You are guaranteed to have literally no space to move. When people were not pushing and shoving me into other people all night, I was stuck standing in the middle of everyone with no room to even move my arms. They obviously let way too many people in. Plus, the entry to this club is so excessive and long. I get the whole security thing, but they acting like it’s some exclusive mafia lounge and everyone MUST be thoroughly searched or else are denied access. Do not recommend ‼️

55 dollars for overcrowded, terrible music taste AND horrible security and management. Friend got kicked out just because he said ‘it smells like vomit’. Got back in and was sent for a walk for no reason and wasn’t allowed to come back in saying he was intoxicated when he was conscious. Manager came and said he has every right to kick out people for whatever reason and took photos of us for records. A lot more people got kicked out for no reason. Will NEVER go back!

Worst experience ever! Legit paid $40 dollars for a tickets tonight but was kicked out within the first 30min of entering. Purchased only two drinks, one for myself and a friend, but when I openly complemented a random Asian women with black hair who had arm tattoos I was immediately kicked out. As it turns out she worked there and and assumed since i complemented her loudly (due to the music being so very loud) I was clearly intoxicated. I myself have worked as a bartender and know when to identify someone as being overly intoxicated and someone just being friendly. As soon as she told me to leave I agreed as I didn’t want to make a scene but then she proceeded to ban my friend as well! She was utterly unprofessional and needs to learn the difference between people just being nice and being drunk! Rest of the staff was amazingly professional and polite, even the security guards who walked us out said he didn’t think we were intoxicated. Truly expected better, and 1000% think whoever that women is needs to be educated or the very least learn how to react to a compliment.

if you want to actually have a nightlife experience then DONT come here. Egotistical and over confident. Too many layers of security and too price for an experience like that. Average music, horrible venue. Got kicked out because I was sitting down, while some other guy got let back in even though he was throwing up. The air is hard to breathe and the floor is overheated. Don’t bother, there are better places to go. Anywhere that checks your ticket 3 times and stamps your wrist twice cant be good.

Went to Marco Polo--had a good time but for a paid event at such a popular venue the experience could've been better. Drinks were way overpriced (charged my friend 24 for a vodka cranberry) and not strong, very long lines at the bar, many of the cocktails on the menu they did not actually have, music was way too loud, and pool was pretty cold.

One of the best places in Sydney to Party ! The place is quite huge and you have various options within ! The vibe and atmosphere is probably one of the best in Sydney ! But the only negative here is the security staff as they are quite rude and don't know how to treat people appropriately !

Security staff targeted the wrong people (my group) multiple times (one of them due to: “having too much fun”). Security were not nice, one of the hosts was pretty cool but told me not to argue even though I’m RSA certificated and was told that I was intoxicated which I wasn’t. Also I had to tell them multiple times to return my ID after they put me a “warning” for doing nothing. Another host gave us a lesson (which we didn’t ask her morale classes) about drugs.

First club I went to while visiting Australia. Went on a Thursday night, great vibes! 10/10. Even came back a week later because we had such a fun time. People there were there to dance and have a good time. No weirdos or creepy men in sight! The only strange thing was how intense security was. After numerous occasions visiting the ivy, it seems fitting to provide a summary review. I have enjoyed visiting the ivy pool bar for a work event during the day, and also for drinks and pizza in the evenings 🍸🍕 The concept of the pool bar is unique and attractive, and a great place to bring friends visiting from interstate! There is often DJs and great mood lighting. The vibe is very different night to night depending on the crowd, however. The ideal seats are usually booked, but there are packages you can reserve for a special occasion. We enquired for a hens but didn’t find it an inviting offer for a smaller group. Also worth noting that the dance floor has deteriorated in quality of music and energy post-pandemic, so wouldn’t recommend coming unless you have a large group to start the dance floor with you! On the whole though, ivy is always nice for a drink, but not my preference for dancing 💃🏽

Facilities were average, food was disappointing, overcooked and tasteless they must be banking on everybody having covid at some stage and their taste buds haven’t recovered. The cocktails were terrible you could tell they weren’t made to the correct method as well as being low tide in your glass, you leave this venue feeling ripped off just like their staff being underpaid. It makes sense why every venue in there is the same, very overrated one star is too much for this low profile hang out!

Worst experience ever. If I could rate this place below zero I would. After paying over $100 for tickets, we began walking in when we got pulled aside and told to leave because my partner HAD HIS HAIR BRAIDED. After asking why it was such a problem, they had no explanation besides “house rules”. His hair is a cultural style. As far as we’re concerned it’s plain racism. My friends, my partner and myself are completely appalled by this experience and I will certainly never step foot near the venue again.

