This place is extremely expensive to stay for a weekend. We were encouraged by the “overnight perks” however those were minimal at best. The only “perk” we received was being able to get our parkas a little faster. We were unable to eat at a single restaurant (they were all booked), we couldn’t order room service (they were too busy), we could barley take any pictures in the Ice exhibit because it was packed full of people, even the Santa pictures were extremely hard to get done because they were at capacity. We will paid $600++ per night, $25++ per day for parking, over $1000 for the additional activities and couldn’t even eat at the hotel. I will not bother wasting my time and or money here again.

First and foremost I am very disappointed and would never come back. We paid $1,500 a night plus taxes and totally not worth it. We arrived 4 days ago and it was chaos when arriving. No valet available. This hotel gives access to the outside public to visit all activities and functions leaving us guests with little or no availability to the restaurants and all other activities. Just to get in to a restaurant was a minimum of an hour wait. The Christmas village was packed and you could barely walk in there, very very crowded. The hotel does not care and was not considerate of the guests staying there. My advise, don’t waste your money by staying there. If you want to visit the ICE or any other activities and functions you can stay at another hotel and get the same service as any guest staying at the Gaylord who is paying above $ 1,500 a night. Which is crazy!! Too expensive for nothing. The executive suite was very outdated, old and very dirty. They don’t get sanitized either. They never cleaned our suite only did the beds and left towels. Gaylord needs much much improvement. I would suggest Gaylord management to limit the entrance to outside guests. Guests staying there should be a priority and number one. The Ice skating ring is very very small and poorly constructed. All activities are outrageously expensive and totally not worth it. Worst Christmas ever.

I really loved my stay here. Me and my husband did a weekend getaway and decided to use our Bonvoy points and we just had a fantastic time. Service was great and our room was comfy. Although the atrium itself is kinda noisy you don't hear it in your room. Only drawback is trying to leave the garage. We paid for it but for whatever reason when we tried to leave using our room key we had to pay again. Hopefully they can have a better process for that in the future. I do recommend staying here though.

If you have kids under 40” skip this place and check into the Great Wolf. I attended a conference but kids were too small for slides. One person maximum going down slides and 300# weight limit(was no where near limit). Had a three year old that loves slides but he wouldn’t go down by himself like you can at Great Wolf. Reception/Staff was not very knowledgeable about water park kept referencing the map. Guidelines do not list a one at a time rule. Tons of cute things in hotel for kids but posted notes that they are for pictures only, no climbing/touching. Two kid meals on menu. Again had to reference website for more options. Indoor pool is part of a spa and people getting spa stuff done groan on kids actually playing. Outdoor pool is hot. Weather was over a hundred. Nothing inside hotel was for kids except a tiny place you could paint a small cheap canvas or put something together. Great wolf is literally next door. Valet is high if you don’t use it. I will definitely stay at Great Wolf next time and use valet to park. Three hour wait on dinner was insane. I wish I had known.

So, this is more of a Christmas event review. My kids loved it. I enjoyed it. the pros and cons are pretty even. Pros: Well done and very professional Super kid friendly The Ice slide and snow tubing is great Cons: Super expensive to do everything Not everything is little kid friendly A few things are exclusive to Hotel patrons only. Hotel Patrons get priority lines for some things over just showing up and buying. One last thing. The people at the Hot Chocolate stand outside of the ice sculptures are the nicest people and will do their best to customize the temp you need for the Hot Chocolate.

It is very expensive to stay here and the food is also. The rooms are a bit small for what available and if you have a large family. You will most likely have to rent more than one room. Although, they did have pull out beds you could rent. Love that they had restaurants available and little shops. Wish there was a little more variety for restaurants though. I do wish the area had like a play area for kids at the resort. It was a nice resort and I really liked the concierge service we received with our luggage. The water park is the amazing part of this place very kid friendly in all areas and just a nice place to stay and hang out especially in the toddler/kid water area. Overall, this is a great place to stay with family but it might not be budget friendly.

