A 5 star hotel only on paper. More like a 3 star hotel with 5 star prices.

Great value for price. Compared to other hotels in the area, which may be at half the price, but offer terrible conditions, this hotel is great. As long as you find a good deal on booking with half board as I found, I truly recommend it. (Around 200 euro/night) - I wouldn’t pay more than 200-230 euro for 2 people/nigh +half board. Breakfast and lunch are very good with a big variety of dishes for all tastes. Rooms were clean and very well organized. The only thing I did not enjoy is very late check-in(after 4pm) and early checkout(12). After checkout I was told I can stay on the beach, but not on the swimming pool ( this is a bit silly considering I was still able to get lunch from 12-15 as part of my half board stay. I’d like to personally thank kind Silvia, a very nice lady at the reception, who made sure that I was able to enjoy my stay until the end and allowed me a later checkout time just so that I can take a last shower after coming from the beach. Staff in the hotel and at the swimming pool were very friendly and the waiters in the restaurant were very attentive and took care of all clients by personally serving drinks at the table. Sunbeds at the swimming pool are very comfortable, water is clean and warm. In conclusion, this hotel is a great choice in Mamaia. Other hotels around are cheaper, but don’t offer any services, except poorly furnished rooms. (Telling you this by personal experience)

The Hotel itself is nice situated and looks fine so far. After the first night (we stay as a couple for 5 days in total) we had breakfast, and i eat somp fish. Some hours later i get heavy pain and fill extrem sick, we consulted finally in the night a doctor to check was it is. As suspected, it was very severe fish poisoning. The Hotel staff was in this period neither very supportive to my partner, she needs to take care for everything by herself, neither the stuff was later able to "provide" a reduction, due to the fact that 2-3 days of that stay was for nothing, and finally the breakfast was from the hotel. Anyway, the cherry on the cake is one of the waiters in the restaurant. We invite at the 4th day some friends for having a dinner inside the hotel restaurant, due to the fact that I still wasn't able to leave the hotel. We order different type of food and we get "visited" by one of the waiter all 5 minutes on our table to be asked, if we need Water (we've had 2 bottles still on the table, which both was half full), if we wanna habe espresso (during the dinner ?) and so on. Finally I asked for the invoice, that this will be chasrged to the room. He brings and tell us ! that there's not tip included in this invoice ??? What the hell he thinks where we from ? Are we dummies or what ? So we sign and decide to NOT tip him (we tip the other two waiter from India / Nepal which also served us) , due to his former "behaviour", which is from our point of view inacceptable. He came, open that invoice check, look inside and said: "Aha, there's not tip!?" ...... turn a round, say somthing in romanian, which we not clear understand, and leave the table "kind of pissed" let's say. This is such a rediculous and respectless behaviour, we all four was massively "shocked" about that. We leave that table and thats it. The room Service in the Suite did not clean glasses or cups, (they left a used cappucino cup three days on a window shelf !) they told to my partner she should "wash it by herself" ??? What the Hack ??? Sorry, this is also absolut inacceptable for a 5 Star Hotel !!! We will for sure not come again, and we cannot recoomend this at all. We pay for 5 Star and we recive less then one !!! Never again there !

We had a good stay but this is not a 5* hotel: CONS -had booked a double room with double bed but instead we had two sing beds put together -in the bathroom, we had only shower gel and no shampoo -the electric fuse went off during the night and one of the light bulbs from the bed side lamp was broken -the light curtains had holes in them PROS -good value for money only because of the being off season we stayed in 20 Oct -good location -good breakfast

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The rooms facing the pool terrace are unbearable due to the loud music that plays until 11 pm. The music is a cacophony of jazz arrangements with a singer who tries to imitate Elton John's style. It's not what you expect from an expensive hotel. To make matters worse, the bed is horrible. The mattress, pillows, and blanket were all uncomfortable. The mattress didn't support my back and felt like it was sinking. The pillows were like bricks, and the blanket was heavy and cumbersome. I couldn't sleep at all, and it was more comfortable to sleep on the floor. I'm not being picky; I just expected better for the price I paid. It's now 5 am, and I still haven't slept a wink. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

As an American, and a 38 year male at that, I was shocked at the rudeness of this hotels staff, as they rushed out as soon as they saw me standing under the shade cast by one of their larger, but totally empty, umbrella locations near the sea. They yelled at me about how Ukrainians are “trouble trouble trouble,” despite my … not being Ukrainian. I suppose because I speak English and not Romanian they just assumed. VERY racist. But it’s not limited just to Ukrainians; they also got in a shouting match with a couple and their small children who were Romanian, because they were sunbathing on “their private beach”. Absolutely would never stay at this hotel, really a horrid practice to have employees lie about how the entire beach has been paid for and reserved, when I was THERE all day and no one every used that umbrella area or any other area where they yelled shouted and argued with the beachgoers. Terrible attitude.

I recently stayed at Hotel Vega, and I was very impressed with my stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with clean and well-maintained bathrooms. The hotel also has a number of great amenities, including a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a spa. One of the things I enjoyed most about Hotel Vega was the location. It is right on the beach, so I could easily go for a swim or walk along the shore. The hotel is also close to a number of restaurants, so I had plenty of options for dining out. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vega. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing vacation on the Black Sea coast. I would definitely stay at Hotel Vega again if I ever visit Constanta. It is a great place to stay for both business and leisure travelers.

One of the good hotels in Mamaia, a bit old in some places but still one of the best options. Lovely outdoor breakfasts / lunch area, nice pool & beach.

Five stars for: Location, Service and food. Unfortunately that is all that deserves 5 stars. The hotel is old and worn out with little to no investment in the facilities. The hairdryer most likely still remembers the time before the Revolution. Color set if everything brown wasn’t my cup of tea - but also - carpet, furniture etc - was way way old. The bathroom is a joke. We chose the senior suite - which has a frontal sea view - but the balcony was facing the parking lot … No indoor pool, no proper spa service, gym is a joke too. I would not come back.

Perfect location, own secure parking, right on a beach, with decent level restaurant, bar. Sea view from your hotel room. Reasonable prices.

We had a wonderful time in Vega for a whole week. The rooms are admittedly not the biggest, but they are clean and offer all the convenience and amenities we needed. The staff is fantastic and tried to accommodate us at every step. The food is good, and the pool is awesome. I really do not get all the one-star reviews that I read here. I mean sure, you can take a star or two for things you are not satisfied with, but overall giving just one star is bonkers. Who are these people?

In theory 5* but practically 3* hotel. Old fashion with a poor design and very medium food

Breakfast is delightful, but that 3rd floor lounge? 10/10.

These are pretty nice rooms and a short walk to a private beachfront. Would have been five stars except the rooms are a little small and the service was just okay. Definitely a visit if you want your private beach experience 👍🏻

We came here on business. Free water in this 5-star hotel is not provided 🤷 The service in the restaurant is of a high level, the hotel staff is friendly and ready to help.

Rooms could be a bit bigger but they are clean and tastefully decorated. Staff is very friendly, helpful and overall pleasant. Also the hotel is right on the beach and has a nice pool.

The staff is a 5* one, way better than most of the places we have stayed. The room is not as I have expected for a 5* hotel and for the money we paid for.

Their thing is discriminating against men. You can be undressed as much as you want and wear sandals as a woman but if you wear sandals as a man you will not be allowed to have dinner on a terrace by the beach🧐. Spend your money elsewhere!
