The worst experience that i ever had in my life. Since you get there until you leave. I got there around 8:30 AM at 12:00 PM i was ready to go home but the nurse gave me the discharge papers at 6:00 PM. She went to my room from another one without changing her gloves. She was making funny of me because she knew what she was doing keeping me over there for no reason. I reported to the manager nurse in charge but she really didn’t help me. I finally got out of there at 8:00 PM. The only thing that i learned from that is that medicine is just a business. I will make some changes in my life and i hope never come back to any Emergency room. 🤮😡

I wish I could give this “hospital” no stars, first of all the nurses were rude and even laughed at my girlfriend while she was explaining why she was there. If your child has gotten r*ped and you need the test done, don’t come here. The staff does not care about their patients and don’t even try to reason with them, they will talk over you. If you have an emergency go literally anywhere else. The staff couldn’t care less about their patients, people that spent years in schooling to care for people and they don’t care!

Worst ER experience. I can here with my pregnant wife when she started bleeding around 9 weeks into pregnancy. The ER made us wait 5 hours before they could do an ultrasound to confirm if the baby is okay or not. They kept doing tests after tests just to make sure if she’s even pregnant. The first blood work was not enough for their lab. If I could give a minus rating I would do that.

They took wonderful care of the baby when we were there. This was our first experience and found everyone to be both knowledgeable and very caring.the new pediatric ER is very clean and the staff are all extremely helpful and professional. From the ER to the inpatient floor we had excellent care in a difficult situation.

Went there with my 9 year old for my daughter who was spitting up Blood and the resident asked if I recently took her to visit someone in prison beyond insulting. I had to explain to her the ignorance in the world. Horrible

Horrible ER and negligent staff. Took my husband there due to cardiac trouble. During 18 HOUR visit we were left alone for abou 16 1/2 hours. The poor elderly woman next to us had to use a bedpan and the nurse would help her on to it then leave and not come back. She would be screaming for a nurse for length periods of time. Twice I had to track someone down for her. She was there for almost 2 days according to her. We had a team of 3 doctors plus a cardiologist, not once did they come back to even check on us. Not once. Nor did our nurse. Once we were told that we were being discharged we pretty much got kicked out of our cubicle and stood waiting for nearly an hour waiting for our discharge papers. No one knew where our nurse or doctors went. Please save yourself the trouble and go to a different ER if you can.

I thought I liked this place, but my mom is there as a stroke patient who cannot SPEAK or MOVE and the nurses there don’t seem to care. Don’t check on her like they should, she can’t call for help, she needs these people who are suppose to care for her to actually care for her. My sister went to visit and my mom had no blanket on, her area down there was out for everyone to see and she was all the way to one side of the bed and crying. How is that okay???? DO BETTER. Nurse assistant Claire is terrible. She was suppose to come in and reposition my mom and never showed.. didn’t say one word to her or I but was so happy with the patient right next to my mom. She’s rude and they need to let her go. The only good thing about this place was the neuro ICU because they actually cared for her.

Bad experience in this hospital emergency room "the nurses" are only talking to each other and they don't come to help the patients, they think they are very important and when you talk to them they see you with a bad face and have a bad attitude. a lot of discrimination when people don't speak english, very bad experience.

This emergency room is a horror show. I felt like I was trapped in the cuckoo‘s nest with Jack Nicholson and nurse Ratched. I was mistreated, assaulted and abused by staff. I am a 60 year old handicapped grandmother and I am now completely traumatized!!! This is definitely a case of elder abuseI!! ’m sure they’ll delete this review because they keep deleting my daughter's reviews. What’s the matter? Good Sam, the truth hurts? ER Doctor completely falsified my charts. I have identified 14 outright lies. Just a tip doc, don't contradict yourself, which you did in my chart and you did it on the same page!!!! PROOOF that you falsified my chart. I think that might be a felony in New York State. Fellow patients please crawl on your hands and feet to Southside Hospital, avoid Good Sam because they are cruel, mean and extremely unprofessional! In fact I would describe them as animals! They enjoyed my humiliation like it was a show for their entertainment, what a bunch of sickos!!!

I would like to give a 5 star review to James from the Emergency Department. James is not a doctor or nurse. James does a GREAT job helping the patients. James went over & beyond making sure I had pillows, blanket , & stop by to check up on me if I needed anything else. Thank You James for your help in my stay at Good Samaritan. You truly made me feel like I was at home. Thanks Pal .

