Went
for
a
Sunday
trail
hike
on
the
Chiltern
route
and
came
across
this
pub
near
the
end.
We
decided
to
fill
up
with
a
roast
after
4
hours
of
walking,
and
my
partner
and
I
each
had
the
beef
roast
with
shared
sides
of
cauliflower
cheese
and
stuffing.
The
main
was
really
nice,
gravy
and
beef
slices
could
have
been
thicker.
After
the
main,
it
took
a
while
to
get
served.
For
dessert
we
each
had
the
peach
crumble,
which
was
nice
but
lukewarm.
My
crumble
contained,
what
I
believe
to
be,
a
piece
of
plastic.
It
was
hard
and
half
the
size
of
a
pea.
When
flagged,
the
staff
kindly
got
me
another
crumble
and
advised
it
was
a
piece
of
crystallised
sugar
-
I
didn't
argue
but
disagree
as
it
had
0
taste
and
definitely
would
have
broken
when
I
chomped
down
on
it.
When
the
new
crumble
came
out,
it
was
piping
hot
as
I
would
have
expected
it
to
be
and
contained
no
plastic
/
crystallised
sugar.
The
place
itself
was
quite
niche,
random
bits
and
bobs
placed
everywhere,
low
cushioned
archways
for
people
like
me
who
hit
their
head,
and
a
large
outdoor
area
which
I
imagine
is
lovely
in
the
sun.
An
ok
experience
marred
by
the
dessert,
plenty
of
other
eatery's
in
the
area
should
I
ever
do
the
walk
again.
