12/29/2023: During my previous visit to this location, I removed one star because of unfavorable service. Today I re-add a star because the exceptional service and atmosphere created by having Mickey as our waitress. ************** I ate a variety of food to get my money's worth, all of which was prepared well. The restaurant was clean, including the Men's restroom, which is an important factor used for my ratings. Once we were seated, Songa took good care of our table by promptly taking our order for beverages, bringing us plates, and repeatedly coming by to make sure all was well. She also did a great job at removing used plates to free up space on the tables. Songa is an asset to Golden Corral, as were all of the other employees who worked on the day of our visit (November 10, 2021).

Excellent food. It was very crowded but moved at a brisk pace. Excellent service and attentive staff. The roasted pork was a little overcooked but the steak and the baked chicken made up for it. Superb wait staff. Southern hospitality "Georgia" style.

I'm a restaurant critic and reviewer and I must say this particular Golden Corral was on point with COVID guidelines. I would recommend they keep gloves on the bar to keep everyone from touching the same tongs otherwise the food was great and kept fresh. The temperatures were perfect the social distancing between tables was great. I definitely recommend

They had AMAZING FRIED GREEN TOMATOES. Hot, fresh, and delicious! Everything I got was so yummy! Very clean and fresh. Staff was very friendly, refreshing our drinks and removing our empty plates. This is possibly the Best Golden Corral Buffett that I have ever been to. Clean restrooms. Busy place, cause everyone knows it is so good! They have senior specials too!

There was a line almost out the door. But, once you get past the check out it seemed less chaotic. The selection satisfied everyone including my very very picky kids. The staff were very courteous and on the ball. The servers worked together and continuously asked if we were okay. The bar staff were efficient and approachable. She was able to point to my sons request

It's the best golden corral buffet I've ever been to. The food is delicious. Chicken wings, kudos to the cook. And then the ambulance was called, not because someone had eaten more than she could chew. No, noooo, a customer went into labor for a baby boy. I'm glad I was there so she can hold my hand. Wishing her a blessed delivery

The wait was about 30-40 minutes but given that it was Christmas I don't think that was too bad. The service was good. My server was very attentive, friendly and professional. The food was just okay, but the buffet was full and they had plenty of food, except baked potatoes. The price for the take out thought was hefty. I needed to take food to a disabled family member whose not mobile. I probably would not utilize takeout again.

I always love the Golden Corral. We had lunch this time, which was good. Our waitress was great. The 5 stars go to her. I wish I remembered her name, I believe it was Linda? I added some photos to help anyone that was unsure about prices like we were. Hope it helps! Children under 3 eat free.

Today was my nephew birthday and everywhere had long waits. We decided to just go to Golden Corral. What we thought was going to be a bad night because no one there wanted to let us sit together turned out to be the best night. We asked for a manager but Darius showed up out of nowhere and told them we didn’t need a manager he would take care of us. I’m a business owner so it gives me great joy when I see people go above and beyond the call of service. If you ever at this Golden Corral ask for Darius.

Life Church men’s breakfast. It was slightly busy, but the line moved pretty quick. Good choices of food, from fish to grits. Good service & great conversations. Plus, it gave me a chance to get some riding time in ! 🤩

What an oasis for the tired and hungry traveler. There was slight wait to pay the ladies for the buffet but it was worth it! The salad bar was loaded with lots of fresh vegetables and fruit. Even had two kinds of piping hot soup. I had the chowder... delicious. The buffet was enormous. From baked talapia to cooked to order steak there was literally too much to choose from. There's a special senior person rate for the value conscious.And I must comment on the staff. Jamie met us and showed us to a freshly cleaned table, gave us a few extra plates and checked up on us from time to time to make sure our dinner was a great experience. We'll have to make sure we get back here soon.

This is a very popular restaurant. Food is so fresh and good. Service is great. They give senior discount. My favorite is the mashed yam.

Went for veteran's day free meal. Fully expected it to be less than fully functional, but I was wrong. They did fantastic with keeping everything available and fresh. Very pleased, thanks for having us!

I ate here at the Golden Corral, and it was a wonderful experience until I left my sunglasses on the table. I called back to ask if my sunglasses 🕶 were still there. The employee who answered the phone assured me he had the glasses, and I asked if I could retrieve them the next day due to the bad weather, and he would put them in the managers office. I returned today, and now my glasses are not there. What happened????? Did someone steal them? Tell me what you think. I challenge someone to get back to me from the golden corral company before I head back to my beloved New York City.

