is by far our favorite home away from home.

Excellent stay, clean, quiet, wonderful view of the lake. Mark (the owner) was awesome! They live on-site and are very attentive. I prefer to stay and support our Mom & Pop hotels/motels whenever possible. This one was a 10/10 experience.

Wife & I stayed 3 nights. We met Mark upon arrival and he was extremely kind and informative. We know the area very well having had an RV for years. The room was very nice, bed comfy, and bathroom was roomy and clean. Everything worked very including fridge, a/c, and coffee maker. Outside area not fancy but very nice as well. 4 stars not a dig, but wish it were closer to a swimming area on the lake. Perfect however if there to fish and have boat.

Cute little place next to a free public boat ramp. The rooms are nice and clean. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the bed and pillows are. There is plenty of room to hang out on the patio or by the outdoor grills. The parking lot was big enough to hold 7 trucks with trailers and still have room to park more vehicles. I would definitely recommend Holiday Lodge on Canyon Lake!

Holiday Lodge is exactly as shown and as said in their postings/website. We sure enjoyed our stay. We liked the room very much. Mark & Jennifer, the owners, sure listened and saw to any concern we had (just one). It was perfect for us. Wish we could have stayed longer. Really nice.

Such a great hotel in a beautiful area. The owner us when we arrived and had a ton of helpful information on restaurants and things to do in the area. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is a very short walk away from the lake and right next to a boat ramp. It's centrally located so you can explore all of Canyon Lake. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

What a wonderful surprise! Picture of the outside does not do it justice. Rooms are very well decorated. Beds comfortable, shower is hot with great pressure. A hidden gem!

Clean comfortable room. Very friendly staff Close to everything! AC was a window unit and kept the room cold even with 100-degree summer heat. Full-size fridge is a plus.. We will definitely rebook anytime we are in the area.

We enjoyed three nights at this lodge, and absolutely loved every minute. The view of Canyon Lake from the deck is breathtaking, with just a short two minute walk to Boat Ramp and dock #1. Mark, the owner, is courteous, hospitable, and respectful. Every room has been plushly renovated with all the comforts of home. The interior decor is romantically inviting, and kept immaculately clean. The hotel grounds include a large family picnic area with many grills and tables. We saw several deer come right on the property. The surrounding location included wonderful restaurants, hiking trails and boating. We can't wait to return to the Holiday Lodge at Canyon Lake!

My husband and I spent two nights here to do nothing and we absolutely loved it! The location is perfect - close enough to the lake to walk to (although, the short walk is moderately steep) and well secluded from traffic. The room itself was cozy and the bed was awesome (plushy soft). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook including pots/pans, plates, glasses, a dual burner tabletop stove, fridge, and microwave, I especially loved the air conditioner - it worked well and had a remote.

A really nice place off the beaten path, quiet and close to the lake. We had room 8 with nice deck chairs and a lake view. Very clean and a good king bed. The manager was very friendly and helpful.

I really didn't know what to expect as I booked this room last minute, based on price and availability. Honestly, the setting is really nice...walk up the hill to see the lake. Several deer were grazing when I walked out to look at the lake and showed no fear of people. Rooms are somewhat rustic and have everything you could want. I slept like a baby. Is it the Waldorf Astoria? No, certainly not. But it IS super cute and tranquil. I received a call from Mark while I was traveling and since I was going to be quite late, he was kind enough to check me in over the phone and leave paperwork and keys in the room for me. Super nice and friendly!
