Lovely ambiance, great drinks and awesome staff!! They have late-night happy hour from 9-11 some nights. Do yourself a favor and stop by to grab a few. I brought my date and had a lovely time. You're in luck if Chris or Ron are working that night.

Great food and drinks! Happy hour deals are awesome! They offer quite the selection for food and their margaritas and mojitos are $6! Loved their tostadas with the beef. Would definitely come back here again.

(Last visited 11/21/2021.) If you know me or my fiancée you know how we feel about brunch and even more about bottomless mimosas, but this place doesn't quite offer that... something else though... read on. Here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: First and foremost, I highly recommend that you make reservations in advance. We got lucky today. Set right downtown New Haven near Yale is this gem. Good luck with your own parking since this place doesn't have a private lot, but there are plenty of spaces on the street or structures around. It's a cozy and quaint place that can't hold a lot of people. It's almost always packed in here and the energy is through the roof. I loved it. The left side of the restaurant is the bar section with a half-wall separating it from the other side, which holds all the tables. The giant exposed ventilation that runs from the ceiling right to the floor is a super cool, modern-rustic touch. Service: Chris took excellent care of us both times that we've visited this place. He's quick with getting things we asked for, friendly, fun and ridiculously helpful. Food: So we must discuss what you probably searched to find this review... This place does NOT offer bottomless mimosas, however, if you buy a pitcher of mimosa, you can buy refills for $1.00/piece. How many you're allowed to buy is up to the restaurant. The first time we came, we were allowed to buy multiples, but the 2nd time we were only allow to buy one additional, so take that with a grain of salt. For my entrée I went with their Barracuda Nachos! These consist of yuca fritas topped with blackened chicken, pepper jack cheese, tomato & scallions served with sour cream, salsa and guacamole. You can add other proteins for additional costs. They were SO FREAKING GOOD and just different compared to traditional nachos elsewhere. I loved them. Value: A pitcher of mimosa is $20.00 and the refill is only $1.00. See the value there?! Lol. My nachos were $12.00 and it was an additional $2.00 for your choice of pork belly, steak, mushrooms, chorizo or blackened chicken. I think this place was absolutely worth it and you'd think the same. In conclusion, this place was awesome and it's a reason we've driven 45 minutes twice to hang out here. We will continue to visit this place in the future! If you made it this far in the review, I appreciate you reading. Please do me a favor and head on over to "The Hungry Road" on YouTube and subscribe! My channel features a lot of food, car and exclusive shoe related content! Thank you so much!

really fun bar and restaurant to go to with friends. happy hour is usually till 7 during the week and the weekends but their is some confusion around that time as their website menu and the flyers all have different times for happy hour. the food is decent portions for decent prices as well.

Great food, service, drinks and ambiance. Will definitely come back. We got the fried yuca, the sweet plantain with cheese, the empanadas, the yuca nachos, and the mango chicken flatbread. The Mojitos were on point

Great little bar that has an amazing twist. The food is good and there's such a large variety of small plates to share with your friends, with the larger plates to satisfy those looking for a flavorful and interesting dinner. The mojitos are heavy on the mint but don't lose their delicious flavor. Definitely great for date night or a night out with friends!

I went with a few of my sorority sisters to brunch this past weekend. The service was impeccable. I have been to this restaurant before for dinner but the server we had for brunch changed my whole experience. He was personable, attentive, and overall a great time! Jordan, you are amazing! Your personality is unmatched and Barracudas is very lucky to have you! Next time you guys go to Barracudas make sure you request him, you won’t regret it!

Spent new years here for drinks and food. The tacos, plantains, and empanadas were out of this world. The drinks were perfect every time. Jordan and rose were the best servers and had great service. 10/10!

Love this place and the atmosphere. Went there Saturday night and it was busy but not crowded. Pretty much every seat was filled but no one was standing. It is small so be prepared to wait to find a table, unless you’re sitting at the bar. Even then it can be hard to get a seat. Bartender was wonderful and attentive. Really nice and the drinks were good. I’ve been here probably 6 times and the food is very good too. Not sure if they have happy hour still but the mussles are great. I will definitely come back here.

Displeased with the service here. Had to wait 20 minutes to simply get water, and then had to ask for refills because no one would come and do that. Other tables had water jugs so that they could refill for themselves, however my table did not. About 15 minutes after ordering, I was informed that the kitchen had run out of what I had ordered. Why it took that long is beyond me? Overall, very slow service and an inattentive staff and servers. The food is good and reasonably priced, however it is not worth the wait. The ambiance here is nice, like a standard bar. I am not from the area and was looking for a good place to eat. This establishment is physically appealing, however the quality of service and food do not make it worth the visit and wait.

I almost never write restaurant reviews, but we met a waiter there who had to be recognized publicly. Jordan was his name and he was phenomenal. He catered, He was prompt, smart, caring, and knowledgable about the food. And he just had this friendly demeanor about him that made us all happy. By the end of our dinner, two of us said, "He's the best waiter we've ever had. The food is good and overall pretty good place.

Great place to hangout for happy hour. Been here a couple of times - they are consistent at making good cocktails. Snacks are good too- I love Yucca fries (try it- you won’t regret!).

This was my first time in New Haven. Barracuda was recommended and honestly came back twice in one evening. Jordan was fantastic. As a bartender, Jordan was what brought me back. Attentive, personal, and genuine. The drinks were also great. Will be back and recommend to everyone.

Great prices and good food. Went for oyster happy hour but they were all out. For those who are sensitive to sounds, it can get pretty loud at times.

This bar was really fun with great service and food. The chicken arepas was amazing and highly recommended! A very generous portion at happy hour pricing. Happy hour drink specials also good. Just go!
