Really nice bathrooms. They should also promote here the museum from the village so people could go visit there as well. A sort of pay one ticket and have access to both. There is also a park here with absolutely no purpose next to the main walkway towards the monument. It's worth 10 lei but they should really include the museum too into this

One of the oldest romanian heritage sites built in 109 AD, and was reconstructed in 1977, same as the original. It's worth seeing, the access road is very good, and you can also visit the ancient historical city, which is located nearby.

This is a point to visit as to understand the ancient Romans in Dobrogea and to visit old arhitectural sites. The road is safe and clean, recommend going in the spring time!

Great place. I visited during a weekday and it wasn't busy at all. I highly recommend it.

It was a great visit in a really impressive place, well worth a visit with good annotations about the monument and the history of the site. We had pleasure to be there for a wedding photo shot and it was truly impressive.

This is my second visit to this monument and every time it looked deserted. Anyway, this monument is meant to remember an important clash between the Romans and the native people, dacians. It is said that about 4k Romans perished on this battle field in the second century. It's a nice piece of Romanian history and some efforts were put into restoring this archaeological site. It's too bad that they didn't install a souvenir shop.

A great monument not advertised enough. The complex is really large and the central monument depicts a piece of Romanian history. Unfortunately not many people know about its existance.

Great experience ! Do not forget to visit the amazing citadel located 1 km away - free entrance. One of the largest cities found in South East Romania for that time

A very impressive monument for a (at the time) province of the Roman empire. The monument is mostly reconstructed with the original pieces displayed at the nearby museum (to stop degradation and wether damage). Most basorelief at this site are direct casts of the original sculptures.

The Tropaeum Traiani is a monument in Roman Civitas Tropaensium (site of modern Adamclisi, Romania), built in 109 in then Moesia Inferior, to commemorate Roman Emperor Trajan's victory over the Dacians, in the winter of 101-102, in the Battle of Adamclisi. Before Trajan's construction, an altar existed there, on the walls of which were inscribed the names of the 3,000 legionaries and auxilia (servicemen) who had died "fighting for the Republic". The entrance cost 10 lei. Everything you would like to see is on the outside.

Returned to this place after seeing it as a child 20 years ago, still impressive with it's scale and historic value. Mind you that the current structure has been build in the 70s as a replica to the original mausoleum.

I went here after i visited the archeological museum, i bought a music box of George Enescu's Romanian Rhapsody, for 35 Ron, highway robbery, but my cat likes the music so no complaints, the monument itself was nice, though we had to leave fast as winds were picking up and rain clouds were forming, definitely recommend

For me, it was a dream come true to get here. I'll only say that it is imposing and leave you discover it on your own. The curator will kindly guide you to the other attractions in the area.

A very instructive monument to visit since I it is a completely restored roman mausoleum from 102ad . Its well maintained, however I would appreciate some more informations and perhaps a guided tour by its custodians

👍👍 Wonderful place to visit. We love it. We never thought we'd find such a great museum in such a small town.
