I really think this I a good hospital even though they don't have enough equipments like the other big hospitals. The CEO of the hospital have a rule that all the workers in the hospital must abide to and that is always smile, say hi to whoever you come across with and tell them thanks for choosing the Loretto hospital and I think that is very good of him to implement that because I thought he was just talking but I realized the team members actually do these things. Based on my experience the nurses are super nice they help the medical students a lot and the doctors are humble and nice. Am so glad my school sent me there for my rotations.

More like -0 this hospital discharged my son when he is still in danger to himself and others. I really hope nothing happens to him now!! It's been 2 months after my last review and my son got worse! This hospital never contacted or returned my calls when I had release of information signed so I can at least speak to social worker. Nobody ever contacted me and they released him now he's back in a different hospital for worse matters. He was not safe to leave!

This is the worst hospital on the west side of Chicago... My mother has been in and out of this hospital since 2012 for her Mental illness and you guys refused to help me get her into a long care Facility ... You guys will keep her only for 7 days and release her ... I have tried and tried and you guys was no help.... Now my mother has blood on her hands now ... All because you guys have failed her .... I just want you to know that this hospital plays a role in that man's death as well...

Just left there thank goodness the worst er nurses ,they have been hollering at patients since I been there 10:30 am. Other patients just walking in your room. Totally unsafe. The whole time I was there they chilling talking loud . The mental patients should not be allowed to be on the same level if they are a danger to other's lost of police and security but they don't do nothing. It was a total disaster today .I would not consider coming back until they fix some things.

Rude staff overall. Lazy staff. They only help when it's convenient for them. Do not come here. Waste of time. They ignore calls from patients and don't even want to get them water.

On September 2,2023 at approximately 2 am I was admitted to Loretto as inpatient against my will. I spent nine days in the behavior health/psych unit. I showed no signs of psychosis, yet I was forced to be there for that time. There were only four staff members that I did not mind because they felt powerless as to my situation however they were kind and did their job. However, I hope that “Dr.”Luciano Tamayo loses his license because he was a bystander to my situation and was extremely insensitive. I requested an evaluation by him reiterating that I will pay him for his services just to get me out and he brefused. He walks around with a small group of students and if their education does not include care and compassion, what is the value of their training? After this prolonged stay it is clear to me that the behavioral health unit is neglected by professional staff and patients are simply a cash cow to the hospital business. Perpetrators of abusive behavior I encountered included people claiming to be RN named Elizabeth (Liz) and Lois, and other lower-ranked staff named Justina and Addy. Bystanders included people claiming to be expressive therapists who provided coloring sheets and word searches and at one point insincere rhetoric. Their names are Anne and Sunmol. Other various bystanders included a man named Raymond, a person claiming to be a nurse named Ejaz Jafri, a Michelle Hanson, two employees named Diane, William, and Mario. There are others but their role was too insignificant to mention. I saw many injustices take place including the violent restraint of a young woman in a patient room which do not have security cameras. There was a mesh bag placed over her head and it is likely that she received a shot meant to sedate her just for having a minor outburst. She was restrained to her bed for a long time. It was sad to see. My roommate also received sedation for a minor outburst and one of the staff appeared to enjoy exerting power over the patient. On either the evening of September 8th or 9th I also saw a nearly middle aged woman get physically attacked by an employee with a broom and his hand. This was on camera. My humiliating experience of being taken to a place and forced to stay against my will for such a long duration while watching people act as bystanders when clearly I did not belong there, is one I hope a normally functioning person does not experience. This was a disgrace for everyone involved directly and indirectly.

Please do not go here! No one listen to these reviews! This is one of the worst hospitals in this area. This is actually criminal that they floss this page with 5 star reviews for this hospital when they’re not relevant and don’t show the true nature of this place. You will be sent to another ER and waste more money because they do absolutely nothing here. Inpatient service is subpar. Do not listen to anything written here.

I just want to share the experience I have had with the staff in the radiology department particularly Maria. If it wasn't for her getting me in and helping me make my appointments rather it be my mammogram ,cat scan or ultasound im not where I would be on this new health challenge I am facing I just want to thank her and the entire radiology department for taking care of me in such a timely manner and genuinely carrying about my well being ...Kim Thomas

They had lack of equipments. Ride doctors. Inconsiderate and insensitive. Please don’t come here. Please

Received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine at Loretto Hospital. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! The greeters were wonderful! There was a bit of a wait, but well worth it to get the vaccine. The Hospital’s President, Mr. George Miller was on hand to make sure we were comfortable and relaxed. Overall, a great experience!

