This
is
a
review
of
Priest
Viswanathan
Ardhanareeswaran,
not
of
the
temple
as
such.
We
are
a
devout
Marathi
Deshastha
Rigvedic
family.
Our
family
has
also
been
part
of
major
temple
constructions
in
various
places.
When
it
was
time
for
our
second
son's
munje
(ie
upanayan
sanskar,
sacred
thread
ceremony),
we
contacted
Priest
Viswanathan
Ardhanareeswaran.
First,
he
immediately
said
"here
we
do
South
Indian
style."
I
said
"that
is
no
problem,
we
respect
that,
and
we
are
fine
with
that."
Then
he
said
"OK,
I
will
contact
you
soon
about
dates."
We
waited
for
a
month,
he
did
not
contact.
So
I
went
back
to
the
temple
(which
is
50
miles
from
where
we
live)
and
he
said
"I
was
busy,
I
will
contact
you
soon."
Another
month
passed,
he
did
not.
So
I
went
to
the
temple
again.
This
time,
in
a
very
cunning
and
clearly
deceptive
manner
he
said
"Oh,
I
am
free
now,
I
will
contact
you
this
week."
But
the
way
he
said
it
it
was
clear
he
was
lying.
Anyway,
I
waited
a
month,
and
same
story:
no
contact
from
him.
So
we
gave
up
on
that
Priest,
and
were
appalled
at
his
insincerety
and
deception.
By
grace
of
Ganeshji,
we
actually
found
a
very
very
good
place
for
the
Munja
(the
United
Hindu
Temple
in
Baldwin
Park),
and
the
Pujari
there
even
invited
a
Rig
Vedic
Purohit
from
a
mandir
80
miles
away
to
join
the
Sanskar,
and
it
was
done
very
well
by
both
of
them
in
perfect
Rigvedic
way.
We
were
elated
by
that.
So
in
a
way,
it
was
God's
way
of
guiding
us
to
the
best
place,
but
still
I
felt
I
should
write
this
review
so
in
future
this
particular
priest
does
not
mislead
others.
In
his
profession,
such
conduct
is
inexcusable.
I
want
to
say
the
Shiv
Murugan
temple
itself
is
welcoming,
and
I
always
enjoyed
going
there
for
prayers
and
darshan.
So
again,
clarifying
this
is
not
a
review
of
the
temple
as
a
whole,
but
only
the
priest
in
particular.