Don't get me wrong the overall experience was great. Prompt room service. The staff was super helpful. Before I forget, I stayed last weekend. Bed was nice, shower was decent . Food was absolutely delicious. My only issue, which can't be completely confirmed, is that I do believe I contracted a ringworm from there. I read in another guest's review that his friend got ringworm from there. I've been to a number of hotels this year plus the beach and have not brought home anything until this week. Again I can't confirm it , but I'm just going with the process of elimination. This site is an exceptionally beautiful location. Just be careful. Clean, clean, clean, clean and then clean again.

I got to take my girls on a little getaway over the weekend, and we chose the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention center. Now, I might not be the best judge, because I have never been to a resort until now. But this was incredible!! The room was nice and clean. We had all of the amenities we needed. There's a great guy there, named Norm, who helped us with our luggage. He was not only very friendly, but also had tons of extra information about the property and surrounding areas that we couldn't have gotten from a pamphlet. The indoor and outdoor pools were both really nice. They weren't too crowded and we had no problems finding a shaded spot to sit at the outdoor pool. The controlled temp in the atrium is an absolute Godsend, and you don't even realize it until you go from the inside to outside of the facility. There are so many nice places to choose for dinner. We ended up with room service. It's my only complaint about the whole trip. The food tasted old and even the chocolate cake was gross. But one bad meal isn't going to ruin something that amazing. We will definitely be going back.

Room was big, nice, and really clean! Resort is well kept very nice. Tried paradise springs and my kids liked it, I thought it was really small. The pool at the resort was nice just the jacuzzi was so small 4 adults can fit comfortably so that sucked. The parking garage is really close so that’s a plus valet didn’t feel necessary.

Really enjoyed staying at The Gaylord right before the holidays. There are so many great things to see and do just inside of the resort. You have to visit the "Ice" display and experience the beautiful designs plus the slide. There are wonderful festive treats to eat as well after viewing the ice sculptures. Extremely comfortable beds, and overall nice accommodations. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful from sun-up to sundown. Lots of food options located inside of the resort from sit down options, to grab and go options. Plus room service stayed available late into the night and arrived quickly each time. Easy, convenient parking for guest and visitors.

Hotel staffs are super friendly and professional service. They always listen, empathy, and respond to the guests. Also, we went to try dining restaurant at Hickory steakhouse, ordered three course dinner and so delicious and 😋 tasty. Would recommend come to Friday and Saturday that will have most activities available for guests. Ask front desk for see schedule operation for more detail information each day. Beautiful hotel

This Resort exceeds the excellent expectations that I’ve had comparing to the price per room. It is very elegant, clean, pleasantly inviting and welcoming!! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, pro-active and professional. The conference rooms are large, comfortable and very well maintained and equipped with up to date technology. Rooms are fancy and very comfortable. I am delighted by this place!

From the minutes you walk in everyone was so happy and accommodating even with a lot of convention people there. Spent a lot of time at Texan station sports bar. What a fabulous place. The server, Taylor, we had for one lunch was great. Never empty on drinks and have some good recommendation for food. One busy Friday night the 2 bartender, Kelly and Ciera, that where working I guess it’s called the over flow bar across from the entrance were straight up on top of their game. Super busy but they served everyone with efficiency and with a smile. You can tell they like serving people. A fresh smiling face is such a good thing to see. Complete 6 star performance. We enjoyed the resort so much we booked an extra night after our flight got cancelled. Keep up the great work.

The Gaylord Texan is definitely a sight to behold. There is great attention to detail at every turn and we enjoyed many walks in the Atrium and around the grounds because we saw something new each time. The standard rooms are what you'd find at any mid-range hotel, which was the only let-down for the price, but they're well-maintained. The amenities are what make this resort worth the stay. There's both an indoor and outdoor pool plus Paradise Springs which is free for overnight guests and has a shuttle bus that runs back and forth every few minutes. There are scavenger hunts for the kids, animal encounters and a nightly light show, as well as activities you can pay extra for like Escape Rooms and crafts. We saved money by bringing our own food in, which no one seemed to mind, so we didn't eat at any of the restaurants or order room service, but we saw quite a few options available as we roamed around. We did try out the Sprinkles cupcake vending machine, though, which was fun and got some coffee at the Starbucks. Another good thing to point out is the wheelchair accessibility. Our daughter is disabled but had no trouble getting around everywhere we wanted to go and the shuttle bus to Paradise Springs even had a ramp and could accommodate her wheelchair easily. Overall, this was a great experience and we look forward to returning again soon!