We had the bad luck of having a relative end up in the ER of this hospital, luckily he has now been transferred to a better hospital. Such a bad experience starting with communication issues, to not giving the medications that needed to be given to our relative, the list goes on since it all seems to run in slow motion in that hospital. What really rubbed me the wrong way was having a case manager from the hospital talk to me in such a negative and condescending way when I approached her to let her know that my relative didn’t live in Illinois and that his family was making arrangements for him to be transported to another hospital out of state. She barely let me talk and said there was no way that would happen. Well guess what? two days after..my relative was transported to a hospital in FL where he is getting the proper care that he needs in this moment.

I am so pleased by this hospital, how clean and friendly everyone is. My brother was well attended and I really felt good visiting him cause of how courteous and clean environment I was in, keep up the good work!!!

They make you jump through hoops to get your medical records. There's always an issue on their end that they blame on others. It shouldn't take over a year to get your own records. I still don't have them.

I was going through alcohol withdrawals severely and I started tremering. That gave me 1 mg of Ativan plus I take methadone every day and they wouldn’t even give me that. I left 2 days and went to Rush University Medical Center and they helped me way more… DO NOT GO TO LORETTO.

Got my first COVID shot today. Wonderful, caring and efficient staff! I only had to wait a couple minutes, in a socially-distanced line. Everyone masked and very friendly. The nurse who gave me the vaccine did a great job; hardly felt it!!

I took my mom to Loretto Hospital today for the vaccine and it was a wonderful experience. Not only was everyone so kind, it was super well run and organized-- we were in and out within half an hour. I was so pleased with our experience and feel extremely lucky to have been able to get my elderly mom the vaccine from them today. Thank you to Harry and everyone on staff!

I hate ER visits, they’re always so uncomfortable and ur treated like part of a conveyor belt. My last visit to Loretto was so good given the circumstances. I had a male nurse name Whitney Burns (I told him I’d never forget his name) he was so compassionate and knowledgeable (SMART SMART) always prompt when I needed him. He was professional and courteous. Just everything that exemplifies what a nurse is. He definitely made my visit pleasant and tolerable. Bless him

The staff were all so kind and answered all our questions as we went along. I highly recommend coming to Loretto Hospital. They were absolutely incredibly accommodating for our appointments. If not for the wonderful staff, who knows when we would’ve been able to get one. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

I was really very impressed by the smooth vaccination process. Amazing staff made you feel very comfortable. I was so taken back to see the PRESIDENT of the hospital making rounds (GEORGE MILLER) and meeting each and every guests taking the vaccination. A 5 STAR EXPERIENCE.

Psyche Ward is not professional at all. No razors which is crazy if you're Trans mtf. They need to separate the far gone mentally disturbed and people that are devil worshipers that's not right to house them with spiritual people

Nice day to cue in the line outdoors (about 30”). Then about another 30” total indoors. Waited 10 mins after shot to be sure all is well. Had energetic Heather. Job well done! My appointment was 10:20. Out by 11:22.

A loved one was recently hurt and brought to this hospital. The staff was super patient and friendly the moment I went in the door. The nurse, doctor, and other support staff took great care of her.

Just wow. Really amazed with the attention to detail and professionalism of the staff. I brought my father in for his covid vaccine and as you can imagine, there was a large line of patients eagerly waiting. I was concerned that we would be waiting for hours like in most hospitals, but to my surprise, the process was well organized and pretty straightforward. Thanks to a well spoken gentleman named Harry and others on the staff, we were able to get in and out in less than half an hour. Although my dad’s arm is a little sore from the vaccine, we are immensely grateful.

Went there for a Covid vaccine. Staff was professional and pleasant. They have lots of moving parts to deal with, timing on vaccine delivery from their pharmacy, lots of people to vaccinate in each group, but handled it all with smiles and patience. It took an hour or so to get the group in and out but very well done. Rooms were clean and wiped down after every use. If you are lucky enough to get an appointment - don't hesitate to go!

They need to close this place down If you are going here for mental health stay as far away from here They do nothing and let go of patients when they should absolutely not Also they lie about discharging with ambulance They just take insurance money and need to be investigated ASAP

This place is an insult to mental health patients, there is a Puerto Rican tech who literally sits around and makes fun of mentally ill people openly and under the watch of all the staff. This place is a disgrace to mankind. I would not let them care for my dog , let alone mentally ill people.
