If
you've
never
stayed
at
a
Gaylord
hotel,
you're
in
for
a
treat.
These
are
not
just
hotels,
but
rather
a
destination.
The
Gaylord
Texan
in
Grapevine,
Texas,
was
my
first
experience
at
this
brand
and
it
did
not
disappoint.
This
property
is
nestled
on
the
shores
of
Lake
Grapevine
with
a
plethora
of
amenities.
From
the
moment
I
stepped
into
the
expansive
atrium,
I
was
transported
into
a
world
of
Texan
grandeur
(everything
really
is
bigger
in
Texas).
The
hotel's
interior
is
a
wonderful
display
of
Lone
Star
State
culture
and
history,
complete
with
lush
indoor
gardens,
meandering
waterways,
and
a
replica
of
the
San
Antonio
Riverwalk.
The
room
accommodations
were
quite
nice,
not
amazing,
but
very
nice
nonetheless.
My
room
was
spacious
with
view
of
the
lake.
The
detail
in
the
room's
decor
provides
a
subtle
nod
to
Texas's
rich
heritage.
Dining
at
the
Gaylord
Texan
was
a
delightful
experience.
Each
restaurant
offers
a
unique
atmosphere
and
menu,
ranging
from
upscale
steakhouses
to
casual
eateries.
What
truly
sets
the
Gaylord
Texan
apart
is
its
massive
array
of
activities
and
amenities.
The
hotel
has
both
indoor
and
outdoor
pools,
a
fitness
center
and
spa.
For
those
looking
to
explore,
the
hotel's
proximity
to
Grapevine's
charming
downtown
and
its
array
of
shops
and
wineries
was
a
big
plus.
The
customer
service
throughout
my
stay
was
exemplary.
Each
staff
member
I
encountered
was
friendly,
helpful,
and
went
above
and
beyond
to
ensure
my
comfort
and
satisfaction.
It's
this
level
of
service
that
makes
the
Gaylord
Texan
stand
out.