Absolute please to be dining at Merivale venues. The standard and freshness of service is maintained across all venues. Like the foood was so frikking delicious . The staff is very attentive and proactive. The drinks came to the table crisp and undiluted. Which I love.

The prices here can be a bit misleading. What you see on the screens or menus isn't the final price they charge you. They'll put on some extra fees under the name of "tax" or something. And get this, your house drink in a disposable plastic cup will set you back a whopping $15! Oh, and don't even get me started on the dress code. You could be dancing right next to some dude in shorts, no tshirt, and smelling like onions mixed with Dior Savage. You know those security folks at the entrance? They act like they're guarding the Ukraine/Russia border or something. And as for the staff, let's just say hospitality isn't their strongest skill. Smiles? Yeah, they went out of style around 1985. Seriously, the only people who seem to love this venue are the ones who haven't traveled abroad or experienced better spots.

IVY disco club is a great place if you genuinely wanna party and sweat it out. Drinks price are reasonable and the cover charge is $25 with is fair for me. If you are with a group of girls, you are still fine as one of you will still take care of you. Security is efficient. Overall a fun place. Thumbs up. Apologies for poor qualities. After a very long time went there on Thursday night and had a great time. Nice big club with multiple floors and good music, great crowd and the security team seem to be very polite and friendly compared to last time. We went there around 9.30 pm with free entry and only few people were there. But by 10.30 the club was full and the main dance floor was packed. Worth trying out especially on a Thursday night.

The worst venue with the most horrible staff. Seriously this venue has major culture issues among the staff whereby they thrive off treating patrons like dirt. Arrogant, elitist, nasty. They kick people out for no reason when at full capacity so they can make more money. Do not waste your time here.

A clubbing experience that is out of the ordinary! Multi level areas, with a rooftop and pool (closed for swimming) ! So many different places to discover, with trendy music and so many bar areas! Incredibly busy and a bit on the young side when it comes to the general crowd age. But definitely worth a visit to experience it first hand! The $10 entry was worth it.

Had the pleasure of attending a function at Ivy Penthouse. I was pleasantly surprised, the venue was pretty cool and very well laid out. I would definitely consider having a function there in the future.

I was just trying to explain to the guard guy and apparently somehow I sent a sign of getting physical so I couldn’t get in. Then I went back hme picked up my ID as all my friends are all partying in there, another lady kindly told me that the ticket is only valid before 1030. So thx Ivy wasted almost 5 hours in total in my life. I would rather go fight a goblin then hv sex w it rather than go Ivy now😄😄😄

The overall night club is amazing but the bar tender (male) scammed my friend for 2 drinks (vodka pineapple) costing $40. I said something to him and he quickly replied that he had over charged us and asked if we wanted another drink or a refund. Always check the price of your drinks before paying.

It was ok, a lot of check points to get into the actual club. The bar for the event also stop serving alcohol an hour before the event finished. Pretty average with a narrow dancefloor too. To be honest it wouldn't be my first choice 🤷🏼‍♀️

This place is racist. Me and my mates brought tickets and got through the first round of security, they came running after my mate with no explanation saying they saw something on camera and then changed it to house rules. After 5min of asking what the problem was and not getting an answer they finally tell us because of his hair style. The security was getting in our face saying it is house rules. Where does it say that cultural hairstyle is banned. And we still haven’t got our refund.

We had a Christmas party at the Ivy, The venue was suitable for large volumes of people. Hundreds. It has multiple floors, a huge dance floor and stage and multiple bars. Equally there were spaces where you could have a more personal conversation. The staff were friendly and the food - tapas was delicious. A fun night was had by all.

Went to this club for a 21st birthday on a Saturday the staff greeting us to go in were nice but when we left the club with our stamps still on our arms looking for our friends the security guards outside were making extremely rude remarks, making me and some friends feel very uncomfortable when I was just trying to explain we are waiting for the two people who were walking towards us and he said I have no clue what you are saying get out of here we all paid the $35.37 to get in then around $190 each on drinks just to get treated poorly by security outside it was disgusting. I went to a business event at Ivy penthouse. Very nice service and nice setting, but the food wasn't nice. Too salty, cold and rare steak which gave me a terrible marathon to the toilet after 1.5hrs

I was a little nervous about coming after reading the reviews & being from interstate but having already purchased a ticket for Crazy P and making my way to the venue I was really happy with the ID/ticket scanning process. All nice staff. I soon found my way to the iconic rooftop. The rooftop was beautifully lit with an array of colours and I was instantly transported into the vibe. Many great spots to watch and dance to the DJs and I never had to wait for a drink.

