The absolute best place to get a hot roast beef sandwich! Their onion rings are really good too. Wings are pretty good. Update: We were there again tonight and as always, amazing food.

If Arby's is the "Meat Mountain", then this is Everest of Meats. This is a must visit place if you are in the area. Places like this are far and few these days. Best Roast Beef Sandwich around. Very simple, served on a paper plate. Perfect.

Best place to have a hot roast beef sandwich. I guess the other food here is good, I only go for the roast beef. It's the best you will ever have. You must get it "wet" with sharp provolone. When you see a 10-15lb piece of beef come out & get hand carved by 2 workers you know that's what you want. We always get our fries Continental style. It's the only place that has Mad Elf on tap this time of year & Xmas in July...if you know what I mean. This is the place where the Mrs & I go for out date nite out. Never had a bad meal here. The servers are friendly & hard working, plus they remember your face, even if you haven't been there for some time. This place is a must!!!!

Food was great I had 2 roast beef sandwiches 🤤🤤🤤 If you’re like me and eat double 😅 expect to spend around $25 that’s 2 roast beef sandwiches and one beer.

We recently tried this place for lunch and were very happy. They had 8 different beers on tap that were mostly local. We tried the wings, cheese fries (with gravy) and broccoli cheddar bites for an app. It would be hard to pick a favorite. My favorite part was the roast beef sandwich with the side of gravy. Perfectly cooked. The bread was also soft and fresh. We also had deep fried Oreos for desert. Delicious but too much for us to eat. Will definitely return. The service was also excellent.

The folks were very accommodating for our large party. And the service in general was good. It’s not a large pub. Beer list is good with like 10 standard and craft beers on tap. I’ll reserve judgment on the food until I go again. I ordered a roast beef sandwich that came cold and with toppings I don’t like. My own fault for not asking questions or reading the menu closer. Menu isn’t huge, but there looks to be some good stuff. I can say the wings were decent and they have all sorts of toppings for fries that were pretty good too.

Ye Olde Ale House was the perfect place to sit down and relax. Food was the best, especially the roast beef sandwich! Service was great. Atmosphere is family friendly. Free parking right out front. 👍😊

This places serves the best hot roast beef sandwich you will ever eat, period, end of story. I love the old-timey atmosphere. Great french fries too!

Stopped by between funeral events on St. Patty's Day. The bar beef was amazing! Was hypnotized watching them trim the cuts of meat. Our server was a sweet, older lady. I was amazed by the shoes she was wearing....my feet would be in pain! Good for her! Hope to get back again some time if I'm ever in the area again.

This is a relaxed, informal bar and grill with the best hot roast beef sandwiches that my wife and I have ever had; it's luckily located just off the northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Lafayette Hill exit. We order our sandwiches wet and ask for an end slice to be included in the sandwich. It's warm, messy and unforgetably delicious. The french fries are very good, but the sandwich is what pulls us 30 miles out of our way when we're in the Philadelphia area. This is not a Philly cheese steak, which we buy and enjoy at the ball game. The Ale House sandwich is a cherished memory. One caveat: Be prepared with multiple napkins. The gravy is essential to the taste. We both prefer the sandwich without cheese, but that's nothing against the cheese. The staff is friendly and experienced.

I had a great experience here! I found the menu to be simple yet extremely easy to navigate and decide on what I wanted. There were no distractions. The inside setting really felt medieval and ancient. I wonder how old the place really is! The quality of food was top notch and I have nothing to complain about. The staff was wonderful. Great service and management.

We've been getting their roastbeef sandwiches for years. Nothing compares, they're delicious!! We always order the endcuts and love that they include dipping gravy. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

Overpriced, bad food, unsanitary, everything served on disposable plates. Absolutely nothing good about this place. $14 for an 8” cheese pizza that tastes like it was cooked in a microwave? Sandwiches served on tiny 4”disposable plates with no toppings, no pickles, no fries, no chips. Table wiped with a dirty rag that only spread leftovers evenly across the surface. Tiled floor is eternally greasy with black grout that probably started out white.
