I loved this tour so much!!! It was really cool to see all the backstage things for the Grand Ole Opry. The dressing rooms were really interesting to look at. They seem so simple but in my head, they were a lot fancier than they actually are. Most of them don’t even have their own bathrooms. Our tour guide was great! He told us which celebrities saw which dressing rooms. We were able to go on stage as well. I really recommend this tour & hope to one day see a show there.

We were in town on a business trip and got to tour the Grand Ole Opry. Such a wonderfully unique experience! The tour guide we had was fabulous and entertaining- she made sure to cover the history of the place with a nice flair of fun. The video they showed made me tear up, you can really tell it's an honor for someone to be invited to join as a member. We got to stand on the stage and it's unbelievable! I definitely recommend doing this tour and I can only imagine how awesome a show here is.

The venue is nice and you can see fine from anywhere. We were in the last row and didn’t have any problems. The seats are like church pews. They were comfortable. The show itself was entertaining as well. They had a variety of acts and each performed for around 15 minutes. It was nice to have them changing frequently. That way if they have one that you don’t like much it will switch out in a few minutes.

We couldn't believe how close we were to the stage, but I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. They also have big screens to watch the artists up close. There was a good variety of the Old and the new music. We even got to listen to a hilarious comedian, although many of the musicians made us laugh too. Seats were comfortable, bathrooms clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food and beverages were also available to take to your seats to enjoy. Don't miss it! Every show is unique.

The Opry was a great experience. We done the tour which was brilliant. Getting to see behind the scenes as well as all the dressing rooms and even where the members collect their mail was really cool. The place has so much stories to tell and plays a huge part of the country music scene. I was surprise at how tiny the Circle was, but excited to see it and stand on it. Seeing a show was nice too, it's an intimate experience and mostly suited for really country fans. (I am a country fan but not of anything too slow) Overall really glad I got to see a show and explore the Opry and Opry grounds. It's a must see for anyone visiting Nashville or for anyone who is a fan of the TV Show Nashville. Downside is the parking, it was a nightmare, it's all digital and done via an app and a phone number. If you have any number other than US or Canada don't bother trying parking here (plus it would have cost $20) We parked in the mall beside it and it was only an 8 mins walk to the Opry and it was free.

We did the backstage tour and had so much fun. Michael, our guide, made the tour informative and interesting. You’ll get to stand on the famous circle onstage, stand in the exact studio where the Heehaw show was filmed, and see the actual dressing rooms and green room where the performers get ready. An incredible experience that’s well worth the money! The interactive video that started off the tour had some of the most mind-blowing effects I’ve ever seen! Masks not required - yay! Wonderful experience. Gift shop was pricey as you can imagine but they have tons of cute stuff and you won’t be able to help shopping!

I was in Nashville for a few days and saw the Opry Country Christmas show. I purchased a ticket the day before at the ticket office. The venue is top-notch. It was easy to find my section. My seat was on the upper level but I could still see just fine and there were plenty of screens for a more up close view. Pew seating but it’s cushioned…plan to stand up or move out of the way if you have long legs and anyone in your row needs to get out. The ticket price was reasonable considering the number of artists performing. Concession stands sold food: snacks but also packaged salads, sandwiches and pizza. Alcoholic drinks were available. I had water and pretzel bites. Restrooms were easy to find and no long lines. I parked across the street at Opry Mills for free - that’s just a short walk. The show was entertaining and had audience participation. I did the backstage tour on a previous trip and recommend that at well.

AMAZING! LOVED IT!! We saw several artists but that night we were paying tribute to John Anderson. Who sounds just as good as he always has. He's a timeless classic! We loved Deana Carter as well. I wish I could have heard her sing more. I've always loved her. We were right on front and had an amazing view!

This is a wonderful venue to see great entertainment! The seats are Pews. *If you have any back issues the seat will get uncomfortable. Intermission is a great time to move and stretch while standing up. When purchasing Tickets for a show also purchase Parking. It makes it so easy to walk/use a walker /wheelchair under the lighted covered walkway to your vehicle and leave. Traffic moves really smoothly too. As you can see it’s decorated beautifully for Christmas. So much to take in. The Opry Mall is close too if you want to go out to eat or shop prior to your show. Alcoholic beverages are served at the bars set up in the foyer before a show and during intermission. Restrooms are located on the far right inside. The Restrooms outside on the far left are available to access before entrance inside. There is also the Axis Shop for purchasing tickets, the Opry Gift Shop along with The Roy Acuff House close by. You will not be allowed to enter until the entrance time. If it’s cold or rainy the Gift Shop or Mall are close options to wait.