If possible i would give a 0 star review. Nurses and Doctors don’t give a single damn about patients, even the phone operators have the most heinous attitude and completely disregard the fact that they’re dealing with patients who are struggling. Racist staff makes it obvious that not everyone is welcome to be treated in this facilities. Following instructions that I was given at discharge I called back the hospital to set up a re-evaluation, however when I did this the first phone operator hung up on me abruptly after telling me they “don’t provide the service I’m looking for” and then the second operator I spoke to tried to lie to me saying that their staff never hangs up on people. I would’ve been better off suicidal and struggling at home than going to this hospital for “treatment”.

they lied to me about how long I would be there, didn't treat my lacerations, incorrectly put I was suicidal on my chart, lied about when a psych nurse would be there(the nurse said to staw away from the catholic places. didn't give me food or water for twelve hours, wouldn't let me find out the names of those treating me, one nurse laughed at me and said "it was my fault what did I expect" they didn't give me my daily or any ,medication except when i was crying to get me to "shut up"

The worst experience at an ER. Went in for back and hip pain and was sat on a chair in a waiting room after seeing triage. After 45mins I asked the doctor that had done the consultation when I’d be getting a bed and he responded with “oh right” looks around and sits me on a bed in the hallway. I asked for an IV treatment as I was clearly dehydrated and they refused. Told me they’d send me home with prescriptions for my terrible pain. I got to the pharmacy, nothing was sent. I called the ER and the doctor wasn’t there and no one could help me. DONT GO HERE

I would put 0 stars. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone with a life threatening emergency. I went to the ER yesterday at 2:30pm. ALL Emergency dept in America would ask why are you here, but not Good Sam. I wanted to let the reception know I've been having tight pain in chest and difficulty breathing and pain I left arm. I have family history of heart issues but she never asked or gave me a chance. She took my info, gave me my wristband and told to sit and wait to be called. There were more than 30 people in the waiting room for various reasons but I waited till 4:00pm and left and went to another hospital. In event if a heart attack, time is most essential and by waiting close to 2 hours to take vitals is inexcusable! Horrible ER.

I had an ER visit in the afternoon February 22nd following being in the backseat of a car crash. It was bizarre, starting from the volunteer ambulance dismissing my concerns on chest and shoulder pain and high blood pressure and already bleeding from a lab corp visit 10 minutes prior, and continued into the ER, where I was first asked to do the EKG order in the hallway where strangers can see my exposed body. I was discharged in the evening with a script for tylenol. I do not fully blame physical symptoms of blood clotting and other physical aftermath of the accident, while hospitalized days later in Nyack, on experience in Good Sam ER - however I felt I was not listened to and my family history includes heart conditions, and events like heart attacks and strokes and mini strokes. I understand wait times and prioritizing but I regret going to the emergency room despite needing to.

Nurses are nice but no sense of urgency and waited 3 hours after test to get results. Don’t go there if it’s a severe emergency

ER is a joke, they made it so small and you have to check in on a screen… can’t even speak to anyone, just a “nurse” in the front that just points to the screens to check in. And they have the nerve to call it a University hospital now. Unbelievable.

The nurses are horrible you ask them for something they never show up . I asked a nurse 3 times about blood results she just kept telling me the same answer i don’t know I haven’t checked the computer . I asked for apple juice for my baby because we were there from 10 am till 7 pm and my baby was obviously hungry thirsty i asked if she can have some apple juice the nurse said she’ll bring it in a second and she just sat down and kept talking all they do is talk the bed next to me 2 more patients were seen the beds weren’t even cleaned and sanitized as soon as they left the patients after had to ask for them to be cleaned that it ridiculous

Worst hospital ever. The nurses don’t know anything from when you will be seen to how long the Dr will be able to contact you. They can’t tell you schedules of doctors. We waited a day for this Dr to see us and I’ve never met a more incompetent group of people in my life. I wouldn’t bring my dog here.

Worst ER ever. You will get better care and attentiveness at a vet. I understand short staff and covid but they move at the same pace no matter how many patients are there.

I’ve been coming for years for my Dad now my mom who’s 97. Had a fall. Dr López should be arrested for impersonating a doctor. Told him my mom takes oxy pain meds for chronic back pain. When pain gets out of control very hard to manage after that. Dr López said they were very short staffed. It’s been 3 hrs. Had to send my wife home to get them. Poorly trained staff and even less compassionate. Scary thought if something very serious going on. Dr López should be cleaning the the bathrooms at best

HORRIBLE. Negligent staff. I witnessed a blind man fall on his face and bust his face open because everyone that passed by ignored him when he said he had to use the bathroom. Nurses take hours to come check on me. I couldn’t get a room for more than 48 hours, I had an infected cyst causing extreme pain and I also had COVID . Yet again was placed on a stretcher next to the kitchen area for hours with no attention. I would give 0 stars if possible.