Was here for a conference and some fun. I thought the room was huge and in great shape. There was plenty of sitting space, a giant TV, a big closet, a wonderful view... Really all of the things you need. I ordered room service twice and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and hot. Of course it is pricey, it's a resort. The grounds are immaculate and all of the service is top notch! Beautiful inside with lots to do and see. Great little shops and really superb food! It's also very close to downtown Grapevine; a quick drive or Uber away. The pools are great and the spa was amazing. Oh, and the gym is fully stocked/great size!

My first time visiting the Gaylord Texan after hearing so much about it on social media and TV shows, and I must say that I was impressed. Decided to stay 2 nights in the main atrium area where you could witness from the balcony all the Christmas joy. I won't go into much into detail about it because you certainly have to see it to believe it. I will say that it's quite breathtaking. The room was a double and I would say average like Embassy Suite kind which didn't leave a memorable impression. , but thankfully the fun made up for it down at the Hill Country atrium. A couple of restaurants on site were good, but few others not so much, but I'll be leaving separate reviews for that. The staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful to all customers it seemed. While visiting, we also made it a point to see ICE "The Grinch" which I absolutely recommend and it's located it the Hotel convention center. So much fun and so much excitement that I'm actually looking forward to returning next year. Anyway, I'll let my photos speak for all the fun.

We went to Gaylord Texan resort and convention center during Christmas celebration and it was worth the trip. The Convention center is huge. The Christmas tree, Christmas lights, Miniature Christmas village were all great. Even the fountains at this place are huge..! The music in the background makes the experience memorable. We were at the convention center for 6 hrs. and it didn't feel that way. The staff that works here is very friendly and helpful, they guided us well and the staff recommendations were appropriate. The ICE was an great experience, so were the tubing other activities. Kids had lots of fun..!

We didn't stay here but did enjoy the amazing Ice Scultures and Christmas Village event. It was beautifully decorated and the scavenger hunt was very well organized and fun. The only issue we had was the tickets were showing up as blank QR codes which made it impossible for us to get scanned at all the various events (ice skating, tubing, carousel, etc). So, that would need to be improved. Overall, though we enjoyed the experience!

What an incredible stay so far -- and we just checked in today! I have to acknowledge the INCREDIBLE customer service by Porter, who checked us in! He was so kind, energetic and positive, smiling the entire time. He gave us a great room, made things very easy for us, gave us complimentary drink tickets, and 10% off at the spa! The icing on the cake, literally, was when we got back to our room after dinner, there was a tray on our desk with Gummy Bears, Popcorn, Glazed Pecans, Beef Jerky, Pretzels, Hot Cheetos, Dublin Texas Root Beer and Dublin Cream soda, with glasses and napkins! There was a card on the tray. It was handwritten by Porter. He just wanted to send us this gift to welcome us and say good luck with the dance comp we were attending, and was hoping we were having an amazing time! Porter, AMAZING! You made our day and night, and our daughter took pictures, because she was blown away by your thoughtfulness! We want you to know we will write corporate Marriott and tell them what an amazing and unforgettable stay this was, due to your kindness! THANK YOU! Would highly recommend this hotel! Would highly recommend asking for Porter. It has been an unforgettable stay on the first day!

We love staying at the Gaylord. There is always something unexpected and fun to do. The water park was awesome and not overly crowded, in spite of it being a holiday weekend. We were especially impressed with their customer service this last trip. My daughter left her favorite stuffed animal in the room when we left, and when we called Lost and Found the next day, they had it, and offered to send it to us free of charge. They really take care of their guests! We appreciate it SO much!