7-5-19 - Was in the area and decided to go to Golden Corale. Very open and spread out. Not long of a wait to get in, pay, and be seated. Food selection like many of the other restaurants. They resupplied many of the areas in a timely manner, but some took longer. The plates were clean, and most of the tables were. Alan was our server, and took care of us. Asked for a medium well done steak but got medium rare instead. So I didn't get anymore steak. The fries were ok. There were many friendly patrons there. Otherwise the food was good.

Went here last night for the company Christmas Party ❄☃️🪢🧣🧤🌬🎅🏂🎁. We had an blast. Fresh food, Gigi our server was amazing and on point! Very persistent. They food stayed fresh and rotated. All staff members were smiling and very welcoming. This Golden Corral on Jonesboro Rd in McDonough GA is awesome 👌!

Patrick was our server and I cannot say enough kind words to express how great he was at caring for his customers. The food was fresh, the restaurant clean. My best Golden Corral experience ever! Too bad we were just traveling through the area.

Our server Darius, completely changed our prior perception of the the company as a whole. We've visited many Golden Corral's and have always view them as just another place to go eat, but this team member specifically made this last experience one of the most enjoyable dine in experience we've ever had. We will routinely continue going out of our way to revisit this specific location for his service alone. His attentiveness, professionalism, and patience was unmatched to anything we've ever experienced. His energy brought more to the overall experience than just dining in alone. I can't express enough how amazing our server was and we look forward to revisiting as a result of his service.

ASK FOR DIAMOND (server)! This young lady was professional, kind, attentive, and very sweet. She went above and beyond, unnecessarily. My family of five was in a really chill mood. My hubby hadn’t had Golden Corral since the start of COVID and really wanted to go. Several of the foods were just blah, but it’s a buffet. I do expect the foods to be hit or miss. Her service was truly SUPERB. The dining area was clean and most of the severs were continuously cleaning, sweeping, etc. Their conversations were a bit much. Yelling to one another while in their respective zones, carrying on conversations that weren’t work appropriate in the presence of families dining. We also witnessed an employee openly debating/ or arguing with the manager in the dining area. The cashier apparently wanted to be anywhere but work. I greeted her, complimented her and was overly pleasant (it’s my natural personality 🙄 I can’t help it😂). She only asked us what we wanted to drink, and told us our total. My son asked if she could mix his drink (lemonade and fruit punch). She literally just stared at him. I told him no and we kept it moving. In her defense it’s apparent they may have been short staffed as the cashier was making drinks and running the register. That doesn’t excuse her lack of joy though. Some people have that Wednesday Adams’ temperament- I get it. But she should be maybe in the kitchen. That way she doesn’t have to interact with the public if customer service is just not her thing. I was sure to seek out the manager before leaving just to extend our praise for Diamond. His response- “oh yeah, that’s Diamond. She is great!” Clearly we aren’t the only members in her fan club. Love it!

Pies were not cooked all the way. Collard greens had a lot of sugar in it! Too much fried foods. The atmosphere and service was great though. I don't think I'll come back to this one. No I'm sure of it.

Today was my son's first bday. He got to eat all kinds of food and ice cream and the staff sung happy bday to him. He was a little confused why they were singing to him but he had a good time. Our drinks were constantly refilled and the waitress was kind and made sure we were wll taken care of. There wasn't a wait and it was a Saturday evening. So that was pretty good.

The food was delicious and the service was great. The prices were good too.

On thanksgiving day we went to this restaurant hoping to have good turkey and all the trimmings. It was disappointing. The salad bar was great and I should have stayed there. The turkey was like salty canned meat. No flavor. The dressing was a mushy mess. It was missing the normal seasoning. Very disappointing. The server Jimmie was very nice.

Food was up to par, nothing I tried was bad. Service was immaculate, I didn't even think to see what my waitresses name was but she did a fantastic job, wish I could've tipped her more. The atmosphere was cool as well with only a slight smell near the restrooms like maybe it's time to change out your mop heads, I'm not sure but besides that, everything was phenomenal. 5 star experience. This location will be a favorite of mine! Will definitely come back to this one.

The only Golden Corral I have visited and didn't eat anything but the fruit.. the food selection was very minimal. There are other locations I prefer which is by Lawrenceville hwy. North DeKalb Mall area.. they are always offering great selections.

Golden corral has transitioned to 20% meat and the rest vegetables. If you love hot and burgers this is the place for you. I went for lunch and it had barely a little meat. Their menu consists of taco, hotdog, burger, fry/roast chicken. Three different gravy and 4 different rice.

Great assortment of southern foods; lots of options for all diets. Good price. Some foods were a bit cold :-/ The Best was the Fried chicken A+!!
