I had the pleasure of visiting a cafe that surpassed all my expectations. As soon as I entered, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The friendly and patient staff added to the welcoming environment. But the highlight of my experience was the exceptionally tasty food. We started with the Selkie iced coffee (March special) and was impressed by its unique blend of flavors. The Campfire Stories latte was equally impressive, with its subtle chocolatiness and rich texture all accompanied by beignets with a chocolate dip. These sweet and tasty pastries were wonderful. For my meal, I opted for the Beast omelet, which was stuffed with savory bacon, peppers, mushrooms, sausage, and cheddar cheese. We also got a chicken provolone panini, which was equally delectable, with its perfectly cooked chicken and melted provolone cheese. The homefries that accompanied the panini were crispy and flavorful. A dash of salt (sea salt would be even better) made these homefries the perfect side with the panini. Despite the bathroom being located outside around the corner, it was clean and well-maintained. The decor and attention to detail throughout the cafe were pressive, and it was evident that the owners took great pride in their establishment. Overall, I highly recommend this cafe to anyone who appreciates great food, coffee, and a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was all exceptional. The staff were wonderful people, and I left feeling grateful for such a memorable experience.

Such an amazing gem in the middle of rural Tennessee! Cryptid Cafe offers amazing breakfast and lunch fare and a huge selection of tasty coffee and tea based beverages. Their play on Bagels (technically “baguelette”) and Lox (yes, they have it) was delicious as was the French Toast made with locally made bread. The vibe is so much fun! They have fun decor and that plays on the popular mythical creatures. This is also shown on the menu and drinks list. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. ❤️🌈

What a fun café! Included in the decor are posters of various cryptids- Mothman, Chupacabra, Nessy… Regardless of what you believe about them, what you may find unbelievable is the selection of specialty drinks and delicious menu items. The Rougarou coffee with its kick of cayenne and a plate of the biggest, tastiest beignets with a chocolate dipping sauce, not to mention the satisfying BLT, were out of this world! The owners and staff were so friendly and welcoming. Truly a gem you won’t want to miss in scenic Moss, TN.

I stopped here for some morning espresso. Great place for a pitstop. Next time I come by, I'll have some of the food. It looks delicious!

My husband and I discovered the Crypid Cafe as we were traveling through one Sunday morning. We had breakfast there and it was delicious. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff as well. We will definitely be going back.

Stopped in after checking out of our cabin on a girl's trip. The staff was amazing. A gentleman in the back and 2 girls who looked like sisters. THEY WERE AWESOME! The owners should feel good about having such a great staff! Super friendly and just got really good vibes from them! The cafe was super cute inside. The coffee was DELICIOUS as well as the parfait I had. If I ever go back to this area in Tennessee this spot will be a must! I have written about 2 reviews my whole life but felt writing a review for this place was a must! I see why the getaway cabins recommends this spot!

What a great place! My husband and I were staying at a cabin nearby but we wanted to watch the World Cup final, so he called in advance to check if it’d be possible to do that, and they said though they didn’t have TVs we were welcome to bring our computer and watch it. I’m so glad we did! Watching the game was fun, but the food and service just made it all the better! They have a great menu and the breakfast food is delicious, so much so that we came back for breakfast the next day. I made sure to try the coffee this time and it was so good! Make sure to try their homefries, they’re amazing! Husband and I both agree that if we’re ever in Tennessee again, even if it’s a couple hours away, we’ll make the detour to come here again lol

This place is absolutely fantastic. I drove by it on my way to my campsite and turned around because of the sign (my curiosity was definitely interested!). The husband and wife who own the place were incredibly friendly, and knew so much about the local cryptid lore and the natural awesomeness of the area. They didn’t hesitate to fill me in on places to hike and fun places to explore. Truly a wonderful experience. My Bigfoot iced coffee drink (with oat milk) was my favorite coffee drink that I’ve had in a long time. I will definitely visit again and will spread the word about this place to everyone I know. Hands down the coolest spot I’ve been in quite a while!

A little gem in Moss!.. UNIQUE and DELICIOUS coffee and food! Homey atmosphere, with wonderful owners, who truly enjoy bringing quality, fresh food and coffees.. everything about this place is amazing.... from the cute and unique names for everything and the cute and unique coffee cups to the tasty and delicious espresso coffee and homemade flavor syrups! ..oh yea and the lemonade is a must for my daughter every time we visit...Colleen has a talent at putting flavors together.. and you can’t forget her husband Brian who can make an amazing panini, gravy, out of this world legendary home fries, hand-breaded chicken, and there grab and go breakfast roll ups are good to, Colleen makes muffins that are to die for, espresso chocolate chip and lumber jack(bacon and maple) are two of my favorites. And you can’t forget the dessert, if you are a fan of lavender and rose .. she makes two amazing sugar cookies that have lavender and rose. I only ask for a dozen 1/2 rose 1/2 lavender and had 2 left at the end of the day!.. great customer service, friendly staff, amazing food and my favorite an iced coffee... oh yea and that’s not all ,if you just wanna eat at home but don’t wanna have to thaw meat ,cut veggies, and stand over a stove, they have what they call campfire meals that you can order and you can pick up and it’s ready to eat or save for later and all you have to do is preheat your oven and set the timer to warm ...if your in the area or even just looking for something New, Different, or Fresh this is the place to go...its way worth a short or even long drive ....definitely recommend you check this place out if you get the chance!
