Really great place to come to try a variety of local dishes and sit over a glass of wine, beer or cup of coffee. The fruit and flower stalls in the middle are delightful. Lots of places to sit. The stalls and tapas style of eating reminds me of Spanish markets. Family friendly and also good for meeting friends.

They said it's market but it's more like luxury food court which have some fresh vegetable, fruit and meat also seafood. Several famous restaurant and cafe have their stall here. Worth to come and try their food. Indoor and outdoor seating area. Restroom are outside and clean. Easy to access by bus and Subway. Really enjoy.

Amazing food! It reminded me a bit of Barcelona’s market. This one is smaller and very interesting. But it’s more a place to find snacks rather than full on meals. Lovely nonetheless. There’s an outdoor seating area and tons of specialty food. Well worth the visit.

The market is very clean and organized, and sells a wide range of ingredients, raw foods and cooked foods. Very interesting. Food is great.

I honestly don’t understand the 5 star reviews to this place. I’ll give 0 star if I can. You cannot event call it a market. I’ve been to the central markets in Florence, in Lisbon, the outdoor morning market in Venice near Rialto bridge, Pike Street market in Seattle, and many more, all has a liveliness to it to call it a market. The bare minimal is that it needs to offer both fresh food/ingredients and good cooked food. We were very hungry in a dark night at around 6pm (Copenhagen winter time sun sets at 3-4pm, KBH closes at 7), circled around the “market”for three rounds. First we were surprised how small it is. Second, we cannot find anything to buy, to eat. There were few eateries, but anything looks even remotely like you can buy something, there was a long line. There is so few place to seat. It would be better off buying frankfurter at one of the night “Christmas markets”.

I’m found of food markets, one of my main interests when I travel. This is a great one, high quality in all the products, most of them from local producers. Nice places for lunch and get a taste of local food. A bit expensive, yes, as usual in this kind of markets in the middle of a touristic place, like San Miguel in Madrid. If you can afford it, enjoy a great value…

A must try place when you're in Copenhagen 🌈💜💜 Just expect everything to be very pricey. A wide variety of fish, meet, coffee, sweets, drinks, fruits and vegetables, Perfect to spend a good amount of time there.

This is the at the heart of Copenhagen! You can spend many many hours here enjoying all kinds of raw and cooked food, desserts, fresh herbs, spices and lots is wonderful fresh produce that you get here! Absolutely love this place. Lots of variety, lots of flavours. Yeah, a bit expensive but it comes with an experience. And the food in most stalls is really good!

A great place to visit on your culinary travels. Two buildings with lots to choose from. The pork sandwich was incredible and the tacos were excellent as well.

Beautiful food market spread over two buildings. Popular with locals and tourists alike, it's great for shopping or grabbing a bite. You can get very different kinds of food - smørrebrød, oysters, smoked fish, pastry, tacos, tapas.... Plenty of choices! We loved to eat there and try out new things. It's busy at peak times, but absolutely worth a short wait.

Roast pork , veal meatballs and seafood dishes were so goooodd! It’s so fun visiting Torvehallerne where you can find all sorts of cuisines. Hija de sanchez were a no go , meats were so dry. Plenty of better taco places in California.

Great market place! U get everything u want, from fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, meet, cheese and the typical danish smorrebrod to bakery products, coffee bar and useful household articles to desert! A must seen in Copenhagen! Have lunch or dinner here, outside or inside the market. Prices rather high, but worth it.

With its commitment to quality, sustainability, and a wide range of gastronomic offerings, it remains a true gem for food enthusiasts and an essential stop for travellers seeking an authentic taste of Copenhagen.

This location is amazing with so many shops to choose from. Fresh seafood available, various kinds of sandwiches topped with multiple options. There was also a sushi bar, coffee shops, a tea bar and various wine and beer options as well. There’s a fruit & vegetables outdoor market for you to explore the fresh produce. I settled for fish & chips and blue mussels in the end and it was divine! Definitely a must stop if you are in the area and you’ll be in for a great treat!

If you get over the fact that Copenhagen is very expensive then you can enjoy this town and food market. It’s has vast variety of seafood eateries and food options for a nice meal. They also have fresh seafood market and produce that look amazing. It’s a nice place to meet up with friends for a drink or a relaxing lunch. Highly recommend visiting this food market when you are visiting Copenhagen.

Known for fresh food market around the area but quiet pricey. A must visit to feel the busy market ambience if it’s your first time. Looking place to dine-in was not too easy

Ahhh these markets were one of our favourite things that we did in Copenhagen. They had SO MANY food stalls and lots of options! We're vegetarian so we opted for the veggie Smorrebrod they had on offer. I think we spent around 2 hours here walking around, eating and looking at all the different stalls! Amazing markets 👏👏

It's market but it's more like luxury food court which have some fresh vegetable, fruit and meat also seafood. Several famous restaurant and cafe have their stall here. On the other hand, there not many places to sit so make sure you’re prepared to takeaway especially in winter. Worth to come and try. Really enjoy.

What a lovely place - ended up coming here twice for lunch on my trip. So amazing to look at the stunning and fresh produce. Would recommend the Rørt smørrebrød stall and Fisk Boutique for authentic Danish snacks!

Couple from Singapore. Visited on a Sunday afternoon. Many peoples gathering with drinks. Had snow crab legs, oysters, scallops and salmon from Hav. Prices on a high side. Many others choices available. Worth visiting.

