Beautiful place and amazing farm. Great and lots of food. I would say it is overpriced, since it does not have the service you would expect at these prices. Mainly there was one french woman helping dinner and lunch that from the beginning was quite rude, judgmental and made us all very uncomfortable. While the rest of the service was lovely, and extremely helpful, her attitude destroyed the experience for our group. It is not a kids friendly place, (the kids could enjoy it so much since there are lots of things to see and do in the farm), but not a place to go with them.

This place is truly incredible! Although photos of the property are stunning, you have to experience it yourself to really feel the charm. The rooms are so unique and well decorated, yet still maintain comfort. The food is incredible. All ingredients come from the grounds or are locally sourced, and you can really taste it. Every meal was perfectly curated. Everyone that works at the property is so welcoming, and full of knowledge. If you are a horse lover - this is the place for you! I have never seen happier or healthier horses in my life - it is so refreshing. I definitely recommend doing a hack (trail ride), as this will give you a beautiful tour of the land. If you are not a horse lover- there are so many activities for you. It is great for any kind of travel (family, romantic, etc.) and is the perfect place to do a buy-out for a small event/family function. I left the hotel already planning my next stay. I 100% recommend visiting Finca La Donaira - you will not regret it!

We were visiting from NYC and have traveled to many small boutique hotels and can honestly say that La Donaira is a very special place. If you have the privilege of staying here don’t miss the opportunity. The service is impeccable and super friendly. We were a family of 4 traveling with our teen kids during the holidays. The rooms are super nice and cozy, and the common areas were we spent most of the time are just amazing, beautiful living room area, outdoor gardens, terrace etc.  The indoor pool, the sauna and cold plunge pool became part of our afternoon routines. The food is all farm to table and its delicious and they can accommodate any needs. One particular highlight was the in house sommelier and all the off the beaten path nice organic wines that he procures. We ended up staying 4 nights and the time flew by. Hiking, horseback riding should not be missed. La Donaira is about 10min up on an unpaved road from El Gastor, they can take you up and down every time on their SUVs if you need, we ended up having an SUV rental which I enjoyed driving up and down.

A rare place to stay. Excellent food, homy atmosphere, natural horsemanship and meditation with donkeys. Unique herbal garden the best spa we know. Only the beds could be a bit softer and coming and leaving the complex more organized. But still, my favorite place.

Some highlights after a 5-night stay: 1 - Food. Every night was like dining at a Michelin-rated restaurant. The food is mostly sourced from their organic farm and creatively prepared. Breakfast, lunch and dinner (all included!) were daily joys. After one day, we changed our plans so we could eat all our meals from their kitchen. 2 - Wine. The pairings were phenomenal, presented wonderfully by the fantastic sommelier. 3 - Service. The attentiveness, courtesy and enthusiasm of the staff is out of this world. 4 - Spa. Perhaps the most beautiful indoor pool in Spain. 5 - Rooms and beds. You won't want to leave the room. Be ready to nap in the afternoons! 6 - Views. Word can't do justice. Check out the photos. This is just a really special place. It delivers the personal attention and charm of a world class bed & breakfast with the amenities of a world class resort. We planned our trip to Spain around visiting Finca La Donaira, so our expectations couldn't have been higher. We planned ahead, spending time as a family selecting the experiences on site that got us most excited. We emailed back and forth with the staff numerous times to plan the perfect itinerary for our stay. And we enjoyed every single second of our experience. We are fortunate to have traveled extensively and we have never encountered something quite like this. On top of everything else, they treated our 8 year-old son like he was the most important person on property. We are so grateful to the entire team at Finca La Donaira for making our stay so memorable. We can't wait to return!

Really difficult to put in some words a review for this place. This is one of the best places I’ve ever seen. It’s amazing what a powerful vision can do. The hole business it s founded on the Rudolf Steiner principles about organic agriculture. If you love nature, healthy food and you have healthy habits this is a place you MUST see. It’s useless to say about the facilities, food, team… everything is 10+. For me was like a group of people who love what they do, gathered here for sharing this passion with others. Although I appreciate the business system because it’s so well done it is one of that businesses where you feel that the goal is to serve others not to sale. For sure, we will be back soon.
