A divine place and one should visit to get blessings of lord Shiva @ Malahaanihareshwarar and Parvathy devi @ Bhavani amma. Temple is pretty old and you would be able to be understand it when you visit there. Sringeri mutt and acharyals rebuilt this temple and reincarnated. Please don't forget to see the Sthambha Ganapati. When H. H Abhinava Narashimha Bharathi the 24th Acharya in the early 17th century visited this temple for the frist time, he noticed the absence of any Ganesha image. Immediately taking up a piece of turmeric, he drew an outline of Ganesha on the pillar and offered puja. Ever since then, the murthi has been slowly but steadily bulging out in full relief making the granite stone hallow inside. Walkable from Sharadhamba temple 500 meters and have to climb around 150 steps. Autos and cars can go till the hill top by an alternate route. Darshan Timing: 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 NOON 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Please click on 👍 if the information and photos are useful 🙏

It's a real TAPO BHUMI...We can feel the Divine vibrations by just sitting near the main temple Mantapa. We must have Darshan of Sthamaba Ganapati. This Temple is a real boon for all Spiritual Seekers & Saadhakas to do JAPA, Meditation & chanting silently the Sahasranamam of Lalitha or our beloved God/Godess. All must visit have Darshan and feel the bliss ❤️🕉️❤️🕉️😊

This temple should not missed visited if you are in Shringeri, owing to its historical significance. Premises renovation works are going on these days.

One quiet place in Sringeri. Not many people know this place. It’s on a hillock, middle of Sringeri and a cool place to visit. A small temple and a lovely view of the town below.

Malahanikareshwara (The Destroyer of Ills) is a very powerful aspect of Shiva. It's history is older than even that of the famed Sharadamba in Sringeri. The sage Vibhandaka, father of Rishyashringa - after whom this mountainous region is named as Shrinagiri (now Sringeri) - invoked Shiva into this Shivalinga. And after years of austerity was himself merged into it. The Sringeri Jagadgurus give due regard to this, recently renovating the entrance gopuram and the overall temple. There isn't sufficient awareness of this temple yet among devotees. The temple is just walkable from the Sharadamba temple entrance. Accessible both via stairs or a winding road. The Shivalinga is magnificent. It'll hardly take half an hour extra of your time to visit this holy temple. I would humbly exhort all devotees to visit Malahanikareshwara and seek his blessings to remove all negativities in life.

Unbelievably tranquil atmosphere inside this temple. It's a treat to see the Linga, the Goddess and the Stambha Ganapati. You feel totally peaceful when you are here. Not many visitors who come to the Sharadamba temple visit here. Do visit whenever you are in Sringeri to experience the bliss.

A temple one MUST visit while in Sringeri. The temple hill elevated in the center of the city, and is green with all evergreen trees. The Pradosha Pooja ( between 6-8 pm) everyday is worth attending.
