Been coming here for many years, as always everything about The Beach House was excellent. Great value for money...all the little extras in the room and a very good breakfast..especially the fresh fruit! Lots of choice including a generous portion of delicious kippers...lots of good advice too about where to eat in the evening...booking dinner is essential in high season as nearby restaurants can be very busy! Thank you Sue, John and all the staff.

John and Sue are a lovely couple and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was great. We enjoyed the stay, as did our parents and would definitely stay there again. The B&B is in a great location, close to the pier and tramway to the top of the Great Orm. Thanks for your help.

If you have children or an accent I wouldn't recommend. I booked a room for me and my 2 children (5 & 2). The weather was meant to be nice so I thought I would take the kids somewhere nice. I book the room on hotels.com on friday night to check in Saturday. As I was packing I realized I hadn't asked for a cotbed for my daughter so I rang the hotel. I called the hotel the owner picked the phone I explained I had just booked and needed a cot added to the room. Below I what she said to me "I dont want you staying in my hotel, am the owner and I choose who stay in my establishment and you are the sort I wouldn't want. Plus I have other guests staying here and your children will most likely to disturb my guests and they might break my stuff" I was caught by surprise unexplained I had already paid for the room she insisted she would refund the money once hotel.com had paid her but either way she didnt want me staying in her establishment. I told her not to worry I would cancel my trip which I did. I called her Monday chasing my refund and this time she said I lost her business by booking her last room so I should forget it. So I contacted my bank who refunded the money. Few weeks later (24.09.21) I was contacted by my bank to say I had reported a false claim and that both hotels.com and this hotel could prove I stay with them. So I lost Β£70. I am not one to complain or review but my experience with this hotel is one of the worst. I also do believe her attitude change when she picked up my on my accent. Either way if you have children or have an accent you probably should stay away from this hotel.

Great Welcome, the staff are very friendly. Delicious freshly made hot breakfast with plenty of choices every morning, the hotel is clean and there’s easy access to roam around. Special thanks to Sue and John for making our stay comfortable. My family and I would love to come and stay again.

Lovely B&B in a great location, food is fantastic. Downside is a small room with uncomfortable bed and poor shower. Plumbing problems meant a wake up at 7 every morning with noisy pipes, like a ship's horn. Lovely Scottish bloke serving breakfast for the first two days, but got a miserable woman on our third day.

Beach House has a great location near the beach and pier and not far from shops and restaurants. It is tastefully decorated inside. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered all most people would want.