Stayed here and found our room ready early, which was quite nice. Room was clean overall with comfortable & fluffy beds (2-queens), plenty of towels, high pressure shower and not far from elevator. Service is super friendly too, here! The hotel is beautiful all over with it's spacious gardens, water fountains, coffee shops and more. Four tickets for their water park were included which was awesome... great water park with slides, zip lining, splash pad and more! I highly recommend it, even if it's just for a nice walk around the hotel and having a refreshing cup of coffee with a loved one! 🌺🍃

It is definitely Disney inspired Hotel, but it is not worth $350+ per room. I stayed and the bathroom was old with the plastic curtain on it, the carpet smelled old and the furniture was dirty on the top. You can stay much better for a better price, and come to visit only. For kids is great, but everything has a price tag. No “free” activities… if I came back in the future, I'll stay in another place and enjoy the day here.

The parking during normal operations isn't bad, but if there are any events going on, be prepared to be in large lines to enter the parking garage. The garage is a bit of a walk from the front check-in doors. The rooms are average unless you request and pay for the view. No big surprise there, but the rate you're going to pay for the non view rooms is high for what you're going to get. We bought the government rate room for a quick stay this time, and it definitely is a lower rate for a lesser room. Outside of our window, we see a rooftop for a lower level. The normal rooms, at least we had views of the town, woods, or when we paid for atrium views, we got to see the lights and event going on in the main lobby area. The check-in process is long, unless you get the app and do all of it electronically beforehand. Check-in isn't until 4 pm, and check out is 11 am. The atrium is done up spectacular for Christmas. We changed into pajamas after dinner and walked around and took photos.

It’s a lot to take in at first. What I can compare it to is a cruise ship on ground. Definitely got lost a Time or two. Recommend a balcony room it’s worth it. I would recommend this place. We had an issue with the air conditioning in the room but Amanda took care of it she definitely went above and beyond. Never tried the restaurants too expensive. We Will definitely come back. Pools were good. Hot tub wasn’t hot enough. There’s only one hot tub for the entire hotel. Indoor pools on the other side of the hotel for the outdoor pool. There are resort fees, and parking fees with this hotel.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights here for our anniversary and had a great time. The room was excellent. We enjoyed the summer cirque and had an excellent dinner at Zeppole Italian restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised to find the immense covered atrium which provided plenty of natural sunlight. It felt like being outside but climate controlled.

Overall a great property, close to DFW and self containing for the business traveler. The room was good size, but the work area was a bit small/cramped against the balcony glass. The bathroom was a good size. Only complaint on the atrium facing room is the noise echoes and the hotel doesn't attempt to quite groups loud after midnight. Several restaurants within the hotel with great food selection and service. The conference facilities attached were excellent.

We spent New Year's Eve at the Gaylord Texan and without exception every staff member we encountered was friendly, sweet and helpful. Arriving parking attendant had a warm smile and provided pointers that started off our positive experience! Mobile check in was great...young man was very helpful. Lunch at Texas Station was good and our server, was so kind. Old Hickory Steak House dinner was exceptional. They took great care of us. An extra shout out to our parking attendant upon departure. She had such a sweet disposition and truly seemed to care about our visit. A very sweet person/employee! Every member of the was kind and seemed to enjoy helping their guests and the hotel is beautiful...Our first experience at Gaylord Texan but not our last

We visited for the ICE! exhibit and weren’t actually hotel guests. Highly recommend the ICE! experience. It was beautiful and lots of fun. However, food was expensive (dry hot dog with 2 mustard packets is $8), souvenir photo package options were $45 or $65… which was excessive considering garage parking is $40, tickets $50 each, one carousel ride (small carousel- for children!) ticket $11. Id definitely recommend eating prior to visiting. Bring GLOVES and a scarf for your ears for the ICE! exhibit and visit with young kiddos before arriving about licking the ice being a big NO NO! There is an ice slide (pictured) inside the exhibit that is included with your ticket. It’s the tubing slide outside of the exhibit that requires an extra ticket. The ice bar was cool and 2 drink options were fast, delicious, and strong. You can walk through the exhibit with your drink, However there are no garbage cans in the exhibit so you had to carry an empty cup full of ice in the 9 degree environment through the remainder of the exhibit, which was a pain while trying to also take photos. We will definitely return in future years with more knowledge under our belt!