Wonderful experience! I highly recommend anyone go there even if you don't know who's playing. Just the experience itself is great. Dress however you want. Definaly order tickets online. They have a great gift shop but it got very packed. Foods a little expensive as expected. But just overall a really great show and an even greater time.

We had the joy of watching For King and Country at the Grand Ole Opry House for the last show of their 2023 Christmas concert. The venue is a beautiful auditorium that is large enough to hold a good crowd, yet intimate enough to allow a close-up view from just about anywhere in the auditorium. At one moment during the concert, a performer walked up to the balcony to sing from the audience, which was certainly memorable.

We absolutely loved the entire experience!! I wish we had been able to get something from the gift shop afterwards, but we never could find the end of the checkout line. The seats were extremely comfortable. The entire venue is absolutely GORGEOUS. The lineup was FANTASTIC!! I genuinely hope we get to come back one day.

A must see for Country Music fans. The tour takes you through the dressing rooms, and the stage, and immerses you in the history and culture of the Opry. It's a really interesting and informative experience. The tour guides are great and really know their stuff. Prices isn't too bad for what you get to experience.

Hands down the best music venue I’ve ever been to and a MUST DO in Nashville. I had no clue that the Grand Ole Opry was a radio show and that made it even better. The wife and I had one of the best times we have ever had together. So much in fact we ended up getting tickets to come back the next day. If your a country music lover like we are you have to go. The staff was super friendly, parking was good and all I can say is WOW.

First time to the Opry, and I was not disappointed. Really no bad seat in the venue. The sound and acoustics are great. Be prepared to spend a hefty amount if you plan to drink. Domestic beers were $10. The presentation of everything is immaculate. The venue really goes above and beyond to make this a wonderful experience. There is a 15 minute intermission to allow patrons to use restroom or get food and drinks. Buy your tickets as early as possible. Tickets prices go up closer to showtime, even when seats are the same or further back or to the side. Fee additions are what you expect. You shouldn't need to worry about parking as there is a big open lot in front of the venue that is shared with other local shops. They will make it seem on the website that it is mandatory (or at least imperative) to buy a parking pass. My wife is a huge country fan, as I am more of a casual listener. Regardless, I still had a blast watching live music.

Came here as part of a group tour. Wasn't sure what to expect. Two hour show. Great performers! Loved the music! Loved the experience! Wish I lived closer - I'd be here a lot more often. Loved that the music wasn't so loud - I could hear when I left (my ears weren't ringing). Great history here - highly recommend!

This place is absolutely amazing. The history, the shows, the tour.. Definitely wanna set in a lower area if you have bad knees or an older person. It has an elevator to the 2nd floor, and then it has a wheelchair elevator to the balcony, and then it has more steps.. so if you don't do stairs, stay on the ground floor. Also, if you set on the top and are in the far right or left, you can't see the backdrop. They have screens but are outta of your vision. Beautiful history! The tour guide was so kind. Everyone was really nice.

At first I was a little concerned with selecting the $55 "cheap seats" but that's all that was available when we decided to go. I was relieved to see there is no bad seat in the house! It is such an intimate setting. We will definitely be back!

We had a great night at the Grand Ole Opry! Such an intimate and iconic venue. My seat was comfortable and so close to center stage. I loved being able to see so many different artists in one night. It was an excellent tribute to Kieth Whitley with Garth Brooks closing out the night like no other! Can’t wait to come back!!

While visiting Nashville we took in a show at the Grand Old Opry. We arrived a little early, so my wife and I sat on one of the pews in the lobby as we split an order of nachos purchased from the concession stand. The Grand Ole Opry concessions have a good variety to choose from for a quick meal or snack: nachos, sandwiches, salads, flat breads, soft pretzels, pop corn, etc. After our snack we went to our seats. Seating at the Grand Ole Opry is on padded pews. The padding is appreciated as the show lasts about three hours. But what a show it is! Every act is professional and spot-on. And the show offered a great variety of acts: traditional country, contemporary country, gospel, and Latin country. The Grand Ole Opry also features both "classic" artists from previous decades as well as newer artists currently climbing the country charts. I really liked how the show kept moving. There were only a couple minutes between each act as the tech crew quickly set the stage for each upcoming artist with awesome precision. I've been to shows at other venues with multiple acts, and it is common to wait 45 minutes between acts as the stage is set. So, I was very impressed that at the Grand Ole Opry the acts seamlessly transitioned from one to the other. We enjoyed the show and the venue. A trip to Nashville really isn't complete without a visit to the Grand Ole Opry.

