Out of all the bars we visited while in Copenhagen for a week in October 2021, Curfew offered two things- 1) A speakeasy experience and 2) Conversations with the bartenders. Located along busy Vesterbrogade north of the meatpacking district, you ring a door bell to get into the waiting area. Once in, the bookshelf opens into the bar space. During the week, they keep the front room open and open the back room on weekends when its more than tourists visiting. The cocktail menu is long, but even better are the bartenders. Taking pride in what they do, you can ask them to make a drink that you like. They appreciate the challenge. My friend and I both did bartender's choice and were pleased with our drinks. We also had fun chatting with the two bartenders. They asked us questions about our hometown and gave us many insights into Copenhagen life and Danish culture.

Best cocktail bar in Copenhagen, by far!!! After a long 8 months of absence, I could not stay away any longer... They offer the most exquisite, delicious, mind-blending & mind-blowing cocktails! Their menu, which offers seasonal cocktails and is updated quite often, has a wide of variety of options that will please even the most demanding drinkers! Also their service has a very personal approach and is of top quality! I am totally making this place my new regular cocktail bar option!!! Make sure to visit it during your stay in Copenhagen!☆☆☆☆☆

Behind the bookshelf lies a hidden gem. You are welcomed by Humberto and his staff in an astonishing cozy atmosphere. The cocktails and the service... Out of this world. Pssst... I'll recommend trying the Ramos Gin Fizz and the legendary First Aid. You won't be disappointed.

I can't count how many times I have visited Curfew with my friend Patrick. The "hidden" Curfew behind the bookshelf on Vesterbrogade is the best bar in Copenhagen. Authentic, amazing lounge mood and always a great experience to be greeted by Humberto in the door. I can recommend the First Aid drink or ask them to do a special one for you using their last century mixer.

Great atmosphere in this speakeasy-looking bar. One of its kind in Copenhagen for sure! The staff is very attentive and kind (also fun, which is always very appreciated!), the cocktails can be quite creative also in their presentation which makes the experience even more entertaining. Overall, it feels like being in a time capsule, every aspect of the bar from the decor to the clothing is down to the detail. Only downside perhaps? Time flew! And reservations are 2h only so we were "kindly reminded to leave" at the end of our reservation time, as other people were waiting.

Lovely little speakeasy with big 1920s prohibition vibes. Located behind a shelf of books, we walked right past it twice before figuring it out. Some of the best cocktails I've had. We had the Applefence, Quadriga Sidecar, Catcher in the rye and the Truffle honey old fashioned. Great service as well.

Stylish and classy cocktail bar. They celebrate cocktails as art. Must go - must taste. Better do a reservation in advance. Best place around!

Curfew has gone with the 1920s speakeasy theme. You need to be buzzed in and let behind the bookcase. The music is swing and blues/R&B. Large menu which covers a great deal. You're very likely to find something you like and something to push your boundaries. The ice game is on point. Some drinks do get a bit out of hand on the embellishments but they are fun. Service is friendly and efficient as long as things don't get too busy. This is definitely one of the more entertaining cocktail bars in town.

Terrible service and overpriced drinks! @Curfew: Even your colleagues were surprised by the fact that we could not be served! They excused the behavior/service we received! We had no interaction whatsoever with any other guest, but were sitting at our own table quietly talking. Fine for you to explain and try to vindicate the your (lack) of service. We can agree to disagree!

Interesting and inventive concept for a hidden bar. The service was very courteously. The cocktails are on the pricier side I would say but still worth it!

We were looking for the best bar in Copenhagen for 3 evenings and ended up in Curfew. We still don't know if there are better ones because we stopped our search there (we were more than 3 evenings in Copenhagen, which means we visited again ^^). The atmosphere with the roaring 20s, prohibition theme is very cozy. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They do off-the-menu drinks and they know what they are doing. Everyone who is in Copenhagen and enjoys a good cocktail has to visit this bar!

