My wife decided to try this service to color her hair just days prior to her birthday. It was a disaster. After doing a washout of the prior color every color she wanted they told her they would have to order it since they didn't have it on site. She got so distressed that she left without having any hair coloring done. We were very disappointed.....

I highly recommend this salon. The salon is very clean and smells great. The stylists are very friendly. I was in need of a new stylist because my stylist moved out of state I was recommended to Kait and she did a great job. She got to know what I like before she started cutting my hair. I love the fact that this salon is apart of Downtown Martinez and in walking distance of my office.

So I’m new to the area, was looking for a new hairdresser that could cut hair as well as maintain my blonde in my hair. As I look through the website I came across this salon. And there was great reviews regarding Alitza. After going to my first salon here in this area, and my hair looks terrible, I decided to try this salon. So I made an appointment Yesterday, and they got me in today. And let me tell you… it is a very professional place. Equipment was all current and up-to-date. And the hairdresser doesn’t just leave you hanging out in the sink bowl while they mingle with their coworkers. But instead they stay with their clients ensuring the best experience. And even received a head massage while I was getting my hair shampooed. She did an amazing job, an amazing job and it was worth every penny. If you’re looking for someone to not only know how to cut your hair but to do color Alitza is your girl.

Huge recommend for Citrus Salon, especially stylist Sydney!! It is well-located in historic scenic Martinez- lots of street parking around (all metered/2 hour limit so you will have to pay and, for longer appointments, meter may run out, but all the staff are super sweet about offering to refill your meter for you). The physical space is open, light-filled, and modern with some beautiful plants. Every person I interacted with went out of their way to be kind and welcoming, both staff & customers. I was getting a major haircut (chopping off about 12 inches of hair to donate and getting a buzzcut, bleach, and bright dye!) and I knew Sydney would be the person to trust. They created a comfortable environment from the moment I came in with their friendly & laidback demeanor. She was so great about checking in with me for every step to make sure I felt okay and my hair was progressing the way I wanted. My appointment was about 2.5 hours long, but time flew by because Sydney is so fun to chat with. I was so pleased with the final product- it looked exactly like the inspo picture I had showed them- and I knew I had come to the perfect place to do it. If you are looking for a major hair transformation or just a trim, Citrus Salon & Sydney are the way to go!! I especially recommend for LGBTQ+ customers and younger people. Thanks so much y'all :)

Such a great find! I've been an Aveda girl for over 20 years and after moving to the Bay area, I was having a hard time finding an Aveda salon I liked. So far, this one has hit the mark! Most of the stylist have IG profiles, so you can see their work ahead of time, love that! OH! And the shampoo sinks are amazing with little pillows for your head! No more neck discomfort!

Viviana did a very good job despite the fact that I have a lot of hair, she knew and helped me to choose the best haircut , I loved it and I plan to comeback!

I had the best experience at Citrus on Friday. I come here quarterly and I have been for the last 3 years or so and I love it! I sat in Ruby’s chair and she was absolutely wonderful! We had a great conversation and I couldn’t have asked for a better cut and style! Highly recommend her! The environment here is wonderful, they offer a wide variety of beverages as well to wind down and relax.

I love Citrus! Such a beautiful, clean atmosphere with a super friendly staff. From the moment I sat in Roni’s chair, I knew I was in expert hands. She is not only incredibly skilled but also attentive to her clients' needs. She took the time to listen to my hair goals and offered valuable advice to achieve the look I wanted. Not to mention, her charm and humor always makes for a great time at the salon! I highly suggest booking with her, whatever your hair needs may be. 10/10!

I've been there now several times both for my children and myself. I find the stylist both Junior stylist and experienced wonderful, friendly, great communicators and great hair!

I really like the atmosphere at Citrus, but love my stylist Ronni even more. Shes treats me more like a good friend rather just another client. She listens and takes her time and i always leave the salon feeling great!

Citrus Salon is the best place to get your hair done for many reasons. I drive all the way from San Francisco to get highlights/cut. That’s how good it is. 1. Everyone who works at Citrus is so friendly. I truly have a great time coming here. 2. On the above note, Roni is the BEST. Not only does she make me the perfect shade of blonde which makes her the best stylist, but she is one of my favorite people in the world. She is hilarious, curious, and makes for great conversation. 3. I can tell that Citrus takes pride in using the best products available.