Great food market, with some interesting and delicious choices. I gave it 4 stars due to a lack of seating. But other than that, go for it. And get the pulled pork burger.

Definitely a must-visit when you're in Copenhagen. One half grocer and fresh food court, the other half a food market, with everything from speciality coffee and tea, chocolate, wine and spirits, to bakery/patisserie, smørrebrod, pasta, Latin American, tapas and loads more. There are even a few additional food trucks outside, which weren't there the last time I visited. So plenty of choice! And outdoor seating as well as indoor.

Cornucopia of outstanding food & beverages. Choose from freshly prepared, raw ingredients, open market, fresh cheese/meats/seafood. Something for everyone. Wonderful indoor & outdoor seating & people watching. Can't go wrong here.

A very nice market to eat in Copenhagen. There are many choices. You can find seafood, Italian food, coffee shop, and Danish Smorrebrod. It is a bit similar to Eataly, but seating is limited. You might need to stand and eat your food. There are cool souvenirs sold here as well.

Favorite lunch in Copenhagen! Overall food was really good and a lot of options. If visiting with people, I highly recommend getting a little from different stands and trying a bit of everything. Some stalls close at 4pm.

This is a great market full of shops from everyday groceries to craft beer and Danish specialities. We visited often for a beer, dessert or a bite. It’s an excellent place for a bite and people watching, full of tourists and locals. It’s about a 10 min walk from Rosenborg Clot and easy to get to! Like many places in Copenhagen, this place is overrun with wasps- especially at the fruit stalls where we saw many.

One of our favourite stops on a short visit to Copenhagen. We have some Smorrebrod, it was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming too! We were also face timing our daughter whilst waking through the next day, showing her the fruit market and the owner called us over and gave us a punnet of strawberries telling us to give them to her as a surprise! What a guy! The world is still so full of great people!

Loved the food market. There is a large variety of food stalls, you can buy something to eat at the place directly (smorebread, seafood) or take home (spices, chocolate, fish, etc.). We enjoyed the time spent here, much better than in any breakfast shop or cafe.

Really great food market, very diverse and fresh. You can get a lot of sweets, chocolates, good coffee, fresh and brilliant sushi, alcohol, vegetables and fruits, hams, see food, and more. Highly recommended.

Amazing place!! The market has many nice restaurants, with a lot of variety, and delicious food. The place is very well located and organized. You can find fresh and organic fruits and vegetables. Impossible to go to Copenhagen and not visit this market. I strongly recommend this place!!

Lovely, clean, well-organized indoor food market. Two big heated halls with a fruit and flowers market in between. Many options inside, enough vegetarian options. Plenty of seating areas inside and outside (the outside areas are covered if there's rain and some are heated too)

Food hall, fresh produce, covered market and much more. Looks small from the outside but it’s huge with a great selection of places to eat and shop for fresh groceries. Loved it here and worth the trip to this place.

A lil bit overpriced but good enough... I took smorrebrod fish, the bread quite dense with a lot of grain, the fish is nice, the sauce I assume mayonnaise with refreshing taste really get along with all in plate.

The groceries and food here are a bit pricey but it is a super fun and cute set up. It was really crowded when we went but that was on a sunny Saturday afternoon so I imagine it is not always like this.

I loved this place. Could stay there for hours. Everything’s interesting and looking good and clean. There’s a toilet building nearby that is very clean too. What you can buy from there as gifts is much better than the usual souvenir.

A must visit in Copenhagen for all good lovers. Houses many delicious food stalls, as well as a lot of fresh produce. As tourists we came here to try various food stalls and was not disappointed.

Amazing mixed market, fruit, veg, meat & fish, mixed wonderfully together with tapas bars, coffee shops, food stalls & kitchen accessories shops. Worth the trip, and great for a mouch about on a wet day as mostly inside.

Here it is. The famous food court & market of Copenhagen. A great thing about it, it’s not only a tourist like food court like many around the world, local people also come and hang around snacking some great food. Choice of food is very large, from local smorrebrod, seafood delicacies, Spanish tapas, French bakery and pastry, Italian pizza. Everything can’t be great, but it’s always good to have some choices. Good coffee also. Lastly, fresh veggies, fruits, meat and seafood available, as part of the market offer.

It's a lovely place to grab lunch or coffee. Has a Variety of local cafes, bakeries, wine selling and fruit local market. I got a pastry with vanilla cream that I love. It's not huge but it has a good vibe. It's not cheap. It's like everywhere else.

It reminds me of Melbourne Victoria Market, Danish way😊 There's a fresh fruit and vegetables outside and inside there is some small restaurants from Tapas, Sushi to fish and chips. Different stalls for cheese, sausages and fresh meats and fresh fish. They even have a baking/cooking tools shop. 👍👍👍It's very good to visit if you're visiting Copenhagen

  • 4/5 Daniel W. 1 year ago on Google
Interesting market and Food hall with great variety of food and produce. There are actually two indoor buildings and an outdoor area. Prices are not cheap but so is everything in Copenhagen. Good one stop place to try different foods including the must try smorrbrod. End with coffee and soft ice-cream at the Coffee Collective.

if you want to get to know a city, check out its market. This is also true of Copenhagen. Very demanding, tidy, with quality goods, a large selection of handicrafts. I just loved it. The morning should start here.

Loved this place! Different types of food stalls from a Smørrebrød stand to several cafe & pastry places as well as delis and cooking utensils shops spread over two indoor glass houses. A nice alternative to restaurants and bars but it's open only until 7 pm.