This is hands down the best cocktail bar in Copenhagen, me and the wife went there this weekend, we didn't have a booking, but they did their magic, and found a table for us. When you enter it's like you are stepping into the glorious times of the 1930s, impeccable atmosphere, and the staff is top notch, never experienced anything like this, but this kind bar is exactly what I have been looking for, it's just perfection, with incredible original cocktails. Definitely coming back!

Very nice cocktail bar in Vesterbro. Menu: 4* interesting mix of original gin, bourbon, mezcal and other based cocktails. Would have loved classics like whisky sour, but overall a strong offering. Great feature with the customized ice cubes which would be excellent with clear ice. Interior: Good mix of seating for 1, 2 and smaller groups. Looks cozy. I wasn't excited about the heavy high chairs with uncomfortable back support. Service: 5* Very professional, but English only. Would be good if they didn't charge additional % for AmEx payment. Price: 4* It's quite expensive which could be justified if everything else was 5*. Also, serve some snacks or nuts when charging these prices and I'd actually drink more. I'd likely visit Curfew again.

This place is great if you’re looking for a bar to wind down your night. They are extremely helpful and the interior is cool. This place averages on £20 per cocktail which is pricey but i was more than happy to pay the prices as the service and cocktails were all top quality and the drinks were all unique.

Really nice play in the heart of Copenhagen. I have been there frequently because I like the concept that everything is old and vintage. I have tried most of the cocktails they have and I'm looking forward for the spring 23' I would suggest the plan as ideal to go on a date 😉

Haven’t noticed this place in Vesterbrogade, before finding it as a highly rated cocktails bar in Google. Really impressed with the theme, and also with the cocktails. Pro tip: make reservation before going.

!Not as good as expected Went with my boyfriend last night . His cocktail was nice and tasty. Mine- not at all. I ordered a cocktail following the barman’s advice. It was plain, tasteless, and simply just not worth 150 dkk. He refused to change the drink and suggested to add some ingredients. It felt like he simply added more sugar and said it deepened the taste. I never ask to return any cocktails, but these ones are really expensive, and simply do not stand to the price. Overall, the experience was disappointing..

This place was nothing less than magical! Standing in line and a well dressed polite and smiling man looking like something from John wick, will guide you through the hidden door in the bookshelf. Once your in, the jazzy tones hits your ears, and then you notice the colors on the walls, all the deco, the high ceiling, all taking you back to 50's as if your were in an old Capone flick.. once your in your seat, a decadent drink menu, doesn't matter if you want a cocktail, wine, Bubbles, snacks, they will provide and serve with a smile from the long bar. give them a visit if you wanna break the cipher with too many random dull, and nothing out of the ordinary bars. you won't be disappointed! 👏I will be back soon❤️🍸

The non-Classic cocktails were very nice. The ingredients were matched nicely together. The staffs were quite nice friendly and attentive. The place itself could have been decorated much better. There are some tables in the middle of the place which are not very cozy. All in all good but not something I’d go back, with this price I can go to better cocktail bars in Copenhagen

Probably the best cocktails in Denmark and the interior, wow! Having been to Curfew when they were at their old location, I'm glad to see the owner taking advantage of the amount of space they have at their new location. The service is amazing and very hands on staff. We always feel taken care of when we're there and one of our favorite hangout spots. Comment from my husband: they have very clean toilets too with nice pictures. I would recommend "Unfaithful" to anyone who loves liquorice. My husband's recommends "First Aid" been his favorite since the first time he tasted it.

Probably the most expensive cocktail bar I have visited, luckily both of the cocktails I had was really good, especially the last one was just perfect. Liked the atmosphere and the bartender was professional and friendly so I would probably go back.

Curfew is an amazing bar. Will recommend anyone to book. We visited on a Friday evening and although every table was full we never had the feeling of being crowded. Extremely friendly greeting and very knowledgeable staff. Simply everyone should go. The speakeasy theme was so one point to the finest detail. Enjoyed so much we booked again for the Sunday evening, this time it was quiet compared to the Friday but still Extremely enjoyable.

Amazing bar at the heart of Copenhagen serving the BEST cocktails we have ever tried in a very unique atmosphere!! Once we attempted to challenge the bartenders with additional requests off the menu and were very pleasantly surprised with the results 🥂