Enjoyed my stay here for Thanksgiving! This was my first time staying at a Gaylord. We were upgraded to a suite and loved our room. Super festive with beautiful Christmas decorations all over the hotel. Only complaints was used the mobile checkin line and the front desk agent did not provide any information about the hotel, I was never asked about my titanium arrival gift and I never even received my folio upon checkout. The sports bar had great food but the floor was filthy with food and trash throughout entire restaurant - pretty gross and not a sight to see when trying to eat. ICE was a cool experience but I feel they should limit the amount of people - everyone is packed like sardines so makes viewing the ice sculptures difficult especially when it’s freezing and you can’t move. Other than that would definitely stay again!

This hotel has something for everyone. They nickel and dime on everything but nothing is free, right? This place reliable offera upgrades to Marriott loyalty guests. Our favorite time of year is Christmas season. Try to go during the week because the weekends are packed and feels a bit like a theme park.

Gave it 3 stars because it can get pricey with paying for snacks, kids activities. The restaurants were full. Spent about 150 for 3 hotdogs 3 brisket sandwiches and 3 sodas. It's better to get out of the hotel and get something to eat. The activities were nice my teens loved it. They are in between the ages of 12-16. Would be nice to have a little more to do since we stayed 2 nights. Would be nice to have a play area for babies I have a one year old. All activities are for older kids. Except the carousel. Overall experience we had a good time by the end of the night we were all ready to go to sleep.

If you've never stayed at a Gaylord hotel, you're in for a treat. These are not just hotels, but rather a destination. The Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas, was my first experience at this brand and it did not disappoint. This property is nestled on the shores of Lake Grapevine with a plethora of amenities. From the moment I stepped into the expansive atrium, I was transported into a world of Texan grandeur (everything really is bigger in Texas). The hotel's interior is a wonderful display of Lone Star State culture and history, complete with lush indoor gardens, meandering waterways, and a replica of the San Antonio Riverwalk. The room accommodations were quite nice, not amazing, but very nice nonetheless. My room was spacious with view of the lake. The detail in the room's decor provides a subtle nod to Texas's rich heritage. Dining at the Gaylord Texan was a delightful experience. Each restaurant offers a unique atmosphere and menu, ranging from upscale steakhouses to casual eateries. What truly sets the Gaylord Texan apart is its massive array of activities and amenities. The hotel has both indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center and spa. For those looking to explore, the hotel's proximity to Grapevine's charming downtown and its array of shops and wineries was a big plus. The customer service throughout my stay was exemplary. Each staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. It's this level of service that makes the Gaylord Texan stand out.

Went to view ICE! How the Grinch stole Christmas. The ice sculptures were so beautiful and detailed. The amount of time it took to get inside was about 10mins from your actual start time//reservation. I also bought other activities as well but for some reason we couldn’t find the scavenger hunt activity so I wasted money on that. The shops, parking and food were a bit pricey but a nice experience overall especially for the kids.

A small piece of advice for fellow travelers: when booking hotels, don’t skip on HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm It can offer some great deals! This resort does not disappoint. We had awesome balcony rooms you can sit and relax on. First time to see ICE and it was 9 degrees of magic. I suggest wearing extra warm clothes, gloves, & ear warmers. It was really crowded but still enjoyable. Beautiful hotel & comfortable rooms.

It was a nice enough facility. The public areas were beautiful. Rooms were small and lackluster. But I didn't mind that. The biggest issue was the dirty room. The floor had trash on it and it had a funk. The blood in the bed was also pretty horrible. They gave us a $130 credit, which is good I suppose. But again, there was blood in the bed. They obviously didn't change the bedding. Makes you wonder how much else gets overlooked. I appreciate they credited us, but then the didn't clean it up until 4pm. We reported it at 7:30am. Then when they cleaned the room, they still didn't vacuum the dirty floor. It grosses me out thinking back about this place.