My first trip to the Grand Ole Opry was great! Such a nice place and the sound was amazing. We took our 9-year old to see her favorite guitarist perform and we had the best time. I've been to hundreds of concerts in my life. I glad to finally get to visit the Opry. I hope to make it back there again soon.

We did the back stage tour on our visit. It did not disappoint! Everything I was hoping for. Grand Ole Opry has been a place I’ve always wanted to see and this tour is a great way to do so. The guide was very nice. She was patient with us taking a bunch of photos. The kids liked it. We were able to see all the rooms and even walk on stage. Worth it if your a country fan!

Incredible!!!! What an experience! We have been telling everyone we know that the Grand Old Opry is a place they must see! The patriotism, reverence and history are so evident from the very first moments. We will definitely be back and we feel like we experienced history, Christianity, loyalty, pride, partnership, admiration, talent and love beyond belief! Thank you!!

This is our 3rd visit to the G.O. Opry. If we lived closer I'd go to a show there every month. It's a small intimate setting and the crowds are always respectful. No one is yelling, whistling, or standing up in front of you like at typical concerts. There's not a bad seat in the house. Acoustics are spectacular! Can't say enough Great things about this special Iconic experience. We love the Grand Ole Opry! It makes me want to move to Nashville!

I’m not a country music fan, but when I heard Carrie Underwood would be there, we thought we’d give it a shot. We went for the Saturday evening 9:30 show. Opted for the paid parking, but I’m not sure we needed to. It truly was a wonderful evening. Each artist gave their best as far as I can tell and each was enjoyable. If you don’t like a particular artist, just wait a song or two. Aaron Weber was hilarious. Matthew West was charming and warm (and funny). And Underwood? There are artists and then there are stars. She is a star. Grateful to be able to have heard her. So if you’re in the Nashville area on a Saturday evening, make it a priority. Very enjoyable.

4/20/2023: Oh, what a night! I’ve been dreaming about The Grand Ole Opry since I was a little girl. It’ was so much fun! It was like we were watching a show, then we were at church singing gospel hymns, then we had some older country favorites we all sang together. The place is bigger than I thought it would be. It’s a gorgeous place! Security is tight, which is nice. All of the staff are helpful and take you to your seats, even the higher up seats. I would definitely return! All the times watching shows on TV, now I can actually say I’ve been there! We took the backstage tour after. I highly recommend doing that. It’s a nice behind the stage look and then you become family! Don’t forget to tip your tour guides!

David was our charming guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and had a great sense of humor. They were having a practice session so we didn't get to stand in the circle, but being able to see an up and coming artist practicing on stage was worth it!! The dressing rooms were each very unique and we had plenty of time to take it all in. Great tour for all ages!!

My recent visit to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville was nothing short of a sensational experience. From the moment I stepped inside the complex, I was enthralled by its grandeur and warm Southern hospitality. The architecture, both inside and out, was a testament to the rich history of country music, and it felt like stepping into a musical shrine. One of the first things that caught my eye was the large gift shop, filled with a wide array of country music memorabilia and souvenirs. It was a country music lover's paradise. I couldn't resist picking up some unique keepsakes to remember the night. The Grand Ole Opry complex also offered numerous dining options and places to grab a refreshing drink, ensuring that guests could enjoy a delightful meal or quench their thirst before the show. The convenience of having all these amenities within the complex made the evening even more enjoyable. But what truly made the night remarkable was the size of the arena. It was just the right balance, not too big, ensuring that no matter where you sat, you had an excellent view of the performers on stage. And what a show it was! The tribute night featured Garth Brooks and several other country music legends, leaving the audience in awe with their extraordinary performances. My visit to the Grand Ole Opry was a memorable experience. The exceptional complex, a vast gift shop, various dining options, and an intimate arena made it a night to remember. If you're a country music enthusiast, this iconic venue in the heart of Nashville is an absolute must-visit. It's a place where the magic of country music truly comes alive.

We took the guided tour here on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024. Our tour guide Jessica was very good, explained things perfectly and answered all questions. It was nice seeing the ins and outs of this iconic music hall and get a photo on stage. Our experience was partially ruined at the completion of the tour when we went into the gift shop and the two rude employees there advised us there was only one photo package from the photo taken on stage ($30 for a pair of 6 x 8 prints, a 4 x 6 print and a digital download) and became hostile when questioned about other options. One employee even went to the extreme of taking our photos off the wall where they were all displayed.