Prob the best club in Sydney. We went there twice and both times we had a good experience (compared to other clubs in Sydney) The staff wouldn’t ruin your experience and they’re actually quiet helpful. They’ve got a pool outside that you can swim in as long as you’ve got swimsuits otherwise they kick you out lol. The music is OK but not anything especial.

Ivy is my favourite place to dance salsa & bachata on Wednesdays. Ivy is huge, and every night they have a different party going on. It also has an amazing pool where they also throw parties. It is actually one of the most well-known nightclub and bar of the city. Thursday nights are cover-free, so if you want to save some dollars Thursdays and Wednesdays might be your nights :)

It was lovely at the pool bar but a little tired. Tiles missing on the pool, rust on the pizza holder, not keen on the cover they put on the wine bottle so you don't know if you actually have the wine you ordered and you can't tell as it has a cable tie holding it together..so very strange ..especially when you pay a lot of money for it....go back to wine buckets. The food was nice but not exciting. Overall it's not a place I would go back to..i feel it's more geared up for night time..when no one cares about what they are having.

Loved the vibe here! Awesome levels and staff were happy and friendly. Drinks were reasonably priced and music is always a winner. The pool is beautiful and the setup is great! Seats, couches and a bar right up the top ? would definitely recommend! Door charges sometimes but it's worth it! So nice and heaps of variety.

The club is really nice and mostly outside so plenty of fresh air coming in and out. It’s definitely not cheap but you can actually see what the difference is compared to other clubs. Good music house in the main section and hip hop was in an upstairs section and huge smoking balcony too.

The staff manning the entrance were a bit dismissive and rude, probably because they have to deal with a lot of anti social behaviour. Didnt feel very welcome. On Friday the music was very drum and bass with no noticable tunes and most of clientele were early 20's I'd say. Large rooms with a cool feel, not too crowded.

We came early, the person at the front did not stamp our discout entrance, we had to run all around to get back to the entrance to get our free drink. Around 23:30, a guy came over to ask my friend to get to the elevator to chat over. He told her she was drunk and it was over for the night. She was ok and just had a shoe problem. While our night was over, other really young intoxicated girl stayed in the club. Pretend they do not robb you over with the prices and you have fun and you should be ok. Huge deception, do not recommand

The club as itself isn't too bad. But how can I pay 50.55$ for 4 shots of tequila? It's not even possible to split that amount by four... Wouldn't recommend to buy any drinks over there if you don't want to get scammed. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be the only one who had a bad experience with the bartenders. Better have a good pregame with your friends.

Over crowded. Paid for tickets online and still had to wait at the back of the line. Lady's toilet wait was 30mins. Ordering a drink at the bar even longer if you didn't push yourself to the front. Security was decorations. Overall worse place after COVID. Do better!!

Really disappointed, group booking 6 weeks in advance with credit card down. Arrived on time,no seats, no table, we were directed to stand out the back away from everyone one.

I love everything about this place. Ivy pool lounge is especially amazing. I’d love to personally speak to the manager to compliment them on their employee choices. The blonde haired man who worked at the pool lounge when I was there was amazing, the runner who’s name was ‘Zalik’ was great. My boyfriend and I just got off the plane, we were in black sweatpants on our way to the club with his cousin who got us tickets. We wanted to check out the so called "awesome club" but unfortunately we were stopped at the door. The security guards were really aggressive about it too "you can't walk in like that, thid isn't a gym" they didn't even let us talk it through with his cousin outside of the club, they insisted on us leaving the STREET they're on. What a terrible first night in Sydney. I highly do not recommend this place.

The pool at ivy precint is one of the iconic places in sydney. Its called the ivy pool. The place is open until 3am, however the bar closes at around 1am. Overall a great evening spent here

My work had our Christmas party there, and at the end of the night I had accidentally injured my food on some broken glass. Special mention to Lorena & Aishwarya who took extra special care of me - these two are lovely, caring, and work very hard! Their manager should give them both a raise, they went above and beyond to make sure I was okay. We had a great night at the Ivy - brilliant staff <3

The most spacious and beautiful night club in Sydney. Best to go when there are events for particular electronic music genres. Regular Friday and Saturday nights are too jam packed.

One of the best club in the city, Lost Sunday is the best night in my opinion if you love house and electronic music.

Last night at ivythrusday I was in the R&B room and the bartender that was working one of the bars I believe her name was Lara….. MADE MY WHOLE NIGHT. She was outstanding not just quick and efficient working through the lines so I didn’t have to miss too much fun she was also so kind with a big smile on her face no matter who came to her bar.