Absolutely the worst managed hotel that I've been to in all my travel in 47 years. The Hotel was overbooked for multiple conventions during our stay. Had over 7,000 people trolling the grounds and everything was closed or closed early. On Sunday people had to wait in lines over 2 hours just to check-in and they had only 4 people working the desk. To get a coffee in the morning it was 100+ people deep. The night club was only open 2 of the 5 nights we stayed. Pool bar only served food on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday we had to order from an app and it took almost 2 hours for food (2 salads) to arrive. The Steakhouse was closed Monday and Tuesday night. Most of the bars with the exception of the Texas Bar and the Lobby Bar were open after 9:30. The only saving grace was Akrit who was the manager at the Texas Bar and Restaurant. He was amazing and took care of us while we were there. He was amazing. If you are forced to go to the Hotel, please frequent this place. The Italian restaurant was nice too, if you are lucky enough to get a reservation. Lexi and Alexandra were very nice and attentive. But my real compliant and the reason for the 1 star review is the overall management of the hotel. When you know you have a hotel booked to the max, bring in more staff and keep you businesses open. Oh and the walls at the hotel are paper thin. You can hear every word the people next to you are saying crystal clear. Will not ever stay at a Gaylord property again.

Absolutely fantastic! Everyone was super nice and helpful. So many things to do! The shuttles to see the shows were great and the drivers were super cool! My only complaint is that we did not get our room cleaned the last two days we were there and our coffee supplies had run out. I called the front desk and they delivered more coffee after about a 30 minute wait. I really need my coffee in the morning! I guess I should have called the night before but I was too exhausted from all the fun!

Wow! Really... wow! We just held a conference here. I was there for 6 days and ALL of the food we had was excellent. The service was spectacular. The event staff was so welcoming and responsive. A special call out to Humam. He was the life of the party! He was so attentive and engaging with us and all of our participants. We had such a great experience at each of the restaurants regardless of if it was part of our conference and we booked the whole restaurant or if we were there for a quick bite before the conference got going. I ordered breakfast room service a couple of times and it was right on time, hot/cold appropriately, delivered with a smile, and no detail of condiment was forgotten. The daily room refresh was awesome without me having to ask for it like at other places. All of the photo backdrops throughout the whole place are stunning. The only thing I wish would be different is the quality of the toilet paper.. I'd just like it a little softer. Such a great experience! I highly recommend!

This Hotel is massive and so unique. It has everything you need on its campus that you will not need to leave. Bars, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and a cupcake machine to name a few items. The rooms a comfortable and clean. The staff is genuine and helpful. I came for a conference and I would love to come back again on my personal time.

We had a great time at the Gaylord. We had a great time at the water park. There were plenty of places to just hang out and have a cocktail, plus some really fun attractions and it was not too busy so we were able to enjoy everything. We had some delicious cocktails and listened to some really lovely music from a local musician at one of the hotel bars. There was plenty to explore and in general it's a unique, beautiful hotel. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is that we did not enjoy our dinner at Zeppole, where we experienced poor service and not very high quality food for the price point. I'd recommend trying one of the other restaurants (the Texan had decent sports bar food) or venturing into Grapevine. And if you forget anything, do not go to the hotel shop. I expected it to be more expensive than a grocery store or pharmacy, but $25 for a small bottle of sunscreen is totally absurd.

The hotel is very busy this time of year so be prepared. Downloaded the mobile app so that was helpful. A lot of the areas in the lobby felt like I was at a daycare. There should be better separate areas for kids and adults especially the bar area. My room was clean and housekeeping did a great job. Room service was also top notch. I suggest you go early to the Christmas venues pack your patience and enjoy. The Italian restaurant and the Cantina were my best stops for a good meal that was reasonably priced.

Very nice hotel. The rooms are not bad. The bell man and the housekeeping were very helpful and courteous. The price for the rooms are not my favorite and I get that its because we are in a resort. However, if we pay so much for a room, you would think that some items would be included. You still have to pay top dollar for ALL activities and they even charge a service charge(gratuity) on ONE drink. I think that I should have the liberty to tip if I would like to OR not. Especially if the service is not worth the gratuity. All in all, it was an experience but make sure you bring your fat wallet. 😁

Nice place to have a Christmas experience. We always stop in every year and this time we stayed the night. Place is huge so a very long walk to our room. Wasn't disappointed as it looked onto the Christmas lights display. Overall room was nice as well as basic. Serval bars were closed the day we came so it made it a little hard to find a drink, other guests felt the same. Loved the outdoor warm pool and hot tub, which I think must didn't know about cause we had it all to ourselves.