We ordered tickets online and it was a quick process to pick them up. I loved that we could get food and drinks in a store format...it really helped keep the lineup down. The show was wonderful. We sat to the left of the stage so could not see the announcer and some musicians but the sound and energy were great! Thank you.

Backstage tour with David was great! Came back for the Opry Country Christmas show the same evening and it was wonderful as well. Studio A with Jon Pardi after the show...also good. More audience interaction would have been good there, but still a great experience.

It was our first visit to the Grand Ole Opry and it was Awesome. We loved every entertainer on stage. We purchased tickets for the post show back stage tour and really enjoyed that as well. Maddie did a great job taking our group back stage and telling us what goes on. The Grand Ole Opry was the highlight to our stop in Nashville.

Historic place and home of country music in Nashville, if in the area you have to visit. The tour of the theatre during the day was interesting and well led, you get to see the behind the scenes dressing rooms and waiting areas as well as walk through backstage along with gŕeaf stories about the stars. The evening performance is a tribute to country music and would appear to be a bit of an old boys/girls club by what I perceive to be the gatekeepers to success in the industry. Didn't see any young performers around and Geriatric comes to mind. That said, the old timers put on a pretty good show which was mostly entertaining. It was an enjoyable experience all in all.

It was our first time to the Grand Ole Opry and it did not disappoint! Our seats were on the side of the stage but not bad seats at all. We loved every minute of it. We will definitely plan another trip there some day. We did the backstage tour after the show and Jeanna our tour guide was fantastic! She was very informative. We would definitely recommend doing the show and the tour as a package deal. Amazing evening for our Anniversary

  • 5/5 Carol B. 4 months ago on Google
We saw the gatlin Brothers and Rebecca Lynn Howard, as well as other musicians. The show is presented as a live broadcast on their radio station, which made it that much more fun. The theater is very nice with comfortable seating and good views everywhere. We got the VIP tickets with a backstage guided tour. Each group only has a few people in it, and the experience is very personal. Our tour guide was fantastic and we got to see the many dressing rooms (much fun) and learn about the history of the theater. I'm so glad I finally got to go to the Grand Ole Opry and have this wonderful experience.

Most certainly a must do while in Nashville. I bought tickets in advance as others that vacationed here recommended as sometimes they sell out. However, tickets were available although, you may have had to wait for a slot as they keep the groups to a certain size. The gal that guided our tour was knowledgeable and very informative. She did allow for questions from the group and answered them well. The history is absolutely fascinating! The tour gave me a deeper understanding and appreciation for the performers who performed at the Grand Ole Opry. Moreover, a great respect for the Country and Western artists inducted as members.

Although I have been to Nashville many times in the past, I worked for a music company there, I had never been to the Opry. It was a new place for my wife and Opry was the top spot. We managed a 3 night stay at Wyndham just two blocks from Opry complex. Although I had ordered great first floor seats, nothing but issues trying to download the AXS tickets to my iPhone. So I canceled them just went to the box office there. Unfortunately the floor seats were gone so only mezzanine seats left. Luckily there was an elevator and a chair lift up to the handicapped seats. Before the show we did the backstage tour. The highlight of the tour was being invited into Don Schlitz’ dressing room for a nice chat. Didn’t know who he was til he said he wrote dozens of hit song including The Gambler. It was great and we even got a pic standing on the famous wood circle from the original Opry. The Opry show was terrific, even from the mezzanine plenty loud enough. Great music, especially from Curtis Chapman and son’s group who on their first appearance. My only disappointment was one singer that more heavy metal than country, more fitted for Wolf Trap than the Opry.

Wow! What a classic venue. You can feel immense talent that makes this a huge showcase for young/upcoming, current and ageless superstar performers. The Customer Service was great, even moving us and others down to closer seats. They keep things moving and in-between the MC is great. If close you have to check this out country fan or not.

We enjoyed our visit, show and post tour. We saw a country classic show. They change up the shows so they have different people in different days of the week. It was a great venue with only 4,400 seats and there's not a bad seat and you could move around with ease because it wasn't overly crowded! That made it very nice!! The show flowed well, Larry Gaitlyn did an excellent job hosting and it was a fabulous show that made you feel right at home! The post tour, a behind the scenes look at what goes on backstage. was excellent as well! It's a solid 45 minutes of going through were the singers enter, quite a few dressing rooms and going on stage. Note, this tour was all standing. The shop was large and had a variety of items but it was expensive. A must see for any music fan! We definitely will take an opportunity to visit again!