Non Profit I work for utilized this resort and convention center for our annual conference. Spacious, clean, and great service. Catering was always amazing! My room was spacious and cozy for my 5 night stay. Room service was always super fast, the pizza is amazing!

I stayed here for 3 nights for a work conversation recently. The resort is MASSIVE but beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My room was a king sized suite, was very spacious, clean, and was decorated nicely. I lucked out and had a view of Lake Grapevine as well!

If I could give zero stars I would. Awful experience. My husband and I wanted a staycation where we could enjoy good food and a pool. The pool was dirty. Staff were unhappy and unhelpful. Guest services had us use an app to reserve a table at the steakhouse. When we called to try to change our reservation to 30 min later we were told by guest services the restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday. There were no other availabilities left at any other restaurant. Pool side menu has 4 options maybe. We left to have a nice dinner at a restaurant and just went home after. We called in to see if they would give us a voucher maybe or discount for another day when restaurants are open. The manager working on 7/3/23 informed us that the restaurant was in fact open and that due to the fact that the restaurant was not part of our room fee that there was nothing she would do for us. I stated that I could not believe they have contractors there they refer you to but throw their hands up and say not our fault if there’s s problem? She replied ma’am if you would refrain from putting words in my mouth, also what is it you’re looking for? I stated again, some kind of customer service, maybe a discount or voucher for another day so we can give it another chance. I do not recommend coming here if you’re looking for a nice simple dinner and pool get away!

Great place to bring the kids and family. You’ll have a great time. Water park is pretty cool and they also have one indoor and outdoor pool. Water park is no extra charge if you stay here but it’ll quickly add up once you start ordering food or drinks. Everything is expensive. Our room was about $250 for one night. Ended up with a $650 bill which included $150 for dinner so Most of it was resorts fees and taxes! Rooms are not that big and Oh they also charge you for parking, which is disappointing being that we can come here on any day just to eat lunch or have a drink and have our parking ticket validated. Probably the last night we stay here. Ive spent less staying on the River walk in San Antonio even with Parking charges for a whole weekend.

We didn't stay here, but we had a multi- day conference on the property and the management seemed pretty awful. A ton of people were told they couldn't check in because they weren't sure if they had a room for them, even though they had made reservations. They have a beautiful property, but they seem to only care about the money and squeezing people onto their property. Plus, $20 just to enter the parking facilities, even if you are only going to be there for 30 minutes, seems crazy to me!

This is an excellent place to stay! It has everything you could want - you don't even have to leave the hotel! The rooms are gorgeous, the staff are super friendly, fast to help, and accommodating, the food is delicious in every restaurant we tried, the shopping is Terrific, the pool is fun, with drinks & music there.... We found the drinks to be a tad pricey though, so budget for that if you like to imbibe :) The grounds and hotel itself were super clean and very well maintained. So many eye-catching things to see that your head is on a constant swivel every time you walk around. I could return here and spend a week just enjoying all it has to offer!

The Gaylord is a huge resort with a fantastic atrium and a lot of a dining options! To get it out of the way: everything is expensive. They have a fantastic breakfast buffet, for example, but it'll end up costing you around $40 per person after tip. But the food is fantastic, all the drinks are unlimited and included. This theme of good food and high prices is mirrored throughout all the dining options. The rooms are great and the cleaning staff is very good. My only complaint, and this doesn't affect my review, is that in some visits my room has been very far from the convention center, despite being booked with a special rate as a result of the convention. You'd think that knowing the room is being used by an attendee that you'd be placed closer to the convention center. Overall, a great experience. It's not "just" a hotel by any means.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal at the steakhouse located in the Gaylord hotel. I wasn't a hotel guest, but my sisters and their families stayed at the Gaylord for my son's wedding weekend. We met up at the steakhouse the Friday evening before the wedding festivities to relax and catch-up. The atmosphere, service and food were excellent. I was especially impressed by Hala. She assisted us as we were leaving the restaurant. Extremely professional and personable. Her hospitality was extraordinary and very much appreciated!
